That Evening
"Dragon Mountain is within a day from Drago's Stronghold. If we leave now, we'll be able to stop Drago before he challenges the Alpha." Hiccup reported to the Dragon Riders. Because of Drago being on the move and a combined hatred for the madman, Berk was readying for war. The plan was simple. Those with dragons would stop him while the rest of Berk ready their defenses. "This is our one and only chance to stop Drago and make him pay for everything he has done." he added and the Riders cheered wanting to end this kidnapper's reign of evil.
Later
"Gobber will make sure that you're safe while I'm gone." Valka said to Frida before hugging her youngest child. Tears were rolling down her cheeks. She was going to go to war against the monster that ripped her family apart nearly twenty years ago. When the hug ended, Valka lifted Frida's chin.
"When will you and daddy be back?" Frida asked holding back her tears.
"I'll return as soon as I can." Valka promised before grabbing a Stormcutter toy that she made for Frida's sixth birthday. "No matter what happens, I will always return to you. Because my love for you is stronger than the sharpest axe." she added before Stoick entered the Forge. The father kneeled down to his daughter.
"We'll be back within a few days. We're Haddocks. We're too stubborn to get killed." Stoick promised before hugging his daughter.
Hiccup walked to the Forge to say 'goodbye for now' when he saw Astrid hugging her folks before the battle. He looked at her remembering that she is the reason why he was with his family. Not a stranger. Whenever he sees her, he thought of asking her out on a date, after all, she was beautiful and caring. He wanted to do something for her at the very least, but he could never do anything to repay her for giving him his family. For now, the Rider walked to the Forge to see Frida hugging Mom and Dad. When the hug ended, both parents left and Hiccup kneeled next to his sister.
"Hey sis. How ya doing?" he asked and Frida hugged him. Hiccup hugged her back. He kept back tears knowing he might not see her again if he fails. "Remember what I told you this morning?"
"Yeah." Frida answered sniffling.
"We'll be back. I'll be back. When it's over, Drago will regret ever taking me away from home." Hiccup remarked keeping a hold of his sister.
Elsewhere
Drago stood on the bow of his ship while his fleet sailed for the mountain. His plan was foolproof. Force the Alpha out then unleash the challenger. Then he will go to Berk and destroys Hiccup's home. If he ever manages to find his family, he will nothing but destruction. Not the revenge Drago planned, but it would do for now. Krogan stood behind Drago waiting for orders but the Dragon God just waited. He will stand on the bow until he reaches the mountain. Then he will touch the snow that will soon be stained with dragon blood.
Later
The sun had set a long time ago. Hiccup led the Dragon Riders through the dead of night. They were almost there and then they could rest. But for now, they flew through the clouds keeping an eye out for Drago's fleet. So many feelings were going through him. He knew that he would have to face Drago one day, but not like this. Not in a battle where it was forty to one. Not with his parents by his side. Hiccup promised his sister to return and he wasn't going to break it. So much has changed for him in weeks. He had a family, a tribe, and friends. He was placing them at risk. If he failed, they will die, and knowing Drago, he will be forced to watch.
Next Morning
When Hiccup woke up, the Riders were already eating breakfast. It was late at night when they landed at the base of the mountain. They rested for the night before trying to find the Alpha in the ice mountain. Hiccup managed to sleep well, despite being on cold rocks and snow. Toothless nudged his head against Hiccup's arm. The Viking pet his friend's head. Hiccup looked up at the mountain admiring the icy peaks the Alpha created to protect itself on the nest inside. Moments later, Astrid handed Hiccup a plate of fish.
"Thanks." Hiccup replied.
"No problem." Astrid remarked and the Rider just watched as she left to her dragon. Hiccup sighed before eating the fish. Stoick and Valka flew off to patrol the island in search of any presence of Drago. Hiccup could tell that his parents wanted blood for taking him away from them. Hiccup could only hope that the family can stand together for what is coming. When they came back they reported good news. Drago hasn't arrived yet. Which means that the Riders will go North to meet the fleet. Hiccup promised to do this with his family, but he didn't want to lose them. He saw his parents talking and the other Riders around a fire. Hiccup jumped on Toothless's saddle and the Night Fury gave a low groan.
"Don't worry bud. They'll be safe." Hiccup promised the dragon. Before they could launch into the sky, Hiccup felt someone pull on his arm. He looked to see Astrid holding him back.
"What are you doing?" she asked.
"Nothing." Hiccup lied trying to get Astrid to let go in vain.
"You're planning on fighting Dragon alone." Astrid remarked and Hiccup sighed.
"I don't want to lose them again." Hiccup replied.
"You won't. Unlike the night you were taken we have dragons. You escaped Drago with your dragon. Now you have your family to end this fight with Drago." Astrid remarked and Hiccup sighed before getting off the dragon. Astrid punched his arm. "Now let's do this together."
Later
The fleet was below them. Hiccup took a deep breath before turning to his Mother. She smiled at him trying to reassure him. He smiled back before using his spyglass to see the forward ship being pulled by chains. Drago's ship. Hiccup formated a plan of attack. They were outnumbered and needed to use speed. He gave a silent prayer to the gods for victory and survival before turning to his family and friends. "We need to end this quickly. Fishlegs, Twins, Gustav. Distract the right of the fleet. Astrid, Snotlout, Dad. Distract the left. Mom with me. We need to blast those chains. Hopefully the Bewilderbeast will escape."
"On it." Stoick replied and Hiccup prepared himself for the battle.
"On my mark." Hiccup remarked holding onto the saddle. "Now!" he yelled and the dragons dove down. Toothless and Cloudjumper blasted the bow of Drago's ship. They landed on the deck as the other Riders blasted the surrounding ships. Toothless and Drago snarled as Drago walked past his fleeing men.
"The mighty Koll has returned!" Drago remarked with a tormenting glee.
"It's Hiccup. My real name." Hiccup corrected and Drago chuckled.
"So you found your birth family." Drago replied.
"Why did you take my son away from me?" Valka asked sharply and the madman just chuckled.
"You husband, Stoick the Vast survived my attack on the Chiefs many years ago. He called me a coward soon after. Hiccup was taken for revenge. Didn't suspect he would turn to be a weakling." Drago answered as one of his warships burst into flames. As the madman raised his staff in the air, Toothless fired a plasma blast sending it away.
"This ends now!" Hiccup remarked jumping off his saddle. The Rider took the sword and a small metal canister filled with Zippleback gas. He opened the canister and tossed it to Drago leaving a trail of gas. Hiccup ignited the sword encasing the blade in flames. "This is for my family." he added before igniting the gas with the sword. It exploded sending Drago overboard. Krogan charged but Cloudjumper fired fire at the man while Hiccup got back onto the saddle. The Rider retreated in a small victory. Hiccup saw the Bewilderbeast fleeing from the fleet and smiled. A dragon was freed and Drago may be gone for good. Ontop of that, he gets to keep his promise to Frida. They were going to return.
Thirteen Years Later
Hiccup watched as Gothi put the ceremonial cloth around Frida and Gulli Eirikson's hands. Today he gets to see his sister get married. Gulli is from another island, but with Drifter by her side, she'll visit home. But ultimately Hiccup was happy with his life on Berk. After Drago was injured all those years ago, Berk was at war with many surrounding tribes and Drago. After many deaths and changed hearts, Berk prevailed with the destruction of the Northern Alliance. Hiccup and Astrid started dating before marrying years later. Now the two were going to have a child. Life blessed Hiccup thanks to his dumb luck of crashing onto his home island. Everything Hiccup did was to help Berk. When his sister and Gulli kissed sealing the marriage. The people of Berk and Elvi cheered filling Hiccup with pride to see his sister getting married to a good man. Astrid leaned on Hiccup and he couldn't wait to be a father.
Sorry if this felt rushed, but writers block is coming back in and I wanted to fight back, but I hope you still enjoyed it. Anyways, I got several things planned. One, I am going to start on multiple stories. One Moden HTTYD(To be explained at a later date). Second, I will be doing a Crossover story soon.
