Baldur Sigurðarson woke up to screams and the sound of blades clashing. The smell of blood and smoke invaded his nostrils and the Nord's eyes snapped open to see a wooden ceiling. His body shot up into a sitting position and his eyes quickly roamed his surroundings. Taking it all in before realizing he was in a bed and a room he was not familiar with. He then noticed that he was only wearing his blue tunic that reached his knees and brown trousers that were tucked inside his leather boots.

The last thing he remembered was him and his mercenary company, the Skjaldfélagar or Shield Companions, sailing west in search for a new land of opportunity after him and his mercenaries were driven out of Swadia by Harlaus and his loyalists as well as their rival mercenaries, the Red Company, at the end of the Swadian Civil War.

Joining him was the former claimant to the Swadian throne and the Shield Companions' former employer, Isolla, who had given up and decided to take up the mercenary life after her failed rebellion.

They couldn't escape to the other kingdoms seeing as how Harlaus' best general, the Red Company's leader named William the Red, led the campaign against the Khergits, Nords, Rhodoks, Sarranids and Vaegirs. With his leadership in the field of battle, the Kingdom of Swadia's army achieved victory after victory after victory. By the time Harlaus had driven the Swadian Rebels (And by extension the Shield Companions) into exile, the Kingdom of Swadia had taken over the entirety of the Kingdom of Rhodoks and had captured Curaw and Reyvadin from the Vaegirs, Sargoth and Tihr from the Nords, Halmar and Narra from the Khergits and Shariz from the Sarranids. They also took a number of castles as well from each faction.

King Graveth of the Rhodoks was dead and his Lords followed. Even in defeat, the Rhodoks did not bow their heads and succumb. They fought to the last man. Even the claimant and Graveth's rival, Lord Kastor of Veluca, refused to bow to the Swadians and died fighting. When the Swadians took over the land, the people were restless and Harlaus planted his most ruthless lords to pacify the peasant revolts across Rhodok but the common folk continued to rebel no matter what they did.

As for the Nords, they survived the Swadians' campaign and only had the northereastern region of Calradia left as their territory with Wercheg being their new capital and Lethwin Far-Seeker as their new king. Ragnar was killed in the Sacking of Sargoth and Lethwin was planted as a puppet king by the Swadians. The Jarls who hadn't left to join the Nordic Rebels bowed their heads to their Swadian conquerors and were seen as cowards. Just like the peasant Rhodoks, the Nords that were loyal to Ragnar continued to fight.

The Vaegirs, Khergits and Sarranids, not wanting to share the same fate as the Nords and Rhodoks, agreed to settle a peace and gave in to the demands of the Swadians. Part of their demands was that if Isolla were to ever set foot in their lands, she'd be captured and brought to Harlaus for execution.

The rest of the factions agreed and this left Isolla with no option but to join Baldur and his Shield Companions as they sail west.

Baldur had thought of returning to Nordland and take his rightful place as Konungur of Frostrike. His uncle was a usurper but seeing as how the majority of his father's Huscarls betrayed them and forced him into exile, he doubted he'd receive a warm welcome back in Frostrike.

While they were sailing, the skies suddenly darkened. Lightning flashed and thunder roared in the sky as the rain poured down into the raging sea. They tried to keep to keep steady and remain on their course but the last thing he saw before everything went dark was the massive wave bearing down on their Drakkar Longship. Then he woke up here. Wherever HERE is.

Grunting, Baldur removed himself from the mattress and searched the room for his weapons and armor. Unfortunately, he had no such luck and found neither of them.

The Nordic Mercenary moved to leave but the sound of footsteps approaching put him on alert and he quickly grabbed the candlestick from the nightstand before placing himself beside the door and waited.

Baldur heard the footsteps just outside the door and his grip on the candlestick tightened.

The door was kicked open and a man carrying a bound and gagged woman over his shoulder barged into the room. He remained unaware of Baldur's presence as he threw the woman in the bed and moved on top of her.

"I'm gonna fucking enjoy this." The man whispered into the woman's ear before licking her cheek and started ripping open her dress.

Said woman screamed but the gag prevented anyone from hearing. Tears ran freely down her cheeks until her eyes caught sight of Baldur who was now standing by the foot of the bed.

"Hey."

The woman's would-be rapist looked over his shoulder only to receive a candlestick to the cheek and sent him to the floor. The man grabbed his bruised cheek and glared at his attacker only for his eyes to widen in fear as the man stood nearly seven feet tall.

The hand that had been reaching for a dagger faltered and Baldur scoffed at the sight of the cowering man. It wasn't worth the effort to kill him but he didn't want to risk the little piece of shit running and calling for his friends. Then again. Maybe they could provide a challenge.

Baldur shook his head. If they were like him, he doubt they would be any challenge at all.

Without so much as a word, Baldur threw the candlestick at the man's head and knocked him out. He then turned to the bound woman who was looking up at him in fear.

The Nord spared her a glance before going over to the unconscious form of her would-be rapist and searched his body. He found a coin purse and a dagger before keeping the former and used the latter to cut the bounds around the woman's wrists and ankles.

Once he was done, she removed the gag around her mouth and was about to thank Baldur only to see the Nord leaving the room. The dagger he used to cut her free lay on the foot of the bed.

The woman stared at the blade before looking towards the man on the floor as he was slowly coming to. She didn't hesitate to grab the weapon and let out her anger at the man with a scream of rage.

Outside, Baldur could hear the sound of a blade repeatedly meeting flesh and ignored it. He was more concerned about where his arms and armor were. The Nord reached the end of the corridor where a flight of steps led downstairs. As he was about to head down, he heard voices below and listened in.

"Look at this. The boy can't even lift the thing."

"Pathetic."

"Just put him out of his misery."

"Didn't Stephen bring the bitch upstairs?"

"Let's break the boy first. Make him watch before slitting his throat."

Baldur heard a voice scream, presumably the boy's, followed by laughter of about four people. The Nord continued downstairs and witnessed the sight of four men grabbing the boy by the hands and feet and taking him towards the stairs. Baldur, however, was focused solely on the weapon one of the men had in their hand. It was a Great Long Axe. HIS Great Long Axe.

He then noticed the weapons of the other three and saw that they were using HIS weapons and armor.

Baldur's expression turned furious and he wordlessly walked towards them but none of them noticed as they were too busy trying to keep the boy from escaping.

While they were distracted, Baldur grabbed the lower end of his long axe and snatched it from the man's grip. Surprising him and caused him to fall on his ass to the floor.

"Hey! Who the fuck- "

Those were the last words that came out of his mouth as Baldur brought his long axe down and split his head open.

The remaining three men saw this and gaped at the sight of their friend's head split into two.

Baldur grunted and removed the long axe from the corpse and swung it wide. Severing the head of the one closest to him which brought the remaining two out of their stupor and theh drew their weapons. No. HIS weapons.

"Bastard!"

The two ran towards him and Baldur growled in annoyance. He smashed his head against the first man's own and knocked him to the ground before grabbing the second by the head and pushed him to the ground on his back. Baldur brought his long axe down on the second man and split his head open before going over the first one who was cowering away from him only for Baldur to bury his long axe jnto the man's head.

To the side, the boy stared wide-eyed at how easy the tall Nord disposed of the four bandits and felt himself shrink when Baldur walked towards him. He thought he was next as the Nord reached out his hand and the boy closed his eyes. Waiting for the end to come but it never did.

The boy opened his eyes and saw that Baldur simply retrieved the bearded axe that was in the hands of one of the men he killed.

"Gerard!"

Baldur looked over his shoulder as the young woman from before stood at the top of the stairs. Blood stained her torn dress while her hand held a dagger dripping with blood.

"Giselle!"

The Nord watched impassively as the boy forgot all about him and the dead men and run up the stairs into the young woman's awaiting arms.

Baldur hummed to himself at the sight before proceeding to loot the bodies and taking back what is his. He removed his armor from the man who took it and proceeded to put them on before retrieving his sword and shield.

Once he was finished, the Nord stood to his full height and made sure everything was in place.

His armor consisted of a short-sleeved gambeson that reached his hips with a mail shirt over it. He also wore a lamellar cuirass in addition to the mail shirt and wore a set of splinted vambraces and greaves. Protecting his head was a Nordic helmet with a spectacle guard around the eyes and nose as well as a mail aventail.

Baldur hung his Round Shield on his back with the shield's guige hooked around his neck. He sheathed his sword in a scabbard attached to a baldric and hooked his bearded axe on his belt. The Nord rested his long axe on his shoulder before making his way out of the building and into the streets of the town.

Now that he had his weapons and armor back, all that's left was to find his companions then get the hell out of this place.

As Baldur walked away from them, Gerard and Giselle stared at his retreating back. The siblings holding onto each other for dear life while their eyes were firmly planted on the heraldry painted on the Nord's shield. A white raven on a field of blue.

(Line Break)

Chevalier-sœur Estelle of the Templiers de l'aube or Dawn Templars glared at the bandits that cornered her into an alley. Her right hand gripped her longsword tightly while her left hand covered the large, bleeding cut that ran down her left eye. Inflicted by one of the bandits during the fight that left her visually impaired and at a disadvantage. Numerous cuts can be seen across her body. The 'armor' she wore, if you can call it that, covered only her nipples, womanhood, shoulders, forearms and lower legs.

Despite the lack of proper armor, she faired far better than her Sœurs who had been knocked out early in the fight and then dragged away somewhere to be brought back to the bandits' lair or violated nearby. Estelle used that as motivation to survive and she managed to do so for a bit. Killing four bandits before more arrived and pushed her into a corner.

The Dawn Templar took a step back as the bandits closed in on her. Estelle prepared to make her last stand but then something behind the bandits caught her eye.

A towering figure wielding a large axe walking up behind the bandits. They didn't notice him at first until he grabbed one of the bandits at the far back by the shoulder and effortlessly threw him at the wall before swinging his axe into the bandit's midsection.

This alerted the nine remaining bandits who turned their backs on Estelle to face the newcomer. The bandits threw some crass words at the towering man before rushing him all at once.

Meanwhile, Baldur grunted in annoyance and removed his axe from the bandit he just killed before grabbing his bearded axe and throwing it at the rest of the bandits. It sailed through the air and struck his intended target in the head.

The second closest bandit tried to bash his shoulder into Baldur but ended up getting knocked to the ground. The Nord walked to the downed bandit and kicked him in the face. The force of the kick was strong enough to snapp the man's neck back much to the horror of the others.

Baldur raised his long axe and brought it down on a third bandit. Burying the blade of the axe on the man's shoulder before pulling it free and causing the bandit to stumble forward only for Baldur to wrap his free hand around the man's neck and lift him off his feet then swiftly slamming the man into the ground.

The Nord cracked his neck before stomping towards his next opponent. He smashed his forearm across the man's face and caused him to spin around. With the bandit's back turned to him, Baldur hooked his long axe around the man's neck and proceeded to kick him in the back hard. This resulted in the man's decapitation.

'Five down.' Baldur thought 'Five to go. Not even a challenge.'

"Die!"

Two bandits ran towards. Swords raised and an expression of anger etched on their faces.

"Tch."

Baldur swung his axe and caught the first bandit in the midsection before punching him off of his weapon. He then slammed the blunt end of his long axe on the second bandit's face and knocked him into the ground before bringing his weapon down in the man's chest. The axe's blade digging deep into his chest and breaking through his sternum.

The Nord removed his long axe from the dead man and turned to face the three remaining bandits who were looking at the towering man in fear.

One of them dropped his weapon and made a run for it but Baldur caught him by the back of his shirt's collar and proceeded to lift the man over his head then drop on one knee. Slamming the bandit on his extended knee hard and breaking the man's back before throwing his body to the ground.

Baldur stood up and was about to face the last two bandits only to see the nearly bare woman they had cornered fighting them off.

Estelle, her left eye closed, locked swords with one of the bandits. Her left hand gripping the blade itself as the two fought for dominance. The Dawn Templar won and disengaged form the lock before elbowing his face. She then kicked the other bandit back before gripping her weapon invertedly by the blade and slammed the crossguard down on the top of the first bandit's head.

The bandit's body limped and fell to it's knees and Estelle freed her weapon from the man's head before turning to face the last bandit who ran towards her.

The Dawn Templar used her left hand to grip the middle part of her longsword and ducked underneath the bandit's sword as he swung it at her before thrusting her blade into his abdomen and causing the man to drop his sword to the ground. She removed her left hand from her blade and grabbed the man's shoulder then proceeded to pull him deeper until her blade was almost buried to the hilt.

Estelle grunted as she pushed the now limp bandit off of her blade before turning her exhausted form towards Baldur who watched the Dawn Templar fight.

'Could use a bit of work.' The Nord thought 'She would make a fine addition to the company. But we'll have to go about buying her a good set of armor first.'

Baldur's thoughts were interrupted when the Dawn Templar approached him. The young woman had to strain her neck to look up at the Nord's towering stature.

"You. You were the one they brought in yesterday."

"What's happening here?" Baldur questioned.

"Bandits." Estelle answered "They came in droves and took the town by surprise."

The Dawn Templar walked towards one of the bodies and grabbed the sword before looking it over. She narrowed her eyes before dropping it to the ground and looked back at the Nord.

"These weapons. They're high quality." Estelle stood up and looked at the corpses "All of them are. I wouldn't be surprised if a bandit or two has one. Probably belongs to their last victim. But all these bastards having high quality blades that only soldiers and lords can afford? Someone paid them to do this. To sack the town."

"It appears so but my only concern is where my ship and my company are."

"You and your people washed up on shore yesterday. Your ship's in pieces and most of it's crew were dead when the townsfolk found them. The townsfolk only managed to save six of you. The town healer said the rest drowned most likely and their bodies washed up on the shore. Still are from what I've heard."

"Where are they?"

"They woke up first. About a few hours ago, I think. They were exploring the town last I heard before the bandits showed up. They could be anywhere in this mess." Estelle replied.

Baldur grunted before he started walking away.

"Hey! Where are you going?"

"To find my companions and get hell out of this town." Baldur answered. Stopping by one of the corpses to retrieve his bearded axe.

"You're just gonna leave? What about the townsfolk?"

"What about them?"

That earned him a glare from the Dawn Templar but he didn't notice nor did he care to.

"The bandits are too many. The town will be overrun!"

"And why should I care if this town falls?" Baldur stood up and spared her a glance over his shoulder.

"If it weren't for these people, you and your friends would still be on that shore and easy prey to bandits and scavengers! This is how you repay them? By leaving them to the mercy of these brigands!"

"I'm no gallant knight, girl. I'm a mercenary." Was the Nord's gruff response "I don't work for free or out of the goodness of my heart. I killed these men because I thought they would pose a challenge but it turns out they were the same as the rest. Weak and pathetic. It makes me wonder how this town got overrun by such weaklings."

"Putain de bâtard. I'll have you- "

Estelle closed her eye and took a deep breath before letting the air out through her nose in an effort to to calm herself down. She reached for her coin purse before throwing it at Baldur. Estelle knew how to deal with these types. She watched as the Nord caught the coin purse in his hand and jiggled it to estimate it's weight before looking back at the Dawn Templar who spoke up.

"Fine. If you help us drive these bandits out of town, then my Capitaine will reward you for your efforts. Perhaps even the mayor and the townsfolk would show their gratitude through coin."

Baldur let out an amused sort and tied the coin purse to his belt.

"This will do for now. Lead the way, girl."

"What about your companions?" The Dawn Templar inquired.

"They can take care of themselves." Baldur answered with a shrug "I never would have let them join the company if they couldn't."

(Line Break)

"I recognize this handiwork. It's Baldur's."

"Are you sure?"

"Definitely. Follow the bodies, we find Baldur. Let's move."

The small band of mercenaries didn't need to be told twice and followed the trail of bodies left in the wake of their leader. In the head of the group was the Skjaldfélagar's second-in-command, Oleg Vladimirovich.

Oleg wore a white, long-sleeved tunic underneath a short-sleeved, mail hauberk. He wore a lamellar cuirass over the mail shirt as well as a pair of brown, baggy trousers that were tucked in a pair of leather boots. A set of splinted vambraces protected his forearms and a pair of splinted greaves protected his lower legs. He wore a spangenhelm with a spectacle guard, horse hair plum and mail aventail over his head. In his hands was a Battle Axe. Not as large as Baldur's Great Long Axe but it did the job all the same. On his back was a Kite Shield. The surface of the shield painted blue with a white raven on the center.

The two had served together in the Vaegir army. Baldur was fifteen at the time and Oleg was nineteen yet the Nord's taller stature made him appear older than he really was. Baldur's bravery and prowess in battle earned him the spot of captain with Oleg as his ever faithful lieutenant and friend. When they finally ended their service four years later, Baldur, Oleg and a couple of other Vaegirs and Nords joined them to form the Skjaldfélagar and worked as mercenaries in the Kingdom of Swadia while it was still ruled by King Esterich.

They started small. Taking out Forest Bandits and other bandits that had entered Swadia or wondered a little too close to the kingdom's borders. Their reputation earned them a spot in the Swadian army as hired mercenaries. They went on to win a number of large skirmishes against the Rhodoks and Khergits which caught King Esterich's interest after many Bards started singing songs of their battles. Even in his court.

The Swadian King soon hired them as his personal retinue. All of it was for show but he didn't expect the Skjaldfélagr to be his saving grace when a battle against the Rhodoks went awry. Morale was low and they were outnumbered until the Skjaldfélagr asked to join in the fight. Having no other choice, Esterich approved and the Skjaldfélagr charged into the ranks of the Rhodoks. Using their mighty round shields to block the volley of crossbow bolts as they closed in on the troops before cutting down their infantry with their axes and swords.

By the end of the battle, the Skjaldfélagar had killed more than Esterich's army during the fight and forced the remaining Rhodoks to retreat.

From then on, Esterich used the Skjaldfélagr to lead his forces to victory. When a battle was turning in the enemy's favor, Esterich would send out the Shield Companions to turn the tide and the Swadians would emerge victorious. The Skjaldfélagar continued to serve him faithfully as his royal guards for eighteen years. Awarding them with coin and Tevarin Castle as well as the town of Balanli.

They grew in number and had taken warriors they deem worthy into their ranks. Not caring where they came from as long as they were strong. Nord, Vaegir, Swadian, Rhodok, Khergit, Sarranid. Anyone can join as long as Baldur or Oleg saw them worthy of joining the Skjaldfélagar.

Life was good until Esterich died and Harlaus took the throne from Isolla before she could be crowned. He took back what had been given to them by Esterich and gave it to his lords. That's when Isolla paid them for their services and they swore their allegiance to Esterich's daughter for as long as she can pay them.

The Skjaldfélagar took back Tevarin Castle and joined the Swadian Rebels' side in the Swadian Civil War.

Oleg shook his head. Not wanting to lose himself to his memories and focused on finding his commander.

Following behind him were Isolla, Batu, Bhaltair and A'isha.

Isolla wore a long-sleeved, mail hauberk underneath a surcoat in the colors of her banner. She wore a set of spaulders, rerebraces, couters and vambraces around her arms while her legs were protected by poleyns, greaves and sabatons. Her head was protected by a mail coif underneath a sugarloaf helmet. She wielded a Long Arming Sword and a Knightly Heater Shield painted in the colors and heraldry of the Skjaldfélagar.

To the former claimant of the Swadian throne, mercenary life didn't seem to be looking too well at the moment. First they were caught in a violent storm then woke up in an unfamiliar town with the news that only seven of them were left. The rest of those that accompanied them were either dead or lost to the sea.

At least they knew Baldur was alive.

Batu was a Khergit Horse Archer that Baldur chose to spare rather than execute when the man proved to be an exceptional fighter even when not using a bow or fighting on horseback. After his life was spared, he chose to fight with the Skjaldfélagar and Baldur allowed him into their ranks.

The Khergit wore a full set of lamellar armor underneath his grey robe and silk vest. The armor consisted of a lamellar armor set with a fur mantle and a grey cloak. He used a Composite Bow and a set of Khergit Arrows alongside a Sabre and a Round Cavalry Shield.

Bhaltair, a Rhodok sellsword, was loud, brash and a heavy drinker as well as the second oldest member of the group. Being 39 with Baldur at 38 and Oleg at 42. The self-proclaimed best sharpshooter in all of Calradia. He wore a green padded armor with a kettle hat for protection and a brown scarf. He wielded a Heavy Crossbow loaded with Steel Bolts and a Great Sword as well as a Board Shield.

A'isha. A young woman that Oleg came upon in one of the towns in the deserts of the Sarranid Sultanate. He watched her kill her would-be rapist, a Sarranid Elite, and take his belongings before pretending to be a man and start her adventure for fame and glory in Calradia. Oleg gave her a better offer among the ranks of the Skjaldfélagar and she accepted.

The Sarranid still used and wore the weapons and armor of the soldier she had killed but did not hide her gender to the world. She, Bhaltair and Batu held contests and challenges to determine who was the greatest archer, crossbowman or skirmisher. It was always a source of entertainment for the Skjaldfélagar in the great hall of Tevarin Castle. Aside from her Throwing Spears, A'isha wielded a Scimitar, a Two Handed Saber and a Kite Shield. The latter was something Oleg insisted she carry.

The five continued following the path of death and destruction until they reached the center of town where a small band of villagers and scantily clad women that call themselves Dawn Templars were gathered in front of the town hall. Staring in awe and slight fear as Baldur stood over a pile of corpses. His long axe planted firmly on one of the bodies while his hands held his bearded axe and round shield.

Baldur spotted them and put away his weapons before removing the long axe from the corpse and jumped down. He landed on his feet and rested his weapon on his shoulder before letting out a bark of laughter.

"What took you so long?"

Oleg grunted and put away his War Axe before crossing his arms.

"You're not the only one killing bandits in this town, Baldur. What did we miss?"

"Bah. You didn't miss much. Just run off the mill bandits. One of them Dawn Templars paid me to help clear the town of them. What about you?"

"We came looking for you after these bastards came pouring in. We found the place we left you sacked and followed the bodies. I know your handiwork when I see it. At least you're getting paid." The older man grumbled.

"The Templar said her captain will pay us for our effort. Maybe even the mayor and the town too. She already paid upfront." Baldur gestured at the coin purse on his belt "We'll split the reward money later. Tell the others."

Oleg grinned and the two shook forearms before the Vaegir turned to the others and told them about the job of driving the bandits out of town. The others saw nothing wrong with that. Seeing it as a quick way to earn money in this new land they found themselves in.

While exploring the town, Bhaltair went to the tavern and won a drinking game. Earning them a few coins and they used said coins to buy maps and found that they were in a land called Eostia. Somewhere in the southern part of the Principauté de Ken or Principality of Ken. They didn't really care about where they are and were more concerned about making money as mercenaries as well as finding suitable candidates to join the Skjaldfélagar.

Batu heard something behind them and looked over his shoulder to see bandits in the distance. Not a few stragglers that they had fought across town. This group was much larger. Perhaps even the entire bandit horde that invaded the town.

Baldur and the rest of the Skjaldfélagar noticed them as well and the Nord walked to the front of his company just as the large group of bandits stopped a few meters away.

"A'isha, spear." Baldur ordered.

The Sarranid wordlessly threw a spear at the Nord who caught it with ease before hurling it at the bandits and impaling the one in the front in the chest.

The bandit fell to his knees and limped while the rest of them stared at the now unmoving body of their fellow brigand before looking at Baldur who raised his weapon over his head.

"TÝR!!"

The Nord's booming voice cut through the air and silence like a hot Swadian knife through butter.

This was followed by Oleg's thundering war cry and the Skjaldfélagar ran towards the bandits. Uncaring if they were outnumbered. Baldur, Bhaltair, Isolla and Oleg were at the front of the charge while Batu and A'isha were shooting arrows and hurling spears from behind the four.

Baldur reached the bandits first and bashed his shoulder against one bandit and knocked him to the ground before swinging his long axe upwards and struck the man in the groin. He quickly pulled his weapon free and kicked the man to the ground before bringing his axe down on his head.

Isolla crashed into a bandit and sent the both of them to the ground with her pinning him down with her heater shield. She quickly stabbed the man in the neck with her blade before removing herself from the body.

Two bandits moved to stab her while she was getting up but an arrow struck the back of the head on the one on the left while the other was impaled through the back by a spear. Both bandits fell dead by Isolla's feet and the Swadian nodded to Batu and A'isha before moving on to her next opponent.

A bandit screamed only to be cut off as Oleg buried his War Axe in the man's neck and proceeded to spin him around before flinging the corpse into another bandit. Oleg turned to face a third bandit and let out a roar as he swung his War Axe and severed the man's arm below the elbow. The Vaegir punched the man in the abdomen then brought his weapon down and chopped the bandit's head off.

Bhaltair roared as he brought his Great Sword down on a bandit who was on the ground. He then threw a mighty swing that beheaded a second bandit without much effort. The man's head flying off his body and hitting another on the back. Causing the Rhodok to laugh before taking out his Heavy Crossbow and quickly loaded a Steel Bolt then shooting a bandit in the head.

Back at the town hall, the armed townsfolk and handful of Dawn Templars watched with wide eyes as the Skjaldfélagr fight off the bandits despite being outnumbered. One by one, the bandits fell to their blades and arrows.

Estelle watched as Baldur finished off a bandit and reach for a severed head on the ground before raising it high in the air just as lightning flashed in the night sky followed by the deafening roar of thunder. Baldur's words were carried by the wind as he yelled at the top of his lungs and the bandits trembled in their boots.

"ODIN OWNS YOU ALL!!"

Only one thought passed through Estelle's mind as she watched the Skjaldfélagar descend upon the bandits and mercilessly cut them down.

'Who the hell are these people?'

AN: I've been playing MB: Warband a little too much. God. I feel like I just stopped getting addicted to Wild Rift then I get to play this little treasure of a game again and now I can't stop. BTW. Baldur, Oleg, Bhaltair, Batu, William and A'isha are my player characters for Nords, Vaegirs, Rhodoks, Khergits, Swadians and Sarranids respectively. Also, the Skjaldfélagr's banner is basically the Skolderbrotva's from Bannerlord. They're not the new Skolderbrotva. They just used the banner for their own.
