It had been a few days since Bell joined the Astraea familia, he spent much if that time getting to know his familia members and Orario itself. He was now more familiar with where everything was, now he was currently in the guild studying for his dungeon dive. This was the only was his familia would allow him to enter the dungeon at his age. Some time passed and he reviewed his exam with the proctors. They confirmed that he was ready with the information of the first 8 floors, what amazed them was the speed that he learned it. A single day was all it took to process all that information. He was now ready to start his career as an adventurer.

Alise: I hope you're ready, today's your first day in the dungeon as a part of our familia.

Bell: I've never been more ready!

Ryuu: Shall we get going?

Alise: Yes.

It was currently them along with Neze, Alise had stuck her captain duties onto Kaguya. The four of them would go to the dungeon. With Bell an elite level 1 and Ryuu an early level 2, they would be in charge of clearing most of the floors. Alise was a fresh level 4 and Neze was a mid level 3 so they would be able to keep everyone safe if something unexpected happened. It had been as normal as it gets for the dungeon, Bell and Ryuu had little trouble clearing the floors. People were already somewhat aware of who Bell was, but the sight of a child keeping up with seasoned adventurers amazed them. They were making good time, they had made it to floor 7 in a few hours. Things began to slow down when they arrived at floor 8, they saw a little girl with blonde hair and an elf with green hair. These two were the Doll Princess and Nine Hell from the Loki familia. Astraea and Loki consider themselves friends so Alise went to greet them.

Alise: Hey, Riveria!

Riveria: Oh, hello.

Alise: Fancy seeing you down here, were you watching over her again.

She looked down to the little girl who stared back at her.

Riveria: Yes, Ais can be a handful. If she isn't down here slaying monsters then she's back home training constantly.

Alise: Hehe, you know, it's important to rest every now and again.

She gave the girl a smile which was returned with a nod. Alise and Riveria talked for a bit while Bell went to say hi to the girl.

Bell: Hi there, my name's Bell, nice to meet you!

Ais just stood there and looked at him. She wasn't entirely sure how to respond to him at first, but remembered what Riveria told her.

Ais: My name is Ais. Nice to meet you too.

Bell was happy to have made another friend, even if she hasn't agreed to that yet. The two decided to join up as Ais wanted to use this opportunity to go deeper into the dungeon. With the added force of the girl, they progresses much faster than before. It was known between the two familias that Ryuu and Ais were rivals of sorts. They were on par with each other and leveled up at similar times with Ais being faster. What Ais wasn't ready for was the little boy who could keep up with both of them. Riveria saw the boy in action for the first time and was surprised, his combat skill was even better than Ais'. Several hours passed and everyone was currently on the surface cashing in their stones. When they finished, they got ready to part ways, but not before Bell made a request.

Bell: Ais, do you want to do this again?

Ais just tilted her head at what he meant. No one ever made this kind of request. Luckily, Riveria had explained it to her.

Riveria: He means that he wants to go to the dungeon with you again.

Ais' eyes widened at this and a small smile crept up on her face.

Ais: Can I?

She looked at Riveria as she needed her consent to do this.

Riveria: As long as you have one of the executives from either familia join, I have no problem with you going with him. Well, as long as it's fine with you.

Neze: Fine by me, I can supervise if I have the time.

Alise: Same for me.

Bell: Awesome, I'm looking forward to it !

Alise: We have to get going now, it was nice seeing you two.

They waved each other goodbye, on their way back, Ais asked Riveria about something.

Ais: Riveria, why do I feel light right now?

Riveria: Well, if you're not sick or tired which you're not, it means you feel happy about something.

Ais: Happy...

Riveria: (You're finally starting to make friends your age. I'm happy for you and I hope this changes you for the better, Ais.)

Ais was eager to dive into the dungeon with Bell again. Now she would sometimes dream about rabbits at night.

Back with Bell and the others, Alise was trying to tease him about making a date plan with the girl, but Bell had no idea what she was talking about. Sadly for Zeus, Bell wasn't around him long enough to understand what a harem was and why he should try to pick up girls. He only knew that they were something to treasure and protect.

It had been a little over two weeks since Bell came to Orario, he was steadily making his presence in the city known as many have recognized him as the child in the dungeon. He would be one of, if not the youngest adventurer in Orario. He also became closer friends with Ais, they would take either Riveria or one of the girls depending on who had time and they trained in the dungeon. It began to turn more into a game for them where they competed to see who killed more monsters by counting their magic stones at the end since monsters only drop one. Some days Bell one and some Ais won, but they enjoyed this and Riveria was happy that Ais had something else in life other than her hate for monsters. Right now, Finn wanted Ais out of the dungeon as their familia had important business in the city itself so Ais was at Stardust Garden training with Bell. They were doing some sparring sessions and were mostly even. Bell's stats rose even higher than before, but what surprised Ais was his magic. She wanted to fight at a higher level so she began using her recently acquired wind magic which Bell matches with his lightning magic. They clashed swords for a while until they took another break, Ais took this chance to ask Bell about his magic.

Ais: Bell, can I ask you something?

Bell: Uh, sure.

Ais: How did you get your lightning magic?

Bell: Well, I got it after training in magic with my mom. She taught me the basics of using magic.

Ais: Wow, that's amazing.

Her eyes were wide as she looked at him, she was impressed that his mother was able to teach him magic. She was mainly stuck with learning from Riveria, although, hearing that Bell learned from his mother made Ais a little jealous. She couldn't help but frown a little which Bell noticed.

Bell: What's wrong?

Ais: Huh?

Bell: You look upset. Was it something I said.

Ais: (How am I supposed to tell him? He might find me weird if he knows I'm from the past. I already lost my family I don't want to lose my friend.)

Her face contorted further before Bell gave her a hug.

Bell: I'm sorry, I won't ask anymore. You can tell me when you want.

Ais looked at him and he was smiling at her. That was able to at least calm her down.

Ais: Thank you.

They continued talking until Riveria came to take Ais back home. The two bid farewell and Bell went to Astraea for an update. What she saw astounded her.

Bell ran out and Astraea called for her captain to see this. When Alise came in she nearly screamed but Astraea was able to cover her mouth.

Astraea: No one can find out about this. Orario would flip onto its head if this got out.

Alise: Yeah, I agree. I've never seen tanks like this. Triple S and X? His stats are so high that if Ryuu didn't level up on our last dungeon dive Bell would be stronger than her.

The two agreed that now would not be the time to tell others but that choice was out of their power.

Babel...

Ottarl: You called, Lady Freya?

Freya: Yes, I need you to prepare something special.

Ottarl: And that is?

Freya: A proper challenge for someone. Something to push them to new heights.

Ottarl: It will be done.

He left and the goddess sat alone as she stared down in the city.

Freya: (Sorry Astraea, but I'll be taking the rabbit from you soon~.)

AN: Things are gonna start heating up in the next chapter. As for what Ottarl will prepare for Bell, you'll have to wait and see.
