Apparently I also spontaneously got a precog power because no sooner had Luffy's shout echoed through the library than we were being told politely, but firmly, to leave. Robin seemed to take it in stride as she casually put the book she was reading from back on the shelf, and a few seconds later the three of us were outside once more.

We were no closer to finding out any kind of information, which I was going to hopefully find through the computer. I had been planning to look up the Undersiders today during homeroom and the library was my second best bet. I really didn't want to have to bite the bullet and use the ancient thing that was at my house. At least we had found one of the crew already.

As I thought that I involuntarily found myself glancing over at Robin, who was busy being regaled by Luffy with what sounded like a recounting of how we met ("She controls bugs! It so cool!"). Wincing at the fact that Luffy was casually outing me to a new person, I decided that I'd just roll with the punches for now. So far nothing I had done had been able to stop Luffy once he got going. Maybe now that I'd found one of his crew I could foist him on her.

I latched onto that idea like a drowning woman finally finding dry land. Hopefully Robin would be reasonable enough to help me out, she seemed much calmer than Luffy at the very least. However, before I could discreetly slip away from the two, they finished their conversation and were now paying attention to me. I winced, but decided to bite the bullet and find out what they just said.

"Sorry, I didn't catch that," I said, fully expecting some sort of reaction from the two.

Robin merely gave a small upturn of her mouth in amusement, while Luffy just beamed at me.

"It's okay, Taylor! I don't pay attention to a lot of stuff too!" Luffy cheerfully informed me. How was this guy the leader of a bunch of parahumans again? Come to think of it, I don't know if I ever asked how many people he was actually looking for.

"It's fine, I was just asking what the two of you were doing in the library. I must admit I didn't expect to see Luffy step foot in there," Robin said before I could ask my question.

Damn it, it felt so weird to be talking to an older woman and having her just wait patiently for my response. It had been…awhile.

"We were going to use the computers there so I could look online for info on your crew, by the way, how many of you are there?" I tacked on the last question almost like an afterthought, even if I was much more curious.

Luffy inhaled as though he was going to go on a long winded speech, but he was stopped by a hand growing out of his arm and then covering his mouth. I jumped in shock and was halfway to summoning a swarm of bugs, but upon closer inspection I realized that Luffy seemed to be perfectly fine with this development.

Glancing around, I was glad to realize that no one was looking in our direction, but I still felt like people could be looking at us from somewhere I couldn't see. I also realized that Robin was now looking me up and down with a considering look.

"Not to worry, there is no one observing us at the moment. I've learned enough about this place to know that casually using powers like this is something most people don't do. Unfortunately, if I let Luffy answer the question then we'd be here all day," she explained as she crossed her arms. "There should be at least ten of us all together, if they all came through then I'm sure that people have started to notice. How were you planning to use this computer to find information?"

I stared at Robin and the hand growing out of Luffy (who was still talking and making gestures even if he couldn't be understood), before what she said registered.

That was… a lot of capes for a crew. I'm pretty sure the Empire still had them beat in the numbers department, but if Luffy could throw down with Lung and win, then I was a bit curious to see what the others would be able to do. I suppose I'd have to just accept that for now, and maybe joining the crew wouldn't be so bad? Although I did shudder at interacting with so many other people.

"I was going to log into PHO for information, usually odd happenings get posted on there, and if any of your crew is as weird as Luffy, then they should be being talked about," I explained.

Robin hummed in acknowledgement, and a second later the hand covering Luffy's mouth disappeared. He looked as though he was almost vibrating with excitement, even though we hadn't actually begun to search for his crew.

"If you need some sort of computer, would one of these suffice for the search?" she asked as she produced a cell phone from somewhere.

I winced at recognizing the device (if the two noticed they didn't comment), before pushing down my distaste. I had just been thinking last night that I needed to get one of these, no use in denying I needed one now.

I accepted the phone with a small thanks and then maneuvered the screen so that I was surfing the internet quickly enough. I punched in the PHO handle and logged in real quick. I hadn't even gotten very far before I noticed that the Brockton Bay forums seemed to be going crazy at the moment.

However, one of the postes in the connections page jumped out at me. It was simply titled "Straw Hat and Bug Girl."

I tried to ignore my now rapidly beating heart as I opened the message, marveling slightly at the speed the phone loaded (I was used to my old beat up computer and Winslow's crap internet, I guess newer model phones were better for this sort of thing).

Subject: Straw Hat and Bug Girl

Owe you guys one. What are your opinions on Cat Burglars? Meet?

Send a message,

Tt.

I blinked as I reread the message, ignoring the debates in the comments that we had somehow stolen from the signed Tt. I glanced up to see Robin waiting patiently while Luffy had wandered off to look at the various buildings that surrounded the library.

"Well, any luck?" she questioned gently as I looked at the two feeling a bit lost.

I honestly wasn't expecting Tattletale to have been able to find me so easily, apparently it was much simpler to be outed than I had been expecting. Now I just had to figure out what the significance of Cat Burglars was, it hadn't escaped me that those two words were capitalized.

"Do either of you know why Tattletale would reach out and ask me about cat burglars?" I asked.

Robin merely blinked at my question, but I knew it was relevant as soon as I saw Luffy's reaction. He inhaled once more and I winced in anticipation for another loud shout.

"NAMI!"

It was the work of a few messages and I was able to finagle a meeting time and place with Tattletale, after making sure to ask a couple of questions that only she'd be able to know. We agreed to meet on a roof near where Luffy and I had flight Lung, and I convinced Luffy that I needed to swing by my house to pick up my costume. After closing down all my personal stuff I had put on the phone I handed back to Robin, who made it disappear.

While I couldn't really do anything to stop Luffy and Robin from wandering to a meeting with known villains maskless, I sure as hell didn't want to. I had them wait a few blocks from my house so I could go in and slip out with my backpack that had my costume stuffed in it.

I changed in an alley, and approached where my bugs were telling me that Luffy and Robin were waiting. A few seconds later we were bouncing on the rooftop to the meeting place that had been specified by Tattletale.

As we approached our destination, I sent a few bugs that scoured the rooftop. I noticed that there were three people waiting there, and to my surprise, they were all in their civilian clothes. I couldn't get a real good look at them until we touched down on the rooftop.

We landed and Luffy let Robin and I go. I'm also proud to say that I didn't feel nearly as disoriented as the last time I had done that. Still wasn't a big fan of that method of travel though.

Across from the three of us were three teens roughly my age. A big guy with dark skin and decent looking muscles wearing jeans and a t-shirt, a pretty boy type with curly black hair in jeans and a white jacket, and a vulpine smiling girl with blonde hair pulled back into a braid wearing a long sleeve black shirt with some graffiti on it and a denim skirt. Her bottle green eyes observing us as we got situated.

Obviously these were three of the four Undersiders that I had met with last night, although they did all look more rumpled compared to then. Maybe it was just the fact that they were all in their plain clothes. I guessed that this was Tattletale, Grue, and Regent. None of them really fit the profile of Bitch (still a weird cape name). I noticed that the blonde's eyes sharpened as the three of us landed across from them, although she immediately seemed wary of my two companions.

I felt a bit annoyed at being dismissed so casually, but the fact that Luffy put down Lung meant that he was definitely the bigger threat at the moment. Although that really didn't explain the wariness that Robin instilled. I glanced at the taller woman and all I could see was her smiling slightly at Tattletale. She also occasionally glanced at the space between the edge of the rooftop and where the three capes were standing.

"Nice of you two to meet us like this," Tattletale opened with, "we're pretty glad that we were able to catch the two of you."

Here she gestured to the pretty boy and he rolled his eyes before forking over a couple of lunch boxes that were casually tossed our way. I caught mine fairly easily and I noticed that Luffy caught his with a bit of a puzzled expression. Maybe it had to do with the fact that it was a Legend lunch box?

My own was an Alexandria one, which I examined suspiciously. Why would they give us themed lunch boxes?

"Geez, Bug Girl, don't worry too much. We said we owed you, so go ahead and open it up, it's all yours no strings attached," Lisa explained without explaining anything.

Sighing in disappointment, I cracked the lunchbox open. Immediately I felt like I should throw it away. Inside was a bunch of cash.

"Woah, woah, no need to throw away a good thing! It's all yours like I said! Two thousand dollars cash, same for Straw Hat!" Lisa placated as she raised her hands soothingly.

I winced at being read so easily, but I closed the box a bit gratefully. Glancing over at Luffy I noticed he hadn't even opened his box and was staring a bit to the side of Tattletale. Deciding I wasn't sure if I wanted to see what had his attention, I decided to answer Tattletale with a few questions.

"Isn't this just money that you stole? Also what's up with meeting out of costume?" I tried to assert a more dominant position in the conversation.

Tattle grimaced at my blunt question and the boy who I assumed was Grue let out a bit of sheepish chuckle.

"Ah, sorry, that was my idea, since Straw Hat guy didn't have a mask I felt like we owed him that too," he explained, "I'm Brian by the way."

I think I believed him with how sheepish he was being and the slightly annoyed stance that Tattletale was taking. However, before she could say anything, the other boy butted in.

"Name's Alec," he said with a lazy wave.

Tattletale scowled at him for a second, obviously annoyed at the interruption, before gathering herself.

"And I'm Lisa," she said, "the only one who's not here is Bitch, but she was dealing with something else."

I filed away all of their names, but I couldn't do anything else because Luffy chose that moment to exclaim at where he was looking.

"Hey, Nami! Why're you hiding?"

I looked at Luffy after that outburst before my attention was grabbed by a shimmering of the air toward the edge of the rooftop. A second later and a woman faded into existence, almost as though there were clouds clearing from where she had been standing.

I felt myself tense up at the new parahuman revealing themselves, but Luffy's joyous expression and what he had said beforehand caught up with me. Obviously this was the Nami that the two of them had learned about from Tattletale, or I supposed I should call her Lisa now.

"Honestly, Luffy, you have no sense of subterfuge! I was going to have a bit of fun before revealing myself," Nami said as she casually twirled a staff that she was holding.

As I got a better look at her, I made sure to push down a pang of jealousy. Nami was an attractive woman who was letting her orange hair flow freely down toward her back. She was wearing a white blouse with hearts toward the top with blue capris, completing her outfit with heeled sandals. However, her warm expression toward Luffy and Robin was something I felt almost uncomfortable in seeing.

"In any case, I had to show these so-called 'thieves' a few pointers. I accidentally appeared in their little hideout and they weren't too happy about that," she continued as her staff broke down and she stored it somewhere.

Here she turned towards the three Undersiders and held up her hand to show that it was filled with three wallets.

"Apparently their situational awareness sucks!" she exclaimed pleasantly.

A second later and she tossed the grumbling teens their wallets back, Lisa seemed especially put out at being pickpocketed. With a flourish she marched over to Luffy and proceeded to engulf him in a bone crushing hug.

"Nice to see you, Luffy, good to know I'm not the only one here," I heard her whisper.

Apparently she wasn't quiet enough, because Lisa perked up at that.

"Right! I don't know how many of your crew are causing all the craziness on PHO, but since last night the city has been pretty busy with rumors," she said.

I had been going to tell them what to call me, but it seemed that that ship had sailed in favor of getting down to other business.

"There's been all sorts of juicy gossip! From a drug den of Merchants all having their backs broken, to some ABB liquor stores being cleaned out, even to some random dine and dashing!" Lisa continued.

Her eyes narrowed as Luffy looked away from her and began trying to whistle once more, while Robin slightly shifted her weight. I also noticed that Nami had slipped the lunch box from Luffy's fingertips as she greeted Robin. That was probably for the best, I had no idea what the guy might do with money, but I had a feeling it wasn't something the other two would approve of.

"Okay, so apparently two of those things were you guys, and the third sounds familiar to you," she said suspiciously.

Luffy stopped trying to divert attention and merely looked proud of himself while the other two only looked amused. Also, if one of those was Robin then I think I now knew why the UNdersiders were all looking at her rather warily. Come to think of it, I had felt myself tense once I realized that she had done something.

However, when I glanced at her, she was only giving me that same small smile.

"I had to get funds and that cell phone from somewhere," she explained without any shame. Right, that was a bit terrifying and I think I need to upgrade Robin on my threat scale. If she could casually stroll into a drug den of Merchants, brutally cripple them and then walk out we might have problems.

"Also I didn't break any of their backs, just twisted them in a way that their nerves were pinched so that they were passed out," she continued with her explanation.

Lisa looked a bit thoughtful at that confession, but it was Alec who responded this time.

"Whatever you say scary lady, just don't hit me with that please," he requested while placing his hands up in surrender.

Lisa rolled her eyes at him, but she turned her attention back to us, while glancing at Nami.

"In any case, we weren't expecting Nami to be in our place once we got back from fleeing Lung. needless to say we might have taken it badly," she paused to grimace, "We tried to fight her, but she was able to kick us around for a bit before randomly offering us advice on how best to steal stuff. Especially from people who are way more dangerous than us. I'd be way more pissed at her if it wasn't so useful."

Judging by how quiet that last part was said I was pretty sure that no one was supposed to hear that. However, Lisa's expression soured when she realized that everyone probably heard her since Nami was showing a smug expression, Robin's smile grew a bit, and Luffy let out his usual laugh. I'm not sure what she got from me, but it was enough to show her that I had also heard.

"All of you suck," she said flatly, "In any case, this should square us up for now. I'd offer for you to join us Bug Girl-"

She was interrupted immediately by Luffy, just like he had against Armsmaster.

"No way, she's gonna join my crew!"

Lisa looked physically pained at being interrupted, but apparently she decided to roll with the punches.

"Like I was going to say, you're already spoken for, might be for the best."

I sighed in consternation at that, apparently Luffy was really, really, determined to have me on his crew.

"Oh, you have no idea," came Lisa's glib response to my unspoken exasperation, causing me to narrow my eyes at her. She merely fluttered her fingers in my direction.

"In any case, we've returned part of your crew, gave some rumors, and paid up. I'd say all debts are accounted for, don't you Brian?"

Brian crossed his arms and gave a complicated look at Lisa, before inclining his head in agreement.

"Everything seems to be good, I think it's time for us to go," he said.

Lisa nodded before looking at me one last time.

"Don't be a stranger, Bug Girl. Message me on PHO if you need anything, you never know when you might need my talents," she said.

I shook my head slightly at the offer. I was going to be a hero. It may be a bit more winding than I had thought it would be, but that didn't mean I was about to quit.

"You're a villain and I'm a hero, next time we meet I'll probably be trying to arrest you," I explained.

Alec let out a snort at that, and Brian also didn't look too convinced. Lisa gazed at me for a moment, oddly serious, before her grin slid back into place.

"I'll hold you to that, Bug Girl. See ya around."

Her piece said she made her way toward a door on the rooftop, and the three teen villains exited by dramatically taking the roof access down. I guess I never really thought about how other people usually had to get up here. I had traveled via air Luffy after all.

Once I was sure they were gone (I had marked them with a couple of bugs), I gave a sigh of relief and pulled off my mask. Nami blinked as I revealed my face, but I had already decided that there was no point in hiding from whoever Luffy found. My experience with Robin and this morning had taught me that he didn't really care about things like secret identities. Might as well get ahead of another blind siding Luffy event.

"Hi, my name's Taylor," I said as I held out a hand toward Nami.

She beamed at me, and I definitely did not let out a squeak as I was suddenly engulfed in an embrace by the woman.

"Oh honey, we'll get you a little less formal in no time! Especially if you're hanging around us!" she exclaimed before letting me go.

I felt my cheeks burning in stunned embarrassment (it had been a long time since I had a hug, not since- nope not thinking of that). I wanted to snap at the woman, but I couldn't really hold it against her. Especially as she had a slight twinkle in her eye as she held up a familiar looking wallet.

"That girl is pretty good at things, but I'm better. How long before she realizes that I gave her a dud, do you think?" she questioned almost teasingly.

I'd say that that tone was a bit uncomfortable, but from Nami it didn't bother me as much as I thought it would. I couldn't help but let out a snort of laughter at her exuberance of robbing a thief. That probably said more about me than I wanted.

"That's better! So on to business!" she exclaimed as she turned toward Robin and Luffy.

"While I dropped in on the Undersiders and caught them by surprise, I was also able to glean some information from Tattletale," she said as she crossed her arms and looked a bit troubled. "I'm not entirely sure how we got here, but I am pretty sure that most of us made it, judging by some of the rumors going on in that PHO she mentioned. I'm sure you realized this Robin, but Luffy can sometimes not realize, we're definitely not in the New World any more."

I blinked as Nami finished and looked over to the other two to see that they didn't look too surprised at what she said. I guess they got into a scuffle with a teleporter or something? If they all ended up somewhere they didn't recognize than that was the only thing that made sense to me.

"I'd noticed while I was in the library, but the history was quite a bit different here than what we're used to," Robin responded.

Luffy nodded fairly seriously himself.

"While I was out and about, the only people I could kind of feel were you guys. If we were still in Wano then I'd at least feel Momo!" he said.

I blinked at the mention of Wano again. I'm pretty sure I had no idea where that could even be, it wasn't really something I have ever heard of before. However, before I could question anything, Nami took out some sort of compass-like device. It looked a bit ridiculous due to it having three needles and the fact that all of the needles were wildly spinning made me think the thing was broken.

"Once I settled down I pulled out the log pose, but this is all I'm getting. I was hoping it was just resetting since we were obviously sent somewhere else, but I think we might have some bigger problems," she said.

I was beginning to feel a bit lost as the three crew members talked as though I wasn't there. I also wasn't sure if I liked the fact that they seemed to randomly be stranded in my city. I had enough to deal with the gangs, although Lung being taken out was probably a net positive at least.

However, before I could interrupt, Robin was already speaking.

"I was able to read quite a bit of history while I was perusing the library. It seems as though everything is fairly well recorded for about 5,000 years," she stated.

I tried to make sense of that seemingly non-sequitur, but if the way Nami was grimacing was any indication, then it at least made sense to her. Thankfully, Luffy looked about as puzzled as I was.

"If that's the case, then we should probably lay low after all. I didn't really want to get in a fight as soon as I showed up, but I can't say that the Undersiders weren't a decent source of information. Thankfully they're pretty small-time from what I gathered. These capes could be dangerous and I don't want to be put on the map too much," Nami speculated.

I winced at that, knowing that the boy who was looking more and more lost had already made a pretty big splash. I hesitatingly interrupted the woman who looked to be getting some steam.

"Um, about that…"

Nami was not happy to learn that Luffy and I had taken down Lung last night. She was very thankful that I had been saved from a horrible fate, but she was also lamenting the fact that he had blown any chance of keeping a low profile out of the water. Once I told her about Armsmaster she just kept on laying into him, complete with a smack on the head that left the straw hatted boy rubbing it in consternation.

"I'm made of rubber, why does that always hurt!?" he complained.

Eventually Nami began winding down, and it was at that point that Robin spoke up.

"If you think only Luffy is unable to keep a low profile then what about Zoro? Or Chopper? Or Franky? Or-"

Nami was getting paler and paler with each name before she interrupted the woman by waving her hands in front of her wildly. She then put her hands to her face and sank down to a crouch, making a keening sound in what looked like dismay to me.

"Well, so much for subtlety, I don't know what I was expecting," she moaned through her palms.

I was not prepared for her to look up at me with pleading eyes.

"Please tell me you have some common sense? Any particular things that make you stand out aside from bugs?" she asked almost desperately.

I blinked at her desperation, but just shrugged in response.

"Nothing that I can think of. I've only had my powers for a bit. I guess I helped Luffy take down Lung, but he's the one that hit him and kept him down," I replied.

Nami let out a sigh of relief at that, even as Robin was chuckling in the background and Luffy was outright laughing.

"Don't worry, Nami, we'll find everybody and then find out where we are! Then it's back to the New World and we'll make our way to Laugh Tale!" he reassured her.

Nami only wore a look of resignation at Luffy's declaration. She exchanged a look with Robin, but the taller woman merely gave a small shake of her head. I wasn't sure what they were communicating with one another, but it seemed to at least let Nami take better stock of herself.

"Well, at least we have some local funds for now. We'll use that to get more, or I'll just have to fleece some of these villains from their cash," she said as if robbing from villains was a walk in the park.

It took a moment for that to register with me, but when it did I decided I needed to object.

"We shouldn't steal from people! I'm going to be a hero!" I exclaimed.

Nami sauntered up to me and patted me on my face with a pitying look. However, she stopped when I involuntarily flinched away from her touch. Thankfully she didn't comment on it and just moved on.

"It's not really stealing if it's from thieves, right?" she asked.

I rolled my eyes at that response, as far as I was concerned stealing was stealing. It wasn't like she was planning to be a modern day Robin Hood with it either. When I tried to explain that to her, she just shrugged and moved on.

"In any case, I guess we have to find the rest of us as fast as possible. I don't like the idea of any of us being alone while we're dropped in a different world," Nami said.

I froze as I heard her casually declare something which I had been pretty sure wasn't possible. I had heard of Haywire of course, but he had never been able to actually get a machine working to cross the dimensional rifts to a different world in person. We just had some trade from Aleph.

"Can you repeat that?" I asked as calmly as I could.

Nami blinked in confusion at me as I started having what I'm pretty sure was some form of panic attack. I shunted some of it off into my bugs and they began to become agitated on the roof around us, buzzing a bit ominously. Finally Nami's expression cleared in understanding as she realized what she had said.

"Ah, I suppose that that's something we'll need to talk about. As far as Robin and I can tell, we're in a different world from the one we were in just a bit ago. There are far too many differences compared to what we know of as fact. Robin's an expert in archaeology and I'm a pretty deft hand at maps if I do say so myself, and nothing I've seen since coming here looks familiar," she explained as if this wasn't something that could drastically upend the status quo.

I was going to answer her question, but Luffy beat me to it in typical fashion as he had been talking to Robin.

"WHAT DO YOU MEAN THERE'S NO ONE PIECE HERE!?"

This one's a bit smaller than the last two, but I still like it. And oh look, a Cat Burglar ran into Brockton's local thieves, I'm sure there's no meaning to that. In any case, thanks for the favs follows and reviews! If you're looking for more engagement from me head over to Spacebattles as that's where the fic is mainly being posted, usually a day earlier than I post on here!

If you're feeling kind leave a fav, follow, or review, they really keep me going!
