Bell had left and went to look for people to help. Fate decided that he didn't have to look for long as he saw Ais fighting of a group of Evilus members. He quickly jumped in to back her up.
Clang*
Evilus Grunt D: Wha
Bell: Ais!
Ais: Bell?!
Bell: Need a hand?
He smiled at his friend who only nodded and returned it with a smirk. The two turned back to the 4 evilus members and started again. The two used their teamwork to beat all of them in no time flat. It after that they heard something coming to them.
ROAR*
Ais: What's that?
Bell: I think it's coming towards us.
The boy was right as they found a red and black minotaur crash in front of them. They later saw a green girl of the monster's back.
Demi spirit: Aria...
Ais shuddered when she heard that name.
Ais: (What? H-How does it know mom's name?)
Bell: Aria?
Ais grew more worried about Bell now. She didn't want her friend to think differently of her.
Bell: Oh well, you're clearly not here to be friends. Let's go!
He turned to Ais and gave a comforting smile.
Ais: Sorry. Okay, I'm ready.
Both: Haaaaah!!
They charged the beast, Bell with his lighting and Ais with her wind, but the minotaur was able to block it with its arms. The weapons cut into the skin, but not by much. They pulled their swords out and Bell threw a flash of lighting into its face.
Bell: Haaaa!
They used that to back away and think up a plan.
Bell: Wow, it's tough. Any ideas?
Ais: Just one.
Bell: What?
Ais: We work together and hit it until it dies!
Author: *FACEPALM*
Bell: That could work.
They went at it again and used their speed to confuse the monster and get in as many small hits as they could. Bell and Ais could estimate that this was around mid level 4 in strength so they couldn't take too many of its hits. Bell saw that they weren't make too much headway so he used more of his magic.
Bell: Eat this!
The dust cleared and they saw that the spell didn't deal much damage.
Ais: What?
Bell: This is gonna take a while.
The battle went on and soon the monster gave into its rage and turned bright red. It had knocked Bell away and went to attack Ais.
Bell: Ais!!
The girl didn't have much time to react before the demi spirit was on top of her. The beast grabbed the girl and proceeded to squeeze the life out of her.
Ais: Gah!!
She tried to squirm out, but she was stuck. The monster squeezed harder and her screams got louder.
Bell: Let her go!!
That was when Bell unconsciously channeled his magic into his sword as well. He stabbed the blade into it's back and the monster cried out, dropping Ais which Bell was quick to grab. He found some place safe to leave her as the pain caused her to black out, now Bell was on his own.
Bell: He won't touch you, Ais!
He made his promise and soon, his eyes took a silver color just like last time. When this did, he felt himself grow stronger and soon the two fought evenly. Bell's sword vs the monster's axe, they clashed again and again to gain ground. All Bell had over it was speed so he used it to wear down the monster. Seven minutes passed and the two were both spent. Only a little more and they would fall. Bell channeled his remaining mind into his sword for one last attack while the minotaur looked to ram its horns into the boy.
ROAR*
Bell: RAAAAAAGH!!!
The two charged each other and then Bell's lighting coated sword met the beast's horns. They were stuck in a stalemate until
Ding Ding Ding*
Bell: (I won't lose, not here! I will be a hero for everyone!)
The sounds of Bell could be heard. Bell charged his argonaut at the same time to increase his power. 30 seconds was all he needed, when the time passed, he backed off and then used his speed to deliver a clean horizontal slash to the monster's stomach.
Bell was spent and he fell to the ground exhausted as the demi spirit screamed.
Demi Spirit: NOOOOOOO, I WON'T LET IT END THIS WA-
She couldn't finish before she felt the monster grab her. The minotaur broke the parasitic grasp the demi spirit had and crushed its head. Bell was barely conscious, but he heard a voice in his head before he passed out.
???: Next time... our battle... will be just me and you.
Bell was drifting between conscious and unconscious before something strange invaded his mind, as if those words were spoken before.
Bell: (What?)
The boy couldn't question any further before he heard another voice.
???: ell.
???: Bell!
His vision cleared as he woke up again. When he did, he saw Ais next to him with tears in her eyes. The girl saw the boy wake up and tightly embraced him.
Ais: Don't scare me like that, I thought you died dummy!
Bell: Ow! Sorry, Ais.
Bell wasn't sure what to do so he just pat the girl's head as she quietly sniffled into his chest. After calming down, they decided to recall what happened to them.
Bell: So Ais, what happened? How long was I out?
Ais: Only a few minutes from when I woke up. The monster was dead when I woke up and I saw you unconscious, you scared me.
Bell: It's okay, I promise I won't leave you.
Ais: You better.
The two went to find a healer for their injuries as the attack continued.
AN: I apologize in advance for how short this one was, but hey, three in a day. There wasn't going to be much to write beyond the fight itself since in was only them, any civilian spectators were already evacuated so there was no audience for them. Now all that'sleft is to see how Orario's old legends fair against the strongest demi spirit.
