Fuck, it's been a while lmao. A whole of three months. But, I'm back for now and such. I've just been way too busy with life and dealing with my mental health and trying to stay happy. But Ive came back to write some more so I hope you enjoy because I built up a lot of courage for this fic. (Also sorry for spelling errors, I tend to type quick.)

Sonic's sleep was not so good the night of the 'incident' with him and Miles. He was tossing and turning all of that night thinking and worrying about his brother. He woke up the next morning with heavy eyes and matted fur; he then looked over to see his boyfriend sitting up, reading a book. Peacefully. Sonic was confused for a quick moment because his boyfriend was fully dressed in his clothing and had his shoes on.

"Well, good morning sleepy head. I've been up for 4 hours now waiting for you to finally awake from your hibernation."

Said Shadow as he closed his book and looked at Sonic with a neutral look on his face. His eyes then slowly wandered over to look at the clock, then he looked back at Sonic. Sonic tilted his head to look at the clock and his eyes widened. It was half passed 10 and Sonic was supposed to awaken with Shadow at 7 so they could walk down to the beach together and watch the sun gleam it's bright glow over the ocean.

Sonic got up from the bed that him and Shadow were sharing and got his clothes on. He put on some swimming trunks and a black zip-up hoodie.

"Well, I suppose since I slept in. That we could possibly go over there now?"

Said Sonic as he put some socks and his classic shoes on and got up.

"Well, no we can't exactly go right now because uh. I have work, that's why I suggested we go earlier.

Said Shadow as he got up and grabbed his keys off of his night-table and started walking towards Sonic. He then gave Sonic a quick kiss and walked out the door of their bedroom and headed near the front door. Sonic had completely forgotten about Shadow's job at their local pet shelter.

"I'll see you later this evening babe, love ya"

Shouted Shadow from the front door as he slowly shut it behind him. Sonic looked out his bedroom window as he watches his boyfriend cheerfully walk down the sidewalk. He watched him slowly fade into the distance while smiling brightly. Sonic thought of the time they first met for a while and smiled lightly. He had always sensed Shadow's bitter spot for love, he just knew he had it in him.

While Sonic was still caught up in his daydreaming he barely heard his cellphone ring. It was Knuckles attempting to contact him. Sonic's phone buzzed and buzzed until he heard his ringtone slowly get louder and louder. Sonic snapped out of his daydream as fast as a flick of a switch. He then scrambled to pick his phone up and pressed the answer button with his pointer finger.

"Hello?, what're you doing up Knux?. You're usually asleep till the late afternoon, did something happen?."

Spoke Sonic with an unusual tone in his voice, Knuckles then spoke solemnly.

"Hey, Sonic I know this is a weird time to contact you but it's something urgent i need to tell you"

Said Knuckles with a grim tone to his voice. Sonic became more confused and simply asked.

"Well, what would you like to tell me?"

Knuckles then spoke.

"It's Miles... he's missing"

Said Knuckles, his tone full of serious. Sonic slowly opened his mouth and his pupils dilated ever so small. He then spoke softly and stuttered"

"Miles is... m-missing?"

Spoke Sonic softly as he held the phone closely to his ear and sat down on the edge of his bed. Knuckles then spoke more.

"Yes, me and Rouge figured we would go and pay him a little visit as we were walking by his hut, but we did notice that all of his lights were off and his door was.. weirdly... unlocked. Which as you obviously know is very rare for Miles since he is so paranoid."

Spoke Knuckles in a very serious tone, Sonic was listening, his ears were wide open ready for news about his brother. Knuckles continued.

"So at first me and Rouge knocked on his door and wriggled the door knob, and his door opened with a creak. I walked in slowly and shouted for him to see if he was in there. But he was nowhere to be seen. So me and Rouge went upstairs to look in his bedroom to see if he was sleeping but there was nothing but dirty clothing and paperwork spread all over his room. We checked everywhere in his hut and he wasn't there."

Spoke Knuckles as his tone changed drastically from solemn to worried or anxious. He then continued.

"We were starting to get worried so we waited on his front doorstep for about an hour, but he never came back; and that's when I started to look around and call Amy to ask if she's seen him. She responded no and apparently the last time she saw him he was on his phone in his front yard, which was a few days ago. Then I called you to see if you had any details."

Spoke Knuckles as he anxiously walked back and forth around his and Rouge's living room. Sonic then started. He stuttered gently.

"I haven't seen Miles since yesterday, which was when I payed him a little visit that started good but didn't end so well. He kinda s-snapped at me and shoved me away. Then went inside his house and that was the last I saw of him. He was online on his Facebook for a few hours last night at like 3 but, that's all I've traced of him."

Softly spoke Sonic as he tapped his foot anxiously on the ground. Where could his brother be?.

Goddamn that was a hustle to make, but I had some fun making it and it lightened my mood. I hope you enjoyed and the next chapter will probably be up in a few days or a week.
