In which Percy's dreams strike again- and you guys are gonna realise pretty soon just how different it will be lol. But in Percy's defence, ADHD can make your brain forget stuff that isn't like, right in front of you.

Undeath9087: Yep, it's gonna be fun when all that comes to a head.
Noir Nyan: No one seems to have expected it. And yes they do but they'd probably already be inside. And as for your hint- Percy is not the one in the infirmary when she and Annabeth meet properly. And you're right it won't be answered quite yet.
Thickneck: Oh I know. I thought that line would be funny.
rage2091: Annabeth when Silena comes rushing into the building gushing about meeting Percy Kane 'I wanna go' and Chiron just there like 'I am not letting you run off to meet some actress you like Annabeth. We must go upstairs.'
Drizzle: Don't worry, even if I do redeem him he will be given a very hard time.
Guest: I can't say because of spoilers but uh you're getting very hot there. Also- the books only very loosely hint at other pantheons, so no ones put two and two together yet and shown Chiron. That may change in time.
Guest: Yep!
Guest2.0: I don't think he does, Chiron knows a lot of stuff but he doesn't know everything I think. And Annabeth already went inside or she would have.
Guest: Well you shall have to see what happens.
MKDemiGodzilla-Warrior: Hahahaqhahahahah. You will understand why I laugh soon.
Ryan Fowler: Eh, not the Furies, but Cerberus, now that is something she'd be excited by. Just picture it, Hades waiting for his guest and then like 'What is taking so long' and finding this strange girl clambering all over his guard dog, who is letting her.
Guest: Yes, but she's already inside of the building.
Percy was dreaming.
She knew she was dreaming- she was good at telling the difference between dreams and the waking world.
She was- in a cave or something, Percy wasn't sure- there were fissures in the ground- and Percy could smell- smell something strange and cloying drifting up from them.
But the most noticeable thing there was the lady- a priestess of some kind- clad in Grecian robes, sat on a tripod- and there was a swirling green mist around her feet, around Percy's feet too- it made Percy's chest go tight with anxiety and she resisted the urge to back away from the woman- who was staring right at her with glowing green eyes.
And that was the point at which she realised she was dressed up too- when she looked down at herself she realised she was wearing a long flowing white chiton, with a golden belt and fine golden jewellery all over- the outfit kind of reminded her of what an ancient Greek princess would wear. Which- was very very strange. Percy wasn't sure what she thought about that outfit. But it really wasn't a priority right now was it?
"What the- where the heck am I?" Percy muttered the words, "Who are you-"
"I am the Oracle of Delphi-" and oh, okay, okay that wasn't at all creepy- when the woman spoke she seemed to spew green smoke. "The child of two worlds has come, vessel of chaos, the hope for the future."
"Uh-" Percy blinked rapidly, "I dunno about all that- I'm really nothing spec-"
"Run child run-" the Oracle spoke again, "The world depends on it-"
"What the heck does that even mean-"
"You must stop the boy. The boy with the bag. He cannot be allowed to escape-"
"Escape I don't-"
"You must take the bag- you must child. Stop him and take the bag from him. Hide it." and Percy was shooting away, tumbling out of her bed.
And whatever the Oracle had been about to say, Percy would probably never know.
She groaned, face pressed against the floor before she pushed herself up, turning her head when she heard shifting and then- "Percy. Do I want to know?"
"Probably not." Percy ran her fingers through her hair, pushing it out of her face, "I just had the weirdest dream." she had a tight feeling in her gut. It hadn't just been a dream she was sure of that. But she didn't have the slightest clue what it might actually mean.
"A dream?" and Piper was swinging her legs off the bed, leaning forward, "What happened?"
"I think- I think I was in- in Greece." Percy said slowly, her brows furrowing, "I- I spoke to the Oracle of Delphi."
"Woah." Piper's back straightened, "Okay. You've told me about your dreams before that sounds like- really important. What did it say-"
"It wasn't a prophecy- or at least I don't think it was." Percy said carefully, crossing her legs and absentmindedly playing with her hair. "It was like a warning. She told me I have to stop someone- some boy with a bag- that I have to take the bag."
"That- that sounds important." Piper said slowly, "Did she tell you anything else?"
"Nope." Percy shook her head, "Other than I needed to run and the world depends on it." she pulled a face, poking her tongue out, "I mean seriously? Why does the world always depend on me." she dragged herself to her feet, moving to stare out of her window across the river to Manhattan. "She didn't even tell me where I needed to go." but- Percy could feel something almost pulling her towards the city- a tugging sensation in her belly. And she did generally trust her gut instincts.
"Well then." Piper's voice came from behind Percy, "Are we bothering getting changed or do you just want to go out as we are?"
And Percy turned her head, shooting her best friend a wry smile as she tucked her hair behind her ear, "It's pretty cold out there. We should at least put our coats on." and she really did love her best friend- that lack of hesitation meant the world to Percy.
Piper trusted Percy's instincts, there wasn't even a second where she considered telling Percy not to do it, snatching her a hoodie from where it was hanging up and tossing Piper's to her before she grabbed the other girls hand as they slipped out of her room, glancing at her watch, "It's 11:30." she said after a moment, "Honestly, you'd think whatever's going on could have waited until the morning."
"Ah yeah, we'll be sure to tell whoever you have to stop that he's a terrible person for interrupting your beauty sleep." Piper snickered.
"Hey, beauty sleep is very important for actresses-"
"Oh come on." Piper let out a laugh, "You stayed up until three in the morning last week on a school day because, and I quote "I spent two hours setting up those spells I am not losing the chance to see Sadie turned bright pink and get a bucket of glitter tipped on her head."
"Woah there- that's not my fault-" Piper raised an eyebrow before Percy added, "It's Sadie's fault for coming home late from that party."
"What did she even do to deserve that?" Piper's laughter was incredulous and Percy pulled a face.
"She was making out with Walt when I walked into the kitchen. That should be illegal- they were all gross Piper- she's my big sister I do not need to see that crap- and she laughed! Poor little 'Telle and 'Lex nearly got an eye full too. I had to cover their poor little innocent eyes."
"They're two." Piper laughed, "They wouldn't have even known what it was if they had seen it." as they spoke they headed towards the stairs, padding down them quickly- not that it was a big deal- they didn't have to be quiet or anything, there were always people awake in Brooklyn House- and Percy grinned slightly when Julian leaned over the back of the couch.
"Hey movie star- everything okay?"
"Everything's fine." She rolled her eyes, a smile playing across her lips as, "Piper and I are just slipping out to get some air."
"Uh huh." Julian laughed, "Should I alert the others that you're going to cause chaos of some kind?"
"Rude." Percy poked her tongue out as she snatched up her shoes from where she'd kicked them off when they came in, tugging them on quickly, "I am not going to cause chaos."
"Percy, kid-"
"You are literally only three years older than me." Percy gave him a mock death glare.
"I'm just saying, you're the living embodiment of chaos- quite literally."
"Details details." Percy waved a hand dismissively as she pulled her hoodie on quickly, "Listen if you must know I forgot to pick some stuff up earlier and since we're going to Egypt tomorrow I don't exactly have much time to get it and the place that sells what I need is open twenty four hours."
"Fair enough then." Julian grinned, "I won't go waking up Carter and telling him you're sneaking out."
"Oh come on." Piper snickered, "You wouldn't do that anyway- Percy scares the crap into you-"
And Percy almost preened as the Julian nodded, looking completely unashamed.
"Well duh- you're the girl who pinned down Apophis at ten years old, I'm be stupid not to be scared of you."
"Well that is true-"
Piper laughed at that, wrapping an arm around Percy's shoulder, and together they headed out of the building, making their way down the metal steps- they did have to be careful- it was cold and the steps could get icy at times.
And it didn't take them too long to cross the bridge to Manhattan, walking hand in hand, Percy trying to follow her instincts as they navigated through the dark streets- Percy made sure to tug her hood up, tucking her hair into it as shoving her free hand into her pocket as they walked.
And no one seemed to question them- a fact that Percy was rather grateful for as they kept walking.
"So." Piper said after a long moment as they walked, "Where are we even going?"
"I-" Percy paused, "Do not know." she admitted, "But-I mean... we know that the Oracle of Delphi is Greek- and we know where home base is for the Greeks so maybe if we head that way." she said after a moment of thought. "What do you think?"
"I think that it's probably our best plan." Piper said after a moment- and so that was where the two girls headed.
Percy wasn't sure how long it took them but soon they were approaching the Empire State building.
Then it happened- it was Percy who spotted him- a tall figure, wearing a hoodie much like she and Piper were, clutching a backpack tightly as he ran towards them- away from the building.
Unfortunately he was moving very fast, glancing back over his shoulder- which meant he wasn't looking ahead-and while Percy managed to push Piper out of the way the guy barrelled into her- and they both went sprawling, Percy let out a pained yelp as his elbow dug rather painfully into her ribs.
"Hey!" She yelped the word, shoving him hard as he rolled off her, "Watch where you're going-"
"Percy!" Piper's voice was panicked, "The bag-" and Percy's eyes widened at Piper's words- and-and Piper was right, she could feel it in her gut- the boy was scrambling to his feet.
His hood had fallen down.
He was a fairly handsome guy- late teens if Percy was any judge, maybe a couple of years older than Carter.
He had messy blonde hair and a scar from the bottom of his left eye to his chin.
He was lunging for his bag at Piper's cry, and Percy moved quickly, lunging for it and gripping one of the straps even as the boy grabbed the other, and he met her gaze, snarling, "Let go-"
"How about no." Percy tightened her grip on the strap, not letting go even as she rose to her feet.
"You have no idea what you're messing with." And oh but that was a sure way to piss Percy off- and she ducked when he lashed out with his free hand, and Piper let out an angry growl at that, charging at the boy- forcing him to let go of the bag as she knocked him to the ground again.
Percy staggered back at the sudden release, tightening her grip on the bag, rushing forward and catching Piper's hand, hauling her to her feet as Piper cried out; "RUN!" and they did.
Percy glanced back over her shoulder, wincing when she saw that the boy was chasing them.
Sure the chances were she could take the guy in a fight but it was always better to avoid fighting if she could- which was something she'd reluctantly accepted- especially since she didn't know who the guy was- if he was Greek it would be better to avoid using magic in front of him for now. She didn't want to tip her hand too soon, they had an advantage for now.
Annoyingly enough the guy behind them was pretty fast- but Percy and Piper were pretty fit too- and Percy knew the streets of the city well- ducking into alleys, doubling back and around- though they never seemed to lose the guy sprinting after them for long.
After what felt like a lifetime Percy spotted a familiar building and she came up with a plan- in her opinion it was a very good plan.
"The Museum-"
"It's shut-"
"We can break in." Percy said quickly- and thankfully they'd managed to put some distance between themselves and the boy chasing them- so Percy used her magic, unlocking the doors and disarming the alarms quickly before they rushed inside, Percy towing Piper towards the Egyptian section.
She didn't stop- didn't let herself relax until they were tumbling out of a portal onto the roof of Brooklyn House. And Percy let herself flop down onto the roof- panting and shaking as she clutched the bag tightly- whilst Piper hunched over, clutching her knees as she fought for breath.
Well. That had been... interesting, to say the least.
