A tale of a Merchant changing fate.

While reading the WN again, I was reminded of just how much I hated Itsuki, and how much I pitied Motoyasu's final state, so I thought 'What if they had someone steer them right'. Of course, first idea was Shirou, but I thought 'No, that guy would just try to do everything himself', so then I remembered 'Hey, Sakura is also an ex-archery club member, right'. And that led to this.

Shirou Emiya is a man born to be a Hero in a time when they no longer exist. That changes when he's summoned to a world facing destruction. Now he must take up arms against the waves of calamity to save as many as he can. Rewrite of A Hero Long Forgotten.

"Oh, great his eyes are literally sparkling." please notice my very tired tone in this comment as I am currently having an existential crisis! As not only is my memories mess up, I was somehow summoned in the world of the rising of the shield hero!

We know of Naofumi's story. An ordinary person being summoned to save another world, only to be betrayed and put in dirt. But, who said that the Shield Spirit can always select the best candidate? What if someone else picked the book before Naofumi? What if it was a certain Hero of Justice? The setting (world) is kind of AU.

Naofumi has had enough of dealing with the heroes' idiocy by himself. If these people summoned him, why shouldn't he be able to summon a Servant from an Earth where the Moonlit World was real? With a little luck and catching the attention of a world-hopping vampire, it might just work- wait, who's this? Is this like...Archer's little sister or something?

When an overzealous Shirou jumps into a fight that he cannot win, his story comes to an end. Or does it? Appearing in a new world that bears striking similarities to a video game – and with absolutely no idea how video games work – can Shirou fulfill his dreams of becoming a Hero? And will that goal be any easier to achieve now that a Legendary Bow is stuck to his left hand?

Shirou never expected to be summoned to another world, but now all he wants to do is finish save it so that he could return home to his family. But it order to return home, he will first have to survive. First rule of surviving as a summoned hero, don't trust ANYONE. (Retiring this story)
