Fucking Aizawa.

He was really starting to grate on Bakugo's nerves. Stupid fucking quiet fucking teacher. Bet he got his teacher's license from dumpster diving. Homeless looking ass.

Why was Katsuki Bakugo so mad you might ask?

One simple answer. He had asked if Deku was in his class. And got a simple answer.

"I denied him."

How the fuck was he supposed to prove he was better than the little quirkless loser if he wasn't in his class? It was a conundrum to be sure. He was still seething over getting third place in the Entrance Exam. The nerd must've cheated somehow. Somehow. He just knew it, but he couldn't prove it.

As he marched he was also fuming that he got third again. On that stupid bullshit Quirk Apprehension Test. He got below that half and half bastard and the stupid bimbo. Now of course, Bakugo didn't really think that she was a bimbo given the intelligence she portrayed in a lot of situations, but never let it be said that he was the most rational person. He was also pissed that Aizawa lied about expelling someone. The person who got last was just an invisible chick. That was no better than being quirkless considering how useful it was in combat.

He stepped down the stairs and out onto the walkway that led to the road. That's when he saw him.

Fucking. Deku.

Fucking nerd was surrounded by a few of the extras from B-Class. Fitting they were in 1-B considering they would only be B-listers at best. They peaked here.

His hands started to pop with explosions as he sprinted towards the group of boys. A few of them stopped and turned towards Bakugo, who was rushing towards them like a rabid, explosive, bull.

"DEKU!"

Hitoshi Shinso was having quite possibly the best day of his life. No, not day. Week. Not only had he gotten into UA, which was already amazing, he had qualified for the Hero Course, Class 1-C. His teacher, Kayama-sensei, who was also the pro hero Midnight (why they let her work with children was a mystery) hosted a test on the first day instead of showing up for orientation. Apparently for the Hero Course, the assembly was optional. Which worked just fine with Shinso, he hated sitting in one place for too long. Especially if the room was crowded.

The test was quite grueling and he finished in the top ten. All the months of hard work was slowly but surely paying off. And it felt great. The other people in his class were honestly obnoxious, but there were a couple gems amongst them. Like Togeike and Agoyamato, who were just as withdrawn as he was and also worked hard to master their quirks.

Not that the other members of his class didn't work hard. Just from the first day, Shinso could tell that he was sitting in a room with people who worked hard and wanted to master their quirks. Some of them still had a long way to go, him included.

He ran a hand through his wild purple mane and stepped down into the walkway behind a spiky blonde. Honestly, as good as today had been, he was absolutely exhausted. He had stayed up all night in anticipation for the first day of school. Which he hadn't done since he first started school in kindergarten. Ever since he got his quirk, nobody wanted to be around him. They labeled him a villain, but they were wrong. And he would prove it.

Suddenly the blonde in front of him stopped. He started to growl. A deep guttural sound that emanated from his chest. His hands started to pop and crackle with barely restrained explosions.

No doubt this kid got in the Hero Course, but given how he was glaring hatefully at one of the other boys across the way. Who was laughing and smiling kindly at a few other boys, probably classmates. There was obviously some history there, and Shinso wasn't gonna touch it, so he walked around the explosive blonde and walked a few more steps until he heard a roar that he couldn't ignore.

It sent a feeling of anger through him. Deku. Worthless. This Hero Course student was putting someone else down. A truly shameful display of the future generation. Shinso narrowed his eyes and turned towards the boy who was rampaging towards the green haired boy.

He placed his hand on his shoulder, which caused the blonde to whip around, growling like a beast.

A real charmer, this one.

"What do you want, fucking extra?" He spat out.

Shinso frowned, "Any reason why you're making a fool of yourself in public?"

The boys eyes widened, and then narrowed, and Shinso felt his quirk slide into place as he responded, "Wh-"

He went still, his eyes looked vacant. Shinso ran a hand through his hair with a sigh. And glanced at the surprised boy and his friends. He smiled slightly at the boy, who beamed back at him.

"Alright, what's your name?"

"Katsuki Bakugo."

"Okay Katsuki, you're going to go home. Have a good night."

The blonde nodded and numbly started walking towards the exit.

With a blur, he was standing next to the green-haired boy, who now had a notebook in his hand. Where did he even… Y'know what, it doesn't matter. Shinso raised an eyebrow.

"Thank you so much! What is your name? What is your quirk?" The boy was bowing low with his hands ready to write.

He decided to humor him, "Hitoshi Shinso. You?"

"Izuku Midoriya." He was frantically writing in his notebook, "Your quirk?"

Shinso chuckled slightly. This kid was a lot, "Brainwashing. It lets me control people."

"What's the trigger? How long does it last for? Can you implant subconscious desires into people? What's the range?"

Midoriya was shooting him questions one after another. A mile a minute. But as much as Shinso wanted to talk to someone who was clearly so passionate about quirks, he couldn't reveal his trump cards this early. He had to save them for the Sports Festival.

"Trade secret," Shinso smirked, "now what's your quirk?"

Midoriya's grin got wider, which he didn't even know was possible. He flipped through his notebook to the first page and glanced up nervously and then shook it off.

"It's called Utopia, it's a Mutant type quirk that gives me a gland that absorbs kinetic energy and stores it until I release it," He grinned, "I can use it to do a lot of things, I'd share, but sorry. Trade secret."

"Why'd you call it Utopia and not like… Kinetic Storage or something?" Shinso asked.

"Because I want to make the world the best place I can with this powerful quirk. But I can't do it alone, I know that, and the best utopia's are built with many people."

Symbolic. Shinso kinda vibed with that. He raised an eyebrow and looked down at his watch. It was a little later than he wanted to leave so he shot another look at Midoriya.

"It's been fun, but I've gotta go. I'll be keeping an eye on your Midoriya."

And with that, Hitoshi Shinso walked away from the school.

A/N: Alright, I wanted to quickly get the Interlude out so I could move on to the next arc, which is the Battle Trials. I hope that this will be enough to tide you over until I get to the next arc. Hopefully. Now I mentioned wanting to switch to a first person POV, but I'm actually curious, do you guys prefer the third person or do you want me to switch? I'll start a poll and leave it up until I start officially working on the next chapter. So you guys got about a week to answer if you want to stay involved.

Also, we finally figured out the name of Izuku's quirk. And there is so much about the titular quirk that is more than meets the eye. As the story progresses, we will learn more about it. I'm sure a lot of have figured some bits out, but there's still some stuff you don't know.

QUESTION TIME

LS14: First of all, I'd like to thank you for the compliment. Means a lot lol. Onto the questions...

1. As you can see from this chapter, Shinso was added to the new Hero Course.

2. And as for the second question it is a mix of all them. Some of them will be some obscure characters that I wanted to repurpose because I liked their designs and quirks, quite a few villains (some of which I aged appropriately), people from other schools, and there is an OC or two. Though most of the repurposed characters are effectively OC's given how little was elaborated on about them. I also reshuffled a couple students in A and B to fit.

Unfortunately though I can't really name names as that would kinda be spoilers, and I want to keep the suspense up for this mysterious Class 1-C lol.

Now like always if you have any questions, don't be afraid of asking them. I am always happy to answer, though it might not always be a full answer due to maybe some crucial details.

Anyways, like I said last chapter I have ko-fi. Not mentioning it more than that.

So long and goodnight!
