Notes: This is my first time writing anything including a battle scene. So I tried writing it from others perspective. If it is not good, please inform me. There may be a timeline problem with the events that are happening. Please ignore it. Hope you enjoy this chapter.

Chapter 5

Isolation

Among the Ironborn people who followed Euron Greyjoy, some were promised wealth and land, and some others were promised freedom to rape and reave in any land they wanted. They will not be questioned or punished for it. After the terms they asked were accepted, who were they to disobey Euron's orders? Anyway, Euron is going to be king. He is going to rule the seven kingdoms. For the first time in history, an Ironborn is going to be a king of seven kingdoms. Then who are they to defy him and go after that Yara bitch who lusts after women? They are not idiots. That's why they follow Euron, and that's why they are on the way to capture the Dorne bastards who did something to the mad woman who calls herself queen, and that's why they are here to capture the Yara bitch and her cockless idiot brother Theon.

But they were not told what they were getting into. They were only told that they were going to fight an eunuch army and some foreign hordes who were afraid of the sea. They were not told that they would be going up against a woman who commands dragons. They were not told they were going up against a Targaryen woman with a dragon just like Balerion the dread. They needed to be alive in order to enjoy the land and the wealth Euron promised. They need to be alive so that they can reave any land they want.

They thought it was a crow at first, but as it came nearer to the armada they had gathered to catch the enemies, they were sure that it was not a crow. It was a fucking dragon. It seemed like Euron was prepared for that at the beginning because he started to fire the big bolts that he ordered to attach to the ship two weeks before. But that was a fucking dragon he was trying to shoot at, and it was fast as fucking hell. All they could do was scream and cry in terror, or jump into the water in the hope of escaping the fire unleashed by the beast. The bolts that Euron was trying to fire at the dragon were running out, but he did not land a single bolt on them or at the woman that was sitting on it.

If only they knew that the Yara bitch had an alliance with a Targaryen who had dragons, they would not have followed Euron. That woman burnt everything that she set her eyes on. Everybody knows that the ship "The Silence" was a formidable ship and would run away at the sight of it, but she burnt it to pieces along with the people in it. But they were sure Euron would have escaped somehow. He definitely would have jumped into the water before she burned him.

She burnt everything, and they were stranded in the middle of the sea with no one to save them. They saw her leave on the dragon. All they could do now is swim back to the wretched king's landing and try to escape back to the Iron Islands and grovel to that bitch Yara. They also followed Euron because they did not want to bow to a woman, but now they have to grovel at her feet to let them live. What had their lives come to? That's what they thought. But the dragon whore's people were stationed on every land nearby to capture all those who escaped. She already knew we were coming. How could they possibly think they could beat her? Why did that stupid Euron Greyjoy not ally with the dragon whore? Now they are all going to die.

Daenerys

Daenerys heard their screams of terror and thought them music. She did not care that she had just destroyed a whole fleet of ships that they could use. Yara can just build new ships if she wants. She was finally relieved that the Euron Greyjoy problem was over. She knew that even if he escaped, Grey Worm would bring him to Dragonstone after capturing him from the sea. She really hoped that he was dead. But, even if he is not dead, she will kill him when he is brought before her.

She came back to Dragonstone when the dawn was starting to break in. She will get some rest before the chaos starts in the morning. She will receive prisoners and guests alike today, and she needs to be well rested before that.

Her unsullied from Highgarden will come back with Ser Jaime and the Tarlys. Lady Olenna's men will come back with the Maester or at least some sort of news about him. The Ironborn she sent to capture Euron Greyjoy will also arrive today. If she is right, the red priestess will also come today to tell her to invite the king in the north and treat with him. She really needs to be well rested in order to get through this day. By the afternoon, Cersei will be isolated just like she was isolated in her vision. If the Maester is alive when he is brought here, she will burn him right in front of Cersei. Frankly, Daenerys didn't think Cersei would care. She will burn Euron Greyjoy in front of Cersei too. She has other plans for the monstrosity she calls her guard. He was the one who killed her niece and nephew. She involuntarily winced when she thought of a living nephew she has now. She was trying really hard to ignore any thoughts of Jon.

Both Tyrion and Missandei were waiting for her in front of her chambers. After seeing her unharmed, both of them let out a sigh of relief, and she felt the warmth spread all over her again. Daenerys informed them of the situation and told them to get some rest too, as they would be receiving a lot of people tomorrow. They both nodded and went back to their respective chambers, and Daenerys went to rest and calm her mind as well.

That morning, when Daenerys was breaking fast with Missandei and Lady Olenna, she was informed of the arrival of Grey Worm and Euron Greyjoy. She told them to take him to the throne room and wait for her. She was wearing her house colors, a black and red gown with a cape attached to her neck through a dragon pin. She also wore her dragon necklace. She was a Targaryen through and through.

Daenerys abandoned her usual throne posture and sat on the throne with a slanting posture, a hand on her cheek, and legs crossed. She was looking at Euron Greyjoy smugly. She could sense the confusion and a little bewilderment coming from the other inhabitants of the throne room. She did not care. She was really happy that Euron Greyjoy was in front of her on his knees and that all her dragons were still alive. She was just happy that her allies were still here and not harmed.

Daenerys was waiting for Euron Greyjoy to open his arrogant mouth.

"If I knew before that you would be this beautiful, I would have offered my ships and my cock to you first." Daenerys did not answer him. She just looked at him with a smirk firmly in its place. But Euron Greyjoy was not deterred.

"What do you say? I can always abandon that bitch on the iron throne and come to you. You will gain an ally and a man who has a cock and not a dwarf. " Again, Daenerys did not answer. Her smirk only widened. The others seemed shocked that she did not respond to the insult. but they did not intervene. She can see Tyrion dying to insult Euron back. Lady Olenna and Ellaria Sand were just looking at her curiously. Missandei looked offended. Grey Worm was grabbing his dagger tightly so as not to slit Euron's throat with it.

"I will give you a choice. Do you want to die in the hands of mine or your niece? Choose well" Daenerys asked after some time.

"You won't kill me. You need me. That's why you kept me alive. You could have burned me then and there, but you didn't. What can Yara give you that I can't? Yara can't marry you, neither can that idiot Theon. So why not take me as your king? "

"Brōzagon Qhono kesīr, Turgon Nudha" Call Qhono here, Grey Worm.

Grey Worm forced Euron Greyjoy to his knees and went to call for Qhono.

"I warned you to choose well. What did you expect? I am going to agree with you just like Cersei did. Cersei needed allies, so she accepted you. I have two of the greatest armies and three dragons. I don't need you, Euron Greyjoy. I left you alive so that I could kill you slowly and painfully. I am going to make an example out of you so that nobody else will try to hurt my dragons anymore. The world will know what will happen to it if they lay a hand on my children. You should think of it as an honour that the privilege went to you. "

Euron Greyjoy was more mad and insane than she thought. He said, " I definitely should have come to you before. You have a cruel streak in you. We really are a good match, "and then he started laughing.

Qhono came into the throne room, "fin tat zalat anna ha khaleesi?" What do you want me for, my queen?

"Qhono, anha zala tat hear mae laqikh akka beg ha athdrivar. tat fin hash zalat ma mae. tat vo efichisalat Yara tat tihat ale" Qhono, I want to hear him cry and beg for death. do whatever you want with him. Allow Yara to see too.

"sek, Khaleesi" Qhono dragged Euron away to deal with him. There was no need for her to see him in the throne room. That man is insane. She wanted to applaud Cersei on that matter. She used him for a long time in her vision.

After he was dragged away, Tyrion asked, "What did you say, your grace?"

"I told Qhono to make him cry and beg for death." she told him absentmindedly and then later reminded of who she was talking to. He is going to think that she is becoming her father slowly. She was cruel. She can justify that he killed Rhaegal only to herself, not to the others. But when she looked at Tyrion, he did not look disgusted. He did not advise her that she had not come here to be the queen of ashes. Tyrion looked like he approved and that she did the right thing. Maybe she is finally going crazy.

She looked at the others and found the same kind of reaction in their faces too. Maybe Euron Greyjoy did insult her that much. Maybe she is not the only one who is thinking that. She had heard more insults and slurs from the Dothraki before. What Euron Greyjoy said to her was nothing compared to what she heard in her early days with the Dothraki or the slave masters.

All that was left for her to deal with was the Maester and the Highgarden party before attacking King's Landing. The Ironborn who followed Euron Greyjoy are kept as prisoners, and she will let Yara deal with them.

"Lady Olenna, anything about the maester?" Daenerys asked after some quiet contemplation.

"Yes, your grace. He was caught and kidnapped when he was dealing with the little birds that Lord Varys mentioned. I have a secret network of men all over King's Landing. I had to set it up when Margery, my granddaughter, was to wed the little monster Joffrey. All offence meant, Lord Tyrion, "said Lady Olenna. Daenerys always liked this attitude of Lady Olenna. Daenerys nodded her thanks to Lady Olenna. Tyrion only nodded.

But Lady Olenna has a secret network in King's Landing. Why did she not know about that in her vision? Why did Lady Olenna not tell her? Maybe Daenerys relied too much on Varys' information. She did ignore any other advice her allies had given her in her vision. She only believed in Tyrion and Varys and paid for it.

"If I may, your grace, can I ask you something?" asked Lady Olenna.

"Please, go ahead."

"Why do you want the maester? You can just kill him when you take over King's Landing. "

"I am worried about the wildfire catches in the underground, lady Olenna. That maester knows where they are and how to ignite them. I don't want Cersei to burn innocent people when I invade King's Landing. She will do anything if that means she can have more power. All she has to do is light the wildfire and blame it on me and my dragons. I will truly become the mad king's daughter. I don't want that. " Truthfully, she only wanted the maester to produce more wildfire to deal with the wights and try it on the night king. He was immune to dragon fire just like she is, but who knows with artificial fire? If she tells them that she wants the maester to produce more wildfire, they will definitely think that she is becoming mad and is planning to burn the people just like her father.

"When did you think of all of this, your grace?" asked Tyrion with a little awe in his voice, and Daenerys just smiled at him. Lady Olenna nodded at her.

Grey Worm entered the throne room and announced the arrival of prisoners from Highgarden and Yara. Daenerys told him to inform Yara about Euron Greyjoy and escort the prisoners to the throne room. Then she asked Missandei to check the Unsullied and provide them with food and medicine.

The prisoners were escorted into the throne room. This time the party contained Ser Jaime too, just as she expected. She saw Tyrion looking concerned at his brother. But she promised Tyrion that she would let Ser Jaime live, and she would honour that promise. The Tarlys were there too. This time there were a lot more soldiers.

Daenerys was announced.

Daenerys didn't want to waste time like she had with Euron Greyjoy. So she came straight to the point.

"Ser Jaime Lannister, I promised your brother that I would spare your life. So I am not going to ask you anything. I already know that you would choose your sister and will not bend the knee to me. I will let you speak with your brother. You will be a prisoner here and will be allowed to only talk to your brother. You will be provided food. That is all I can offer. " She turned and addressed Tyrion, "Lord Tyrion, your brother is your responsibility. Don't let him escape. I am warning you. "

"Yes, your grace." His voice was full of emotions when he said that.

"Do I not have a say in whether or not I talk to my brother?" Jaime Lannister asked.

Daenerys heard Tyrion whisper his brother's name in shock and hurt.

But Daenerys went on, "I don't care whether you want to talk to your brother or not. I don't care if he killed your father or not. And I don't care about what you think. You are my prisoner, and you are alive now only because of your brother. Consider this his repayment for helping him escape from King's Landing. You killed my father, Ser Jaime. I won't hold that against you, because my father deserved it. But you did not protect my niece and nephew like you were supposed to, from Robert Baratheon and your father, who ordered his guard to kill them. You did not save your king's son and daughter like you were supposed to. There are plenty of reasons for me to execute you. But I am not doing that because of your brother. Keep that in mind. Hate him all you want for betraying his family, but also know that the Lannisters were never much of a family to him. "

Ser Jaime looked stunned. She did not know why, because she said her father deserved to die, or that she defended his brother from him. Tyrion looked speechless again. She is making him speechless a lot these days. She moved on, not waiting to hear Ser Jaime's answer.

"Lady Olenna, I thought House Tarly was your bannermen. If you want to deal with this situation, please do so," said Daenerys. She did not want to judge the Tarlys. She did not want to punish the family of someone who would save her loyal bear, Jorah. They did betray their lord, but if the lord is there to pass the sentence, then why does she need to get involved?

"No, my dear. I have no problem with you punishing them. Please do what you want. You are my queen. " It seems like she is going to judge them after all.

"Very well then. Lord Tarly, what do you do with oath breakers in Westeros?"

Randyll Tarly just stared at her without answering her. Tyrion started to say something, but she interrupted him before that.

"Since you are not answering, I can see that you are aware that you broke your oath to your liege lord and besmirched both your and your liege lord's honor. Will you accept the sentence if I was the one to pass it?"

"No. You are a foreign queen who has no claim to the throne and has foreign armies. You are not my queen. I won't bend the knee to you. I won't accept any sentence that you are going to pass."

Daenerys scoffed and said, "Who said anything about the claim? I am not here to claim anything. I am here to conquer it just like Aegon Targaryen did. I don't care about your opinion. You can call me a foreign whore for all I care. But let me ask you a question. Now that Cersei does not have an army, what do you think she is going to do? Train the people in King's Landing to go to war? Or buy foreign armies who are going to come from Essos, just like me? "

Randyll Tarly stood there with his eyes wide, looking at her. He looked shocked, maybe because she said she did not care if he called her a foreign whore. There is not a chance that he is shocked because he just realised that Cersei would also use a foreign army if it suited her purpose. Now that she thinks about that, she should contact the Iron Bank and warn them.

"You are not going to answer that either, Lord Tarly? I will only give you two choices. I am going to be the queen anyway. Cersei does not stand a chance against me. Either bend the knee and keep your title, your home, your status, or stand against me and lose everything. Don't think I am going to kill you. I won't. After taking over the capital, I will expose you as an oath breaker and then strip your titles and lands in front of every lord in Westeros. Your family won't be remembered for its honor. It will only be remembered for its oath breaking. Choose wisely. "

She heard from Jon about how and why his friend Samwell Tarly was sent to the night's watch and knew that Randyll Tarly valued the honour of his family more than anything, even more than his son. That's why he chose to die rather than bend the knee to her in her vision. She was well aware that he had no choice but to kneel to her now.

She waited patiently for his answer. Tyrion looked impressed now, but he clearly was distracted. Daenerys thought that he looked quite troubled too. Thinking about his brother, no question. Lady Olenna only smiled at her, but Daenerys got the idea that she was not happy that she did not kill the traitor. Daenerys can do nothing about it.

Just as she expected, Randyll Tayly bent his knee, followed by his son and the other soldiers he commanded.

"Wise choice, lord Tarly. I am warning you beforehand since you have become one of my people. The Dothraki and the Unsullied are not some uneducated idiots and barbarians, so don't insult them. They are my people, just like you are. Don't even try to betray me. I may even forgive you for other crimes against me, but betrayal is one thing I won't tolerate. Do you understand? "

"Yes, your grace," Randyll Tarly said, looking stricken now.

"You might also want to earn forgiveness from Lady Olenna for your betrayal. After all, she is your liege lord. And one more thing, I know you bent the knee, but I can't offer you a good chamber to rest for now. You need to rest, along with your soldiers, for some more time. Sure spear will take you there. You are dismissed. "

"Yes, your grace." Tarlys and the soldiers were escorted to the place where they would stay.

It was noon when she was done with the job, and she wanted to rest. She called Grey Worm and told him to imprison the Maester that Lady Olenna's men would bring, to a safe place and that she needed him alive. She is not ready to deal with any other prisoner or enemy today. She also asked Grey Worm to get plenty of rest and prepare the Unsullied to march to King's Landing tomorrow. Grey Worm obeyed her without question.

She called Qhono again and told him to get ready too. She also told him that they were going to sack the city and that she would not tolerate any kind of crime against innocent people while they were doing so. Qhono readily agreed and went to prepare the Dothraki for their favourite activity.

She had her lunch in her chambers and went to rest for a while.

When she woke up in the evening, she received the news that the maester was imprisoned just like she asked and that preparations were underway for the march. Daenerys made sure everything was okay and called a meeting to discuss tomorrow's battle.

She saw Tyrion sitting in the map room in the corner again and wanted to ask him about how things were going with his brother. But she stopped herself from doing that. Tyrion will tell her if he wants. The room slowly filled with people. Missandei, Grey Worm, Qhono, Lady Olenna, Lady Ellaria, and lastly, Yara.

Yara mentioned her thanks for dealing with her uncle, and she was more than satisfied with the treatment that Euron Greyjoy was getting here. Qhono said that it was difficult to get Euron to scream at first, but they managed to get him to beg for death after some time. He was beaming with pride, and Daenerys couldn't help but laugh. She told him not to get carried away and that he wouldn't be given a chance like that anymore. This made Qhono sad, making Daenerys laugh again.

"Enough with that and let's start the meeting. Half of the Unsullied will stay here to watch the prisoners, and the other half will come with me to King's Landing. The same goes for the Dothraki too. Qhono will pick the best warriors he has. There will be no stealing, no raping when we get into the city. Civilians must be protected at all costs. There is a chance that the Lannister army might hurt the innocents, and I want you all to protect them. Try your best not to kill the soldiers and only wound them enough so that they can't kill you. I will blast the gates open with Drogon and you will enter the city through them. Grey Worm, I need you to evacuate the civilians near the red keep. I might blow up the building altogether, and I don't want any innocents to get hurt. Understood? Ask me if there are any other questions. "

Missandei translated everything she just said to Qhono, and he nodded. Nobody had any questions. She also did not want the soldiers to be killed because she wanted more men on her side when they needed to go against the night king. She had already won two battles after coming here, and her army was the same as ever.

"If there are no objections, then you can go and prepare for the battle."

Grey Worm and Qhono went to prepare the army. Lady Olenna and Lady Ellaria retired, and Yara said she was going to find her brother and left. Tyrion looked like he was lost in thoughts.

Daenerys also has a lot to think about. What is she going to do after she takes King's Landing? She knew that Jon would come and ask her for her help against the Night King. She has to help him. Else Winterfell will fall and the night king will come for her with far more numbers than he already has. When she becomes queen, she will be able to offer a lot more army than she already has. She should start mining the dragon glass. She has a lot of work to do.

She called Tyrion who was sitting in the corner, thinking about something.

"Lord Tyrion, I want you to contact the Iron Bank and request them to send an envoy to Dragonstone. And also, I want you to find some men and start mining the dragon glass here in Dragonstone. "

"Mine Dragon glass? What is that for, your grace?"

" I read a book about Dragonstone and found that this island is abundant with dragon glass. I want to make weapons out of it for our army."

Tyrion looked suspiciously at her but obeyed her command.

"And the Iron Bank?"

"Do you really want to know? It concerns your sister. "

"I can see what you are planning. I will contact the Iron Bank, your grace. I also wanted to thank you for defending me in front of my brother. Thank you, your grace."

"I did not do much, Lord Tyrion. I just told your brother the truth. " Tyrion nodded his thanks again and left to do his work.

She will think about how to deal with Jon and the north after she takes King's Landing.

Notes: How was the battle scene at the beginning? I don't know the book Euron and I never paid attention to how he talks in the show. So this is my rendition of Euron Greyjoy. Daenerys may look and feel out of character in this fic, but that is how I want Daenerys to be portrayed. Hope you like that. Constructive criticisms are welcome. Thank you for reading.
