Clarke Griffin is being held by the Avengers. Natasha and Pepper confront her with an offer. But Clarke warns them about that offer. They, however, know what she wants.

You love her, don't you?" Natasha Romanoff was unable to help but ask the famous Wonder Woman the question. But she already knew the answer. "You would know, wouldn't you?" Diana asked, smiling across from her equally as famous companion, the Black Widow.

Takes place three years after "The countdown is starting." Clarke Griffin knows that she has no reason to leave her mates. No reason to leave the Avengers and the Justice League. Ever. Her life was so much different from how it had been with the Azgeda, and with the Ark people. She was better off with her mates. She knew that now.

Clarke Griffin really should have seen this coming. But she hadn't. Now she just has to wait for the countdown to be over. She waits for when she's strong enough to be able to escape the forcefields around her, or she's rehabilitated before then. It shouldn't have been startling for Clarke to learn that her romantic partner soulmate, Natasha could sing. But it was. Natasha can't help but ask if Clarke wants to hear her sing. And how can Clarke refuse?

When someone has been told their entire life that they're a mistake of nature, it's difficult for that person to be anything, except the monster that people tell them they are.
