Three weeks later…

Ana's life had settled into some form of normalcy. Christian came by almost everyday to talk with her and Teddy. They had dinner together, and Teddy would ask him a ton of questions. Ana thought he would become overwhelmed, or think they were moving too fast, but Christian seemed just as curious, asking Teddy questions that would often make her son think and stop for a moment. To Ana it was weird, because it was as if they spoke the same language. She called to tell her mother about it, and Carla only laughed.

"That is normal sweetie. Teddy has a man to ask all the questions he's probably been dying to ask. Seeing as how you're a girl, he probably thought you wouldn't be able to. And I'm guessing Jack wasn't around often enough for Teddy to want to talk with him."

"And when he did take him, apparently Jack's staff was watching him while he went on a date or two. Or three," Ana finished. Carla sighed.

"How is that going by the way?"

Ana told her mother about everything Christian did and how they hadn't heard from Jack since that day. Carla of course told her husband, and the only thing Ray did was grunt.

"The same. We haven't heard from him. I asked Christian if he heard from Jack, and he only told me no. He's supposed to hear from him soon however. It was apart of their bargain and the only way he would get the rest of his money."
Carla snorted out a breath.

"I cannot believe that snake of a man! Jack should be ashamed of himself. Taking the money and running. Teddy is a wonderful little boy. A little rambunctious but that is normal for children."

"Mom, you should've seen Teddy's face. I know it's almost been a month, but just the thought of having Teddy's face crumble at the fact that his dad didn't even want him tore her to shreds.

"I'd give him the world if I could."

"And he knows that, "Carla said easily. But, it still hurts. And since he is still so young he doesn't understand everything. Only the basics. When he gets older is another matter."

Ana sighed.

"I know. And I told Christian I would handle it when it came to that."

"What did he say?"

Ana smiled.

"He said not me, but we would handle it."
Carla giggled at that.

"Well handsome, rich, and always knows what to say. You make sure you keep this one," Carla teased.

That was last week.

But to be fair, Carla was right. Christian would come over and play with Teddy, and he was even showing him how to properly grill a burger outside one Saturday when Ana had to go to finalize a last-minute wedding detail with Mia. Other than the PTA function she along with Freya and Amara was in charge of creating, her life was looking pretty good.

"Sir, you have a call on line two."
Christian thanked Andrea, before answering it. He was having a very busy morning, what with his new company merger in Japan and he was pleased to see his company stock at an all time high. It caused for many phone calls and possible upcoming interviews.

"This is Christian Grey," he said firmly. A throat cleared before a familiar voice went through his phone.

"It's Jack."

Christian paused before he raised a brow.

"Ah. I take it you are nice and settled in whatever country you decided to land in?"

"Yeah," he said irritably. "Listen I'm calling for the rest of the money. You told me-"

"I told you I would give it to you in full after you called to inform me that you had spoken to Ana and Teddy. Yes, you did speak with her as she let me know, but you failed to call me. So I gave you half. I've been waiting for your call and as usual I wasn't disappointed."

It was silent on the other line for a few seconds before Jack spoke again.

"You knew what you were doing by making me talk to Ana. I was admitting that I was leaving my son for money. You're a bastard."

"Only to the people I hate. And you are someone I hate. Immensely. I am happy to wash my hands of you after today," Christian said with contempt in his voice.

"I want the money!"

"You'll have it little Jack. Just as soon as you answer my question. Do you feel better now? Leaving your family for wealth?"

"Fuck you," Jack snarled. Christian only chuckled darkly.

"Nah. I'd rather fuck Ana."

"Have fun with my leftovers," Jack sneered into the phone.

"It's ignorant to ever think you had her. By the way Jack how is it that Ana seems a bit stunned to have an actual orgasm? Not just one but several at a time? Hmm. I wonder if the last guy wasn't doing it right. You know what they say about men who have big egos," Christian said smugly.

"What are you-"

"You'll have the money by the end of today," Christian said cutting him off. " Never call me again," Christian stated before hanging up the office phone. Christian stared at it for a few moments before he groaned aloud. Pulling out his cell phone he texted Ana.

Hey. Later today we should talk. -C

Oh. Is it something serious? -A

No. Nothing like that. BTW let Teddy know that next month we're going flying. -C

Over my dead body.-A

Christian chuckled at that before locking his phone and getting back to work.

Ana headed into the office and opened her mouth to shout for Hannah when she heard moaning coming from the woman's office. Ana took two steps and halted.

"Mmm, yes Sawyer fuck me harder!"

"You feel so fucking good Hannah! I'm gonna marry your ass!" he shouted.

"Mmm. You better or else you'll get no more of this!" Ana heard Sawyer chuckle before she heard a lot of wet sounds. Ana was completely horrified and practically ran to her office and bolted the door. She sagged against it and walked over to her desk. She shook her head when she could hear Hannah's screams through her heavy oak door.

Hannah better be glad that Gloria wasn't at the office this month, she thought wryly. She had just gotten off the phone with Christian but she decided to call him anyway.

"Ana," he said on the secon ring. Ana liked how he always answered her call, and if he didn't he let her know the reason why. She smiled into it.

"Christian," she said dreamily. He chuckled.

"What was that for?"

Ana shrugged as if he could see it.

"Oh, it's nothing. I just wanted to hear your voice. Hey, where is Sawyer?"

Christian leaned back in his chair.

"He told me after lunch he had a sudden appointment. Something having to do with a doctor visit or something," Christian said distractedly. Ana smirked.

Yeah. A sex appointment with her best friend, Ana thought in amusement.

"Why?" Christian asked.

"Oh, just no reason. I heard Hannah in her office and it made me think of him," she said easily. Ana was no snitch.

"Oh."

"Well, I just called to let you know my parents will be down this weekend for Mia's wedding. And my father said that he wanted to take Teddy to some new historical museum or something. It involves cars and planes so of course Teddy wants to go."

"Of course he does," Christian said with a smile.

"They normally keep him for a day. And I don't know, I was wondering if after the wedding you wanted to stay with me at my house for the night. I don't know if-"

"Yes," he said quickly. Now it was Ana's turn to smile.

"Yes?"

"Yes," Christian growled causing Ana to shiver. "I think it's been a while since I've had your taste on my mouth. What do you think?"

Ana swallowed thickly.

"I would have to agree," she said shakily. Christian could hear the slight tremor in her voice, and it made him insanely pleased to hear it.

"I'm going to send you over a gift. Open it on Saturday, the day of my sister's wedding."

Ana bit her lip and said okay. She could hear voices on his end and she spoke.

"It sounds pretty busy on your end."

"Sucessful mergers always are. I'm sorry but-"
"I understand. We will talk later."

"Okay."

Ana could hear that he was still breathing on the phone and she laughed.

"You can hang up now," she said. He chuckled.

"You go first."
Ana smirked.

"Alright."

She hung up and her cell phone rang with a text several seconds later.

I cannot BELIEVE you hung up on me?! -C

Ana cackled.

Well, believe it Mr. Grey. -A

Make sure you call me that on Saturday night. -C

Ana blushed before she put down her phone. It was time for her to respond to the sudden pile of emails she received since she'd been working with Mia. Her friends hadn't even seen the wedding venue yet, and they already wanted some consultations with her. At least her boss Gloria would be thrilled.

Christian had just finished his fourth interview and third meeting of the day when Taylor came into his office. He looked amused as he handed over his cell phone.

"It's for you."
Christian rolled his eyes thinking it was his mother. He saw that she called earlier in the day but he sent it to voicemail because he was busy.

"Hello?" he said lightly.

"Mr. Christian? This is Teddy. Ana is my mama," he said matter of factly. Christian smiled and glanced up at Taylor. He now understood why the man looked amused.

"Hello Teddy. I'm happy you called, but I would like to know why? And why did you call Taylor's phone number?"

Teddy gave a long-suffering sigh.

"He gave it to me in case of emergency. That's what he said. And I can memorize a lot of numbers. Mama says I'm gifted but if that's true why don't I get gifts everyday?" he said questioning a term in a way that only kids could. Christian held back a snort.

"I have no clue Teddy. Is something wrong?" Christian asked, wanting to make sure he was okay.

"Well, what had happened was that I was at school and I kind of forgot to tell mama about the bake sale. She was s'posed to make cookies. I put her name down for cookies because they are my favorite, and I think they are better than muffins," he said randomly. Christian frowned.

"Um, okay."

"And I don't want mama to get in trouble again! Mrs. Fenway told mama that she had to stay after school because of the poop incident. Mrs. Fenway can get really red if she's angry and she always takes mama into her office. Mama thinks I don't know but I do because I'm a big boy," he said proudly.

"So you need cookies?" Christian figured out.

"Yeah!"

"Teddy. How many cookies was your mom supposed to make?"

"I wrote down that mama would make three-hundred cookies."

Christian's eyes widened in shock.

"Three-hundred?"

"Mm-hmm. All kinds too." Teddy sighed. "The reception lady let me use the phone but Mr. Christian they gotta be here in two hours! Can you come with the cookies? I'll pay you back. I gots money in my piggy bank."

At that, Christian did laugh.

"I will bring the cookies Teddy."

He whooped over the phone.

"Thanks Mr. Christian! Sorry I gots to go. The lady says I'm being too loud again and I don't want to get in trouble again. Mama won't let me watch TV until Christmas if I act bad again."

And with that, Teddy hung up. Christian stared for a few moments in shock before he laughed. Taylor took back the phone Christian held out and looked at the man in question.

"Sir?" he asked. Christian stood.

"Taylor. I'm going to need a huge favor. Does Gail's sister still run that bakery on the other side of town?"

Taylor nodded.

"Yes."

"Good. Tell her to close the store. I need to buy all the cookies she has available. Teddy needs them for his bake sale and he conveniently forgot to tell Ana about it."
Taylor chuckled at that.

"He is quite the character is he not?" Taylor said. Christian smiled.

"Yes he is. But I wouldn't want him to be anything but himself."

Two hours later Ana was scrolling through the second to last email when she saw the one from Teddy's school.

Thank you,

Principal Fenway

Nichole Treadway (200+ bags of chips)

Anastasia Steele (300 assorted cookies)

Raymond Tinsel (Family style Italian baked meals from family restaurant)

Carter Stone (BBQ for grilling/partnering with Tyler)

"Aw hell," Ana whined. How could she not know that their was a fundraising event today and that, HER SON signed her up for it? Did he tell her? Did she forget? And what about Mrs. Fenway? She already was apart of the PTA committe. Would this dock her negatively?

"I think I'm losing my mind."

Ana noted the time and saw the bake sale was supposed to get those amount of cookies in less than twenty minutes?

Ana yelled at the unfairness of it all, and even stomped her foot while sitting in her chair. When her office door opened, she ignored Hannah's flustered appearance."

"Hey Ana what's up?"

Ana gave a long-suffering sigh before she stood. She grabbed her purse and slowly walked to the door.

"I have to go to Teddy's school. I was supposed to bake three-hundred cookies and bring them to a bake sale that happened today."

"Did you not know? Did Teddy tell you?"

Ana ran a hand through her hair.

"If he did I honestly can't remember. I've been so busy," she said lamely. Hannah gave her a sympathetic smile.

"You gotta go to the school?" Hannah asked. Ana nodded.

"Yep. Oh and Hannah? Make sure you get a list of available schools for Teddy to be enrolled in for the upcoming year. I have a feeling I've met my quota with Mrs. Fenway."

Teddy walked into the gymnasium with his two best friend. He looked nervous. He didn't know if Mr. Christian would come in time. He didn't want his mama to feel guilty. Besides he was the one who forgot to tell her. The students all walked over to the benches, and they were excited to smell and see all the good food and games they could play. Teddy looked around and didn't see Christian until-

"Hey Teddy! Look at that big yellow sign!" Ricky said.

"It has a cookie wheel!" Michael added. Teddy turned to look in the direction of his friends, to the right and he beamed when he saw that it was Christian. The man smiled at the boy and waved his hand. Teddy grinned and waved both of his hands back. He was so happy and his heart was beating fast.

"Mr. Christian came," Teddy whispered joy in his voice. Michael leaned close.

"Isn't that cookie wheel cool?" he repeated again. Teddy nodded.

"Yeah. He came here for me," Teddy said proudly. Both boys looked on in amazement.

"That's so cool!"

"Teddy you're awesome."

And in that moment, Teddy felt great.

Never let it be said that Christian did anything halfway. As soon as Tedy hung up, Taylor called Gail's sister Beth. When he explained the situation she was happy to agree to it. Christian paid her shop for the day, and he was so happy that she had a bakery that made more than five-hundred cookies a day. He brought them all, along with some signage to hang up at the event. He borrowed it from the back of her store. He also took business cards to pass out so she would have more business. Beth thanked him profusely.

"This must be a special boy," she said handing over the last large box of soft macadamia nut cookies. Christian chuckled.

"You have no idea. Thanks Beth, and I hope to see more of you."
As soon as they were in the car they headed to the school. He called his mother who answered on the first ring.

"Oh, so finally you call," she said wryly.

"I'm sorry mom. I've been busy all morning plus Teddy called me at his school."

"Oh?" Grace said interested immediately. "What did he want?"

Christian laughed.

"You're not going to believe it, but Teddy forgot to tell his mother a while back about the school's bake sale. He was supposed to let Ana know that she had to supply three-hundred cookies to the event. It's today and he felt guilty. He doesn't want her to get into trouble with the school principal, so he called and asked me to help him. I couldn't turn down his offer so I decided to bring the cookies. The even is in another hour so we have plenty of time and there's a booth already set up. I called the school receptionist."
It was silent on the other end.

"Mom," he said when it became more than a minute. He shouldn't have worried. Suddenly he heard a loud sniffle.

"Here we go," he murmured.

"Why honey, that is the sweetest thing I have ever heard! You're doing that for the precious boy! Oh, my heart is so full. I am so proud of your Christian Grey, and I forgive you for not calling me earlier."

"Mom," he whined a bit, unable to believe his mother always made him feel like a ten year old.

"What? I can't praise my son? Now, this bake sale is for-"

"The Seattle Children's Hospital."

"Oh! That's my hospital."

"Yes it is. And it will receive a handsome donation later this evening."
Grace smiled.

"You are truly an honorable man honey. Well I'll let you go. Tell me how everything goes."

"I will."

As soon as he hung up Grace picked up her phone again and dialed her new friend.

"Carla? Guess what Christian has done for Teddy today. Honestly, I'm wondering what's the hold up at this point. I know you want Christian to be your son-in-law. Right? I want Ana to be my daughter-in-law." When Grace glanced up she saw Carrick shaking his head at her with his hand on the fridge. She had the decency to blush.

Ana walked into the school and towards the gymnasium as if she were heading to the gallows. She swallowed when she heard the noise from all the music, kids and staff. When she opened the door she immediately spotted her son. He was twirling with his friends holding a bubble wand in one hand and a cookie in the other.

"Quite the turnout, huh Ms. Steele?"

Ana made a slow turn toward Mrs. Fenway. She gave a nervous smile.

"Yes. Listen, Mrs. Fenway-"

"Your boyfriend explained that you both collaborated to have Beth's cookies be a large donation to the school. We greatly appreciate it, and as you can see the cookies are a hit."
Ana took a glance around the room and noticed quite a few people with cookies in their hand. Ana saw the large yellow booth and when her eyes landed on Christian, who was handing out a bag, along with Taylor and a smile, her heart jumped. As if he could feel her gaze on him, he glanced up and gave her a wide smile.

"I had no idea that your boyfriend was billionaire and philanthropist Christian Grey. He's done a lot of good for the people of Seattle."

"Indeed he has," Ana said with a smile before turning her attention to Mrs. Fenway. The woman studied her before she gave a slight nod.

"Well. You of course were supposed to be here to hand them out, but as I spoke with Christian I can understand that your own work held you back. I shall let you enjoy the rest of the festivities. And thank Mr. Grey for hiring a cleaning crew for the event so everyone can leave when they deem it necessary."

As soon as Mrs. Fenway walked away, Ana breathed out in relief. She was saved by her own knight in shining armor. Except this time he was baring cookies.

"Mama!"

Ana's head snapped in the direction of Teddy who was running full speed toward her. She smiled as always the way in which he ran to her and she knelt, taking his hug. She kissed his hair before pulling back.

"Hello Teddy."

There was sugar around his mouth, his shirt was stained and he had some type of sticky substance on his cheek, but she was happy to see his eyes sparkling with happiness.

"Hi Mama! These cookies are so good!"

Ana raised her brow.

"I wonder how Christian was able to bring cookies for you?" Teddy had the decency to look guilty.

"Teddy, you and I are going to have a talk later."

"Okay. But I was good today!" He said brightly. Ana rolled her eyes even as she snorted out a laugh.

"Yeah, alright. Go and play with your friends."

Teddy looked as if that was the best thing she ever said to him and he turned and headed back into the mashed up crowd of children. Suddenly she felt arms around her waist.

"I was summoned by your son," Christian said before kissing her cheek. Ana smiled before she turned in his arms. She kissed his lips softly before pulling back.

"Christian, I don't know how much this costs but-"

"Stop. I wanted to do. And I don't want you to pay me back. I love Teddy. He is truly a beam of light."

"Even though he's a handful at time?" Ana said. Christian chuckled.

"Even so. Besides, I didn't want to be at the office all day anyway. I've done enough business for the week. My sister is getting married this weekend, and I just want to see it, and be with you if that's okay."

Ana blushed in pleasure.

"I think that sounds perfect. Tonight though, it'll just be dinner and bedtime for crazy over there," Ana said tilting her head. Christian's eyes danced in merriment.

"I understand."

The two stared into each other's eyes before Ana spoke.

"I love you so very much Christian Grey. Not because of the money, or because of how handsome you are, but because you care about me and my son. And that means more to me than you'll ever know."

Christian's eyes glistened a bit before he blinked them back. Because here, in a children's elementary school, Christian felt himself fall deeper in love with the beautiful, kind, and loveable Anastasia Steele.

"I love you just as much Anastasia Steele," he said quietly. Ana smiled wide before she kissed him softly. When they pulled away Ana blinked her eyes open and giggled at Mrs. Fenway who was glaring from the auditorium door.

"We better stop before Mrs. Fenway gives us detention."
Christian smiled wickedly at that.

"Yeah? Maybe then we can make out."

Ana giggled even more when he placed one kiss on her neck before pulling away. He grabbed her hand instead and pulled her close to him.

"Come on. Help me man the booth for a bit. Taylor's been getting overwhelmed with phone numbers."

Ana laughed at that.

"Okay."
