I love this chapter because it is just pure fucking joy- honestly Percy and Piper being besties is amazing and I will fight for it. Also- Percy 100% does all her own stunts in the movies- just look at the crazy shit she does in this chapter.

Thickneck: I think everyone would have heart attacks.
Undeath9087: I'm looking forward to people's reactions over what I do.
Ryan Fowler: If Percy even realised what she had that is!
Guest: Percy when they're demanding to know why she didn't bring them back immediately 'It's actually you guys fault that I didn't, I didn't ask to have ADHD and forget about the bag! So really, blame yourselves for my ADHD.'
Drizzle: Both.
Guest: when I said no prophecy I meant no prophecy from the first book- so there's no 'you shall go west' prophecy.
Guest: Eh, painfully on a more personal scale.
MKDemiGodzilla-Warrior: Nope, Percy has both.
Noir Nyan: Hehehehe. Just wait and see- and remember Percy has a fondness for Underworld gods so that'll play into how things go down.
Guest: Percy was distracted okay! And yeah, Luke just there like 'Uh, they were maybe twelve-"
Kronos- "You let some little girls steal from you?!'
Guest: That would be funny.
PJ Fan 285: They could make some for Piper but the girls don't think it's that necessary at the moment.
Guest: I mean, I get your point- and it could be interesting.
Brendiboi633: why thank you, and uh- actually no. You are not right.

Time passed, and Percy got on with her life- with school and her work- and that was one of the good thing about the Brooklyn Academy for the Gifted- because she was working they were pretty flexible- they didn't mind too much if she missed some of her schooling as long as she kept on top if it- and Piper spent half of her time on set with Percy.

And she had to admit- the movie was pretty good too- or at least she was pretty sure it would be- and most importantly it was fun.

The only thing casting any clouds on Percy's mood was the weather- which had been getting progressively worse of the months. Storms were raging all across America- and hurricanes too. It was very concerning to say the least.

Percy had asked her dad if there was anything going on with the gods that might be causing the issues but he'd said that there was nothing amongst the Egyptains-and he'd pointed out that this type of weather was more the style of the Greeks.

That did worry Percy- but- there wasn't anything she could actually do about it, and it wasn't as if it was anything to do with her.

So she got on with life as best as she could- which was why she was in her room with Piper.

Piper was led on her bed, whilst Percy was led half on the floor, her legs propped against the wall as she scowled up at the book in her hands, "I can't believe they're actually insisting the we do work over our summer- can you believe that Piper- like- how dare they ask that of me?"

"Percy they literally assigned your moms book you've already read it- hell you've already lived through it-"

"It's still rude!" Percy raised the book- and sure enough a second later a pillow hit it-if she hadn't moved the book it would have it her face, and Percy lifted her head. "You're rude too, y'know that Pipes?"

"Uh huh." Piper laughed, "You know you won't have to read it and you'll still ace the test because you know that book better than anyone else in our class. I dunno why you're complaining."

"It's the principal Piper! The principal! Summers supposed to be for messing around with friends- for holidays for-"

"For prank wars with your siblings?"

"Precisely Piper! See, see you know what I'm talking about." Percy gestured wildly.

"But you can't have prank wars with your siblings for at least a week." Piper said with a laugh, "Or have you forgotten? Carter's visiting Amos for a week- because Amos wants him to learn more about the day to day running of the House of Life or whatever-"

"Booooring."

"And Sadie's visiting her grandparents in London for a week."

"Ughhh, also boring." Percy pouted- but Piper was right. Both of her big siblings would be away for a week, no matter how boring their reasons for being away were that didn't change the fact that they would be away.

And Estelle and Alexander were far too little to join in with her pranks. "Maybe I could recruit Julian and Felix-"

"Julian is visiting his family and Felix is visiting Antartica. Again." Piper reminded Percy. "And before you even mention Shelby she's spending a few weeks with her family-"

"No!" Percy fake gasped the word, "The betrayal- even my favorite little buddy won't be here."

"It's probably a good thing." Piper laughed, "The last time you two worked together you destroyed the training room. I thought that Carter was about to cry."

"Oh come on!" Percy laughed, "It's not my fault if he's weak Piper."

This time she didn't manage to dodge the pillow thrown at her head- she mock gasped, flipping herself- because why be boring and just climb to her feet- to her feet, her eyes narrowing on her friend, "You did not-"

"Uh oh." Piper's eyes went wide and she held up her hands, "I surren-"

"Too late." Percy was lunging, snatching a pillow off her bed and swinging it at Piper's head- and Piper shrieked, ducking, just avoiding the pillow by an inch, and then she was rolling off the other side of the bed as Percy leapt onto it- scrambling across it after Piper- who was trying not to laugh as she rushed for the door and yanked it open, sprinting out into the hall.

Percy sped after her, laughing loudly as she watched Piper launching herself down the railings of the stairs, sliding down them.

Percy rushed after her, leaping onto them, and her balance really was very good- and she was glad she was wearing fluffy socks because they made it easy for her to glide down the stairs- and Piper shrieked as she saw Percy speeding after her, balancing and crouched slightly.

"How the heck are you doing that?" the other girl yelped the words, toppling off the railing as she reached the bottom.

Percy just cackled. "I'm just that freaking good."

And then Piper's expression turned panicked and she whirled around, scrambling away from Percy, who launched herself off the railing, hitting the ground and rolling forward and up onto her feet, sprinting after Piper- who skidded along time tiled floor, nearly crashing into Khufu, who let out an offended noise since he dropped his Jell-O pot from surprise.

"Sorry!" Piper yelled the word- and there was a lot of laughter that filled the Great room as Piper sprinted to the other set of stairs and started sprinting up them in her attempt to escape from the other girls chase.

Which honestly just urged Percy on, both of them laughing loudly.

The laughter continued until Piper quite literally crashed into Walt- who was emerging from his room- and both of them hit the ground hard, Walt laughing loudly as he pushed himself up onto his elbows and raised an eyebrow at them. "Do I even want to know?"

And Percy stopped, putting on her most innocent look, "It's all Piper's fault."

"She attacked me!"

"You threw a pillow at me!" Percy pointed at Piper accusingly, "Such betrayal cannot be tolerated Walt! She threw a pillow at me- that's basically abuse-"

And Walt closed his eyes, clearly trying to stifle his laughter.

"Ah yes, the most serious form of abuse amongst friends, the pillow fight-"

"The pillow assault-"

"Ah yes." Walt closed his eyes, "Yes I see now how serious the matter is-"

"You could be like, the mediator." Percy grinned- which just made Walt laugh.

Percy, I'm very fond of you, and I adore your sister- but also I know you far too well." his lips were twitching, "I do not want to get involved in your ridiculous antics with your best friend. The last time I did you threatened to tell my boss I was mean-"

"Well I mean- your boss is my dad."

The look Walt gave her was almost comical before a sly grin spread across his lips. "Yes. Yes he is. And as his employee I think I'm obligated to tell him about the incident with the-"

"No!" Percy's eyes widened and she lunged forward, clapping a hand over Walt's mouth, "Nooooo. You swore you'd never speak of that."

And there was a smug glint on Walt's eyes as he gently grabbed her wrist and pulled her hand away from his mouth.

"Hm, I did. But I'm willing to do what I have to." he looked very amused.

Percy gaped at him before pointing at him dramatically, "You're evil! To think I actually approved of you and Sadie."

"Sadie will find it funny and you know it."

"Ugh, betrayal-" Percy clutched her chest, staggering back as if she'd been struck by an arrow or something, until she mock collapsed- and Piper caught her, laughing brightly at that.

"Are you done trying to kill me now?"

"Hmmm... maybe." Percy grinned at her friend. "For now."

"I'll take it." Piper grinned, rolling her eyes fondly as she pushed Percy so that the older girl straightened up.

"What even started all of this anyway?" Walt raised an eyebrow, crossing his arms over his chest.

"School want us to read!" Percy declared, "They actually assigned us a book to read over the summer- can you believe that, the audacity-"

"Percy-"
"And Piper acts like it's not even a big deal!" Percy huffed, "They are actually asking us to read over the summer!"

"That does seem kind of unfair." Walt admitted, clearly trying not to laugh, "Not the end of the world but not-"

"Ask her what book they assigned." Piper demanded, crossing her arms over her chest, "Ask her. Go on."

"What book?" Walt frowned when Percy avoided his eyes. "Percy what book?"

"I- the book doesn't matter, the book itself is unimportant-"

"Percy what book-"

"The first book of the Blake Adventures." Percy grumbled the words, and Walt stared at her for a long second before he tossed his head back, laughing loudly at her and shaking his head.

"I should have known." He rolled his eyes fondly, "And that devolved into you two running around like headless chickens-"

"I feel the need to point out that headless chickens can't actually run around-"

"Percy?"

"Yes Piper?"

"Shut up."

"Rude!" and with that Percy was taking off after her best friend again, reaching her just as Piper reached Percy's room, tackling the other girl into the room and picking her up, throwing her onto the bed, snatching up a pillow from the floor and jumping onto her bed herself.

"Oh hell no!" Piper laughed as she scrambled to her feet, wobbling slightly as she tried to balance on the bed, scooping up the final pillow and swinging it at Percy, deflecting Percy's attempt to smack her over the face- at which point her feet got tangled in Percy's sheets and she shrieked as she fell backwards off of the bed.

She landed on the floor with a thud and a groan- and Percy let out a panicked noise, dropping to her knees on her bed, leaning forward so that she could see her friend, who glared up at her.

"If you laugh I'm gonna tell you to go to that party Marcus wouldn't shut up about and kiss him."

"You wouldn't." Percy's eyes widened before narrowing. "Oh that is low-"

"What." Piper gave an innocent smile "It would make the poor boys dreams come true. And it would have the benefit of making Haley go green with envy."

"Blegh." Percy pulled a face, poking her tongue out as she held her hand out towards Piper. "Honestly Piper, I know you're joking but threatening that is just out of line."

"Of course."

"I mean I don't think he even brushes his teeth." Percy's nose scrunched up, and Piper giggled as she took Percy's hand, accepting her help in pulling herself up.

"I mean-" Piper shrugged, "You're probably not wrong." once she was on her feet Piper flopped onto the bed next to Percy.

"'Sides, he only has a crush on me 'cause I'm like, kinda famous."

"Kinda famous." Piper snickered, "You're not kinda famous Percy you are. Every time we go out you get people staring at you. It's worse than when I go out with dad, which doesn't happen often." she sat up, crossing her legs and grinning. "Half the kids in our school have a crush on you."

"Hm, I don't blame them," Percy winked before bursting out laughing, "Think I'd scare them off pretty quickly though."

"Eh, anyone you could scare off that easy doesn't deserve you." Piper remarked, which made Percy's cheeks flush for some reason.

"Doesn't matter anyway. After all-" She snickered, "Carter told me I'm not allowed to date until I'm like, a hundred."

"Seriously?"

"Yep, at first he said I'm not allowed to date any dumb guys until I'm fifty but then he decided to change it to a hundred 'cause you know, magicians can live super long lives."

"Well, since we're not gonna go to that party-" Piper said slowly, "You wanna go out and get ice cream?"

"Now that sounds like a good idea."
