I am currently editing the first chapter. It had a lot of grammatical errors since it was not proofread in hurry.

This is the second chapter, I know it is short but further chapters will be having about 5000 words.

It is obvious that I am trying to pair Hadrian and Ashara Dayne. But they will meet later.

Winterfell, The North - Year 260 BC

Hadrian Stark's POV

Hadrian Stark calmly advanced through Winterfell. Five years ago he was reborn in the world of Planetos. He didn't feel bad about being reborn as in this world magic felt twenty times more intense and powerful and he felt he was in paradise. He could feel the magic was already strengthening his entire body and even at an age of five, he had the body of a ten-year-old child. He was already reaching the peak of the human body and there was a large difference between him and other inhabitants of the castle.

He was a Mage and although it was a rank similar to Warlock and sorcerer there is a noticeable difference.

The Sorcerers were more like scholars who studies the intricacies of magic and its effect. They have 50 to 80 percent connection with the magic and use foci like wand, staff, ring, or pendant to guide magic and if the foci are removed they are useless in a fight.

The warlock has the same connection to magic as sorcerers but are very different from them. They focus on magic to strengthen their bodies during fights. The more connection you have with magic, the stronger you become. The most powerful warlock can fight face to face with chimeras and even dragons. These warlocks are revered and even feared. But in exchange for the magical energy they use, they cannot use foci. They use alchemy, runes, and potions that do not need foci. The sorcerers despise the warlock due to the use of various rituals to strengthen their bodies.

The mage is the most dangerous of the group. A Mage's body is affected by the amount of magical energy in the environment which constantly strengthens their body. Their number is very low such as 1 in 1000 sorcerer or warlock is a mage. In a nutshell, a mage is like a sorcerer who could use foci to a greater effect than a sorcerer while maintaining a superior connection between body and magical energy than a warlock. The ICW does everything to try and control or eliminate mages as they are a threat to their power and cant be controlled.

His Grandfather, Lord Arcturus Black discovered he was a mage, and instead of imprisoning him, he encouraged him to learn and refine his power. He hired tutors who were masters of their own field. He had an eidetic memory and a hunger to learn. Lord Black considered it the blessing of Lady Morrigan. He could understand, comprehend and apply magic easily. He learned quickly and soon had to bind the tutors in an oath to keep his secrets and to caused him or his family no harm.

By the time the ICW found out he was a mage, it was too late. He was twenty and had refined his art with great precision. He could be considered a master in various fields of magic. He was a terrifying individual who would combine his magic with science to cause greater results using less energy making him even more dangerous. The ICW tried to harass him once during his business trip, his wife Nymphadora Black died trying to save his children from kidnapping. As a reward for their action, he arrived at their headquarters and took the entire ICW body hostage. Each country sent attacking forces to subdue him and they fell to his runic traps. He then forced them to accept his demand for releasing the ICW members.

He forced the various ICW members and agents to take oath-bound to their country and ICW body that will prevent them from going against him, his family, or loved ones and leave them alone. Since the oath was tied to citizens of the country, no one could go against him and they knew it. In return he promised not to impose his demand, obligations of any kind, try to subdue or control any country. In the end, the ICW had to accept the demands and they knew they could not harm the Blacks without harming the citizens of their respective countries. This led to the formation of the first Magus Family, the Blacks. They grew and spread their influence far and wide making them the most powerful family both in the muggle and magical world.

However, as a mage, harry was absorbing the magical energy at an astonishing rate from the ley lines and spreading it throughout his body. The energy was massive and for any other being borderline dangerous. When he was small, he was almost killed by the excess energy. It led him to do some meditation to evenly spread the energy throughout his body. Since Winterfell is built on the nexus of three leylines, he sent the excess energy through ley lines. It was through the ley lines he was able to find more about his homeland, the North.

Some would simply scoff and sneer about the North and its beauty. He found out several times that people thought that the North was the land of worthless fools. It was the opinions of the South. The Southern Andal reminded him of the politicians, who would sell their mothers and daughters to gain some influence. Some people from the south were outright tyrants. Not that he had anything against these people, they lived in their lands and had a right to rule as they saw it fit to make their land stronger and gain more influence. He had more than enough in his mind to worry about the others.

Some of the people from the South had ego problems and behaved as the pureblood from Earth. They are proud of their power but when you look at them from a different perspective, you would say what power?

The Arryns were the most powerful family in the Valley in the East. They were only powerful due to the strategic location of their stronghold "Eyrie" and they were self-sufficient, so their coins remained with them. They also had silver mines and the lord of the Vale paid tribute to them. The Arryn's were not powerful as a house but as a whole, the East was powerful due to their Heavy Cavalry.

The Riverland was a fucking joke in Hadrian's mind. Their wealth mainly comes from the food contract with the North. While some say it is a good thing as it helps to keep the North in check, Hadrian thought that Riverland's only source of income was from the North. In Hadrian's mind, a country is as powerful as its economy, and if he was honest, the Riverland was economically pathetic for its dependence on one region. If somehow the North starts to grow their own food, the Riverlands will start to lose their economy rapidly Hadrian was already planning ways he can make the North self-sufficient in crops.

The Stormlands was a land of mountains and strong weather. They had veins of silver in their mines. They were not self-sufficient in crops and bought some from Reach. This led them to lose coins but not that much. Stormlands were not a superpower but could muster somewhere about 60,000 well-trained men in time of need.

The Westerland was economically the most powerful region in Westeros. due to abundant mines. They had a large number of goldmines which gave them an advantage as gold is valuable and important. They went by the principle of "the more gold we have, the more power we have". Despite this, since Westerland is a semi-mountainous region they had less tract of fertile land for farms and had to buy food from Reach. Hadrian knew the current head of Westerland Lord Lannister was a joke, but if there is one lesson he learned in his previous life it is if the father was a disappointment that the sons did what was necessary to be different from the father as possible and he had a strong heir in form of Tywin Lannister.

The Iron Island was a group of pirate islands. They are similar to Vikings. The Vikings were explorers, Did they plunder? Yes, but at the same time, they were warriors. They had rules and regulations. The Ironborns did not have any rules or regulations. If they could steal they will. He preferred the Vikings to Ironborns a thousand times. For an Ironborn there was nothing important, they were rapists and looters. If it was up to him, he would massacre them all and send them to their beloved Drown God. It was not kind of him but he had come to a conclusion a long time ago that ' Being kind was a fool's gift and here its the act of fool to put up with the enemy forces near his shores'

Then there is Reach. It has green fields and has the most fertile lands in Westeros. Their economy is completely dependent on agriculture. They are the main suppliers to the Lannister, Baratheons, Martells, and the Royal House of Targaryens. They were rich because they produced a lot of crops and can sell them at their favored price. They also had the largest army of Westeros. There Lord Paramounts are the Tyrells. It didn't help if the Reach lords are considered idiots if he had to put it bluntly.

Finally, there is the Dorne. This is an interesting region. Dornish customs are a mix between the Rhoynars, Andals, and the First Men. They were interesting people and were the most Slytherin of the people if one were to describe them. They were very stubborn and were the last kingdom to join the Iron Throne and that too by marriage. Hadrian also knew that despite the Martell's no love for the Targaryen, they would do everything in their power to remain influential and even were willing to force a Martell position as Queen to slowly control the seven kingdoms.

Then there are the ruling family, the Targaryens. They kind of reminded him of purebloods on steroids. Who thought it was a good idea to not bring any new blood into the family? It was stupid and pointless. You have to constantly improve your blood to eliminate any shortcomings, to do that you have to bring new blood to the family. He thought it was a good idea to bring a valyrians every two to three generations to have the mythical dragon-riding ability, but the truth was there is a lot of magic in the blood of Valyrians, Rhoynars, and the First Men. The Andals lacked Magic and considered it an abomination and thus a lot of people feared magic.

Anyways the Valyrians were dynasties of dragon tamers and riders. He would have congratulated them if not for the fact that they were idiots of the highest caliber. Instead of creating a strong and solid bond of friendship with the dragon they created a slave bond with the dragons, the same creatures which could be considered the symbol of power and strength. You need to be a complete idiot to do it, but then again that is the side effect of inbreeding and getting what they deserved. It wasn't entirely wrong, it was an effect produced by Mother Gaia. Gaia was the conscience of the planet or you could say Gaia is the planet. If Humanity became a threat to the planet, the earth would find a way to eliminate them before it is too late. When the Valyrians enslaved her children the dragons, Gaia gave them a chance to recover from their actions. But when they didn't do what Gaia wanted, she destroyed the Valyrians. They say fire purifies everything and nobody better than Gaia would know about it. From the ashes of Valyrians rose the new race of dragons and it wasn't their time yet.

Anyways since he was there he had looked North. Apparently, the First men were Gaia's favorite. human since they were the only ones who accepted the changes made by her. If you stop to think about it, it was interesting and she felt it was good. Though for some reason Gaia was upset and didn't tell him. Gaia was interested in watching him, learning from him, and knowing what her plans were. Hadrian felt like she was testing him, but he did not know the reason nor did he care. He was already used to being tested by magic so it was not a serious problem.

Hadrian read and understood the history of the Starks and was shocked, they were an interesting bunch of people as it would seem. They were touched and affected by magic. The first Stark was Brandon the Builder, he built the Wall and Winterfell amongst the many fortresses he built. After 8000 years the Winterfell stood strong without any repairs. That was only possible with help of magic and he watched the group carefully, There were many good Starks like Brandon the Explorer but there were also bad lots in the group like Brandon the Burner who in the grief of the loss of his father, torched the entire Stark Navy. Hadrian finally understood their family was touched by genius and idiots.

With that being thought, he extended and used his connection to understand the geography and landscape of the North and came to realize that it had untapped potential. Her land, His Home and he fell in love with his home. Hadrian loved magic and nature. It is the reason he hated the muggles because they destroyed nature and destroyed it without thinking of its consequences. But the North was beautiful and its only weakness is long winters which make it impossible for agriculture leading them to buy crops at staggering prices. The winters in the North are similar to ice age winters. It could be changed but weather magic is a complex set of magic and doing in such a large area is difficult if not impossible. He would need to study and research a lot before attempting.

The North was big or a little bigger than Canada and is roughly the Half of Westeros. So far perfect for his plans. One of the most important things about any good country is it needs to be spacious. Now for the resources, thanks to his relationship with Gaia he discovered several things about the North which if discovered by the South may lead to war for control of resources. Not that he cared, a storm here or a volcano there may lead to the death of a very well-trained military force. Let it not be said he wasn't capable of solving problems when they were on the door anyways.

Well the North has several huge mountain ranges, The first and the most notable are the monstrous mountain ranges that are in close proximity to the new gift and Brandon's gift under the control of mountain clans. It was filled to the brim with valuable resources which can be easily exploited containing veins of gold, copper, and iron. Iron was in the largest amount followed by gold and copper as they are known to be found in close proximity to each other. not that he cared. He cared for the worth of the entire mountain.

The next valuable and notable mountain ranges were found fortunately within the Stark lands which are more than a solid advantage for him as it meant he can easily take control of this land. The chain was south of Winterfell and was surrounded by White Knife. This range has gold and its excellent position meant it could be easily exploited by the Starks. No one could tell him how to use this land as these lands are under the jurisdiction of the Starks and if someone tells him, well accidents happen in Winter.

The next chain was belonging to the lands of Cerwyn and Hornwood, which could create a problem or an easy solution. House Cerwyn is an important ally to the Starks, as a part of the Winter Alliance. It is an Alliance created to counter Red Alliance created by house Bolton. Winter Alliance's object was to counter House Bolton's tactics and method. He didn't like the Boltons. Hornwood is a neutral house on the surface, but on deep research, it was found that Hornwood was a secret member of the Red Alliance as they are tired of dealing with the Starks and not acknowledging them as an important ally for the past millennia.

House Cerwyn had significant reserves of silver and precious jewels, unfortunately, Hornwood had Gold and Iron with little Copper. Needless to say, it was bad. But he was a Black and they learned a very important lesson that it is better to have enemies in two forms, dead or weak. He honestly preferred them dead as it gives them little headaches anyways. A dead enemy means zero problems and zero difficulties in his mind as he wanted to have a good time with his family. A weak enemy is always problematic as they create small problems when you become powerful.

The last decently sized (Lannister size) vein is in Skagos. Hadrian wanted to hit himself on his head. Skagos was like cancer in the North. He wasn't a person who would advocate the death of entire groups, but on other hand, Skagosi is xenophobic and would never abide by the Northerners. They also have bad blood with almost all the Northern houses which were incredible if Hadrian has to say. Although the island had very few trees, they are an ideal place to build a shipyard and his mind was compelling him to beat the shit out of the Skagosi and conquer the island even though it would be a morally wrong thing to do.

The more he looked at the North, the more he realized the importance and value of doing something. It is the moment, 8000 years they had to be lazy and sit on their asses without exploiting their country and he would not tolerate it anymore. Besides it is ridiculous that people can come up with ridiculous ideas such as democracy (Democracy on paper is fine but for it to work people need to be educated, and since when did rulers care about the education of the people) but educated people means many things like a good building, good military men and healers. All of them are very valuable.

Steeling himself he went to his father (his father was terrifying, standing at six and a half feet with all muscles and the Southern idiots were lanky and worthless really) he opened the door. He loved his family above all else but he would have no trouble to admit it but he had great respect for his family name. One does not become the protector and lord of the North by being kind men and women, that rules out respect and fear. Nothing is more valuable than the two people standing before him, but he knew his question will cause discomfort to them, but if he wants the North to rise he had to go through them.
