After a long and passionate while, the two young adults were left panting in the bed. Their clothes littered the floor of the room and the blankets were left a tangled mess around the two sweating bodies that still lay intertwined. Through their messy hair, both young adults gazed into each other's eyes as they panted and tried to regain their breath. They held the gaze for several minutes until finally, May had regained enough breath to speak again.
"I love you Sir Ash..." she whispered.
"I love you too...Princess May." Ash replied just as quietly. A tired smile and a light blush graced her face. Feeling the same fatigue, Ash shifted his position and laid his body back onto the bed beside her's. May quickly cuddled into his side and wrapped her arms around his bare chest. He put his arm around her body and held her close as both sets of eyes began to drift closed. "See you in the morning…"
"See you then…"
Several hours later, long after the sun had finally risen again, Ash was the first to begin stirring. A sleepy moan escaped his lips and his eyes opened not long after. His gaze drifted down to the sleeping brunette at his side. May was sleeping against him with her head on his chest and her arms still around him. Part of him was still wondering if it was all a dream. He'd never felt such a burning passion for anyone before. Yet this one seemed to dwarf even his passion for being a Trainer. Looking at her sleeping figure, it became so clear that there wasn't anything he wouldn't do for her. He was deeply in love with the Princess, and that was all there was to it. He gave a small smile and planted a gentle kiss on her forehead. The kiss roused her a little and she slowly opened her eyes.
"Hey..." he smiled.
"Hi..." she echoed with a very similar smile. Ash closed the gap between their lips and May was quick to return the gesture. He stroked her cheek with his thumb and earned a happy moan from her in reply. He slowly pulled his lips away and their eyes met once more with a loving smile. "I've certainly never done that with anyone before..."
"Can't say I have either…" he chuckled.
"I hope you don't think any less of me for falling victim to such a charming man..." she teased. Ash grinned to himself and chuckled at her joke.
"Of course not." He assured her. "You're too adorable to resist anyway."
"Aw, you're so sweet." She giggled. After sharing one more quick peck, Ash sat up from the bed and began gathering his clothes from the floor. May however laid back down on her back and watched him get dressed. She gave a small smile as a thought crossed her mind. "Guess what."
"Hm?"
"No nightmares last night..." a smile crossed Ash's face as he realized her implication.
"That's great..."
"Maybe it was because I had a certain someone in the room this time." She winked. Thankful for her kind words, Ash walked back over to the bed and leaned in, kissing her again. She kissed him back without hesitation, making sure to grab a hold of the collar of his sweatshirt as she did. A soft moan escaped his lips and she echoed the moan back at him. Ash slowly pulled away and the two of them shared yet another smile. After a brief comfortable silence, May began giggling and suddenly pulled him back onto the bed. Caught off guard, he fell back into the bed and only barely managed to catch himself on his arms and keep his upper body propped up.
"Hey..." he chuckled.
"Hi." She greeted back as she smiled up at him.
"So are you gonna get dressed or…?" he tried to coax her along.
"Mmaayybbee..." she teased. "Or we could stay a little longer..."
"Weeeell..." Ash pondered. He couldn't deny the appeal of staying with her and reenacting their night of passion, but a sharp rumble from his stomach caught his attention as well as May's.
"Or would you rather get some breakfast?" she giggled.
"Heh. Well, we did kinda skip dinner." He reminded her. Both of them shared a knowing chuckle and May let go of his sweatshirt, allowing him to get back out of bed. As she was getting dressed into some new clothes, they both heard a chime come across the Center's intercom system.
"What's that?"
"The intercom. It's a device that lets you contact people from across a building." Ash explained.
"But what does the noise mean?" she clarified.
"Oh, it's just to let us know that our Pokemon are all healed up." He added.
"Oh!" Wonderful!" she smiled.
"Yup." He smiled back. "So we'll finish getting ready and then go get the three of them.
"Ok!"
After the two of them finished cleaning themselves up, they headed to the front desk and met up with Nurse Joy. She smiled when she saw them and gave them a small wave.
"Good morning." May greeted.
"Good morning you two. Your Pokémon are perfectly healthy." Joy replied as she set the three Pokemon down on the counter. Minun yawned and looked up. When she spotted May she smiled happily.
"Mi!" she cheered as she jumped towards May. The Princess giggled and caught Minun in her arms before hugging her happily.
"Hey! Great to see you too Minun!" May giggled. Plusle sat on the counter and watched Minun. He seemed almost surprised at how well Minun had taken to her new partner. Noticing his expression, Ash decided to draw his attention.
"Hey there." He greeted his new Pokemon. Plusle looked up at him and tilted his head.
"Plusle plu?" he wondered.
"Don't worry. I know it's a big change to have a trainer all of a sudden. But I hope in time we can be friends." Ash explained as he held out a hand in friendship.
"Plu...?" Plusle asked.
"Promise." Ash smiled as he gently pet Plusle's head. Plusle smiled a little and purred at his gentle touch.
"Plus..." Ash smiled at him before turning to his starter.
"Morning Pikachu." He greeted. Pikachu smiled and hopped onto his shoulder.
"Good morning. Did you two have fun last night?" he smirked. Ash blushed hard, surprised by the question.
"P-Pikachu…?" he asked.
"Her scent is all over you and vice versa. Doesn't take an Alakazam to figure out what happened between you two." Pikachu explained. Ash sighed and pinched his nose, trying to come up with a response that would save face at least a little.
"Alright…yeah we did it…" he conceded. Pikachu snickered a little and smiled at his trainer.
"Seriously though. Did you have a good time?" he asked again.
"…Yeah..." Ash admitted. Satisfied with his answer, Pikachu smiled and nuzzled him.
"Good. I'm happy for you."
"You are?" Ash blushed.
"Of course. She makes you happier than I've ever seen you. And that makes me happy for you." Pikachu explained.
"Heh...thanks, buddy." Ash said with a small smile which was returned by Pikachu.
"Sir Ash?" May suddenly piped up. Ash turned towards her curiously.
"What is it May?"
"Did you hear tha-" before she could finish her sentence, the front door of the Pokemon Center was violently blown open. Glass and debris showered the lobby and all the people in it. Ash quickly tried to shield May behind him from the debris as she held Minun close in her arms to protect her. Once the concrete and glass stopped falling, both of them turned towards the door only to see a massive Pokemon standing in the broken wall he had just created. The massive Pokemon was primarily teal in color with yellow swirls on his shoulders and hands. He had pale yellow eyes, and a crack across the chest of the armor, which was patched diagonally with a brown seal resembling a belt. There were large bangles on his wrists and ankles, a Roman armor-like "skirt" below the waist, and flat feet beneath.
"Gol…!" the large Pokemon groaned in a deep voice.
"What the!?" Ash gasped as he looked at the Pokemon and pulled out his Pokedex and scanned the Pokemon. "Is that a Golurk?!"
"Golurk, the Automaton Pokémon and the evolved form of Golett. Flying faster than the speed of sound, Golurk loses control when the seal on its chest is removed." The Pokédex explained. May gasped in fear as Ash stepped protectively in front of her.
"Th-That's...!" she stammered. Before she could complete her thought, the Golurk seemed to zero in on her and started lumbering towards them as the other trainers and people in the Pokemon Center began to run and scatter. Golurk began to reach a giant hand toward May and she screamed in fear as she hid behind him further. "Sir Ash...!"
"Help me out Corphish! Knock it away with Crabhammer!" Ash yelled as he released Corphish from his pokeball.
"Cor!" Coprhish cried out as he swung his glowing claw at his opponent. The Crabhammer made contact with Golurk's chest and he stumbled backward, falling into another wall of the Center and sending more people scattering for safety. Ash saw his opportunity and grabbed May's hand.
"Come on!" he screamed as he ran out of one of the gaping holes in the wall. May followed him and ran as fast as she could. Plusle quickly jumped off the counter and ran after them as Corphish did the same. Golurk groaned and started getting back up as the group ran away as quickly as they could.
"S-Sir Ash...! What is that thing...?!" May panted as they continued to run.
"It's a Golurk! But they're usually peaceful and found only in a faraway region! I have no idea what it would be doing here or why it would try and attack you!" Ash yelled back.
"I-I saw it...! In my dreams...!" she suddenly told him.
"You what..?!" Ash gasped.
"The big blue Pokémon in my dream...! He looks just like it...!" she said again. Ash grit his teeth as they continued running. He remembered her telling him that the Pokemon in her dreams was trying to kill her. And if that Golurk was the Pokemon in her dreams, then he needed to get her as far away from Golurk as he could get her. But far sooner than he anticipated, they both felt the ground shake behind them, signaling that Golurk had started following them. Even at his slow pace, his massive feet and long strides allowed him to begin closing the distance between him and the fleeing couple. "He's gaining on us…! W-What do we do...?!"
"We'll just have to battle it then!" Ash decided, suddenly stopping his run and turning to face Golurk instead.
"Mi!" Minun nodded in agreement.
"What...?!" May gasped. "W-We can't battle that thing!"
"We have to try. I won't let him hurt you! Corphish! Bubblebeam!" he ordered.
"Cor! Cor phish phish phish phish! Corphish yelled as he fired Bubblebeam from his claws. Golurk seemed ready for the attack this time however and launched Hyper Beam from his hands, destroying the Bubblebeam and hitting Corphish hard.
"Corphish!" Ash gasped as his Water Type was thrown backwards and lay fainted at his feet. He quickly called Corphish back to his pokéball as Golurk fired a Flash Cannon at them. May gasped in fear as Ash quickly moved them both out of the way, narrowly dodging the attack. She shielded her face from the flying debris of the missed attack. Ash quickly moved her behind him again as he tried to continue the battle.
"Pikachu..! Iron Tail!" he commanded. Pikachu nodded and leapt off his shoulder. He swung his glowing tail and landed the Iron Tail on Golurk's chest. Golurk stumbled back a bit from the impact as Ash took the opportunity to release Treecko from his pokéball to help out.
"Treecko tree!" Treecko said as he got into a battle stance. May trembled from the battle's intensity. Unlike Ash's Gym Battle she watched, there was nothing fun or friendly about this battle. She didn't want anyone else to get hurt like this.
"Sir Ash please-" she was cut off when Minun jumped out of her arms and stood by Treecko and Pikachu while sparking her cheeks. "Minun?!"
"Mi Mi minun!" Minun yelled as she looked back at May.
"She wants to battle May!" Ash informed her.
"B-But I've never...! A-And that thing...!" she tried to protest, trembling with fear.
"It's okay May! We can do this!" he assured her.
"I-I..." she stammered as she looked at Minun and their eyes met. Minun nodded at her, determined and confident that she could do it.
"O-Ok…" May nervously agreed.
"Treecko Bullet Seed, Pikachu flank with Iron Tail!" Ash ordered his Pokemon. Treecko began firing Bullet Seed at Golurk's face, drawing his attention as he groaned and tried to shield his face from the seeds with his hand. Taking advantage of the distraction, Pikachu leapt into the air and struck Golurk once again with Iron Tail.
"Sp-Spark...!" May called to Minun. Minun ran at Golurk as she coated herself in electricity. She slammed into him, but Golurk appeared to be completely unaffected by the attack.
"Mi?!" Minun gasped.
"Huh?!" May echoed her Pokémon's confusion. Ash grit his teeth, realizing that he forgot to tell her about the Type matchup.
"Golurk is a Ground-type May! Electric moves won't work!" he told her.
"O-Oh...t-try Quick Attack...!" she tried again. Minun nodded and ran towards Golurk again, this time coated in a white speed energy. She landed the attack again, but still, nothing happened. "What...?!"
"Oh no…" Ash realized. "I forgot he's a Ghost Type too..."
"B-But those are the only attacks that Minun can use on opponents!" May reminded him. Ash tried to think on his feet. Plusle and Minun didn't have many attacking moves, but then he remembered they had support moves.
"Have Minun use Helping Hand on Treecko!" he yelled.
"O-Ok! Minun use Helping Hand on Treecko!" she yelled. Minun nodded and created blue electric pom-poms in her paws. She shook them vigorously in a makeshift cheer, which began to send power-up sparks to Treecko.
"Now Treecko use Bullet Seed full power!" Ash ordered his Grass Type.
"Tree...cko cko cko cko!" Treecko yelled as he fired another Bullett Seed attack. With the power-up from Minun, the attack did much more damage and actually caused Golurk to stumble backwards. May's eyes widened in surprise as she watched the powered-up attack work well.
"Amazing! Maybe we really can win this!" she realized. Ash smiled a little as he too felt a bit of his confidence return. But at that same moment, it seemed the Golurk had finally had enough. He broke free of Treecko's attack and rapidly fired a Hyper Beam from his hands. The Wood Gecko Pokemon had no time to dodge and was sent flying into the water nearby.
"Treecko!" Ash gasped as he quickly recalled the battered Pokemon to his pokeball before any further damage could be done. May gasped as she quickly tried to come up with a plan to help.
"Quick! Minun use-" her command was interrupted however when she saw Golurk grab Minun in his massive hand.
"MMMIII!" Minun screamed in pain.
"Minun!" May gasped.
"PLU!" Plusle called out to his friend. Ash grit his teeth as he quickly made a plan to help.
"Plusle! Helping Hand! Pikachu, help Minun!" he ordered his two Electric Types. Plusle obeyed Ash's orders and created yellow electric pom-poms in his paws and shook them in a makeshift cheer, sending power-up sparks to Pikachu. Feeling the increase in power, Pikachu ran towards Golurk and leapt up towards him. Seeing him coming, Golurk took a swing at Pikachu with his free hand. "Evade with Quick Attack!"
"On it!" Pikachu yelled as he used the sudden burst of speed to dodge the swing of Golurk's arm and land on the other hand which was still holding Minun tightly.
"Get her out by using Iron Tail!" Ash commanded the move. Pikachu's tail began to glow and he hit Golurk's wrist with Iron Tail. The force of the hit caused Golurk to cry out in pain and accidentally release Minun from his grip. With Golurk no longer holding Minun aloft, she screamed and started to fall towards the ground.
"Minun!" May gasped as she ran past Ash towards her falling Pokémon.
"May!" Ash called, trying to get her to stop. She ignored his calls and ran over to Golurk, managing to catch Minun before she hit the ground.
"Mi..." Minun whimpered.
"I got you...you ok?" May asked. However, while her attention was on Minun, Golurk suddenly realized that May was now within arm's reach. Seizing the opportunity, Golurk swung his arm and knocked Pikachu off his other arm and into a tree.
"ACK!" Pikachu yelped as he crashed through several branches.
"Pikachu!" Ash screamed. With Pikachu gone, Golurk turned his attention back to May and began once again reaching towards her. May saw his shadow begin to loom over her. Her eyes widen as she looked up and began screaming. Ash heard her screaming and finally noticed Golurk towering over her.
"No! May get out of there!" he gasped. May tried to make an effort to move away from Golurk, but she wasn't nearly fast enough to move out of the way of the massive hand coming toward her. She shielded Minun with her body as Golurk's massive fingers coiled around her. "MAY!"
"HELP!" she screamed as she struggled in Golurks's grip. His grip remained firm as he lifted her and Minun into the air.
"LET GO OF HER!" Ash yelled angrily as he ran towards Golurk with Plusle running with him at his feet. Golurk seemed to ignore him however and recoiled his legs into his upper body. Suddenly, a rocket engine-like blast erupted from the hole below his waist and he began to lift off from the ground.
"Sir Ash! Help!" she screamed out.
"MAAAAAAAAAAAAAY!" he echoed her call as he tried to grab onto Golurk, but the Ground and Ghost Type was too high up and his reach failed to make contact.
"Sir Ash-AH!" May yelped as Golurk tightened his grip on her as he flew further into the sky.
"MINUN!" Minun screamed in pain as well.
"PLUSLE!" Plusle called after his friend desperately. Both May and Minun screamed as Golurk flew off towards the ocean, disappearing into the clouds as Ash could only grit his teeth in anger.
