Back in Jim's universe, Claire was walking under a bridge and pulled out a Horngazel to get into the new Trollmarket. Claire was a bit concerned about Jim. She had tried calling him a few times on his cellphone, but the calls weren't going through and she had tried using a find your friends app, but that turned up nothing as well. Either Jim's phone had been destroyed or he had somehow vanished from the face of the Earth. Claire had done a quick internet search to see if any websites had reported any strange creatures had been spotted or captured in New Jersey to see if there were any leads on Jim. There were none.

So now Claire was searching around Trollmarket and asking the locals if any of them had seen Jim. Some trolls had told Claire that they saw Jim go off to explore the tunnels, but he hadn't come back. Claire wondered if Jim had been attacked by some new threat, they were still new to these parts, so there could be hidden threat lurking about. She was also concerned about Jim's mental and emotional state. Ever since the battle with Morgana, Claire had sensed that Jim was depressed and stressed out. Jim had sacrificed both his humanity and any chance of a normal life to save the world and though he didn't regret it since he saved everyone the aftermath was starting to really take it's toll.

Jim was now half-troll, he could no longer go out into the sun, he couldn't remove his armor, he could no longer enjoy normal human food, and he now had longevity, which at first sounded cool, but Jim would be a teenager for a very long time and he would most likely outlive all his human friends and family. It would also be hard for Claire and Jim to have a life together. Jim had tried to be optimistic about the situation and find new hobbies and tasks to occupy his time, but Claire could see Jim wasn't doing ok as he said he was.

Claire had asked Merlin to turn Jim back, but the wizard said he couldn't and that his current form was permanent.

Claire's search was turning up nothing and for just a moment she feared that Jim had taken his own life, but quickly shook that thought from her mind. Jim wouldn't do that! He was strong and brave and Claire and all of Jim's friends had made it clear that if there was something bothering him, that he needed to talk to them about it and that they were there for him.

Claire was determined to find Jim and using the info from the trolls about Jim's last sighting and the previous locations from the find my friends app, she headed down the tunnel Jim had previously traveled down.

To be continued.
