Adelle DeWitt had had a long and trying day. An active had gone off mission and created a public scene. The attention of the local police had been drawn and it was only some quick thinking on the part of her handler that disaster had been averted. The news had got back to the center more quickly than anyone would have expected, suspicious in itself, and she had just spent the last 15 minutes explaining herself on the phone to a rather irate Rossum Corporation VP. She felt the beginnings of a migraine coming on and gently massaged her temples. A long day.

But it was not over yet. There was a new client coming in. A very important client. A relationship that needed fostering if the Corporation was to take advantage of her connections in the future. The phone rang and on answering it DeWitt was informed that the client had arrived and was waiting. She composed herself before confirming that the client could be brought it. The door opened and a security guard escorted in a smartly dressed blonde woman in her late twenties.

"Congresswoman Summers, I'm delighted to meet you."

Echo was trimming a Bonsai Tree. She liked trimming the tree. She wanted it to be its best. Trimming the tree helped to focus her mind. Focus helped her to be her best. She considered for a moment, then gave the tree another small snip. The tree looked more balanced now. She was pleased, and displayed a beaming smile. The tree was now its best. She felt someone tap on her shoulder. It was a tall man. The man asked her if she would like a treatment. She stood and went with the man. She was pleased. Echo enjoyed her treatments.

The Congresswoman finished reading the revisions to her speech. It was a good speech. Not a great speech. But then it was a very challenging topic she was addressing.

She glanced at the speech one last time, then put in back in its manila folder and placed it on her desk. It would do. Enough work. She was grateful to Senator Burns for suggesting the Dollhouse to her as a discrete was of indulging herself. This weekend she would have some fun. She heard the doorbell ring and a smile came over her pretty young face. It was time.
