After my miraculously recovery from the apparently unavoidable impalation, Jean left probably to where Magneto was, immediately after that, Scott got in my face, demanding to know what I knew, and why I had considered killing Jean.
"Tell me!" Scott screamed, his face red in anger as he did so.
"There is nothing to tell," I answered with a sigh, glaring at him, "Keep bothering me though, and I will have a reason to beat you up."
Scott growled, moving his hand to his visor, but before he did so, Beast stopped him, "Scott, that's enough…" Beast ordered, making the annoying brat to step back.
"I understand Scott can be a bit too much, but we need to know what you know," Raven who was standing behind me said, her arms crossed as she took a seat on the debris around.
"It wouldn't change a thing, it never mattered what I knew," I sighed, running my hands through my hair as I did so. "What Jean is becoming, is beyond our comprehension…"
Ororo flew into the house through the hole my landing had done, and looking into my eyes said, "You're afraid… you were also afraid in the ship about something, you knew this was gonna happen."
I looked at her, surprised she made that connection, "I had an idea of what was gonna happen," I nodded.
"You bastard!" Scott roared, punching me in the face, but as he did so, I grabbed his arm, and with a twist pushed him to the ground where I slammed my knee into his back, dislocating it.
"Punch me again, and Charles will need to lend you a wheelchair," I spat. "Or even better maybe you two can share one,"
"Enough!" Charles shouted as I rolled my eyes.
Taking a deep breath, I pondered over my options as Charles with the help of Kurt teleported to where we were, my options were keeping them in the dark, or telling them, both paths had their consequences, one would change a lot of how things would play out, or maybe it wouldn't the other, would keep things the same way or at least similar to how I knew them, you know what? Fuck it, "I will tell you guys what little I know, but know this… nothing I say will change or help Jean, only Jean can help herself." I sighed, as I released Scott from my hold, who was in pain.
Charles looked at me surprised, "Perhaps that's just how you see it…" what a fool, if only he knew, well, he will, oh well, as soon as this shit ends, I will leave, that fucker won't see me ever again after this.
"Jean has always been a powerful mutant, we all know that," I started getting a few nods from the people around, "The thing you guys don't know about is that… she's more than that, by a wide margin, you see… our universe is big, very big… and some individuals are entities beyond our comprehension, beyond our power to stop…"
"What does this stupid fairy tail have to do with Jean?" Scott growled his dislocated arm swinging like a hose, god I hate this guy.
"Everything," I chuckled, "I don't know since when, but Jean is connected to one of this entities many call Gods…"
"Is this why she's acting like this?" Charles asked, interested in what I was saying.
"I can't really tell," I sighed, "This entity is powerful, very powerful, and it's connected to Jean, and Jean alone, as we speak… her strength is rising, and at one point she will have the power to end worlds with a snap of her fingers… that's how powerful her connection to the Phoenix Force is…"
"Phoenix Force?" Raven muttered.
"Yes, I can't say for sure, but the Phoenix Force was born at the dawn of the universe, hence why many call this entity the child of the universe, it's older than our entire solar system, and more powerful than any of you can imagine… and it's also the reason Jean is alive," I said, taking a seat on the ground.
"What do you mean?" Beast inquired.
"Well, without her connection to the Phoenix Force, she would've died in that mission we took," or against Apocalypse, "The Phoenix Force is immortal, and for the most part, so are it's hosts."
"Hosts?" Ororo said, tilting her head.
"Yes, from what I know, the Phoenix Force is a multiversal singularity," I nodded, "Do you know what that means?"
Before she could reply, Beast interjected, "It means, this entity you speak of exists in every possible universe… right?"
"Yes," I nodded, "But in every universe this entity is the same, for there is only one Phoenix Force, but many hosts,"
"How do you know all this?" Charles muttered.
"I.. have my ways, but enough about that," I sighed, "Jean's connection to the Phoenix Force entered a changing point during that mission, and now…. There is no stopping her…"
"Is there a way to… break her connection to this… entity?" Scott asked, hmm, I didn't think he would believe me.
"No that I know of, you have to understand… we can't stop the Phoenix Force, it's power would wipe not only us, but every living being on this planet without batting an eye, Jean… in a way, is the only thing between us and extinction," I answered.
"Is this why you wanted to kill her?" Pietro, who I hadn't noticed was behind me, asked.
"Yes, and no… I thought for a brief moment… on the possibility of…" I struggled to find the words.
"Of eliminating the threat before it was too powerful to handle…" Raven however found them. "You and Erik would be great friends..." why do they keep comparing me to Magneto!
"Yes… look, I don't have anything against any of you… well, I do now against Charles, and Scott, but that's because they are big bitches, but against the rest, nothing… but… I am a father, no by choice, but by the circumstances that led me to Emily… and… well, I had to consider every possible choice," I sighed, "I mean, realistically speaking Scott, if the only way to save Jean was to kill me, would you do it?"
Scott looked at me, and with a sigh answered, "Yes, without a question."
"Then you can understand my reasoning," I chuckled.
"I can understand… but no killing, or I will tell Emily you have been a bad daddy," Ororo smirked.
"As if I could, I would have better luck trying to kill magneto with a metal knife than Jean at all," I snorted.

After my little reveal to the X-Men about Jean's situation we took the X-Jet and regrouped on the X-Mansion, where we started to plan and discuss the situation in more depth.
"She almost killed Raven!" Hank shouted, slamming his furry fist against the wall, "had it not been for him," he pointed at me, "the one impaled would've been Raven…" he almost whispered the last part, scared to even speak of that possibility out loud.
"Yet, she didn't." Charles replied, looking at Hank, "Jean knew what she was doing to some extent," at this I raised my hand.
"Yeah, no… he's right… had it not been for me, Raven would've turned into a mutant souvlaki," I stated, "Look, the only reason she wasn't impaled it because I used my body as a shield, and my telekinesis to protect her body, had I not do that, we both would've ended as a well… a mutant rich filled with nutrients souvlaki."
"Is this all a joke to you?" Scott growled his arm now better thanks to Beast.
"Not really, but what else am I supposed to do? Cry?" I rolled my eyes.
"Jean would've never killed Raven," Charles said, his tone firm.
"Not on purpose, but… she's not doing anything on purpose anymore, is she?" Professor my ass, this guy has to be on the top ten more stupid people I have meet.
"Let's stop fighting for a moment, and think about how we can help Jean," Raven, who had remained silent until now, decided to interject.
"Is there any other place she would go in a time like this?" I asked.
"Not that we know of…" Ororo muttered.
"Any mutant friendly places she could hide?" I knew where she was, I just didn't want to have any more flags above my head, they were already questioning how the fuck did I know about the Phoenix Force, the last thing I want is to give the bald bastard a new reason to try and mind * me.
"She… could be with Erik," Raven mumbled in realization, her eyes wide at this.
Finally, someone got the bait I put out there, "That seems plausible." I nodded, a smile on my face.
"You knew that…" Charles muttered, "You knew about Jean's condition, you knew about… her possible location…" was… was he reading my surface thoughts again, THAT'S FUCKING IT!
"That's it, I am done with your self righteous bullshit," I growled slamming my fist into the table breaking it in half as I pushed the professor of his chair with my telekinesis, "I am gone, I will fix things my way."
"You're not going not anywhere," Scott threatened, his right hand on his visor, ready to blast me at any given moment.
"Go ahead, take the shot, I guarantee you… it will be the last," This entire place was a lie, a house of cards to stroke Charles's ego, and I was tired of his bullshit, as I was with Scott's.
"Why are none of you bothered by this?" Charles inquired from the floor, turning to Raven and then Hank, "He knows more… and he refuses to tell us…"
"I know things, many awful things," I admitted with a bitter laugh, "But what I know about Jean, I already shared with all of you, but yes, I thought for a moment she was with Erik, based on your history with the guy, but I wasn't sure," this was also true, with the change of the timeline as it is now, I wasn't sure she had a reason to go with Magneto of all people, all I knew is that this was still a possibility, nothing more. "But frankly, I am tired of this bullshit with you Charles, you talk about morality, about how we have to be accepted, about how we must follow the rules, yet when the situation for you to be everything you supposedly stand against arises… you don't hesitate to take it… I mean Charles, is it morality okay to violate my mind just because you think I have information that could help Jean? If I had any I WOULD SHARE IT, NOT BECAUSE I CARE FOR HER, I DON'T GIVE A FUCK ABOUT HER, BUT BECAUSE I CARE FOR EMILY!!" I roared at the end.
"Alex…" Ororo sighed, her hand on my shoulder for support.
"Well, I said what I had to say, and now I am gone," I waved at them, giving the bird to Scott and Charles as I started to walk out of the office.
"I said don't--" Laser boy didn't get to finish, as I slapped him with enough strength to double him over, forcing him to spit a teeth.
"Please… don't leave…." Raven said, intercepting me at the exit.
"I won't stay and help while that guy," I pointed at Charles, "Reads my mind like a fucking newspaper… surface thoughts or not, they are my thoughts! He has no right to read them without permission."
"He won't do that again," Raven promised, "Isn't that right Charles?"
Charles sighed, looking exasperated, angry even at what Raven was asking him. "I suppose I can agree to that…" as if I was going to believe that.
"Agree?" I laughed, "You don't have a choice, because believe, next time you forcibly read my mind in the idiotic idea I know something that can magically fix Jean, well… let's just say I will push your wheelchair down the Niesen Mountain stairs… and we'll see how good you do then…" I smiled. "And regardless of that… I am done with this… I will help, but far away from this worm."
"None of that," Raven frowned, "I know he does stupid things, believe me, I know, but… this… macho thing of threatening others, it has to stop."
"It's not a threat Raven, it's a promise, I meant every word I said, and I know you guys will protect him… but I will still do it if he does this shit again, heck… just this once, read my mind charles, and see how determined I am…" I smiled at him.
"I… anyways, we must contact Erik," Hank said, breaking the conversation.
"You guys do that, I will do something else on my part," I informed them.
"What?" Ororo asked.
"Well, a power this big… is bound to have idiots trying to control it… idiots I need to assess," I answered.
"Do you think someone is hunting Jean?" Charles asked, worry settling on his face.
"Yep," I nodded, walking out of the room.

--
I walked out the X-Mansion with one goal in hand, to find Magneto, yes I had told the others I would go and see if someone was hunting Jean's power, but that was all a lie, I already knew who was hunting Jean, the D'Bari, an alien race I didn't know much about, what can I say, I was Marvel Fan, but not one to know it all.
All I knew about the D'Bari was that they were shapeshifters and that they could not be affected by telepathy, beyond that, I was on the blind about them.
Anywho, my real mission was enlisting Magneto, because if the movie was anything to go by, the D'Bari were naturally stronger than me, at least their leader, Vuk, and with Charles being as useless as an ass flavored lollipop against them, I needed the next best heavy weight, aka Magneto.
Which would be relatively easy considering I had stolen the information about where he was from Beast's computer, the man has five college degrees and still uses the most basic password ever, the name of the one he loves, Ravenxbeast123. I mean, really… It's like he was asking to be hacked, which I did.
Back to the subject at hand, after getting the information I required to find Magneto, I hijacked a private jet near the airport and flew towards the location I had, where supposedly Magneto was.
Upon arrival, I was greeted by the community of mutants in a rather aggressive tone, some ran, others were ready to find. "I come in peace," hehehe, I always wanted to say that.
"Who are you?" I looked at who had asked that and smiled, [Ariki LV 68]
"My name is Alex, and I am a mutant," I replied, still wondering if I truly was a mutant, or that was simply how whoever gave me this power hid it.
"Why are you here?" Ariki asked in a growl, frowning as he did so.
With a smile, I took a step forward and said, "I am here to talk with Erik, it's quite important… it's about his friends…"
Ariki glared at me, his hair twitching. It seemed fighting was unavoidable. "He is not here… leave…"
"So much for a mutant friendly community," I chuckled, taking a deep breath, "Look, you look like a great guy, very responsible too… but I won't leave until I talk with him… once I tell him what I have to tell him… I will leave…" with him if destiny smiles upon me.
"I said--" Before Ariki could finish that sentence, someone stopped him.
"I'll take it from here," It was no other than Erik, the master of magnetism himself. [Erik Lehnsherr - Magneto LV 170]
Glaring at me a last time, Ariki nodded, leaving Erik as he approached me. With a smile, I waved at him and said, "My name is Alex, and I need to talk to you about something rather important.."
Erik looked at me, as if pondering about whether to force me to leave or to hear me out. "Fine, you have five minutes, and then you leave… we don't have the authorities coming here for you and that stolen Jet…"
Five minutes… pff, all I need is ten seconds, "Ok, I will give you the short version, Charles is an idiot, Raven almost died, Jean became the host of a powerful entity, and now we are at the brink of extinction, either by Jean losing control of her new found enormous power, or by those who are hunting said power for themselves, the D'Bari who may or may not be able to control the power, I can't really tell…"
Erik stared at me, unmoving, processing all the information I had thrown at him, and for a moment I wondered if I had broken the man, "I… Raven almost died?" oh good, he's still with us.
"Yes, Jean almost killed her, but I saved her… got impaled in the process, but I heal fast," I nodded.
Erik once again seemed at a loss for words, "What did Charles do?"
"About Jean?" I asked and he nodded.
"Well, he tried to stop her with his powers… but she's beyond his telepathy," I sighed, "I'm surprised you are not questioning the validity of my information…"
"I know a liar when I see it… and you are not lying," Erik sighed, "I take it you came here for my help… and I can't see why, Charles once again has lost control over the situation…"
"That's… about right," I nodded.
"To think… she would… I… Raven," Erik sighed, unable to complete any of his words.
"Look, I'll be honest… with Charles being nothing but a cripple in this fight, I need you, we have to stop Jean from losing control of her powers and the D'Bari from using her powers to their advantage…" I sighed.
"Who the fuck are the D'Bari," Erik asked.
"All I know is… they are from outer space, and their planet was destroyed by the very force Jean now holds within her," I answered.
"Very well," Erik nodded, filled with resolve, as a helmet flew towards him at great speed. "We have a brat to stop… and a world to save… let's go…" Well that was easy.
"Well, the Jet is that way," I pointed with a smile.
"Ariki!" Erik called.
"Yes?" Ariki answered, coming out of the bushes.
"Come, we are leaving," Erik ordered.
"I heard what he said… and if this is true… he has my support," Well, who would've thought dealing with ex-terrorists would be easier than dealing with Charles.
"I have a question," Erik turned to look at me, "Why are you angry with Charles?"
"Is it that obvious?" I asked, and he nodded. "Well, he forced himself into my mind, and while he didn't see much, well… it was a violation of all trust, also… he seems to think I know a way to magically fix Jean, all I knew about her and her power I already shared…"
Erik chuckled, "That's why I use this helmet," he pointed at his helmet, "Charles is a good guy, but… well, sometimes he forgets that…"
"I suppose," I shrugged, walking towards the stolen Jet.

Convincing Magneto was surprisingly easy, barely an inconvenience, the guy believed what I said right from the bat, no doubts at all, which was refreshing and relieving for I had no idea how to convince him otherwise, what really didn't make any sense was why Akiri was coming, I mean, no offense, but what will hair do against… Well, everything right now.
Beyond that, I couldn't help but wonder how the events coming would play out, after all, timeline wise things were out of control, I mean.. It was more than obvious Jean didn't come to Erik this time, he had confirmed so himself, meaning I had no idea where she actually was at this point, in the movie originally she went to Erik after killing Raven, a bold move if you ask me, then to the streets or a bar… where she meet Vuk the leader of the The D'Bari, in all honesty, I didn't know what would happen now, and I only hoped The D'Bari hold on her wasn't that strong... otherwise this mission would be a bit too out of my depth.
"This.. power she acquired, can it be controlled?" Erik asked, as I flew the Jet.
"No idea," I answered, sighing at my lack of knowledge about the Phoenix Force, "All I know… is that each passing second, Jean is one step closer to… well, Godhood…" and our extinction… one step closer for both if she didn't let go of her darkest emotions.
"And we are one step closer to our extinction," Erik said, his eyes fixed on the wall of the Jet.
"Yes," I nodded, "But.. there is a possibility she learns to control it, and doesn't kill us…" like in the movie, though in the movie she ascends to a higher plane, but… that's still better than total annihilation.
"A possibility I won't take," Erik replied, his tone firm and cold. I could already tell what he was thinking, he wanted to kill her.
"Not to burst your bubble, but you won't be able to kill her," I snorted, getting a glare from Ariki. "Look, I would have a better chance of killing you with a metal knife than you killing her… she's basically immortal at this point… the ones we have to kill are The D'Bari, those bastards are within our power reach."
Erik chuckled, "You would have zero chance of killing me with a metal knife,"
"Yes, but that's still a million times better than my chances with Jean O'nuke…" I rolled my eyes.
"So… The D'Bari?" Erik sighed, and I nodded. "Will killing them stop our possible extinction?"
"It would… Jean, while unstable, doesn't really want to kill us, had she really wanted that… she would have snapped my neck with a simple move of her hand, during our last fight... Her powers are simply out of control… now, The D'Bari… they want to kill all life on earth to colonize it, using Jean's powers to do so." I sighed, "So… yes, killing them would save us, and the rest is up to Jean,"
"I see," Erik said, "One question… Why did you fight with Scott again?"
"In order or the most prominent one?" I asked with a chuckle.
"In… what?" Erik chuckled.
"Well, I guess in order it is," I chuckled back, "First he didn't want to host my baby girl on the X-Mansion…"
"Why are you leaving your daughter there?" Erik inquired, his interest piqued.
"I… I suppose I can tell you," I sighed, realizing that if anyone could understand my situation, it was him. "I was a normal guy not so long ago, heck I didn't even have a daughter, but then… Hydra happened,"
Erik tensed, his eyes flashing with anger, "I know of them…"
"Yep," I nodded, "They kidnapped me… you know, cuss of my powers, then they started to try and break me… you know the basic, physical torture and stuff, spoiler alert, it didn't work out as they intended… so they resorted to other methods,"
"Your daughter," Erik growled.
"Yep, they assigned Emily to me, with the following information and instructions, their entire family was dead… and I was now her family, they… appealed to my emotions, and it worked…" Remembering those times, it really hurt… "My new living conditions were rather straight, disobey, she explodes, don't perform as expected… she explodes… talk back to us… and well… you know,"
"And you left her with Charles… so that you could hunt them down… right?" Erik said, and I had to admit, the guy was connecting the door beautifully.
"Yes, and no," I replied, "My plan was to train my powers to be strong enough to wipe them off the earth…"
"After this… if you need a hand, count on me…" Erik said after a while.
"I know you are out of this… killing business, I don't want to be the reason why you go back to it," I replied with a smile on my face.
"This is beyond that… Hydra kidnaps our kind, experiments on them… and everyone hates them, no one will care about their deaths…" Erik stated, and he had a point.
"You know what sure, I might need you for a raid or two," Especially against Bucky, and his metal arm, hehe.
"Is… Emily… like us?" Ariki asked, and boy did he startle me, I had completely forgotten he was with us, he must be a close relative to Drax.
"Not to my knowledge," I answered, "But… knowing Hydra… perhaps they had a plan for Emily when she got older, maybe she does have a mutation, or maybe she's just what she is, I don't care… I love her anyways,"
"Even after you were forced to take care of her?" Ariki asked.
"I do, I… at first I didn't know what to think, or how to handle the situation, but with time, I accepted I was… a father now, not by choice but by the circumstances of… my life," I answered.
"I see now why Scott hates you, you wanted to kill Jean… and he found out," Erik chuckled, and I'll be honest, I had completely forgotten that was the main point of our conversation.
"Yes… I mean, when she was at her weakest, it was the most logical choice, or at least the one with less shit on the way…" I sighed.
"Eliminating the threat before it becomes one… I can understand that," Erik nodded.
"We're here," Ariki said, pointing at the GPS.
"Then let's say hi…" I chuckled, readying for combat… or should I say kombat at this point.

We arrived at where Magneto's source had seen Jean, and immediately I summoned my dagger from the inventory. Around, the air was cold, winter-like almost, with a chill that permeated the air in a grim tone, sending shivers down everyone's spine. The streets were busy as always, but even then, they were abnormally silent, as if sound itself knew what was about to happen.
"Erik, you don't have to do this…" I heard Raven say, as she came into view, "We don't have to hurt her…"
Magneto looked at her, amused, "I am not here to hurt her Raven, but to ensure she doesn't bring forth the end of our time,"
"You recruited him?" Scott hissed.
"With Charles not being able to do anything, he is the best... I mean, what is Charles supposed to do? Roll over them with his wheelchair until they surrender?" I rolled my eyes.
"Who are you talking about?" Charles, who was just now coming into view asked.
"The aliens that want to use Jean for their nefarious purposes," I replied.
"Charles… Now step aside, and let us deal with this," Erik said, floating towards where Jean was.
"If Jean is being used, we must save her…" Beast said, as I walked besides Magneto.
"Ready?" Erik asked.
"Yep," I nodded.
With a move of his hand, the doors of the house opened wide, as he floated inside the apartment. "Jean," Erik called.
"Erik," Jean greeted, her tone unusually cold. [Jean Grey LV 291]
"Hi," I waved at her, getting only a cold glance from her part, "Fair enough,"
"You fear me… everyone does…" Jean said, walking towards Magneto, as Vuk came into view, walking behind her. [Vuk LV 147]
"They fear what they don't understand," Vuk whispered into her ear, "They fear progress, they fear what you are capable of… and want to suppress you, like Charles did… like he wanted to do," at the end he pointed at me.
"And you want to use her power to rebuild your extinct race here on earth…" I shot back, getting a surprised glare from Vuk, "Yes, I know… I know how you are manipulating her… and how you plan to steal her power, to kill all life on this planet, and… then terraform it to revive your race…"
"Jones," Vuk's face was blank, unexpressive, and even then I knew she was angry, that much I could tell.
"Yes?" Jones the other D'Bari in charge came into view, [Gvyn LV 95]
"Deal with him," Vuk ordered, and Jones or rather Gvyn nodded.
A ninety five, well… ain't this gonna be hard, "Let's go Gvyn," I winked at the alien, getting once again a surprised look from both D'Bari.
"Jean… would you do the honors?" Vuk smiled as Jean nodded.
"Yes…" Jean muttered, and with a move of her hand, she blasted me out of the building into the park in front of it, all while I heard Gyvn said he would be back.
"Are you okay?" Ororo, who was outside, nearby where I landed, asked.
"Yes, but you should go with Charles and the rest to help them…" I said, grabbing the hand she was offering me.
"Are you ready to die, human?" And there he was... my my personal E.T.
"Who is he?" Ororo asked, her hands charging with lightning.
"My battle," I replied, patting her on the back, "You help them with the others… he's not the only one…"
Concerned, she looked at me, biting her lower lip, "Will you be okay?"
"Yes," I nodded, smiling at her.
"Then kick his ass!" Ororo smiled, flying into the house, leaving me alone with Gvyn.
"You are a fool…" Gvyn started, "A fool I have to eliminate…"
"E.T." I boomed at my foe, interrupting him, "Let's save the monologues… and end this? Shall we?"
"You are right…. Talking with you is a waste of my time, but still… I can't help but wonder why do you know so much about our plans..." The Alien replied "I suppose I will find out when I break you down...humans tend to be honest when they scream in pain..."
I snorted, almost chuckling at the Alien's bravado. Yes it was true he was more than a few levels ahead of me, but I had experience, if Hydra had taught me something, it was how to kill people stronger than me, let's see how it applies to Aliens, "Very well then," I chuckled, "Shall we?"
Suddenly, the Alien moved, quickly closing the gap between us, darting at me like a predator to its prey, sending a punch to my chest. He was surprisingly slower than me, and that was something I was going to exploit. With a smile I caught the Alien's punch as it arrived, throwing him into the ground.
But as he landed on the ground, he threw me against a tree with a telekinetic push, enough to lift my body from the ground, but not enough to hold me down for long.
"After Jean, your telekinesis feels like a party trick," I chuckled, as both I and him circled one another, inspecting each other out, trying to find a way to end this.
"Then… I'll kill you with my bare hands," Transforming his hand into a sword like appendage, he took a step forward.
"Ok," I sighed, dagger at hand, while summoning my gun from my inventory, to add some range to my situation.
"Die…" Gvyn hissed, swinging his arm around. At the predictability of his attack, I ducked under the blade, shooting at him a few times. The bullets seemed to hurt him, but HP wise didn't do much, one round of six bullets had barely taken 1% of his HP.
"Your human weapons are useless," Gvyn hissed, swinging his arm in a horizontal manner, to which I once again dodged, jumping to the side.
"How about this then?" I smiled, blasting him with a mana arrow at point blank range.
This time, the attack had actually done some damage, and Gvyn was furious at that, "I will end you…" faster than I could react, he pulled me closer with his telekinetic push, and pierced me with his sword-like arm.
Understandably, I roared in pain. Streams of blood dripping from my wound. "I AM TIRED OF BEING IMPALED!" I roared, this time in anger, breaking his sword like arm in two with a focused strike.
"Blunt attacks of this caliber will never work on me. Give up now, accept death…" Gvyn stated, his arm already back in one piece.
Grabbing a pot from my inventory to heal the damage I had received, I growled, give up? Accept death, fuck that, I had no intention of quitting. "You are clearly stronger than me, but I am more flexible…" I declared, jumping into the air with my telekinesis, charging as much mana as I could in my hands, I wanted to blast him with a powerful mana arrow, and keep doing that while I levitated above his range, but something else happened. Just as I was about to blast the bastard for impaling me, my skill evolved, apparently overcharging the skill with mana had created a new version of it.
[A current skill has evolved thanks to an specific action]
[Mana Arrow LV 24 Mana Arrows LV 25]
[Mana Arrows - LV 25 = Focusing your energy, you fire between one and six mana arrows at your enemies. Cost 380 MP x Arrow, Cost = 380MP - 2280MP. Damage based on INT and level of skill * 1.5 * # of arrows. Damage = INT * skill level = (165 * 25) * 1.5 * # of arrows = 6187.5 - 37125]
"Hahahahahahahah, yes!" I roared, this time in delight, I loved my power... especially now that I was blasting my six arrows at the alien, whose eyes widened in shock.
His HP already on the 80% he stood up, growling. "I will end you!"
Smiling, and looking at my mana, I got into position…. Already making calculation's how much damage I would have to deal before killing him. "Bring it on, E.T!"

The battle continued, and with each passing second the difference between our strengths became more and more clear, the Alien was stronger, more resistant and in general more powerful. But I didn't have to beat him, I only had to kill him, I know that many people think that these two things are the same, but they couldn't be more wrong, Hydra had taught me that, and for a moment I had forgotten it, maybe because I was playing with the heroes, or maybe because I was having fun, but not anymore.
"You are getting tired human," The D'Bari commented, his arm twitching in excitement, he wanted to kill me. "This ends now.."
"I am," I admitted, mana wise, I was spent, and the battle had only lasted a few minutes or so.
I looked at him, a cold smile on my face as I took a mana potion.
The alien hissed, sprinting towards me as I looked around, cars, trees, civilians, few options, but I really only needed one to work. With a quick sigh, I shot a mana arrow into the ground, momentarily creating a curtain of smoke which I used to dodge him, as I ran towards the freeway.
"You will not escape!" Gvyn howled in pure rage, running after me, just as I wanted.
With a grin, I looked at the cars stopped in the middle of the road, spotting one with no one inside, happily, I aimed at the car smashing the door with a mana bolt. Once near the car, I slid through the door using my telekinesis to increase my speed, once on the other side I turned around without stopping and while Gvyn jumped over the car to catch up with me, I pointed at the gas tank with my hands, and with a last grin, I shot a mana bolt at the tank, exploding the car and along with it, Gvyn.
The explosion was brief but strong, sending me hurtling into the wall of a building nearby, but unlike Gvyn, my injuries were minor, and treatable, he... Well, someone would have to scoop up what was left of him with a spoon.
[YOU HAVE LEVEL UP!~]
[YOU HAVE LEVEL UP!~]
Two levels, neat. "I wonder if Charles and Erik managed to convince Jean…" I wondered out loud, as I summoned a few of my HP pots to heal the damage I had sustained during this battle.
"Alex!" That voice, Ororo.
"Hey," I waved at her, drinking the last pot I needed to refill my HP.
"Are you okay?" Ororo asked.
"I am, soo… where is Jean?" I asked.
"HANDS OF THE GROUND!" Fuck my life… the military is here.
--
With barely no MP, and Ororo tired as she was, we surrendered to the military. The only reason I had complied was because it would give me the time to regen my mana, and regroup with the rest. I had first hand tried the mutant collars before, they didn't work on me.
Anyway, after they "captured us" we were taken into a train.
"This is all my fault," Charles started.
"Not all, but around twenty five percent, the rest is the cosmic force inside Jean," I chuckled, getting a glare from one of the men that were supposed to keep an eye on us.
"Silence!" The man glared at me, and I rolled my eyes at him. In a minute or so, I would have my mana back to full, and would be ready to kick some ass. "You disgust me…"
"I suppose, but still.. I should never have lied to her, I messed with her mind, like I tried to do with yours…" Was… Charles apologizing?
"Well, I guess you learned something with this," I muttered.
"I guess he did," Erik chuckled.
"Now… we have to fix this," Raven muttered.
"I said shut up!" The man hit me with his gun.
"Bitch, they are the ones talking, hit them!" I chuckled, the attack hadn't hurt, it was more like a love tap at much, but still, why the fuck had he hit me.
"I know this might be… a long shot, but do you know anything else you haven't told us?" Charles asked, and I sighed.
"No," I shook my head.
"One more word out of any of you, and I will beat him up!" the man growled, pointing at me.
"Sorry," Ororo muttered, which in turn made the man start to hit me like a mad man with his gun like a bat.
"Ok, that's it!" I hissed, breaking the collar of my neck with my telekinesis, as I grabbed the man by the chest, "What is your problem with me? They misbehave and I get the beating?!"
"Stand down!" the other men in the room ordered as I used their friend as my shield.
"How about, nope?" I replied, breaking the collar off Erik's neck.
"You could've done that all the time?" Erik asked, slamming the armed men on the walls of the train as he looked at me, breaking the collars off everyone's neck.
"I could've… but I was considerably tired, and was waiting for my energy to refill," I answered.
"I could kiss you right now!" Scott cheered happily.
"No homo?" I asked, but he didn't reply. "Say no homo!"
"No homo?" Scott muttered.
"Good, we good," I sighed.
"How come the collars didn't work on… you know what, I am done asking questions, let's go and save Jean," Charles said.
"The D'Bari are coming," I said, looking at my minimap.
"We'll deal with them," Erik declared, patting me on the back, "Charles, Scott… Raven, wake up the little nuclear bomb…"
"Watch it!" Scott hissed.
"He's not wrong though," I chuckled, as the three Erik mentioned went towards Jean.
"So.. how hard are these guys to kill?" Erik asked.
"Hmm, harder than a human being, but not so much, the only one that I would be careful of is the blonde one," for she might or might not have part of the Phoenix Force within her.
"Blonde one bad, the rest cannon fodder, understood," Erik nodded.

I waited with Erik, Beast and Ororo for the D'Bari to breach the train, all while Scott and Charles made their way to Jean's. "They are here," I announced, seeing them on the minimap, already on the train.
"Let's give them hell," Magneto grinned, blasting the train door open, killing one of the D'Bari while doing so.
[Arnka - D'Bari LV 40, [Romk - D'Bari LV 47, [Oprkio - D'Bari LV 39]
I eyed the D'Bari that entered the train and laughed, they were all weaker than me, I kinda expected them to be stronger, like Gvyn, he was thirty levels ahead of me.
"What's so funny?" Beast asked.
"Nothing," I chuckled as I drew my dagger from my inventory, rushing at the aliens ahead. With a grin, I ran towards the aliens charging my dagger with a focused strike, and using my telekinesis I pulled one towards me driving the power charged dagger into his skull, which caused his head to explode, killing him.
I then spun with my dagger in hand, cutting the two remaining aliens while dodging their attacks, and as they regenerated, I aimed at them with my hands and fired a couple of mana arrows blowing their heads off.
"I'll take the roof!" Ororo stated, flying onto the roof of the train through a hole Magneto had made.
"Hank, help her! Alex and I will take care of the bottom," Erik said with utmost confidence in our abilities.
Nodding, Hank jumped behind Ororo, leaving me and Erik alone, as more and more aliens entered the train.
"I'll be honest with you, I didn't know there were that many," I said, counting the D'Bari, who numbered in the dozens.
"Soon, they'll be extinct," Erik grinned, levitating all the weapons of the soldiers he had knocked out with his magnetism, aiming them at the aliens.
"Okay... just don't shoot me," I muttered, looking at the guns hovering in the air.
"I won't…" Erik replied, but then added, "Maybe…" in a barely audible tone.
"I heard that!" I chuckled, blasting the aliens off the train with multiple mana bolts.
--
[Charles POV]
With the help of everyone, Scott and I reached Jean without any problems, but even then Jean was unresponsive laying on the table as the battle for her life raged on, whoever these Aliens were, they wanted Jean's power, they wanted her, and that didn't necessarily mean they wanted her alive.
"Scott, guard the door," I said, as I tried to reach into Jean's mind, once again proving futile, this cosmic force she had within her had made her stronger, and beyond power to reach, but what else could I do. "Jean… you need to wake up, we need you…" I begged, cursing my own weakness as I did so. "I know that what I did was wrong, and I deserve no forgiveness, but… you have to believe me, I was only trying to protect you…" by this point, I was forcing myself not to cry, I had hurt her, all of this… could've been avoided if only I cared for her as much as I did for my cause.
"MOTHER FUCKER!!!!" A scream followed by a blur of motion that was Alex being blasted into our cabin was more than enough to tell me our time was coming short.
"Alex?" Scott muttered, as Alex stood up.
"Blast… the… bitch!" Alex gasped, his torso bleeding.
Without hesitation, Scott turned to where Alex had come from, and waited until a figure came out of the dust walking, the woman that had absorbed part of Jean's power.
Growling, Scott moved his hand to his visor, and blasted the woman, who simply continued walking, ignoring his attack. Behind me, Alex stood up, and from thin air summoned a red drink that shimmered under the moonlight, and without a pause, started drinking it.
"Wake her up, or we all die!" Alex growled, going towards the door to help Scott.
Nodding, I turned to Jean, and kept trying to wake her up, I knew I could reach her, maybe not with my powers, but with my words, and feelings.
--
[3 MINUTES EARLIER - Alex POV]
It took us less than three minutes to kill every single D'Bari on the train, it was super easy, barely an inconvenience, most of them were level forty, I alone could've killed them all apparently, save for Vuk and Gvyn who were the exception to this level forty rule.
"That was super easy," I smiled.
"Barely an inconvenience," Erik nodded, "Though, I have still to see the blonde one you spoke of,"
"I… didn't you see her with Jean in the house?" I asked.
"Oh, you mean that woman, oh… ok, I thought you meant blonde blonde, not white haired," Potato potatoes, same shit.
"Well… when she comes, we'll face her together!" Ororo grinned, and as if on cue, a new red mark appeared on my minimap.
"She's here!" I announced, as everyone got into position.
With a thunderous landing on the roof, the white haired bitch, known as Vuk tore through the ceiling of the train with ease, as if it were made out of paper, and while staring at us she said "I don't want to kill you,"
Without giving her time to do anything, I shot six mana arrows at her, but to my sorrow, she didn't even flinch, on the contrary, she absorbed my attack, and redirected it towards me. "Fuck..." was all I could say before my own attack empowered by the phoenix's force threw me through the train's compartments like a rag doll.
"Ok… energy attacks are a no go," I muttered, drinking a HP potion, while Erik, Ororo and the rest attacked her. "Focused strike it is," I sighed, dashing towards her, but before I could reach her, she blasted me once again, this time with her telekinesis with enough strength to make me reach the professor and Scott. "MOTHER FUCKERRRRR!" I screamed, unable to slow my fall, even with my telekinesis.
Gasping in pain, I looked at Scott, and said, "Blast… the… bitch!" I hissed, summoning the last few pots I still had to heal my wounds… all this shit was getting out of control, to the point I wished I was dealing with Hydra instead, humans instead of this. At least I would get to see Scott being blasted by her, so that's a plus.

I watched as Scott attacked with his beam, proving to be useless against the power that Vuk now had, who was now level 201, sighing, and somewhat disappointed that she hadn't blasted Scott with his own power as she had done with me, I ran towards her throwing several focused strikes aimed at her face, but as with everything else so far, Vuk didn't even flinch.
"Your attempts are futile." Vuk sighed, grabbing me by the neck.
"You can't blame me for trying..." I cracked a smile, drawing my pistol from my inventory to shoot her.
"Pathetic..." Vuk muttered, snapping my arms with his telekinesis.
In pain, I fell to the ground, glaring at Vuk in anger.
"Now, die, and be forgotten." Vuk whispered just for me, her hand once again reaching for my neck, but before she could even reach out to touch me, a telekinetic field appeared around me, Jean's voice echoing in my head.
"I will… protect my family," Jean's voice said, a bit of a stretch considering what happened. "And those who stood by them…" ohhh, well, there is my tag.
"Eat a dick, Vuk," I waved at her, or rather tried, my arms were kinda like a pair of loose noodles.
Glaring at Jean, Vuk seemed pissed, and at the same time she seemed helpless, as Jean with a simple move of her wrist sent her flying against the wall like a rag, a nobody, an ant, while at the same time derailed the entire train, and while all of this was happening, I couldn't help but wonder, where was Raven? I mean, last time I saw her, she was with Charles.
As if universe itself has decided answering my question, Raven flew past me, in her own telekinetic bubble, courtesy of Jean.
Taking a deep breath, I let things played out, as Jean continued to levitate us out of the train while destroying the whole thing, tossing the remains of it into a nearby abandoned location, all while carefully lowering us into the ground as she did so.
One on the ground, I took a seat trying to be as comfortable as I could with my broken arms, as I decided to simply observe what Jean would do now, since she was the only one who could finish this fight. Without mana, and without HP potions to use, I would only be in the way, her way, besides, she was now stronger than everyone here put together, she needed no help, maybe the other guys did.
[Jean Grey LV 399]
Vuk, who was the sole survivor of the D'Bari, stepped out of the debris, walking towards Jean, a smile on her face, "You can't control this power... I can... stop fighting for something you will never be able to win."
Jean glared at Vuk, and with an outstretched hand flew up to her, grabbing her by the neck, "You want this power? Take it!" Jean hissed, pumping Vuk with cosmic power.
At this I sighed, in the end, Jean would simply die becoming one with the Phoenix Force.
Cosmic power floating in the air, Vuk began to disintegrate as a field of the same power formed around Jean and Vuk, eating everything in its path.
"You can't kill me... not without killing them!" Vuk smiled, appealing to Jean's humanity.
"Jean you don't have to die... just absorb the power she took from you, and then kill her!" not knowing why I interfered, I shouted, hoping she would hear me.
Jean looked at me with a smile, and without saying anything she turned to look at the others, her gaze stopping on Charles, who looked at her full of pain, shouting, "Jean... NO!"
Smiling, Jean lifted Vuk into the air, flying with her into outer space, where I lost sight of her. "Well so much for saving her…" I sighed, looking into the air, aimlessly until a big explosion came, turning the night into day for a brief moment, leaving the image of a phoenix high in the skies.

--
A few days after Jean's death, or rather ascension into godhood, I went to the X-Mansion to pick Emily up, it was time for me to leave this part of my life. So here I was outside the mansion getting everything ready.
"Leaving so soon?" Ororo asked, as she came into view.
"Yes," I nodded, "I have things to do, and this place is no longer safe." especially considering Charles was closing the X-School, and Raven and Beast were also retiring.
"Here," Ororo sighed, handing me a paper, "It's my number.."
I looked at her, and chuckled, "Are you asking me out?"
"What if I am?" Ororo winked, "I will be traveling back to my hometown, I need to sort some things out, but… when I come back, I would love to… hang out."
"I would love that," I smiled, putting her number on my inventory.
"Be safe!" Ororo smiled.
"I will," I nodded, getting into the car, checking everything was ready.
"Where are we going now?" Emily asked from the back seat, an innocent smile on her face.
"I don't know, but… it will be awesome," I winked.
"Alex Walker I presume?" I heard someone say, as I was talking to Emily.
"Yes?" I turned around to see a man I knew very well.
"My name is Nick Fury, and we need to talk."

--
Nick Fury was many things, but a patient man he was not. And without asking he got in my car when I told him I didn't have time to talk, with a sigh I let him stay while I drove.
"You're a hard man to find... or should I say you were, before you got involved with the X-Men," Fury began.
"What does Shield want with me?" I asked.
"Nothing for now, but... I'd like to know why you attacked an organization like Hydra, aren't you afraid to make them your enemy?" Fury asked, opening a chocolate bar as he did so.
"Personal reasons, among them that they tried to enslave me, and that they tried to hurt Emily," I looked at Emily who was listening to music with the headphones Ororo had bought her.
"They tried?" Fury pressed.
"They kidnapped me, and tried to break me, to mold me into their image, in the end... it was me who broke them, and I plan to drive them to extinction." I elaborated with a determined look.
Fury looked at me, sighing, "I don't know whether to believe you and admire you, or... doubt you."
"Fury, believe what you want, I know what I lived through, and I know what I will do," I replied with a smile.
"I believe you," Fury laughed, "Your gaze is that of a man who has killed, who has bathed in blood, but not that of a liar, in fact you look like a terrible liar."
"What now?" I said.
"Now I offer you a job," Fury replied.
"I'm not interested in being the government's bitch," I laughed.
"Understandable, how about being the part-time bitch?" Fury asked, "A... special agent, to help us wipe Hydra off the face of the earth."
"Fury, Hydra is everywhere, even in Shield." I sighed.
"Rewind motherfucker," Fury exclaimed, "Hydra is where?"
"In Shield, I don't know how deep it is, but they have people in charge, agents watching Shield's every move." I replied.
Fury was quiet for a moment, "Are you sure?"
"Yes," I nodded.
"Motherfuckers!" Fury growled, "Okay, change of plans, work for me."
I looked at him surprised that he had believed me so quickly, "For you?"
"Don't look at me like that, believe me I wish I didn't believe you, but like I told you you're a terrible liar, and you're not lying to me... besides, out of my gut feeling, Shield being contaminated with Hydra would explain why we didn't realize they still existed." Fury explained.
"If I work for you, or rather with you, there are a couple of things and favors you must abide by," I said firmly.
"Which are?" Fury asked.
"No one must know my name, I don't know if Hydra is aware that I'm still alive, but if not... my name would get me hunted, and thus Emily hunted," I replied, "Two, I want you to get me and Emily the citizenship under false names, this goes along with point one, three... I will not be your slave, my mission is to eliminate Hydra, and that I will do... nothing else, unless the world is ending, don't call me. And last but not least... no one must know of our agreement... since I don't know how deep Hydra's corruption is… one of your bosses could be part of them, and send people after me."
"Very well," Fury nodded, "I find that acceptable, now about money…"
"We'll discuss that later," I chuckled.
--
Two hours later, I was Tom Maxwell, an American born and raised in the USA, and Emily was Emily Maxwell my daughter. I didn't want to confuse her with a new name, the new last name was hard enough, though it melted my heart she asked why was our last name Maxwell and not Walker.
Anyway as per our agreement, Fury kept his end of the bargain, telling no one about me, I would know, for no Hydra or Shield agents were around, as for my salary, well, I didn't ask for one, but for a few items, every now and then, guns, knives, swords and more to add to my inventory, money was really not a problem for me, but finding good weapons was.
Anyway, after I settled on New York, I enrolled Emily in a private school, and decided to take a break to analyze in what I wanted to spend my stats points on. After all, once I did, there was no turning back.
--
[Nick Fury POV]
Alex was a strange man, but so was I… I guess the difference between us was the cards the universe had played on us, regardless of that, he knew more than I did, at least when it came to Hydra, and while every spy instinct I had wanted me to not believe him, I did, for every human instinct I had told me to do so.
If he was right, and Hydra was inside SHIELD, then it would all make sense, how they had managed to keep themselves hidden for so long without us noticing, if he wasn't right… Well, the alternative was even scarier, so I didn't want to waste my motherfuckering time on it.
At least for now, I had someone that hated Hydra even more than SHIELD should.
"Fury, have you found out who did this?" Feller asked, and I shook my head.
"No sir… my gut was wrong during this case, whoever did this… is either dead, or hiding very well," I replied.
"I see," Keller sighed, "Any news from the data team?"
I shook my head once more, "They say it would take them a while to recover any data from what we recovered, but we should have something soon."
"Very well, keep an eye on that," Keller ordered, and I nodded.
"As you wish sir," I added before leaving.
"Fury, I heard you had a rough time during your latest investigation," Agent Smith commented.
"I guess everyone gets their one, and this was mine," I replied with a chuckle.

--
After settling in New York in my new cozy apartment, I decided to change a few things in my life for the sake of Emily, I had to be honest, I had been a pretty crappy dad with her, leaving her in places all in the sake of keeping her safe, but what good would that do if she wasn't happy, or rather if I wasn't there, I guess in a way my thirst for vengeance had consumed me more than I thought, if for a moment I thought eliminating Hydra was more important that her, I guess this entire Dark Phoenix scenario had really taught me something.
Seeing Charles and Jean struggle like they did really put things into perspective for me, I needed to be better, not only as a father, but as a warrior.
I knew this would be hard, and that I had much to learn, but I wanted to be part of her life, I wanted to see her grow, and not through the eyes of others.
Hydra would always be a threat, and even if I eliminated their bases, they would inevitably come back, for as long as a single soldier remained, the organization would come back, meaning my hunt would never end.
So with that in mind, I decided to hunt them down at a normal pace, giving Emily more of my time, doing normal stuff, like taking her to school, or buying her ice cream, stuff a dad is supposed to do.
"Can we go to the park?" Emily asked, and I nodded.
"Sure," I smiled, happy with my new resolution.
"Enjoying your dad duties huh?" That voice, Fury…
"Yes," I nodded.
"About Hydra…" Fury began, but I stopped him.
"I will hunt them down, but I need to prepare… think of them as a disease, I can't purge them off the earth as I am now, nor can you, but… we can prepare, grow…. And learn," I said, my eyes on Emily as we crossed the street to the park.
"And how do we do that?" Fury asked.
"By not rushing into things," I replied, "Look… we need more than us to eliminate Hydra, and by us I mean me, you are a normal human, smart, very good at spying, but normal at the end, Hydra is full of people like me,"
"So we need to find more mutants?" Fury sighed.
"Not really, just give me time to prepare, and I will eventually erase them, besides… we are already winning against them, I mean… we know they exist, which means... we know how to act now," I winked.
"I suppose that makes sense, but how the f…" Fury started stopping at the F… aka FUCK word, his eyes on Emily, "How the motherfudgering fudge we'll deal with them inside of shield."
"I will tell you a secret Fury, because I honestly like you," I chuckled, "I can see people's alliances with a simple glance, if you ever need someone to see if someone is working with Hydra, just… ask me, and I will tell you."
"That has to be the most useful power I have ever heard of," Fury whistled in appreciation, "I would kill for that."
"In the meantime, let's pretend we are ignorant and blind, I will play my role as Tom and you play yours as your run of the mill oblivious agent of shield, soon we will kill them right out of this world… soon…" I sighed.
"Well… you are the expert," Fury sighed.
"Can you push me on the swings?" Emily asked as soon as we reached the park.
"Yes," I nodded with a smile.
"Well… I will leave you to enjoy the pleasures of being a single dad, bye!" Fury waved at us as he left.

Builds builds, so many options, and I still couldn't decide, I liked them all, but you know what they say… you either master a path, or master none. I guess if I had to pick a favorite, it would be the warrior path, being able to throw hands with the strongest beings in the universe, magic was good and all, but I had always liked the warrior route a bit more, I mean… in my case, I would still have magic, but it would not be my primary skill.
"Well… it's decided, beefy route, here I go!" I chuckled. Starting to spend my hard earned points.

Already from the get go I felt stronger, like I could break through a wall like it was made out of paper.
Now all I had to do was to get a few skills to go with this, mixing my style a little, maybe a sword, ohh and some armor… maybe a vibranium armor and an adamantium sword, "It's good to dream.." I chuckled, both of those things were extremely hard to find, one was created and the other was protected by Wakanda.
But… not all the Vibranium was in Wakanda… so I at least had a way to find some vibranium, through the sins of another man. "I guess I'm stealing from Ulysses Klaue…" but that for later, I have enough enemies as it is right now, and don't want to add others to the mix, at least not now.
"Can we watch a movie tonight?" Snapping me out of my train of thought, Emily came into the rescue. "I wanted to see Snow White," right, 1992.
"Sure sweety," I nodded.
"Yes!" Emily cheered running into the living room. It could be worse, it could be frozen, thank goodness Frozen still doesn't exist, if I hear…let it go one more time I will kill someone.

[3 MONTHS LATER]
Three months had passed since the events of the Dark Phoenix and things had changed a lot, for one my relationship with Emily had significantly improved with me giving her more of my time, and more than once I would catch her calling me Dad, which was more than enough to completely melt me. Two, I was taking a more passive approach with Hydra, prioritizing the locating of their bases over their destruction, for now, and three, I was farming stats the old fashioned way.
I mean, yes I had picked a physical build instead of a magical one, but that was not to say I could still stack my INT or other stats to improve my general power. You know what they say, no power is bad power.
Also during this time I had decided to become a crafter of sorts, you know, to craft my own items, maybe not on the level Tony would one day do, but enough to make my own shit, I mean, most of what Fury would give me was crap, better than the crap I had yes, but crap nonetheless.
Anyway, with that in mind I had taken up a new hobby, a dad hobby, you know, those hobbies dads do in their garages, I had one now, and it was crafting. Not gonna lie, at times I feel like having this power, classified as the Gamer, was a massive cheat.
I mean, all it took me to master the art of blacksmithing was two months, and a bunch of books and shit, of course, this alone was technically nothing, humans are not the best smiths, not by a long shot, so once I became a master smith by earth standards I had to improvise in order to improve.
"Can we get pizza?" Emily asked from the kitchen, snapping me back to reality, which was now located in my garage.
"We had pizza yesterday, besides there are beans on the fridge, that will suffice for today," I replied, with a chuckle.
"Ok…" Emily muttered, sounding disappointed.
Chuckling at her reaction, I took a deep breath and focused on the task at hand, crafting a new weapon, taking a step into the forge I had installed in my garage, I took an apron and a pair of gloves from my worktable. "Time to see if this works," with a sigh, I took an iron ingot and placed it by the furnace in the forge, letting it heat up while I worked on the mana side of things; you see, I was working on a new crafting way, that would if worked give me stats on the items I crafted, better stats, reason why I was pushing mana into the materials like there was no tomorrow, once done, I turned around to see ingot was sufficiently hot, taking a deep breath I fixed a metal wedge between avil, before using the tongs to take the red hot ingot; then I placed it on the wedge, while praying to the gods, "Please don't break…"
--
Long story short, the thing broke… again, meaning that if I wanted to craft with magic being part of it, I would need to.. One went to Asgard so that I could visit the dwarf that is by no means a dwarf, or… keep trying until it works. "Stupid mana forge, I can craft a AK-47, but I can't craft a knife with mana capabilties," entirly different crafting skill, I had aslo learned how to craft weapons, but wasn't into that as much as I was into crafting swords, and stuff, what can I say, it had… a novelty to it.
"Can we watch Snow white?" Emily asked from the living room, as I internally groaned, of all the movies she could've possibly fallen in love with, she did with one of the oldest ones… I guess this is the Frozen of this generation, though I wonder why… the movie it's from over fifty years ago.
"Are you sure you don't want to see another movie? Like the Aristocats?" I asked, in the hopes she would pick anything but Snow White.
"Yes, I love the movie a lot," Being a good parent is torture sometimes.
"Ok," Oh well, at one point I will learn to tune it out… hopefully. "I will make some popcorn, do you want cheese on them? Or lime?"
"Cheese!" Emily replied with a giggle.
"Cheese it is!" I chuckled, turning up the stove, to make the popcorn the old fashioned way. They just tasted better that way.
"Da- Alex," Emily said as she entered the kitchen, "When is miss Ororo coming to visit?"
I hummed at that, last time I spoke with her, she was getting into a plane to visit her hometown. "Well, she said she would be back soon," I replied, with a smile, patting her head, "You know you can call me dad if you want to right?"
"Yes," Emily nodded.
"Good," I smiled, sending her back to the living room.
"Hurry up Ale- dad!" Emily called as she ran towards the living room.
As she left, I couldn't help but wonder how I would protect her from everything that was going to come. Being a parent was apparently a job with a lot of worries, and in the MCU, I had many, "If only I could get… her… a… pet to protect her!" and then it clicked me, what if… I did give her a pet that was by all means able to take on most threats like a petsmart toy, what if I got her a certain alien cat that basically had Cthulhu inside of her, what if I got her Goose, the Flerken, I mean, the poor female alien cat was abandoned in the PEGASUS base. "Emily, we are getting a cat!"
"YESSSS!" Emily screamed with delight running back into the kitchen with a wide smile on her face, that if it was any wider, the Joke would sue her. I expected a positive response, but not what I could only describe as a seven year old on crack jumping up and down.
[New Quest Created! = Adopt a Cat… an Alien Cat!
Goose is the adorable yet deadly Flerken that was brought to earth by Mar-Vell a Kree as her pet and companion, but after her death, the poor mighty cthulhu cat was left alone waiting for someone to purr with, now will you be the one to adopt this adorable civilization eating cat giving him a PURRfect opportunity, or would you leave it alone to cause a CATastrophe?
Objective = Befriend the alien cat and add him to your family
Rewards = A fierce protector that will eat away all your problems, and your tuna, 150$, 150 EXP.
Failure = No cat, Emily sad, Goose sad no purr.]
So my cash reward was basically an adoption fee, huh, neat. Oh well, Goose alone was reward enough, "Well… tomorrow I'll get to it, but you have to help me take care of it, alright?"
"YESS!" Emily nodded so fast, I was beginning to wonder how her head didn't fall off. I guess pets and candy are the drugs for the kids, in this case, pets are crack… that's an analogy I never thought I would use.

It took me a month to find the location of the Joint Dark Energy Mission Facility because I had to prevent Fury from finding out I was looking for it. He trusted me to an extent, as much as a spy could trust someone, and suddenly asking him where a classified site by SHIELD standards was located could break that fragile trust.
Now that I knew where the Joint Dark Energy Mission Facility was, all I had to do was break in, adopt Goose, and get out, all without gathering any unwanted attention.
So with that in mind, I decided to complete a few dungeons, to gain new skills for this mission and in less than a week I had already completed three of the ten dungeons that New York had, thus obtaining three skills for my use.
[Savagery LV 10, [Meditation LV 9, [Sight LV 7, and one I had develop myself, [Knockout LV 5]
[Savagery - Active - LV 10 = As long as the user continues attacking without interruption with physical blows, each consecutive blow receives an additional 500 pounds of force compared to the previous one. If the chain of attacks are interrupted then it resets, and the user has to start the count once more. ]
[Meditation - Active - LV 9 = When used, the user regenerates 1% of total HP and MP per second.]
[Sight - Passive - LV 7 = Connected to the minimap, the user can see anything within his minimap range as if he was there. Sight can be used at any given time]
and last but not least, [Knockout LV 5] It allowed me to knock people down with a single hit if I was at least twice their level.
Three very good skills, especially Sight, it was the one thing I envied from Heimdall, his ability to see almost anything, and now I had the trial version of it, I guess, still functional though.
"Time to adopt a cat," I muttered, as I wondered, what type of food Goose would like, I mean, he was an alien cat, talking about food, what type of litter do cats from the Cthulhu dimension use, ok, questions for later. "Emily!" I called.
"Yes?" Emily replied, running into my room.
"I'm gonna go out, Martha is coming, so you know, be on your best behavior," The sitter I had hired was a trained soldier named Martha Sanchez, I offered her a very stable job taking care of Emily and around the house, she was LV 32, and was very good at hand to hand combat, making her the best babysitter in town, also the most expensive, she costed me like 10K a month, but it was worth it for times when I wanted to do some dungeons and stuff.
"Ok," Emily nodded, giving me a knowing smile. "Will you come back with our cat?"
"Maybe…." I chuckled, "Now go and put your pajamas,"
"Yes!" Emily giggled, running into her room.
With a smile on my face, I ran to the living room to pick up my guns before Martha arrived and saw them, yes Emily knew of my guns, but Martha didn't, for what she knew, I was just a rich single dad, being overprotective of his little bundle of joy, and to be honest, I didn't want to clarify, it would only open a can of worms I was not ready to deal with.
Two seconds after I finished picking my guns from the living room, I heard a knock at the door. "Mr. Maxwell, it's me, Martha."
Opening the door, I greeted Martha with a firm handshake, "Hello Martha, make yourself at home."
"How long will you be gone this time?" Martha asked, going straight to the point.
"A day, or two," I shrugged.
"Very well, same rules?" Martha asked, my rules were simple, no one was to be trusted, and she was to always be armed, in case of something, nothing had happened, but you know, better safe than sorry.
"Yes," I nodded.
"Now, where is the little princess," And in the blink of an eye, Martha's cold attitude changed, seriously, I am very close to believe Emily's power is being adorable, I haven't met anyone that doesn't like her, well… Tyler from her art class doesn't, but soon he would not be a problem anymore...
"Daddy, stop planning Tyler's disappearance!" Emily said, narrowing her eyes.
"I am doing no such thing," I gasped, I was totally doing such a thing, but for now my diabolical plans of finding a way to have him transferred to another school would have to wait, for now….
"I know that look…" Emily muttered, narrowing her eyes even more.
"Maybe…. I was," I relented.
"Bad daddy," Emily replied, narrowing her eyes even more, to the point they closed.
"Anyway, take care of my sweet baby," I chuckled, looking at Martha.
"Will do, Mr. Maxwell," Martha chuckled, as Emily pretended to be blind.
--
Getting to the Mojave Desert in Nevada was super easy, barely an inconvenience, reaching the facility, well, that was an entirely different matter, but I managed, for all I had to do was reach the facility with my minimap, which was technically not reaching the facility, I mean, it was close, but… not that close.
Anyway, to reach the facility I had to avoid a bunch of patrols and such, eventually reaching the fence, where I used my minimap to locate Goose, I mean, I did not want to go room by room looking for the little catto, the place was huge, enormous, and if I did that it would take me a few hours to search every single room.
"Let's see," I sighed, using Sight as I laid on the ground to avoid being seen, first room, a bunch of soldiers, second room two girls making out… good for them… third room, the food court, nice, I continued doing this for every room that had a dot on my minimap, I mean the dots signified a living being inside, or at least sentient, I don't know, the point is where there was a dot, there was someone, until I saw a dot behind me.
"I will turn and Goose will be there…" I muttered, turning Sight off as I turned around.
"Meow…" And I was right…. [Goose LV 266]
The alien cat is higher level than me, well that is somewhat hurtful, but understandable, but still, almost two hundred levels above me, Jesus fucking Christ, "Hello there…"
Goose looked at me, and once again meowed.
"I want to adopt you, you see, I have a little girl that loves cats, and you would be her perfect companion," I don't know what I was doing, I mean, did she even understand me.
Goose approached me, and purred.
"Is… is that a yes?" I need to learn a skill to understand animals.
[Quest Completed! = Adopt a Cat… an Alien Cat!

Oh thank god, that was a yes, for a moment I thought Goose was considering eating me. "Now, please don't scratch Emily, and I will get you all the tuna you can eat…" I muttered, grabbing the apparently almighty cat.
Goose purred at my touch, meowing in content approval.

Adopting Goose was super easy, barely an inconvenience, but now I was worried that perhaps the Flerken was a bit too powerful, though I suppose if Goose ever misbehaves a muzzle could do the trick to stop her, but still, I never expected the cat to be so ahead of me, a few levels sure, but almost two hundred levels ahead of me, it never occurred to me, it was honestly quite shocking, but I suppose if I need someone to protect Emily, Goose is the cat for the job, I doubted anyone could get to her now that Goose was our house pet.
Anyway, after finding Goose outside the facility and adopting her, I went back to the house to present her to Emily, who as soon as she saw the Flerken hugged the ever living crap of it, surprisingly, instead of acting like a normal cat Goose purred, content with the situation, perhaps that was were Flerkens and earth cats differed.
"I'll see you next week Martha," I waved at Martha as she left the house.
Now that I was alone, well, alone without Martha, it was time to level up, and what better way to do so than the new dungeon I had found in New York, a dungeon of my level, I know, shocking.
I had found it on my way back from getting Goose, in a way, the dungeon was hidden, but now, I knew where it was, and it was time to finally level up in a dungeon.
"Well, I'm off to buy some food, do you want anything?" I asked Emily.
"Ice cream?" Emily smiled, Goose purring in content on her arms.
"Not food, but sure," I chuckled, turning my gaze to Goose, "Goose, if anyone that is not me comes, eat then! Okay?"
Goose purred loudly as if saying yes sir, as Emily giggled, "How can she eat someone? She's a tiny adorable cat! Silly dad,"
"Well…" I clicked my tongue, how was I supposed to explain this to her, "You see, Goose is not your run of the mill cat, he is a super powered one, in short in has the tools to back up the ego most cats have,"
Emily looked at Goose, beaming with even more happiness, "I have a super cat?!" she asked, confirming what I had just said.
"Yes, and you know the drill," I reminded her.
"No one can know," Emily repeated.
"Good, now, I'm off to buy Tuna for Goose, and food for us," I smiled, patting her in the head, and then Goose, who was staring at me with a look that said, I deserve petting too, pet me or I shall throw a fit.
"Remember to bring the ice cream!" Emily reminded me, as I opened the door of the house to leave.
"Worry not, I shall bring thy ice cream, princess Emily," I bowed with a wink.
"I shall await for you, my Knight," Emily giggled, as I closed the door.
————————————————————————-
At the grocery store, I picked all the stuff I needed for Goose and Emily, before going to the cash register, a normal day, until I saw something, or rather someone, a Hydra agent tailing me, [Robert Krom LV 28 - Hydra Agent] if there is something I am glad for is my ability to see titles, god I love this shit.
Anyway, Robert the Hydra agent was following me like a stray dog after you petted him once on the street, tailing my every move from a relatively safe distance. The question now was, when did Hydra find out about me? again.
Perhaps Fury informed someone of my location and that someone was unbeknownst to him part of Hydra, or perhaps someone followed Fury when he visited me last time and now they know where I am, who knows, I guess I will find out soon enough when I… have a heart to heart with my ex colleague, which meant I would have to do the dungeon another time.
Outside the supermarket, I put the groceries in my car, and got in it, driving to the mall, as Robert tailed me with his car, seriously who trained the guy, even a blind idiot would see he is following me, well, I suppose not all Hydra agents can be as efficient as I was.
Parking my car in a pretty desolated area, I walked to the mall, as Robert followed me, with a smile, I made a turn around and winked at the man, who for a moment stood still, then getting into position i sprinted towards him at full speed, which I turn made the Hydra Agent try to run, unfortunately for him, I was way faster than him, and catched up with him.
Right hand on his neck immobilizing him, and the left one on his mouth, I ripped the suicide pills from his mouth like taking grapes from the stem.
"Now that you can't die because you fucked up, tell me… why are you here?" I asked with a smile, taking my left hand from his bleeding mouth. Dropping the suicide teeth on the ground.
"I will tell you nothing!" Robert hissed as I smiled.
"Oh, don't worry little bird… eventually, you all sing," I smiled, dragging the man into my car, not without breaking his arms and legs first, to avoid any opposition on his part.
"I wonder if little Emily is safe…" Robert muttered with a weak smile, trying to… aggravate me, but instead of that, all he did was make me chuckle.
"Oh, you poor little thing," I snorted, "If only you knew…"
———————————————————————-
[Emily POV]
An hour after daddy left to buy some groceries, the bad guys came for me… they were once again after us, why couldn't they leave us alone, what did we do to deserve this.
"Come, little girl," one of the bad guys approached me, but before he could touch me, Goose came into view yowling at them. "Stupid c—" before he could finish that sentence, Goose opened her mouth beyond what should be possible, and several tentacles rushed at the man, swallowing him whole.
"What in the fuck…" the other two men that had entered the apartment muttered as Goose rushed at them, hissing.

I arrived at the house with the Hydra agent that tailed me gagged and cuffed in the back of my car, he would later have to answer a few questions, but that was for after I made sure Emily was okay.
"Emily?" I called as I walked through the door of the house, seeing Goose in front of the door sitting menacingly, like good girl.
"Dad!" Emily cried out moments later, crawling out from under the couch. "Bad people came after me, but Goose ate them!" she exclaimed.
I looked at her with a sigh, noticing that she was a bit scared with the situation, her lips trembling and her eyes full of tears, gently I walked over to her, crouching down to her level, "Don't worry everything will be fine," I promised her, it was after all time for Hydra to understand that they shouldn't mess with me or my family.
I might not be able to eliminate them for good, for their numbers were too vast, and their connections ran too deep, but I would show them that even with all their power and influence, they had to fear me, besides, I still owed Edward, my first friend at Hydra, a visit, a heart to hear so to speak.
Grabbing my phone, I called Fury, who answered right away, "Fury,"
"Did something happen?" Fury asked on the other end of the line.
"Why do you ask?" I answered, I knew he hadn't betrayed me, Fury was many things, but a traitor wasn't one of them, but still, it was worth asking.
"Well, you don't ever call me, so... yeah," Fury replied with a laugh, "What bitch do we have to kill? Tell me a Hydra bitch,"
Holding back the urge to laugh, I replied, "Yes, hydra tried to break into my house and kidnap Emily, they also sent someone to tail me, that one I caught, and I have him cuffed and ready for interrogation, the ones who broke into my house those are dead."
Fury was quiet for a moment, probably thinking of what to say, "Someone must have followed me...but who?"
"Not necessarily, last time I got caught because Hydra has some type of bloodhounds that detect mutants by scent or something, so anything is possible," I replied, thinking if I could develop a skill to prevent that from happening.
"I'll be at your house in two hours, if you can't wait there, go to my hideout under the abandoned train," Fury replied.
"Don't worry, I'll wait for you here, but if I need to change locations I'll let you know," I replied, hanging up the phone.
"Where are we moving to now?" Emily asked, her shaky voice making me feel worse than I already did about the situation. I wanted to give her a normal life , but sadly that would never be possible, Hydra had taken that away from us, they were a disease that was impossible to fully cure, at least in the span of a human life.
"Don't worry, as long as I'm here... nothing will ever happen to you," I smile at her, giving her a big hug.
"I'm scared… I don't want to lose you!" Emily hugged me tightly, tears streaming down her face.
Hydra was a disease for which I had no cure yet, but everything in this universe had a cure, and with the snap of a finger I could cure the earth of this Cancer, forever. But before that, I had to become stronger, for I would not be the only one after such power.
--
An hour and thirty minutes later, Fury arrived at my apartment, ready to help. By that time, I had already managed to put Emily to sleep so that I could talk with Fury freely, leaving her with Goose in her room both sleeping on the bed. "Where are the bodies?" Fury asked, as he entered the apartment.
"My cat ate them, now... we need to discuss how to attack Hydra," I said, taking a seat in my living room.
"Wait a fucking minute," Fury said holding up a finger, "Your cat did fucking what?"
"He ate the intruders," I replied, holding back the urge to laugh.
"A cat..." Fury muttered, "It ate... is the cat a fucking mutant too?!"
"No, it's an alien," I replied.
Almost as if feeling she had been summoned, Goose went down to the living room to get some water from her bowl. "That cat?" Fury pointed his finger at Goose.
"Yes," I nodded.
"Okay..." Fury said, taking a couple of steps away from Goose.
"She won't eat you," I chuckled.
"Everyone says that about their pets, and boom, next thing I know, I end up in the litter box, so yes, I don't fucking want to go near him? her?" Fury replied, looking at Goose as if the cat was a nuclear weapon.
"Her," I corrected him.
"Well, outside of the clearly terrifying cat you have, we have an organization to attack." Fury cleared his throat to reinforce the point.
"We have nothing to do, I have," I corrected him, "You have a role to play, if you keep up the way you're going you'll soon be the head of SHIELD, and in that position you'll be able to do more than what you can right now as agent, I on the other hand have nothing to play, so all I need from you is information and resources, and I'll take care of the rest."
"I don't like that, but considering you have a human eating cat that can take a trained group of assassins like cat snacks, I reckon you are right," Fury sighed.
"Right now, all I need from you is a Jet," I nodded.
"I am an agent, not fucking Tony Stark," Fury stated, "I don't have jets on my garage…"
"No, but… you know where the best ones are," I grinned.
"I see," Fury laughed, "You are one tricky motherfucker, fine, I'll find the best one, and let you know where it is, just don't get caught," he chuckled.
"I doubt anyone from Shield can catch me," I chuckled, maybe Black Widow, but only because she seems like a resourceful gal, but even her I doubted, I wonder what level she is.
30 CHAPTER 30

--
With Fury's help, I was able to infiltrate Stark Industries, stealing one of the jets they had for sale, then I began to fly said Jet, with Fury hiding my tracks from military radars with his SHIELD credentials, as I flew around the country, marking Hydra bases I would find on a map as I found them, I won't lie, I love my map function, is probably the best function of my power, by a long ass shot.
After I had all the Hydra bases in the USA marked on my map, I threw the stolen Jet into the sea with a handmade bomb courtesy of Fury timed to explode in a few hours. I wanted to be sure no one would track the Jet's disappearance back to me.
The USA alone had no less than one hundred bases, and a bunch of small… safe houses, meaning it would take me years to purge every single base, no… what I needed was to target the biggest ones, leaving a message to them to not bother me anymore.
Which is why, right now, I was outside the biggest base so far, using [sight] to determine how dangerous this base particular base was, so far nothing to worry about, like any other base, it had a bunch of soldiers, nothing that would make me sweat, at least, that was until I reached the basement, where a bunch of high level individuals were frozen in place, quite literally.
"What in the fuck are the Winter Soldiers doing there," I muttered in a bit of shock, I mean if I remembered correctly, they were supposed to be in Siberia, I mean, at least they stated that on Captain America: Civil War, so why were they here, had they moved them?
[Josef LV 94, [Alexander LV 84, [Friedrich LV 86, [Walter LV 90, [Anna LV 87, [Bucky Barnes LV 135]
Well, fuck me, this changes everything, now instead of busting inside their base 90s action movie style, I need to infiltrate and kill those popsicles bastards before they can get activated, save for Bucky, I reckon Charles can help me help him with the brainwash.
Well, time to infiltrate.
--
It was relatively easy to infiltrate the base, considering I worked for Hydra, and knew a bit about their security systems, granted the security system they had in place was different, and the base was considerably bigger than the one I used to reside in, but in the end I managed, all thanks to [Sight, all I had to do was watch the soldiers use the codes, and use them myself, worse case scenario, the codes don't work, and I have to run as far away as possible.
Now once inside, it was all a matter of not being caught, which I had solved by killing a random agent that had crossed my path during my infiltration with knife to the throat, and then like in a cartoon, I stripped him buttnaked, and took his clothes, they were a bit tight, but they would suffice.
Now I was hidden in plain sight, sometimes the best place to hide if you ask me, people always overlook what's right in front of them, however regardless of my trust on this plan, I was using [Sight] to avoid being caught, I basically had an eye on the surveillance room at all times, and one on the path I was taking.
It was like looking left and right at the same time.
It was hard, but it was safe, also, every now and then I would switch to see the body of the agent I had killed to verify no one had discovered the corpse.
And like that, I traversed through the base without being caught, granted it took me longer that I would've liked, but I did it the safe way, now all I had to do was figure out how to open the room where the Winter Soldiers were, something I was trying to do while I hid in one of the broom closets.
Using [Sight] I found a vent that led into the room, big enough for me to crawl in and break into the room, a ventilation vent I supposed, but just to be sure, I followed the vent to its starting location, finding a gas tank, probably there in case they needed to force the Winter Soldiers to sleep.
This alone brought a bunch of difficulties, if they gassed the room, I would be captured, meaning going into the room without a clear exit was a suicide, no…. I had to find the key to the room, but where to look, the place was massive, it had hundreds of rooms, finding that even with [Sight] would be a pain in the ass that would take me hours, perhaps even more.
And that was assuming I had the time, I mean, considering I had killed someone to hide in plain sight, that body would eventually be discovered, leading into a full lockdown, and possible activation of Bucky.
In shot, I had but one option, enter the room within the hour, or risk a fight I am not sure I can win, I mean, Bucky alone is one thing, but the entire base, plus Bucky, I don't think I can handle that, heck, I am not sure I can handle Bucky alone altogether.
"I should learn how to hack," I sighed, if only I knew how to hack, this entire dilemma would be nothing but a minor inconvenience at best.
Taking a deep breath, I used [Sight] on the room where they were keeping the Winter Soldiers, seeing two men enter the room followed by a bunch of other people, they were talking about something, in German, so I was completely clueless, Hydra never taught me German, I know stupid considering they origin from Germany, then again, they probably didn't want knowing too much.
Then, all of the sudden their conversation ended, and they moved Bucky out of the room as they left, leaving only the other winter soldiers. Now I had to decide, do I… one, follow Bucky and the men that took him, or two, stay and kill the other Winter Soldiers.
31 CHAPTER 31
If you want to read up to 30 chapters ahead go to https//cornbringer
--
I debated over my options, and decided to kill the other winter soldiers, saving Bucky would be beneficial yes, but it was a high risk bet, for one, if they activated him before I could kill those guarding him, I would be fucked, so in a long term case, dealing with the ones they left behind was a considerably better choice.
Best case would've been being able to save him and kill the rest, but I didn't have the tools to destroy the base and save Bucky at the same time, as it was I was already risking a lot by still being here, so any mistake could potentially lead to my inevitable capture.
Using [Sight] I eyed Bucky one more time, before I closed my connection with him, sorry Bucky, but unfortunately you are not my priority, I am not Cap.
[Sight has leveled up!]
Huh, I guess using it so much really paid off, "Alright, time to kill some Winter Soldiers," I muttered, as I started to plan how to enter the room where they were keeping the winter soldiers.
Seeing as the room had only one entrance from my side, and one from the back, with both apparently needed a special code to enter, I had but one choice, using the vent I had discovered using [Sight, but as I had said earlier the vent was connected to a gas tank ready to be used at Hydra's command, meaning, I first needed to take care of the gas, then of the soldiers.
Nodding to myself, I walked out of the broom closet I was hiding in, using [sight] on the surveillance room as I climbed to the vent with relative ease, then ripping the vent open with my bare hands I entered the vent, and started to crawl over to the gas room.
Now, all I had to do was crawl my way over to the gas room, and cut the connection said room had to the ventilation system of the base, effectively eliminating the biggest threat to my mission.
"There it is," I grinned, reaching the vent that connected to the gas room, now all I had to do was block that up, but how… "Mana arrows?"
I didn't have a skill for this situation, so I improvised, I mean, I was the gamer after all, so, using my skill mana arrows I focused my mana on my hands creating two balls of energy that I didn't let go, then I used said balls of energy to melt the vent shut, it was surprisingly easy.
[A new skill had being created = Mana Forge]
Mana forge, I wonder if… "That for later Alex, focus on the task at hand,"
Now that the gas room aka the biggest problem on my list was effectively neutralized, it was time to eliminate the Winter Soldiers, with that in mind, I crawled my way to the room where my targets were, kicking the vent open as I jumped out of it.
Once outside, I stretched, grabbing a gun from my inventory, "I love that Hydra made it easy for me to kill you guys," I said, pressing the trigger, killing the cryogenized soldiers with a bullet to the head each.
[YOU HAVE LEVEL UP!]
[YOU HAVE LEVEL UP!]
[YOU HAVE LEVEL UP!]
Three levels, wow, I did not expect that. I suppose killing them was somewhat special then.
As I pondered over this, the alarms went off, and I knew what it meant , Hydra knew I was here, I guess it was unavoidable, sighing. I made my way to the vent, but stopped, my mind going over an idea so crazy, it might just… work, what if, I studied the blood of the winter soldiers… I mean, they were lesser versions of Captain America, but their blood had information about the super soldier serum.
"This is going to make my exit harder than it has to be, but… fuck it," turning around, I opened all the cryo-genic pots and with my machete cut the arms of every single one of the winter soldiers, and put them on my inventory, I would later see if I could get anything with them. "Ok, time to kill some bastards,"
[Quest created: YOU ARE THE TARGET OF THE WINTER SOLDIER
Hydra has started to activate the Winter Soldier to hunt you down in their base, you have two hours and ten minutes before he is fully functional to kill him or escape the base.
Objective: Survive
Failure: Capture
Reward: 500.000 EXP, 150.000$]
Hmm, ain't this a surprise, they sure went all out with this red alarm, so Bucky is being activated, and I have two hours to escape, hahah, please, as if I needed two hours to fuck this base off, without Bucky, this was a low level area for me.
Running to the vent, I climbed inside the vent and crawled out of the room to a hall where no less than fifty Hydra soldiers were waiting for me. With a grin, I kicked the vent open, and ducked out of the rain of bullets they threw at me finding cover behind a wall where I used my telekinesis to grab and take their weapons with a quick pull.
"I can't wait to be bullet proof, I wonder how much DEF I need for that," I hummed deep in thought, throwing a few grenades at them, courtesy of Fury, killing them all. "I should really thank Fury for all the illegal weapons he gets me…" I chuckled, grabbing a rifle from my inventory, also courtesy of Fury.
[2:08:45]
A timer, what a little nice touch, every day I learn something new from my powers, "Ok, I have enough time to burn this base to the ground and get some food on the way home,"
"He's over there!" I heard someone shout.
Turning around, I aimed my free hand at the person who had shouted and blasted him with a mana arrow, as I ran towards the rest of his group shooting my rifle at them.

Left and right, I continued killing the Hydra puppets as I made my way to exit, so far, I had killed no less than a two hundred agents, and by this point they were no approaching me as casually as they did at the beginning, they were getting creative so to speak, but regardless of their futile attempts, their lives had expired, and they had no choice but to accept this inescapable destiny.
"Please… don't kill me," one of them pleaded, and frankly, a year ago I would've cared.
"No," I replied, breaking his neck with my hands, my eyes on the exit thanks to [Sight, though it was probably blocked by now, to keep me in a controlled environment to help Bucky on his hunt.
"You won't escape… not now that we know you are here…" a wounded Hydra muttered with a close lipped smile.
"You have no idea how resourceful I am," I winked, shooting him in the head.
{Agent Walker… it's so good to see you…} A voice was heard through the speakers of the base, a man's voice, echoing in the now lifeless halls like a hollow symphony. {Worry not, soon you will return to us, what you can do is simply something we can't afford to lose, look at you… a killing machine, a tool waiting to be used…}
At this I raised an eyebrow, whoever this guy was, knew me because of my files, his voice didn't sound familiar at all, "Cute, but I already retired, and as you can see, I am now hunting you guys." I wasn't sure if he could hear me, but if he replied it would answer my question.
{Oh, but Mr. Walker, retirement is not something you have a right to, you are a tool, to be used until broken…} He was buying time, what funny thing, he must know as things are going, I will manage to exit this base before Bucky is even activated, so he is making small talk just to keep me in place, the oldest trick in the book, but two can play that game.
"You don't say…" I chuckled, as I used [Sight] to locate this man, whoever he was, he probably had the codes to stop this lockdown situation.
{So, why don't we avoid unnecessary violence, and simply accept things as they are? You know you can't escape, and soon… our hound will catch you, so why struggle against such odds?}
"You know what's funny about all this?" I chuckled, finally seeing where he was hiding, "That now I know who do I have to kill, Mr. Wrodick," I grinned, reading his name tag.
{...What?} His voice sounded thick now, full with worry, and uncertainty.
"Hehe, don't worry that little head of yours yet, we'll see each other soon, then you can worry," With that said, I grabbed my gun and ran towards his location. He was two floors down, and with the time I still had, which was one hour and twenty minutes, I had time to pay him a visit, have heart to heart, or more accurately his heart to my hand.
{Stop him!} I heard the man shout through the coms of the building, as I saw him running out of his office, god I love [Sight]
"You can run, but you can't hide~" I sang, shooting at the troops he had sent to stop me, my accuracy was at this point so good, almost all my shots were headshots, which only sped the process of eliminating unwanted obstacles, well… if you could call them that.
Cutting corners, I took a shortcut to catch up with Mr. Wrodick, by breaking open the elevators and jumping two floors down, to where the Mr. Wrodick was waiting for the elevator, it was obvious at this point this guy had never watched a movie before, the elevator is the worst thing to use during an escape.
"You…" Mr. Wrodick muttered [Robert Wrodick LV 22, taking a few steps back, he was already sweating, how fortunate for me, this would be easy, you see, anticipation is haft of the work for torture and sex, I know two different things, but with anticipation you get better results with both, and he was anticipating my arrival, and the pain this would bring.
"Me…" I smiled, grabbing the man by the shirt as he tried to run. Then, I shoved my hand into his mouth, ripping the suicide pills he had in store. "Now that you can't go all, hail hydra on me, how about you help me escape, as a reward, I will make your death a quick one, how about it?"
Mr. Wrodick shuddered, his hands trembling, sad really, how can such a pathetic guy be in charge of anything, "I won't… h-help you!"
"Oh… you will…" I winked, dragging him into a conveniently close torture room, I knew his type, the one with power, that never had to feel any pain, I knew them very well, and I also knew how to make them sing, and ohh he would sing such things, of that I would make sure.
--
It took me nineteen minutes and forty eight seconds to utterly break the man, to think a few minutes ago he didn't want to share anything, now, I even knew where his family lived, I would have to pay them a visit later, but for now, it was time to escape.
"K-kill me," the once prideful doctor begged.
"I will, as soon as these doors open," I replied, dragging him to the exit, where he would put his codes to override the lockdown.
Shaking, and covered in blood and piss, he went to the control panel and put his codes, effectively ending the lockdown, and granting me my freedom from this oversized cage.
"Now… kill me…" once again, the doctor begged, desiring the sweat release that came with total darkness, to think breaking his balls with a hammer, after injecting a pain stimulating drug in them, would be so effective.
"I suppose a deal is a deal," I nodded, as the doors opened, putting a bullet in his head. Now that that was done, all I had to do was walk out of the base, which according to my minimap only had a dozen survivors, including Bucky, more than enough to send a message, and let the chaos spread like a disease.
[00:49:21]
Forty nine minutes left, not bad, I will try to speed run the next base, gotta break my record.

[1 month later]
It has been thirty days since the day I encountered the Winter Soldiers and killed most of them, save for Bucky, since then I have eliminated eight bases, and yet Hydra has only increased their efforts to capture me, sending more and more agents, forcing Emily and I to be on the move.
This entire dilemma brought me back to when I tortured Mr. Wrodick a month ago, he was very vocal, very open about all things, and he sang the melodies I wanted him to sing, and some I did not want to hear and ignored at the time, on his unrequested symphony he went into great detail how Hydra would never… never stop hunting me for I had proven my value was beyond what they thought possible, that they would forever be in the shadows, waiting for me to lower my guard, that I would forever live looking upon my shoulder fearing the day I slipped up, such a miserable tune, one I wanted no part in.
This made me wonder, would my message actually do something.. Would me destroying their bases one by one actually change a thing? Or would simply encourage them to try harder and harder in the greedy attempt to own me and my powers, so far that seemed to be the case.
I didn't want that, but what else could I do, as it stood, I was around super soldier levels of power, at least their bootleg version, I had no real power to wipe them off, I had no tools to hurt them.
Eliminating Hydra was something well beyond my current capabilities that was something I knew, a disease I was not prepared to fully cure, a demon I was not yet ready to purge, but not all diseases or demons need to be eliminated right away, some… some can be controlled, and managed, into a livable situation.
Eliminating them by normal means was an impossibility, a fruitless endeavor that would never be completed, a quest that went beyond the span of a human life, and in reality, I really had no idea how long it would take to eliminate them, maybe years? Decades? Perhaps even more, It was simply time I did not have, and even if I did, well… who would want to spend an eternity by human standards hunting them? Besides that, I had Emily to take into consideration too, I had no idea if I was ageless or not, perhaps I was, but Emily was not, she was a human, a normal human, and a life of eternal fear was not one I wanted to subject her to.
So, I had to think outside the box. I had to teach Hydra, that I too, was an impossibility to deal with, a threat so big, they would prioritize saving their resources instead of wasting them on me, I had to become the Heracles of their mythos, I had to teach them, I could slay them.
I could always focus my time in trying to decipher the super soldier serum from the samples I got from the winter soldiers, but that would take time, time where nothing was a guarantee, time I could use in something else.
Like hunting another type of power, one easier yet arguably harder to acquire, the power the Ancient One had, what she knew would give me the tools to end Hydra you see, learning to open portals would be very… very beneficial, after all with that skill, all I needed to do was open portals in the hydra locations I had on my map, leave bombs inside the bases and burn Hydra with unavoidable attacks, I mean what were they supposed to do? There is no way to stop an attack like that, with a power like that, I would Amazon prime bomb on their asses, and who knows, Emily might have a knack for the mystic arts, it would certainly help her out in the long run, but that was me just getting ahead of myself.
So here I was, on my way to Karma-Taj, with Emily sleeping, her head resting on my legs.
As for Fury, well… I didn't tell him, I just... left him my number, in case of emergencies.
{We'll be arriving in Nepal in ten minutes} I heard the pilot say through the coms of the plane.
"I suppose this is for the best." I sighed, wondering if the Ancient One would give me a book or two, in the movies she seemed like a nice enough person, but this was not a movie.
--
Once the plane reached the airport in Nepal, I took Emily and walked. If there was a good thing about my map, it was that I knew where most things were, of course, things like Karma-Taj were not exactly on my map.
So, I asked every person I saw. One would eventually lead me there, or have more information than I had.
Or so I thought, because one hour in after arriving at Nepal where I started to ask everyone about Karma-Taj, I encountered a door, a door with a tag floating above it, which was weird, only people had tags, aka their names and levels.
[Door… it's a door]
Funny enough the name was simply door… it's a door, no level, no awesome description, just that. But if I had to take a wild guess, that door had Magic, and considering the only ones with Magic around here are the sorcerers, and me now, but… it's a different kind of Magic, so… that was probably my entrance to Karma-Taj.
"Well here goes nothing," I sighed, walking to the door, Emily sleeping soundly in my arms. Once I was in front of the door, I pushed it open, feeling how said door took some of my mana. Inside I found myself in the same house Dr. Strange had visited after arriving at Nepal, the house where he met the Ancient One. "Well, that was easy." I muttered.
"It's not easy for everybody," someone behind me added, startling the crap out of me.
"Holy fuck," I jumped turning around, to see no other than the Ancient One. "You should really consider having a bell on you."
[The Ancient One - LV 219]
The Ancient One chuckled, her eyes piercing me with an unshakable gaze that made me feel nude, "You… You are very different, I don't think I have met someone like you before."

The Ancient One circled me, her eyes giving a long scrutinising look, index fingers pressed to her lips, "You are very symmetrical.."
Emily in my arms, I frowned, how was I supposed to answer that? "Thanks?"
"Never seen such symmetry in the mystical arts, it's rather vexing," The Ancient one added, a rather hard to read smile on her face, in fact, now that I think about it, every expression coming from her is rather difficult to understand on some level. "But enough about that, you must have a reason to be here, everyone has one."
"I do," I nodded.
"Follow me, Mr. Walker," The Ancient one smiled, her eyes closing into two thin lines, before she started walking, with me close behind, while I wondered, how did she know about me.
"You know me?" I inquired, my eyes on her as I did so.
"On a surface level," She answered, making no stop on her walk, "I know bits and such, nothing personal I assure you,"
Deciding it was best to take that answer, I nodded as I continued following her through the house into an empty room with two chairs and a teapot.
Looking at me, she took a seat pouring some hot delicious tea into a cup, and with a smile offered, "Would you like some?"
At her offer, I nodded, taking a seat on the only empty chair as she served me the cup of tea she had graciously offered. "Now," she said, handing me the cup, "What is it that you want,"
"You don't know?" I asked.
Taking a sip from her cup, she smiled, this time a less friendly smile, "I have an idea, considering your upbringing, but I would like to hear it from you, the source, so to speak." she finished, putting her empty tea cup on the table in front of her.
Blinking, I looked at the table that two seconds ago hadn't been there in surprise, before I replied, "I want to learn some things from you, if possible."
Unconvince with my answer, the Ancient One looked at me, her gaze piercing beyond the corners of my soul as she asked, "Is that truly all?"
"I suppose… the reason behind… all of this, is eliminating a threat that will never stop hunting me." If she knew about my upbringing here, there was no point of lying.
"Hydra, is it?" The Ancient One asked, her eyes on mine.
"Yes," I nodded.
"Why?" The Ancient One inquired.
Why? Because I would never be allowed to rest until they were dead, "Because as long as they… think I belong to them, I will never be truly free."
"You could," The Ancient One replied, a faint smile appearing on her face.
"Could what?" I muttered in confusion.
"You could be free, even without killing them," She finished with a small chuckle, standing up from her chair as she did so. "The question is… would you want to be free with them existing?"
"Well, let's operate under the assumption I could be free without killing them," I sighed, "I still would like to… erase them, they hurt others… and do things, things that will forever haunt me, haunt her." I muttered looking at Emily.
"I see," The Ancient One nodded, "Very well then, when can you start?"
I looked at her, perplexed with what was going on, by how the conversation was moving, I expected her to… kick me out, "You… don't find my quest morally incorrect?"
"I am not in a position to judge you, nor your goals, I do think you need to heal and mend the wounds they inflicted upon your being, but healing can't be forced, it happens naturally," The Ancient One said, her eyes on me. "You are the master of your own destiny, Mr. Walker, I am but a passenger you have invited, besides, in a way, your goals align with what we stand for, protecting the world, though, we usually focus on mystical threats, but we can't all face dark gods and demons can we?" she winked.
Was… was that a joke, "I'm sorry… It's just you are the first person not to… well, have a strong reaction to my goal, most either look at me like I am crazy, while some share my vision with anger," like Erik, he hated Hydra.
"Well, that's them," The Ancient One smiled, "All I do is help people heal, I help them to find a way to heal themselves, most find such help in the Mystic Arts, and I am happy to help,"
Nodding at her answer, I reminded myself she was one to always have a motive behind her actions, she was old, older than I could imagine, meaning she had experience playing the game, but… as people say, you scratch my back, I scratch yours.
"So, when do you want to start? Mr. Walker," The Ancient One asked again.
"Right away," I answered with a smile.
--
[The Ancient One - POV]
Symmetry in the mystic arts was an impossibility, mana was free of such things, yet, there he was, a magically symmetrical being, it was as if his body was a computer perfectly regulating the mystical energies of his body in a vexingly perfect way, in all my years, I had never witnessed such a… thing, and I had witnessed many things.
Perhaps this was why I had seen him fighting alongside Dr. Strange during my visions of the future.
"Alright, as I see you already have so… rudimentary training in the mystic arts, I will start you with this," I said, tossing him a sling ring, teleporting his daughter to a room.
"Where is Emily," Alex asked, his tone holding a growl.
"I had a room made for her, yours is next door, now," Smiling, I opened a portal to the Sahara Desert, and pushed him inside tossing him a scroll with the information how to open a portal like he had requested, normally I wouldn't do such a thing, throwing him a scroll and such, but his readings were so symmetrical I felt like this was the best way to teach him, instead of expecting him to sweat on reflect. "Show me how much knowledge you have, and how you can use it." With that said, I walked through the portal back to my office, taking a seat only to hear.
"I'll be honest with you, I already learned what I wanted…" He… learned the portal, immediately. How fascinating.

Learning to open portals was super easy, barely an inconvenience, now learning how to make bombs powerful enough to blow up buildings with twenty floors at a minimum, now that was a challenge, but fortunately for me the library in Karma-Taj had all the books I could've asked for.
Why would a place that is dedicated to the practice of the mystic arts have bomb making books? No idea, it really didn't make any sense, but I didn't care, so with those non magical books, I started to learn and practice.
As for the Ancient One, well, she was training Emily, remember when I said, maybe Emily has a knack for the mystical arts? Well, I was right, well, not entirely, according to the Ancient One, everyone has a knack for the mystic arts, but not everyone wants to learn, she was very Miyagi at times.
So, there she was, Emily practicing with the Ancient One how to open a portal, she had yet to succeed, but boy was she trying hard, it was funny really, because unlike the others the Ancient One didn't kicked her into a mountain or harsh place, right now the Ancient One was like Valerie Frizzle the teacher of the magical school bus, the teacher every kid wanted.
Anyway, back to me. Here I was making bombs, so far the first few ones I managed to make were weak, but I was getting there, my Bomb Making skill was getting there. [Bomb Making LV 35]
"How is the bomb making business?" The Ancient One inquired.
"You are surprisingly chill about all this," I replied, stopping what I was doing, I had already learned in a bad way things like Bomb Making needed all your attention, I almost lost a finger two days ago.
"You are killing terrorists, and also you refuse to join us, at least completely, meaning what you do is really none of my concern," The Ancient One smiled, taking a seat.
"Well, while joining sounds great, you know my reasons," Not being able to interfere in most affairs was a hard no for me, those affairs were EXP I was not going to give up. Also, some affairs I wanted to stop altogether.
"I understand, and I can respect it," The Ancient One nodded, "Your child will be a great sorceress." Considering she had the ability to see the future, that was good.
"So, have you decided what I can access from your magical library, and what I can not?" Part of me not joining was that I didn't have full access to the Magic related items.
"I have, you will have the same access everyone has," The Ancient One replied, once again surprising me.
"I thought only those that belong to the order had access to the library," I muttered.
"Oh that, that was a lie," The Ancient One chuckled, "I was trying to convince you to join, but in reality who has and who has not access to those books is my decision, I am the sorceress supreme, I can decide such things."
It's refreshing how honest she is, "I see,"
"You know you can stay here, right?" The Ancient One said, "Here Emily would be safe, and Hydra would never reach you."
As if being summoned, Goose walked into the room, purring.
Petting Goose, I looked at her and smiled, "I might take you up on that offer, but it might not be needed. After I destroy Hydra, I will be able to live anywhere… though most likely I will wait until Emily learns how to open a portal, so that she can come here and practice more,"
"Well, if you ever feel like living here, feel free to do so," The Ancient One chuckled, as she started to walk out of the room.
"Why are you so.. friendly with me?" I asked, I didn't understand why was she so accommodating with me.
The Ancient One hummed, "You are important, more so than you even realize." And with that she walked out of the room.
————————————————————————————————————-
One month later and I had done it, I had created the bombs that would fry Hydra out of my life, bombs with enough power to destroy their bases, bombs with a 0.8 kiloton of power in the bomb scale.
"Time to Amazon prime their asses!" I grinned, opening a portal to one of the bases, and throwing a bomb with a timer set for ten seconds.
And so the repeating cycle began, open portal, throw bomb, close portal, open portal, throw bomb, close portal, open portal, take a selfie, throw bomb, close portal.
I think this might be the most broken combination ever, I mean in only ten minutes I had destroyed 97 bases, and had leveled up five times. Heck, this was so motherfuckering effective I was planning on traveling around the world, discovering all the Hydra bases and then bombing them, it was literally an exp farm, then again… maybe I let them grow back again and farm them, my own EXP farm…
"Oh well," I shrugged, opening a portal and throwing a bomb.
————————————————————————————————————
[Nick Fury - POV]
Places around the USA were exploding like motherfuckering popcorn, and I fucking knew that little bastard was the one behind such explosions, I swear to God when I see him again, I will slap the bitch for not telling me!
I don't fucking care if the motherfucker is super strong or that he has a fucking man eating cat, the bitch will get the slap for not letting me know he was bombing Hydra, that was something I wanted in.
"What that hell is that?" I muttered as a yellow circle, a portal opened in front of me, and from it a letter fell off.
~Dear Fury, I know by this point you know what I am doing, sorry for not telling you, I owe you a beer, with love Alex~
"Hm," the bitch was still getting the slap, especially if he thought Nick Fury was so cheap that he could be bought with a beer!
36 CHAPTER 36

By the end of the first month in Karma-Taj, I had successfully eliminated Hydra from the USA, base wise, I mean, I knew there were some agents still out there, but bases and safehouses? Nope, they had all been blown up, needless to say Fury was whooping mad with me.
His texts were very graphic with how he would get his motherfuckering revenge for not keeping him up to day, he said, and I quote, "I don't fucking care if you went to the Oompa Loompa land to learn terrorist magic, I will fuck the Magic terrorist out of you."
To which I replied, "Bring it on bitch,"
Anyway, after hearing Fury rant about how irresponsibly mad my plan had been, I continued making bombs, because if I took into account how many bases were in the USA, and how many countries were in the world, well. I had to make at least 41.925 bombs, that's if each country had above two hundred bases like the USA.
As for Emily, she was still trying to make a portal, she wasn't close yet, but her circles with the sling ring were already making yellow sparks, and she had leveled up thanks to the Ancient One, it was surprising really, when we arrived Emily was level 3, now she's level 9, and has mana on her status, something she didn't have before.
As for me, well, killing some many Hydra bases had given me a massive amount of EXP, I was already level 105, and considering that when I started this was around level 90, well, I was doing good.
"I don't understand why she allows you access to all of our books, without being a part of our order," Who was that? Kal Mordo, [Kal Mordo LV 129] he and I didn't go along too well, he thought I was not as committed as I should be to the Mystic Arts, and I thought he was an ass for question my motives, I mean, if he had a problem, why not go to the big guy, or in this case the big girl, she is the boss here, not me, whining in my ear in a passive aggressive tone won't do shit.
"I don't know, and like I told before, ask the Ancient One," I was one question away from recording this answer, so that I could put in a boombox for him to hear.
Without saying anything, he left.
Anyway, back to sexy old me, I was not only level 105, but…. My INT and WIS had skyrocketed thanks to the teachings of the Ancient One. You see, after learning how to open portals, I was greeted by the cold revelation that I didn't have the required stats for most spells, so… I either had to level up and put some points into WIS and INT, or farm the old stats the old fashioned way.
I picked the latter.
It was hard though, because I had grown complacent of my power doing the learning for me, so… Well, it was like college all over again, thank goodness the Ancient One was pacient, because if I didn't ask her a thousand questions everytime we partook in something, well, let's just say if I didn't I wasn't there.
As I was saying, not only my INT and WIS had increased but also my other stats had increased as well, with good old training, I think I was shaping to be a spellsword, or a warrior mage, for how things were going.

And, that's where I stood now. Neat right? As for Transmutation, it was the hardest to learn, but I already knew how to make an endless beer mug, which alone made the spell… sooooo fucccccking worth iiiiit.

Transmutation the action of changing or the state of being into another form, one of the arguably more difficult schools of Magic.
"Concentrate," The Ancient One said, her eyes on me like a falcon on its prey.
"I am concentrating…" I replied.
The last few weeks, she had taken into her own hands teaching me transmutation, apparently creating a beer mug with endless beer was not a useful use for the arts of transmutation, she was obviously wrong, not about me needing to learn more about transmutation, but about the beer mug being useless, I knew people that would kill for that kind of power I mean, infinite beer, how was that not a god tier spell in the arts of transmutation?!
Anyway, the point was, she had taken into her own hands teaching me the arts of transmutation, and it was working to some extent.
"You need to visualize the change you want to see in the object," The Ancient One replied, circling me as she walked. "80% of transmutation is visualization, the rest is knowledge and creativity."
I knew that, but my powers limited certains aspects of learning, "I know that but.." before I could finish the sentence the Ancient One stopped me, with a swift move of her hand.
"I am aware of how your power works, and I am also aware you are using your power as an excuse for your own shortcomings, shortcomings you yourself have created in an illusion you can't do anything without your power." She.. Knew? "I am old, Mr. Walker, very old, and if there is one thing old age brings is wisdom and awareness, I might not know in full depth how your unique power works, but I know enough to know it's not the reason you are failing, you must trust yourself to learn outside the lines your power brings you, work with your power not for your power."
"So you're saying… I should ignore my power when learning?" I asked, my hands running down my hair as she looked at me.
"No, what I'm saying is… you define the lines of your own understanding, your power has limits, everything does, and while those limits are ever changing, you can bend and learn more things than you could possibly imagine… if only you saw beyond what's in front of you." The Ancient One smiled, as an illusion of Emily appeared, "By your power standards, should Emily be capable of opening a portal?"
She was LV 15, and considering the amount of INT and WIS the scroll required, I would say no, "No," I shook my head.
"Look," The Ancient One pointed to the illusion of Emily successfully opening her first portal, making me feel immensely proud. "You see? This is a live feed of her right now, do you see it now? Lines are meant to be erased, she erased the lines of her own box."
"I'm so proud of her," I smiled watching her jump and down happy she had managed to open a portal.
"Your own symmetry is both helping you and holding you down," The Ancient One added, snapping her fingers, closing the live feed. "Your power is… terrifyingly symmetrical, it works and functions perfectly, like a machine so to speak, but your soul, it's not symmetrical, and it shouldn't be… meaning at times both things will collide and have some… difficulties working together, and it's up to you to make it work, symmetry and asymmetry both must be in harmony."
My power, symmetrical, well that's one way to describe the gamer, "I will try with all my might."
"I know you will," The Ancient One smiled.
"So…." I smiled, trying to find a way out of class for today. I had to congratulate Emily, she had created her first working portal, and while yes it was small, and it didn't last long, she was on her way to be a sorceress.
"You want to congratulate her, don't you?" The Ancient One asked, her tone clearly amused, "Go ahead, class dismissed."
————————————————————
As soon as The Ancient One dismissed me, I opened a portal to where Emily was, and tackled her into a bear hug, "I am so god damn proud of you!"
"I will be strong like you!" Emily declared with a giggle.
"Well champ, I ain't gonna make that race easy for you," I grinned, "I mean, I do have to be strong for when… forget about it, you will never meet boys."
"Huh?" Emily tilted her head to the side in confusion.
"Nothing," I assured her, "Now, who wants to go to Italy to get some real pizza?!" I asked with a grin.
"Oh oh, can I open the portal?" Emily asked with a wide smile, as I tried to figure out a way to tell her no without breaking her eager heart.
Her portal was only big enough to transport a small dog, maybe a medium one if said dog was skinny, "Maybe next time?" I smiled.
"Is it because my portals are small?" Emily asked, narrowing her eyes on me.
"Yes, and you don't know where Italy is, do you want pizza or not," I smiled.
"I do want pizza, fine… but when I get a portal big enough for you to travel in, you will let me!" Emily declared, puffing her chest out, like a pigeon trying to look bigger, she was so fucking adorable!
"You got it," I nodded with a wink.

[Nick Fury POV]
Bring it on bitch?! BRING IT ON BITCH, oh hell no, no friend of mine was going to challenge me like that.
"Sir, why are we going to Nepal?" Coulson, the new agent I had been assigned to train asked.
"I have a magician to slap, and a free beer to get," I replied, mystic ass or not, he was going to get his, for no one makes a fool of Nick Motherfuckering Fury!
As if on cue, a note fell into my lap, saying ~Fury, I am no longer in Nepal, aka the man you will never catch, by the way, want to grab a beer this Sunday?~
I hate enhanced individuals…

I met with Fury at a bar in Nepal, where he tried to slap me for doing what now was considered America's greatest terrorist attack, he was in a way, both happy Hydra had almost no foot in the USA, and angry, I had eliminated them the way I did, without telling him.
"I still can't believe you bombed their asses," Fury sighed, a small smile perking up his lips, beer at hand.
"Well, crazy or not, you can't say it wasn't efficient," I replied with a smile of my own, as I asked the bartender to refill my drink.
"Nobody can say that, but nobody can know you did that, the government would go bat crazy if they knew someone had the ability to bomb any location at any given time," Fury chuckled, taking a sip of his drink, "Which is why this attack was done by Equinox,"
I raised an eyebrow at that, "Equinox?"
"It's how shield is naming the one responsible behind those bombings, a new terrorist organization," Fury elaborated, "They assume that behind this attack, there is an organization, one that is a threat to the world, to the country, obviously they assume wrong, but that works for us, right?"
I nodded, "I plan on bombing the other bases around the world too, weakening Hydra even more,"
"How many bases do you think there are around the world?" Fury asked.
"I don't know, a few thousand at least," I shrugged.
"Hydra really plays by the Mythos," Fury chuckled, "But… so do we, now we have our own Heracles, the mighty demigod that will slay the beast, saving us all."
I snorted at that, "I suppose,"
"How's little Emily, and… the human eating cat?" Fury inquired.
"They are doing fine," I replied, deciding not to tell Fury about Emily's training with the Ancient One, in fact, he knew nothing of her, for now, I would keep that information. "How's the new partner?" I asked, looking at Coulson, who was out cold, thanks to my magic beer.
"He's okay, a bit naïve, but we all go through that phase," Fury replied, taking a sip of his beer, "He has a good heart, and wants to help the world, so, he's okay in my books."
"It could've been worse," I chuckled, remembering the first thing that Fury asked me when I greeted him at the bar, is Coulson clean, aka is Coulson with Hydra, the look of relief when I nodded, was precious.
"It could've been worse," Fury chuckled.
"So, any missions?" I asked.
"You know that's classified, but no, no missions, for now," Fury replied, "After Hydra is gone, would you consider working for Shield?"
I laughed, "I won't change a master for another Fury, but I can be a contractor, if you have the dough…" I grinned.
"I suppose that works, I never expected you to join us, I mean, you following protocol?" Fury snorted, "I think I would have better luck with the lottery there."
"Amen," I chuckled, raising my mug of beer.
"Well, no that this hasn't been good, but I have to go," Fury said, standing up from the bar stool, "If I ever happen to need you, I will call you at this number," at this he handed me a phone, one of those phones people used once and threw again.
"You will, in one year," I winked, grabbing the phone. It was, after all, 1993, November. Meaning it one year, and a few months, Fury would need me, Captain Marvel was coming.
"I feel like I should ask, but I also feel you won't answer, so fuck it, bye," Fury waved, grabbing the unconscious Coulson.
"Bye," I waved back, seeing Fury exit the now empty bar.

[December - 1993]
It was my first real X-Mas with Emily, and we were celebrating like we should have been since we escaped Hydra. As for gifts, everyone gave something to Emily, The Ancient One, gave her a bracelet with protection spells, I gave her a bag I enchanted to have bigger space than it should have, and I also gave her an invisible ring that allowed me to know where she was at all times, thanks to the location spell the ring had, Fury gave her a taser with enough firepower to knock down a rhino, a big one, and Goose gave her the privilege of letting Emily pet her on her belly, for that day only of course.
Oh, I also gave her a pair of VIT enhanced earrings.
"This is for you," Emily said, snapping me out of my dream boat.
I looked at her hands to see a badly wrapped present, which only helped to melt my heart, why? Well it was obvious she had wrapped the present herself, "I wonder what it is?" I asked with a teary smile.
"Open it!" Emily giggled.
With care, I tore the gift wrap open, to see the first thing I have given her, the coloring book, accompanied by a picture of us sleeping on the couch together after Disney movie night with a letter that said.
~I know you didn't plan to have me, and that I was forced upon you in a difficult situation, I know you had to sacrifice a lot to keep me safe, I know it all, I know that even with all that, you never stopped loving me anyways, thanks for being there for me, and I hope you continue being there for me, for I couldn't ask for a better Dad, and I will try to be the best possible daughter, with love. Emily Walker~
I said I would not cry, but come on! How can I not after this?! "This is… I think I have an allergy to the Ancient One's cookies,"
"You are a terrible liar, Mr. Walker," The Ancient One replied amused.
"I know," I chuckled, hugging Emily with a bear hug.
"I love you, thanks for being my dad," Emily said with a soft tone.
I smiled, ruffling her hair, "Now and always, little champ."

Mini portals, my new favorite attack of choice, hear me out, you see when you close portals anything in between gets cut, and here is where mini portals go in, I open one the attackers hand goes through, and I close it down, smaller means lets chance of dodging, and a faster close time, and I was practicing that shit all day long.
Now, the thing with mini portals was that they were harder to maintain, in short, opening a normal portal used to transport people was easier than opening a portal the size of a fist, also this mini portal trick was not always infallible, the portals regardless of the size had a limited cutting power, which makes me think that's the reason Dr. Strange didn't use them to cut Thanos' hand.
"You have improved a lot," The Ancient One commented, drinking her usual afternoon tea.
"Thanks," I smiled, as I continued my cycle of opening and closing portals to increase my speed doing so.
"Any new missions you have in mind?" The Ancient One asked, making conversation.
"I will travel, find more Hydra bases, and well, you know the rest," I replied, summoning a bomb from my inventory, "Eventually, I will get them all,"
"That sounds grand," The Ancient One chuckled, "Emily is starting transmutation tomorrow,"
I looked at her, a curious expression drawing on my face, "She is?" I asked, stopping my practice.
"Yes, she has quite a knack for it," The Ancient One nodded, "Soon, she might be the one protecting you,"
I chuckled, "I'll be happy as long as she can protect herself,"
"Well, that's any father's wish, isn't it?" The Ancient One replied with an amused tone. "So, when do you leave for your mission?"
"Tomorrow," This time, I didn't feel bad for leaving, because I would come back every night, portals were quite convenient, meaning no matter where I was, I always had the option to go back home.
"That's quite soon, but understandable," The Ancient One commented, "I wish you the best of lucks, hunting the demons that haunt you, Mr. Walker."
"You can call me Alex, you know that right?" I chuckled.
"I know, but it sounds better Mr. Walker, doesn't it?" The Ancient One replied with a smirk, leaving the room. That was a woman I would never understand, she was friendly yet you never felt like her friend, she was caring, yet you never felt entirely safe around her, all and all she was a walking mystery.
"DAD!" And that's Emily. "I am starting transmutation magic tomorrow!" Emily exclaimed in an elated tone, as she tackled me into a hug, behind her, Goose came into view, purring.
"I am happy for you," I smiled, patting her in the head, as Goose rubbed her face on my leg saying hi.
"Wanna celebrate? The Ancient One gave me a pizza coupon she had in her office," Emily offered.
"Sounds good, but not today, I am leaving to do something," I said, kissing her forehead, "Worry not, I will more than not sleep in my room here, but… some days I might not be here,"
"You're going after them, right?" Emily muttered.
"Yes," I nodded.
"Will you be okay?" Emily asked, and I smiled, hugging her tight.
"Emily, Hydra can't hurt us anymore," I was now beyond their reach, and I would make sure they learned that.
"Ok," Emily smiled, a sad smile. "Don't let those baddies hurt you,"
"I won't," I grinned, "They won't know what's coming. At this Goose purred, meowing to get my attention.
"Yes Goose, they shall fear your name too," I nodded.
Goose purred happily at that.
"Take this," Emily said, handing me a small coin, "The Ancient One said is for luck, so… it might help you,"
[Coin of the Seven Lucky Gods - Tier Unknown - It grants the owner 15% extra LUK when consumed.]
"Thanks," I smiled, putting the coin on the inventory.
"You're welcome!" Emily smiled, grabbing Goose from the floor as she noticed the time on the clock of my room, "I need to go, I'm late for class!" and with that she ran away, taking Goose with her.
"You knew she was going to give me the coin, didn't you?" I asked, feeling the Ancient's One presence as I did so.
"It was a possibility," The Ancient One replied, "You are getting good at feelings my presence,"
"Well, you did tell me you were going to test me on that, so… I studied," I winked, walking out of the room.
--
Next morning, I woke up and had a big breakfast, then after hugging Emily goodbye, I opened a portal to Canada, my next target to cleanse from the grasp of Hydra. In Canada all I had to do was get on few planes, encountering the map, and well, the next step was easy, meaning all I had to do was go to the airport, if my calculations were right in two weeks, flying to every corner of the country in commercial flying I would know it all about Hydra Canada, also known as the polite division of Hydra, ok enough stereotypes, time to walk out of the airport bathroom, which was where I had opened my portal.
"OH MY GOD!" As soon as I opened the bathroom door of the stall I had teleport in, I saw a couple having sex.
[Jeremy White LV 9, [Andrea Sanchez LV 11]
"Hmm, not the best place to do it," I hummed, as the couple scurried to get dressed.
"Where did you come from?!" the man asked, or rather demanded.
"From the bathroom… I mean… you just saw me walk from the stall," I pointed at the stall.
"I checked before… you know!" The man hissed, as his girlfriend… no, it can be the girlfriend, bathroom sex on a airport? That's more like a fling, or prostitute, or a girl with really low standards.
"Before you know? you mean before you started FUCKING? Please don't hold back from saying it, we are both adults," I rolled my eyes, "Well, I am off to my flight, though a piece of advice, get a motel, sex on the airport bathroom? That's sad, on many levels," I chuckled, tossing the man fifty bucks for a cheap motel, "Today's on me, have fun like it was intended, on a place that won't get you arrested, then again, maybe you are into that, so I won't judge," I shrugged, walking out of the bathroom.

Canada was surprisingly clean of the disease known as Hydra, well as clean as they could be, as clean as anyone could be considering everything. And so far in the two weeks I've been coming and going off Canada and Nepal, I have managed to discover 69 bases, which was literally nothing compared to what the amount the USA had at one point, which made me wonder how many bases did Germany had, I mean they started there, I think, I never read about Hydra and their beginnings, never really cared about them, until this world happened.
Anyway, now that I knew where all the bases in Canada were located with precision, it was time to bomb them, so, one by one I started to open the portals, dropping my holly jolly Christmas gifts like Papa Noel on crack, ho ho ho on them bitches. I continued doing this, until in one of the bases, I saw something as I was about to drop the bomb, a glimpse of information in one of the computers that stopped me from bombing the place.
The location of the Winter Soldier, the only one they still had. "Well, ain't that interesting," I smirked, putting the bomb back in my inventory as I jumped through the portal into the base.
"Intruder!" Six seconds to notice me, not bad I suppose.
Without stopping, I looked at the Hydra agents raising their guns, as I made my way to the computer where I had caught the glimpse of information about Bucky and his location, then with a quick glance, I memorized where Bucky was, according to the computer, he was in one of the Siberian bases, as I did this, they all started shooting at me, but I paid them no mind, the Eldritch Shield would take care of any attacks. "Alright, I have what I need." I nodded, dropping the bomb on the floor as I opened a portal out of there. "Enjoy~" I waved at them, as the portal closed, seconds later, a big explosion was heard in the distance.
Now, the question was, do I kill Bucky, or try to save him, as I am now, both are very possible, "I guess, I will know when I see him," I muttered, opening a portal to Siberia, a few miles away from the coordinates I had seen in the computer.
--
Outside the base in Siberia, I used [sight] to assess the situation within, and so far, I saw nothing that would make my mission extremely difficult, in fact, it would be a breeze for what it looked like. "Now where are you Bucky," I muttered, looking through the place, stopping when something caught my attention, a dot moving on my minimap, using [Sight] I changed my view to that moving dot, seeing none other than Bucky Barnes getting back from a mission on his motorcycle, meaning, I could bomb the base, and deal with him. "Hello there," I grinned, opening a portal to where he was.
Stepping out of the portal, I stopped his motorcycle with my telekinesis, shattering the tires with ease. Outside, the night was cold, as a winter-like chill permeated the air, I guess that's Siberia for you.
Bucky, who had just now recovered from the sudden intervention of my telekinesis on his bike that had made him crash against a tree violently, started shooting at me with his assault rifle, all while I opened a portal to the base a few miles behind us, dropping one of my merry jolly holly bombs inside the base, I really didn't need to focus on Bucky right now, my [Eldritch Shield] was more than sufficient to stop his bullets.
Seconds later after dropping the bomb, a big explosion was heard at the distance, as Bucky glared at me in realization, "It was you… you are the one destroying our bases,"
I smiled, as innocently as possible, "I am," I nodded.
"I will kill you," Bucky stated, with a growl as I inspected his level, [Bucky Barnes LV 134] Oh, he had leveled up, good for him.
"Do we have to do this Bucky?" I inquired, "Hydra will soon be no more, I can help you… you know?"
"Alex Walker.", the Winter Soldier replied "You are nothing but a broken tool, a reckless murderer who leaves a trail of blood everywhere he goes. Today, I will end your life." funny coming from Mr. Brainwash.
I almost chuckled at his bravado. I knew in terms of physical prowess he was stronger than me, but I wasn't only a warrior, I was also a mage, I guess what I am trying to say is... who brings a gun to a magic fight.
"Very well then," I sighed, "Shall we?" though, I was curious, curious of finding out how far away were our physical might, so for a bit, I would test my might against him, I mean, I could always stop him with my magic, or telekinesis, right now, I just wanted to have some fun. "But first," I winked, breaking his guns with telekinesis, what I wanted was an old fist fight, no guns allowed.
With growl showing his annoyance, Bucky quickly closed the gap between us, darting at me with lethal precision, sending a flying kick my way. Seeing through his attack, I caught his foot as it arrived, only to receive a kick from the second foot on my chest.
"Ok, this is fun," I chuckled, much to his surprise.
"You are crazy," Bucky scoffed.
"True," I nodded, rushing at him, using my momentum to punch his face with a [focused strike].
In pain, Bucky staggered back. But soon turned around, using his metal arm to punch my guts, breaking a few of my ribs in the process, then as I doubled over in pain he kneed my face with savage strength, throwing me into the snow, once on the snow, gasping in pain, he jumped on me and started to choke me with his metal arm, as I started to question my choices, why was I even doing this?
"Ok, time to use magic," I sighed in a strained voice, nose bleeding on the snow as he continued to choke me. It was time to play on my terms, I had already tested my strength, and while I could win in the long run, it would be painful, and I wanted no pain. "Well, that's enough," I roared, breaking his hold with my telekinesis, then using my [Eldritch Whip] I wrapped him with lasso, sealing his movements immobilizing him in place, with sigh I approached the struggling Bucky, slamming my palm to his chest, summoning the Eldritch power within me to pull his spirit out. "Should've started with that…" I chuckled.
{What… in the actual fuck!?} The disembodied voice of Bucky spirit growled, floating around me angrily.
"Shut it," I sighed, healing my wounds with a potion.

With the now soulless body of Bucky in my room in Nepal, I started to research how to undo brainwashes, all while Bucky's astral form floated around my room without saying a word, only glaring.
"The longer he stays outside his body, the harder it will be for him to adapt," The Ancient One said as she entered my room, giving me a cup of tea.
"Any ideas how to undo his Hydra brainwash?" I asked with a deep breath, taking a sip of the tea she had graciously brought me.
"There are a few spells that come to mind, but the results vary, so it's not a sure path to victory," The Ancient One replied, humming at the thought, "But… why are you asking me, after all, Mr. Walker, you already know how to save him, don't you?" she had a point, I knew how, Charles Xavier, but I really didn't want to owe the guy a favor, I didn't have any hard feelings against him, but I didn't have any good either.
"Fine… I will contact Raven," I sighed, "But… do you have a spell to bind him or something, at least until he… behaves?" I knew I could subdue him, but I didn't want to chase his ass to do it.
"As a matter of fact, I do," The Ancient One chuckled, amused at my dilemma, as she approached the soulless body of Bucky, "I will put a restraining rune on his body, it should be enough to keep him from acting out."
Carving the rune on his forehead, the Ancient One pulled Bucky's spirit back to his body. "I will… I will… what?"
"He will be for the most time, a confused little puppy," The Ancient One smiled, patting Bucky on the head, "But if he happens to break the restraining rune, I trust you have the power and knowledge to stop him."
"Ok," I sighed, pulling my phone out of my inventory to call Raven.
"I… who am I?" Bucky asked, touching his face, "Who are you?" he said, touching my face.
"To the corner," I chuckled, grabbing him by the neck, like a cat with my [telekinesis, moving him to the corner, away from me, as I called Raven.
"Alex?" Raven answered at the second beep.
"Wow, that was fast," I actually didn't know if they were going to answer.
"I gave you this number in case you ever needed something, I wasn't about to hang up on you," Raven replied from the other side of the line, amused. "So, what do you need?"
"I need Charles," I sighed.
"For what?" Raven asked, her tone now more serious.
"I have a… friend?... No, I barely know him... I have an ...acquaintance, yeah that's it, I have an acquaintance that was brainwashed by Hydra, and… well, who else but Charles to clean that up?" I replied, looking at the clueless Bucky, sitting on the corner like a child with a timeout.
"I see," Raven sighed, "Charles is… he doesn't really want to help others right now, he's mourning the loss of Jean."
"I know, but… this guy, he needs his help, Bucky is nothing but a weapon following the orders of monsters," I replied.
"Well, I guess I can give you his address but I don't think you will get anything," Raven sighed once again, giving me Charles' location.
"Thanks," I thanked her. Without her, it would've taken me a few weeks to find where he was.
"Don't thank me yet, he might say no," Raven muttered, "Have fun trying though," and with that she hanged up, rude, I didn't get to say bye.
"Ok, let's go buddy," I said, grabbing Bucky with my [Telekinesis] as I opened a portal to where Charles was, gotta love my map.
--
Stepping out of the portal, with Bucky floating behind me thanks to my [Telekinesis, I looked around to see where I had teleported to, trees, birds, and lots of insects, a forest, great, and by the looks of it, a forest with a single house within a 20 mile radius, at least according to my map. "Charles," I shouted.
"Of all the people I expected a visit from, you were the last," I heard him chuckle in a bitter tone, as he came into view from the back of his house. He looked… terrible, like he had been drinking his pain away, like he was one beer away from having cirrhosis.
"Well, you did try to * my mind a couple times," I replied with a shrug, "I need your help,"
Charles looked at me, his wheelchair stopping at the door of his house, "I can't help you,"
Great, he was going emo on me, "Look, you aren't my first option, your not even on the top ten, but unfortunately you are very efficient, this guy, is like me, but worse, he was actually brainwashed into obeying Hydra, and you are the key to his freedom,"
"I promised I would not interfere anymore, not after what happened to Jean, I… I killed her," Charles hissed.
"She is not dead, she ascended to another plane, you bald idiot," I sighed, "She is alive, very much so, and one day, she might come back," that was a lie, a big one, not the fact that she was alive, but the fact she could come back.
"More of your secret knowledge I presume," Charles chuckled bitterly.
"Yes, now you can one, help this guy, and make Jean proud, or two, let him die, because he might as well die, if he has no freedom," I replied.
"Is… is she truly alive?" Charles asked, his eyes looking at me, trying to find in me a reason to keep going.
"Yes, though technically she is now a God, so… pray to her?" I chuckled.
"I will help you… if only because you saved Raven, when I was too stubborn to accept my own mistakes," Charles eventually said, after a few seconds of silence.
"That works for me," I nodded.
"Let's see if I still have it," Charles muttered, "I mean, I haven't been able to pick anything from you, not a single thought," oh yeah, I had forgotten, thanks to the Phoenix fiasco, I had gained [Psychic Immunity]
"I have trained my mind, to keep you out," I grinned, happy he had decided to help

According to Charles, even with his immense psychic powers, it would take him a few months to completely erase the programming Bucky had endured for so many years, so with that said, I left Bucky with him, Charles, after all, he was strong enough to deal with the broken soldier, and perhaps helping Bucky would give Charles a new sense of belonging, a new mission in life, time would tell.
As for me, well, with Bucky in the process of being saved under Charles's care, I was focusing on other things, like helping Emily with her transmutation homework, trying to become a geneticist to understand the super soldier serum, and training on the gym, and such, as for my Hydra quest, no the personal one, but the gamer one, well, I was apparently five bases short from destroying the twenty something I needed to complete the quest, if I had to take a guess, I would say the bases the quest counted were the main ones, but honestly I didn't care much for that, without Bucky, Hydra was at best a nuisance, a fly under my thumb.
I was also focusing on making money, well, not so much making money, but on blatantly copying ideas from my world, to make money, like Facebook, there was no Facebook here, or Amazon, there was no Amazon here, meaning I could capitalize on such ideas, to multiply my money.
I already had enough liquid capital to start, all I needed was to code the entire thing, and build the business model from basically zero. Funny thing, Ebay does exist here, weird right, Amazon doesn't exist, but Ebay does, the weirdest thing is, Ebay came after Amazon.
As for what I needed the money for? Well, many reasons, heck the list was nearly infinite, for one, I wanted to invest in the Extremis project, which sounded like a nice power boost, which meant I was about to erase Iron-Man 3 out of the canon timeline altogether. I also wanted money because, well, Gamer power or not, Money is basically an infinity stone in every universe, also… who doesn't like being rich? Realistically no one would ever reject such a thing.
I had also bought stocks in Starks industries, which right now were at an all time low, because of Tony being depressed and all, but I knew soon those stocks would triple their price, reason why I had invested a few millions in his company.
"I got a B!" Emily exclaimed as she entered my room, a frown on her face.
"I didn't know the Ancient One had a grading system," It really took me by surprise, I don't recall seeing her grading anyone, I mean, she does look at you when you fuck something up, but that's it.
"I asked her to grade me," Emily pouted.
"Well, I am sure you will get an A next time," I smiled, ruffling her hair.
"I will!" Emily declared with a new found fire within her.
"Oh my, to think grading someone would push them so much towards the path of success, maybe I should've graded you," The Ancient One chuckled, as she walked into my room.
"No thanks," I didn't like that idea at all.
"How is business going, Mr. Walker?" The Ancient One asked, her eyes on me.
"I just started investing, and hiring programmers, so… slow I guess?" I replied.
"Well, everyone has to start somewhere, don't you think?" With that she left, once again leaving me to wonder, what was she all about.
"Can we go to the market to buy some cereal?" Emily said, seconds after the Ancient One left.
"Sure," I nodded, as Emily opened a portal to the market in Nepal.
--
Back from the Market, I continued studying about genetics slowly but surely, rising my level on it, until an idea came to mind, a completely unrelated idea to what I was doing, but brilliant one nonetheless, what if I could connect my map to a satellite above the earth? I mean, I didn't have the option to connect my map to anything, but…. If the satellite were to be mine, there could be a chance where it would be possible to connect my map to it, in the process discovering where every enemy I have on earth was?
I mean, it was an idea/theory worth investing some time into it, because regardless of if my map could or could not work with said satellite, a satellite was always a welcomed tool to anyone's arsenal, now that I think about, I could also invest some time learning how to code AI, I mean, it could be beneficial having a highly intelligent AI helping me with my projects.
"I guess, I could call my AI, Corn, or Crow," I hummed, getting more and more excited with the idea, "Fuck it, I will create my own AI." Though I would have to make sure, I didn't create a second Ultron by mistake, Ultron was not what I wanted, a Jarvis was what I wanted.
As I pondered about my new personal goal, I got a call, from no other than Fury.
"Fury?" I answered the phone.
"No, the Easter Bunny, of course it's me," I swear Fury is like a cat, I just can't get mad at him.
"Well, what can I do for you buddy?" I asked.
"Well, I need your help," Fury said, as I looked at the Calendar, it was still 1994, early 1994. So either Captain Marvel had decided to come a year earlier, or he had another problem.
"Where are you?" I asked.
"In New York, by your old apartment," Fury replied.
"Ok, on my way," I said, opening a portal to where he was.
"Ain't that efficient," Fury whistled, hanging up the phone, as I stepped out of the portal.
"Why are you here though?" I asked, wondering why of all places he had picked my old house in New York to call me.
"It was the only place I could think of," Fury sighed, "Look, I think Hydra… is… well, the motherfuckers are acting," so it wasn't Captain Marvel.
"What do you mean?" I asked.
"Well, you've been bombing their asses left and right, and I think they have changed their approach about how to proceed with their plans," Fury started to explain, his eyes full of worry, "In the last few months, a lot of agents have been hired, and some of our best, have been fired, in a terrible way things have started to get weird, I think… it's them, they are absorbing SHIELD, taking over in a rather aggressive way, and well, you are the only fucker I know that has experience with them."
"Are you sure it's them?" I mean, realistically chances were, it was them, but this seemed out of character for them, they were more of the type that took their time moving the pieces.
"Well, it's either them, or Shield is going to hell," Fury sighed, "Look, all I need is for you to do your voodoo magic thing, and see if we are clean, if we are, well, that's on me, but if we are not, I need you to help me clean SHIELD from Hydra's grasp,"
With a smile I nodded, "Of course, I not only hate them, but I consider you a friend, so let's kick some Hydra ass,"
"Friend, huh?" Fury chuckled, "I guess I could do worse,"
"I take great offense to that," I scoffed.

With the help of Fury I infiltrated S.H.I.E.L.D. Though it was more like he hired me, though to be fair I was using a different name, Tom Robertson, anyways, regardless of the how, I was inside of S.H.I.E.L.D, helping Fury unveil the mystery behind the change of said organization.
Which was surprisingly easy to unveil, it took me literally eight minutes to see that the ones inside S.H.I.E.L.D were a mix of Hydra and the Skrull.
No wonder the organization was falling apart, the Skrull and Hydra had different goals.
"So, you are telling me, Aliens, and Hydra are fucking with SHIELD?!" Fury hissed as I nodded at his comment.
"I don't know what you want to do with the Aliens, but I already killed ten Hydra agents within," I replied.
"You already ki… of course you did," Fury nodded, taking a deep breath as he rubbed his temples, "I am too old for this shit,"
"You're in your forties," I snorted.
"Which is too old to deal with a fucking alien invasion, and Hydra as a topping!" Fury shot back, as I raised my hands in surrender with a chuckle.
"Look, you have me, and I am more than enough to deal with Hydra and the Skrull," I stated, so far according to my readings with my power, the Skrull were barely above human in terms of levels, which meant they were at best slightly more annoying to deal with than Hydra.
"The Skrull, even their name is creepy," Fury sighed, "How many?"
"Fifteen Skrull, and thirty Hydra agents," I answered, so far that was the count I had, which meant there were more. "But those numbers are just for this base," I clarified.
"Ok, ok, cool, we can deal with that right?" Fury sighed. "I mean, you alone have probably the highest kill count a man will ever have in Hydra terms,"
"True," I nodded, summoning my infinite beer mug.
"Get me one," Fury requested, to which I obliged, giving him a beer mug, an infinite one. "God, Magic beer is so goddamn good… anyways, Hydra is just your average Monday at this point, the ones that worry me is the Skrull,"
"All they want is a planet to reside in," I said, getting his attention.
"You know them?" Fury inquired, beer mug at hand.
"Heavens no, but I know their motives," I replied, "They are at war with… god I forgot their name, but they are at war with someone, and that war eventually led them to earth,"
"I see," Fury sighed, "Are they bad? For us humans?"
At this I nodded, "Yes and no, in an ideal world, it would be best if we didn't have them on earth, but they can't leave," not without dealing with the Kree… the Kree! That's their name, oof, I almost forgot about them.
"Ok, ok, I think I can work with that, shapeshifters, right?" Fury asked and I nodded, surprised he figured that out alone, "Ok, we know who they are and their motives, the rest is easy."
"I think the best course of action is capturing their leader," I nodded.
"Then let's get to it," Fury grinned.
"Or…" I smiled, opening a portal to where the leader of the Skrull was, Talos. "We can talk to him,"
"What in… the actual fuck?!" Talos exclaimed in human guise, aiming a gun at us. [Talos - LV 47]
"Talos, general of the Skrull, Fury, agent of SHIELD, talk," I said, breaking Talos' gun with my telekinesis.
"You sure work fast," Fury said, clearing his throat, as he turned to look at Talos, "Let's talk,"
Talos feeling understandably outmatched, showed his true face, "I suppose I don't have any other choice,"
"No, you don't," I nodded.
--
It took Fury and Talos one hour to come to a peaceful agreement, Talos would stop trying to take over SHIELD, and would help Fury clean SHIELD from Hydra's grasp.
As for me, with that all set and done, I used my map within the SHIELD base I was in, and once I had located every Hydra agent that had managed to infiltrate the organization, I killed them, I did the same for every SHIELD base in the country, killing around 1200 Hydra agents.
Effectively completing the quest.
[YOU HAVE LEVELED UP!]
[YOU HAVE LEVELED UP!]
[YOU HAVE LEVELED UP!]
I have to say, this has been the easiest quest I have ever had the pleasure of doing since I appeared into this world, I mean, fifteen million bucks for a day's work, I call that stonks.
[CASH = 16.000.789]
Not only that, but I got a new skill thanks to the completion of the quest, [Danger Sense] It's basically Spidey's thing, it was the ???? reward, so nice.
--
Two months later after my quest within SHIELD, I decided to start on a new project, yes, yes I know, I already had many projects, the one of me becoming a geneticist, and the one of me becoming a billionaire, but like those two, this project was also very important, for it would drastically increase my chances of survival, I needed, an armor.
Hear me out, strong or not, suits of armor were essential for extra protection, and I didn't mean a suit like Tony's, no I meant something more classical, a mix of magic and strength.
"Though, what materials should I use," I hummed, for in the Marvel Universe, there were many, many, many, materials that one could use, like Uru, or Vibranium, or Adamantium, though considering Uru is out of my reach for now, I think Vibranium and Adamantium are my best bets.
Which meant, if I really wanted to do this, to have a suit of armor of my own, I had to find a way to contact no other than Ulysses Klaus, the Vibranium stealer.
Grabbing my phone, I called Fury, "Fury,".
"Yes?" Fury said from the other side of the line.
"I need you to help me find a person," I replied.
"I have a feeling I won't like this, but, who?" Fury replied after two seconds of silence.
"Ulysses Klaus," I replied.
"I was right, I do not like this," Fury sighed, "I will see what can I do," with that said, he hung up.
"Time to gear up," I declared in my room, for things were about to get interesting.
[New Quest Created: A suit of Armor, time to gear up.

————————————————————————————
With Fury working on finding out where Ulysses was and how I could get in contact with the man, I focused on other things, like leveling up doing dungeons and such, and also in advancing some of my other projects, like deciphering the super soldier serum, as I was now, my level in the art genetics was high, but not high enough to decode the formula from an amputated arm, but I was getting there, I just needed time, and eventually I would crack the code, a good part of being a gamer is that no skill is ever out of my reach.
As for my plan with Ulysses, well, I would steal from him, I knew the man had vibranium, according to my MCU knowledge, he had a dealing with a prince of Wakanda two years ago, meaning the bastard had vibranium, vibranium I would repossess, then after I had the Vibranium, well, I would see from there how to forge my armor.
As for where I was right now? Well, about to do a dungeon, I had found quite a few of my level and above on my never ending hunt of Hydra.
[The Forsaken LV 115-120
Enter = Yes/No]
I was level 116, so I was there within the level zone.
"Time to level up," I smiled, pressing the Yes button.
--
Two hours in the dungeon, I had discovered monsters of my level were relatively easy to kill, the dungeon in question was filled to the brim with undead beasts that had magic at their unholy disposal, nonetheless, even without using magic, destroying them was a relatively easy task, and one I seemed to particularly excel at, though, as Gamer, one always know the difficulty of the dungeon is not on the trash mobs, in on the dungeon boss.
[Ro'Thur LV 120 - General of The Forsaken]
I had yet to test my might against him, but from the get go, he was four levels ahead of me, and looked positively terrifying, he towered over me in size, and his mana was so big it could be felt without being close to him, and to top it all, his entire being emanated a type of miasma that looked particularly dangerous, at times like this I wished I had a dungeon guide.
"So you have finally come!" Ro'Thur's voice boomed around the cave he was in, grinning like a mad man at the sight of bloodshed.
Questioning how he had felt my presence, I took a step out of the shadows, "Hello," I waved at him, not used to dungeon creatures talking back to me.
"My king has demanded your head, human, and I shall deliver!" Ro'Thur declared, "For this is the last time to get in his way!" oh, so he's like a literal game boss, an AI perhaps, with role playing settings, neat.
"Shut up, you big bulk of EXP!" I chuckled, trying to see his response, but instead of saying anything, the undead general glared at me, and with a loud battlecry charged at me. Fortunately I had already foreseen such an event, and had been in a defensive stance, which allowed me the time I needed to parry the undead's first blow with a magic circle.
"Your insolence ends today, mortal!" The Undead General roared, throwing a few punches my way that I dodged by jumping back.
"Well, if we must roleplay," I grinned, pushing him back with my telekinesis, "Bow to your master, mongrel," ah, this was my dnd wet dream, well, without the chance of dying.
"Such hubris!" The Undead hissed, blocking two of my attacks as I used, [Savagery, before attempting to counter with a shadow bolt, which was basically a mana bolt, with extra effects, it drained your mana for the same amount of damage it dealt on you, however as the shadow bolt was about to reach me, I opened a portal in front of me to the dungeon's entrance, effectively nullifying his attack.
Smiling at the fact he was taking my attacks head on, I rushed at him, as I saw him exhale, fists tight to his waist. Seeing as he was taking me head on instead of using other tactics, I realized something, this would be the best opportunity to test [Savagery] to the fullest extent, a skill which made each hit stronger than the last. Opening a portal behind him, I jumped out delivering a horizontal kick that Undead blocked with a mana shield that shattered under the pressure. The unexpected mana shield threw me off balance for a second, and for the looks of it, the general intended to milk this opportunity.
Blasting me with a [Great Shadow Bolt, I was thrown against the wall, quite literally, as he advanced forward trying to deliver a [Shadow Strike] two attacks I hadn't seen in this dungeon so far until now, unlike [Shadow Bolt] which was a common spell on the dungeon, taking a deep breath, I looked at him, and using my telekinesis, I pushed myself into the air, throwing a few boulders at the Undead in the process, boulders he tried to dodge, but as he did so, I took the opening he himself had so gracefully given me dodging my attacks with a smile, a smiled that was followed by a barrage of powerful fists, stacking [Savagery] with each one, making each attack more devastating than the last.
As things were, it was clear the Undead was quickly becoming overwhelmed by the sheer raw force of my attacks, and had begun to take great damage under the relentless onslaught of incoming blows.
"I should've done this with Bucky," I said, pressing the Undead more and more, [Savagery] was truly a broken skill if you had the chance to use it.
"I won't be defeated by a mere human!" The Undead general roared, pushing me back with a strange energy that came off him. Effectively breaking my chain of attacks, making me lose my x53 stacks of [Savagery]
"This must be the critical phase each boss in every single game has," I whistled in appreciation.
"Come forth! Forsaken! Serve your King and aid this general to eliminate this human!" The Undead General roared once again, summoning an army of undead creatures.
No stacks, and the boss had summoned an army of monsters, it's almost like he wants me to stack my way to a One Punch Man scenario.
"Come at me!" I waved at the Undead, rushing at them, attacking them, stacking my [Savagery, eventually killing each and every single one of them with a single punch, I felt like Saitama, but without the baldness, each hit, giving me a new stack, by the point I reached the Boss again it had been a few minutes, the boss had been, quiet, charging something, but it didn't matter, for now I had over x300 stacks.
"You gave me enough time to--" he never got to finish his sentence, for my next punch exploded his entire being into a messy work of art.
"I gave you enough time to do what?" I asked, trying to be funny. I wonder why though, I am alone in a world only I can access, is there really a need to say funny one liners?

After finishing a few more dungeons in the east side of new york, with little to no difficulty stacking a few interesting items in the process, I went back home to spend some bonding time with Emily, where I got a message from Fury saying he had found the information I had previously requested.
According to the information Fury had found, Ulysses would be in a black market convention in the coast of Watamu Kenya, a very private convection according to the files, one that very few people knew about, fortunately for me, S.H.I.E.L.D was one of those selected individuals that knew about the convection, all thanks to their spies within the black market community.
Grinning, I memorized the location of the convention and date from the files. According to them, the convention would take place two weeks from now, meaning I had two weeks to plan how I would steal Ulysses from all of the Vibranium he had in store.
"I wonder, will me getting all of that Vibranium fuck Vision's body?" I hummed.
I suppose, in the end I really don't care if Vision gets his body, he did nothing with it, at all, Thanos clapped his metallic cheeks, and so did everyone in Infinity War.
Anyway, once I had the Vibranium in my possession, all I would need would be to find a way to acquire some Adamantium, by obviously no legal means, all I knew about it's creation was that a very very very small part of the government had the recipe in a very very secret place, as it was one of their greatest discoveries, too bad I planned to steal it, I wonder if Fury would want to help me out.
Though, even if Fury didn't help, I knew that eventually given enough time, I would acquire the formula.
"Dad, look! A transmuted cookie!" I turned around to see Emily with a burt cookie on her hands, how the fuck do you transmute something magically and it comes burned.
"Looks… tasty," I smiled, hoping she would not ask me to eat it.
"Please don't lie to me, I am seven, not five, I know it's more coal than cookie, but still, I am improving, right?" Emily smiled, as wide as possible.
"Yeah, you are," I nodded with a chuckle.
"Well I am off to try and transmute an edible cookie! Wish me luck!" Emily said, running out of my room.
She's always doing something nowadays. I'm proud of her, by the time Strange comes here, she will probably be a powerful sorceress of her own right.
--
Two weeks later, and I was in Watamu Kenya using a clever disguise, that was no disguise at all, though I was wearing sunglasses, and a hat, but not to hide my appearance, it was all a fashion choice of Emily, she bought the hat and the glasses with the allowance I had given her.
As for the convention, I had yet to see Ulysses in the area, but even without him I had seen a few interesting items, heck there was a guy selling an old nuclear bomb, though according to Fury that nuke would never leave Africa.
But even without the nuke, well, there was very interesting collection of weapon, so I was keeping myself entertained until Ulysses appeared, after all, with Vibranium and in the future Adamantium, any weapon from here was useless, an outdated piece of gear that whilst interesting, would serve no purpose.
"See anything you like?" [Abayomi Kr'pk LV 29] The man in question had caught me watching some of his merchandise.
"Hmm," I hummed, looking over his collection of assault rifles, "I like some of them, especially the vintage AK-47, it brings me back to the old days," I grinned.
"Yes, it does the same to me," Abayomi smiled, handing me one of the vintage's AK-47, "It old, but effective, and at the end of the day, isn't that what we all look for? Effectiveness, these babies will kill your enemies, on the right hands of course, for the right price."
He was a good seller, I had to admit I was almost considering buying some weapons, but for now, I needed to keep a low profile, didn't want to scare Ulysses out of the convention before he even arrived, "I'll come back after I finish some businesses with a partner of mine," I lied.
"I'll be waiting for you, sir," Abayomi bowed, as I left his stand.
With a smile, I continued walking until the man of the hour, the one and only appeared, [Ulysses Klaus - The Arms Dealer - LV 35, inwardly grinning at the sight of him, I moved towards the man, looking at his bodyguards, [Roberto Jimenez LV 29, [Abdul Amesh - LV 27].
"Ulysses Klaus, the man I was looking for," I greeted, as the black arms dealer in question turned to look at me with a mix of confusion and recognition, something didn't feel right, so for now, I would move with caution.
"I seem to be at a disadvantage here, Mr?" Ulysses greeted.
"Albert, Albert Wesker," I replied.
"Well, Mr. Wesker, what can little old me do for you?" Ulysses grinned, a mad grin, something to be expected from a mad man.
"Well, this is a… delicate conversation, of a delicate amount of money and merchandise, so, how about we have this discussion in private?" I had no idea how these arms dealing businesses were made, Hydra never covered that, but, from what Fury told me, the big fishes liked the privacy, and he was the biggest fish here.
"I see, well, I would be honored to hear your mysterious proposition," Ulysses smiled, "But before that, you don't mind if my guys search you for weapons or mics, right?"
"Go ahead," I smiled, giving his two bodyguards the greenlight, as if I needed weapons to crush them. With the strength I had right now, I could probably pull a Gregor Clegane on their asses.
"He's clean," Roberto said, after palping my body, while Abdul used an electric device to scan me.
"He has no electronics on him, he's clean boss," Abdul nodded.
"Well, now let's talk business," Ulysses smiled.
"Let's," I nodded.
--
I followed Ulysses to his base, already wondering what the man was playing at, he knew me, his eyes sparkled with recognition, meaning he knew I was lying about my name, the question is, what does he win with this? The only plausible thing I can think of is that he allied himself with Hydra, as in Hydra paid him a buttload of money to deal with me, other than that, I had no idea.
Perhaps he simply knew who I was, and what I had done, and simply decided not to piss me off, I mean, it would be wise of him, or perhaps I was imagining shit, I mean, the guy was clearly related to the Joker.
As I pondered over what Ulysses wanted, and how I would steal his Vibranium, the answer to the first question came, as a few red dots in my minimap appeared, using [Sight, I confirmed my suspicions, Ulysses was indeed working with Hydra.
Taking a deep breath, I searched all the rooms in his base looking for the Vibranium with [Sight, finding the material on the last floor of his room. At this I grinned, he was not driving me into a trap, but to my prize.
"I have a question," I said, looking at Ulysses.
"And that question is?" Ulysses inquired, offering me a candy.
"How much did they pay you to try and capture me?" I asked.
Much to my surprise, instead of reacting in a shocked matter, Ulysses laughed, "A shit ton of money,"
"I respect your honesty," I smiled.
"Well, you already know," Ulysses shrugged, "So what now?" as he said that his two bodyguards pointed their weapons at me, at this Ulysses laughed, "Guys, I appreciate the effort, but that shit ain't gonna work on him," he then turned to look at me, "It ain't right?"
"Not anymore," I nodded.
"Good, just confirming," Ulysses nodded, looking at his bodyguards which made them lower their guns, chuckling, he turned to look at me, and asked once again, "So now what?"
"I go into the trap," I smiled.
"Haha!" Ulysses cackled, "I knew there was a reason I liked ya, you are as crazy as me,"

Confident in my abilities, I followed Ulysses to Hydra's trap, knowing full well that he would ally himself with them upon arrival, but that didn't matter, in fact made my entire original mission all the more easier, after all, now I had a reason to kill the black arms dealer. In all honesty, all I could do was chuckle, chuckle at the stupidity behind Hydra's plan, I mean, this was at best a very desperate attempt on Hydra's part to take me down, something that was far below their cunning standards.
"We are here," Ulysses cackled, as his men opened the doors to his warehouse.
"Good," I nodded, focusing on the minimap. Each red rot on it was a target, a life I would take today, so I had to have an accurate number, so that I could count the bodies afterwards.
"Mr. Walker," That… voice, Edward?!
I gritted my teeth, "Edward," above me, on the second floor of Ulysses warehouse stood the man that tortured me for months, the man whose pleasure was my pain, my last personal loose end.
"Hydra's Exterminator, that's how they call you, the Unbounded Knight, poetic isn't it?" Edward chuckled under his breath, his eyes on me, as more and more soldiers started to appear.
"So, what is this Edward? Hydra's last attempt to capture me?" I inquired, noticing how the agents were not drawing their weapons, this made me uneasy.
"Oh dear no," Edward shook his head, "We know now, after what happened to the Winter Soldier, that you can't be contained, you are a threat, one that needs to be eliminated."
"And you plan to do that, by having your goons stare at me?" I snorted.
"My goons? Well, I suppose after you killed so many agents, I did get a few promotions, but no, we know that we can't kill you by simple means," Edward grinned, delighted by something.
I eyed the man, wondering what was his game, there had to be something, something that made him feel safe, he knew I was a threat, he knew no normal human could possibly take me alone, he knew that, and yet, he was as calm as a monk.
"You are buying time," I muttered in realization as a new red dot appeared in my minimap.
"I am," Edward nodded, "One of Hydra's strongest weapons, a weapon that we had to push, to eliminate you, Hydra's greatest threat," at this he smiled, "We studied you, you know? Your behavior, your reaction time to attacks, everything, and we learned a lot, not as much as we would've liked, but enough to know your detection of possible hostile target is not infinite, in fact, is limited to a certain area around you,"
The constant attacks, they weren't outright trying to capture me, they were trying to study me, "I see, so that's why you hired Ulysses to bring me here,"
Interrupting Ulysses took a step forward from behind me, "Lovely little job, easily the easiest few billions I have ever made," he grinned.
Hmm, I might rob the guy after I am done with Hydra... I'm gonna rob the guy, "Good to know," I smiled, opening a portal to a cell with no doors, that Fury had graciously provided, then as the realization hit Ulysses, I pushed the man into the portal, closing it.
"Fuck my life," Ulysses sighed, before the portal fully closed.
"As I was saying, you hired Ulysses to keep me focused on what was inside the base, and not what was coming," I chuckled, a humorless chuckle.
"Yes, the man was paid a few billions for his service, and he performed admirably," Edward nodded, as the new red dot I had seen on the minimap arrived at the base.
Using [Sight] I went to where this new enemy was, and was shocked, [Hydra Hive LV 131] the… man, no the creature they had brought looked like it came from a nightmare, his entire body was made out of worms… no parasites, small and big ones all squirming around, and to top it all, the closer I looked, the more disgusted I felt with what I was seeing, each and every single of these parasites had an HP bar, all of them making Hive, the worst part was, that within all of that… I saw a man, being eaten by its newfound powers, suffering a pain like no other.
"Hydra created a monster…" I hissed.
"Hive was supposed to be a project for the future, soldiers blindingly loyal to us, because they simply had no choice, you pushed his creation," Edward grinned, bowing, "Behold, Hydra's first step to world domination!"
At this Hive came into view, his steps making wet slimy sounds, "You must be… The… one… I… must… kill…"
"Worry not, Mr. Walker, after your death, I will make sure Emily comes back to Hydra, after all, all Hives need a queen," Edward smiled at me.
"You must really want to die, I assure you, there are far easier ways to do so," I growled, my eyes on Hive, for now, nothing else mattered, I had to kill this abomination, the rest was inconsequential, Hive had to die, and then, the mad minds that created him.
[New Quest Created = Destroy Prototype Hive.
Prototype Hive is a mutant abomination, an experiment transforming a normal agent into a weapon with undying love for Hydra, should you fail on defeating Hive, the world as you know it, will forever change.
Objective: Kill Proto Hive
Rewards: 5.000.000EXP, ???, ???
Failure: Death]
--
I looked at Hive as he, or it approached me, his eyes filled with something I quite couldn't read, hate? Hope? Suffering? I couldn't really tell, with each step there was a sick, wet sound, like lips smacking over something slimy. A few steps from me, it's head slid from his torso and toppled to the floor, startling me, for even on the ground, it was looking at me.
"Time… to… die…" It grinned, the wet sound of his movements getting louder and louder, soon enough the body started to break down, to shake, to bubble with movement, like a swarm of worms trying to break a water balloon.
"This shit is disgusting," I muttered, creating a shield around me.
The parasites that broke from its body started to circle me, each one being between five to ten inches long with rows of tiny teeth that made them look like leeches.
"Enough," I said, blasting the creatures with with a few mana bolts, for whatever they were, I didn't want to touch them, something inside me told me, it would be a very bad idea to fight this as a melee, the last things I wanted was to give one of those things access to my body.
Fast, and with a slimy sound the creatures that once circled me regrouped in four points, making a square around me, then, with a low but audible hissing sound they started melding into one another, creating four masses of abnormal, bloated things that grew into four glistening towers of darkness.
Now, instead of one, I was facing four creatures, they had reformed, taking the shape and color of what I could only describe as nightmarish creatures, born from the imagination of Lovecraft himself.
"You can't beat us, you can't kill the many," The four abominations hissed, the four walking towards me.
"You're a parasite, I legit only need 10 bucks and a Walgreens," I shot back, laughing at my own joke.
Hissing, the four slimy entities ran towards my shield, slamming themselves against the magical surface with enough strength to crack the floor beneath me under the pressure. Taking that into consideration, I knew I had at best two minutes before the amalgamation of parasites managed to break my shield, so I had to plan for it before it happened.
"I saw your beginning, Mr. Walker, and now, I will see your end," Edward who was watching the fight smiled, "How truly fortunate I am,"
Ignoring the little bastard, I focused on parasite attacking me, using my telekinesis to push all four against the walls, confirming something I wanted to confirm, which was if I could hold them all together, or they would break apart, it seems that as long as they are connected making a form, I can hold the collective of them, good, now I had to find a way to kill them all at the same time, fire usually works for such creatures, but I have no fire related skills.
"Resistance… is… futile…" the parasites said with one voice, reforming into a single entity once again, its HP still at 100%, meaning that thing was receiving no damage altogether.
Using [Sight, I looked all over the base as the monster approached me, each room empty of the means I needed to destroy the creature, no fire rooms, no flamethrower, but that was good, the world was my battlefield.
"I would really like to… who am I kidding, I would not like to fight you like a man, you disgust me," I smiled, looking in my minimap to see if Hive was complete, or a part of it was hiding, I needed to kill all of it, not just the majority, but much to my dismay, there were too many red dots around to tell… that bitch. "Hahahaha!" to think he had prepared for this, he knew the multiple enemies would confuse me, and fuck my detection, I mean, I couldn't really focus with Hive keeping me entertained, they knew I would try and kill all of Hive, they planned for the possibility of me winning, which is why I was surrounded by Hydra agents, to help Hive hide.
"Move, run!" Edward hissed, noticing I had finally caught on to his plans.
Move? Run, ain't that wishful thinking.
"DIE!" Hive hissed, slamming his slimy tentacles against my shield, making cracks on it.
"Not today," I winked, opening a portal to where all the Vibranium was, then after jumping into the portal, I checked if the room was clear of enemies, and once I had confirmed such thing, saved all the Vibranium in my inventory, with that done, I jumped back to the portal that was still opened, slamming against Hive with my shield.
"You can't hurt me!" Hive hissed, his voice breaking in something akin to pain.
"I can't," I admitted, my attacks were dealing no damage, for apparently for each parasite my attacks killed, two were born, so Hydra like it was sickening. "But, I also can," taking a deep breath, I opened a portal behind Hive, and ran towards the parasite, planning to tackle him with my shield into the portal.
"Hive! Dodge!" Edward roared, but it was a bit too late, his strategic thinking had been wrong, he first thought I would fail to notice him and the agents working as human VPN's for Hive, then he idiotically thought that once I discovered his plan I would go and kill them to make my search for all of the parasites that constituted Hive easier, a stupid thought, I had no need for it, because with Hive having parasites out of his body, I had confirmed something, as powerful as this creature was, it's victory against me was a bet, and bets have awful odds against the ones who makes them.
Trying to follow Edward's command, Hive tried to break down, but unfortunately my first discovery of his body helped me here, for I was keeping him together with my telekinesis.
With a confident smile, I tackled the abomination into the portal, dropping a few dozen bombs behind as Hive and I went through the portal that connected into the middle of the air, closing the portal, I saw as Edward looked at me in shock, and realization, it didn't matter if Hive had parasites separated from its main body to survive, it didn't matter he brought all of those agents to cloak said parasites, for the base would soon become a lifeless waste land, for instead of one bomb, like I had been using for each Hydra base, I threw around forty, as for Hive.
"You won't kill me!" Hive hissed, struggling against my telekinetic hold, and I wasn't gonna lie, it was hard, at much I would be able to keep him in place for a few more seconds, but that was alright, that's all I needed.
"I won't, Kīlauea will," I grinned, looking at the active volcano we were currently free diving into. "I wasn't sure how fast or resilient you are, so a volcano will do," at first I thought of simply bombing the place with Hive inside, but there were many possibilities were that could go wrong, so I decided to take the majority of Hive to a place were parasites didn't like to be, extreme hot.
"No… NO!!!!!!" Fear, well, I guess this settles it, the volcano was a good idea, I chuckled as we reached the volcano, where I started to push Hive into it with all my magic and telekinetic prowess. It's struggles were stronger now, and I could barely hold it in one piece as it was, but before it's form could shatter into a million worm like entities, I shoved the abomination into the active volcano, with me being a few meters away the extremely hot lava, seeing how Hive hissed in pain, before it's life faded away.

Level 125, I guess it's not bad, looking at my mana, the shield alone that consumed eighty percent of my mana, and the struggle with Hive the rest, I would need to stay in place for a while.
