Damn my mind for never staying on one story. This was the work of a sleepless night and too much boredom. Hope you enjoy!
That was way too much planning for me. Literally days of none stop planning is just exhausting. Now I finally get to play around with the Dungeon! Let's set this up a little more for the lore of it. Let's have to stone worms be hostile to the dungeon but only have them attack each other when adventurers come close. Now let's do something truly exciting.
The creation of an evergaol is rather easy when you aren't traping something in a time lock. It's next to the entrance to the second floor off on a dead end. The rock worms definitely make a good marker for where it is. Inside is were the fun begins.
Fist thing is making sure this guy doesn't gain sentence. Gaia's designs are the work of desperation so there's many mistakes. If too many strong adventures die in the dungeon it overloads. Kinda like taking to big of a drink. All the extra mana goes right into the ones that are closes. That gives them enough raw mana to form thoughts of their own. Thankfully I can store any of the extra mana my new guys make.
Time to make the design of him. A dried out corpse will make it truly unlikeable. Let's add in a hole bunch of frost magic stones poking out of him. Let's wrap him up in magical frost chains and locks for flavor. A magical book in one hand and a huge ball and chain finish off the look nicely. He'll just need some basic frost spells like a wave stomp and frost spears. I'll add in some soft voice likes about never going back, it's mine now, and other stuff like that.
Hmm, how about I make it where he has less chains when there's stronger people. How well I let them know that? A flashy light show over one person at a time as a scan of levels well do. Each level of the person will break a chain in a very showy way. He'll get faster and have new moves for challenging stronger adventures, but still can be a boss for the first few floors with special rewards for killing him in different ways. A timer of a day should be good for now.
It'll be a nice touch to slowly add more rock worms and make it look like they're looking for something. Now I just have to wait some time for everything to be found. Turning to the waiting group brings an strained smile to my face. " Sorry about the long wait. Now, who wants to fight on Gaia's behalf? Don't worry thought, I'll make a new body for all of you here." The Xenos are a surprising nice bunch to be around. Maybe it's because I only look slightly human? It's hard to get angry at someone so small it seems.
" What do you mean new bodies?" Many of those gathered here all start to talk among themselves. A single hand raised makes them quite down. " It is as I said. I'll be giving you all bodies of flesh and blood. Mother always planed on it, but had to use you as simple monster to help feed her. It has only came to that because of true desperation and not out of dislike."
" Why has mother let this happen? We've been living in fear and confusion our hole life's!" Looks like a lot of them are angry about all this. Can't say I blame them thought. " Gaia is too kind of a mother. After defeating the other Titans she was barely holding onto life. Also, right before dieing the Titans but a powerful curse on the lands to next again produce mana. Instead of taking the very life's she wanted to protect, she let herself degrade and wither. When she was on the verge of death she lost all reason and went more... primal. She used your unfinished forms to help keep her alive. Hopefully now, with all our help we can restore this world to how it's supposed to be."
" I'm all for it! Hopefully I'll be able to bask in the suns light! What do you need of me?" The first one forward is an upbeat red lizard man. I put a tiny hand on his toe. " All you most do is accept me as your goddess. From their I shall make you whole." In barely a second he's on his knee head bowed. " If you let me bask in the sun's rays I'll follow you tell the end my goddess."
Hmm, it'll be for the best if I make him more human. I really want to make them look like argonians, but that's a little too monstrous for now. I'll give them pointed ears like an elf but with small scales on them. I'll make the scales on the back, arms and legs thicker but make the head, chest, hands, and feet human looking. The tail ties off the look nicely. " Now how does that feel? Oh yeah, here's some pants for you."
If I had blood I'd be redder than a tomato right now. Looks like the default genitalia for the lizard men are duel shafted. He walks away with a bow as he tries to but on the pants. The next one up is a colorful harpy. " If possible... I'd love to fly under the open sky! I won't do it if I can do that."
" Do not worry, I'll make sure you can fly under the sky you love." She gives me a blinding smile as she awkwardly kneels. This is a rather easy change compared to the last one. The look of horror is almost physical as her winged hands turn human. I quickly go faster and bring forth her new wings. From her back new muscles grow. Wings larger than she is tall come forth. Clawed feet turn human next. To keep with the theme I also make her ears pointed. I hand her a new pair of pants as she walks off.
Next up is a green dragonoid. They only give a small grunt before bowing their head. My hand gently brushes against one of his many scars. I mainly follow the first one's template but with some key differences. Slightly bigger scales, thicker tail, horns, and a huge pair of wings. He really looks like a badass grandpa dragon lord.
" I... I shall follow you even after my last breath. Please, save my family from this never ending violence. My body may be old, but I won't stop protecting those I care about!" It's pretty jarring seeing him full on cry his eyes out. My hand gently put his new pants on his lap. " Your talents will be used well to ensure this world's future. Steal yourself for the trails ahead of us."
He steps away and tries to calm himself. Many others come to comfort him. " How do we know what you say is true? Are you just planning to enslave and kill us like all the others? Show us some proof that what you say is true." Hmm, how to go about this. Gaia, can you help me out here. - Love you all, Curse, Help-
All of the people here go silent as they hear their mother speak to them. " If you turn out like the rest I WILL find a way to kill you." The very aggressive gargoyle only steps up to me. I may have just... gotten lazy and just copied the other's. Just with flexible stone instead of scales. Thankfully he just grabs the pants and walks away.
Many others got fully changed. By the time all of them got fully changed I was completely spent. "Please stay safe for now. I've used up too much of my power. When I awaken we shall be moving to the surface. Please gather all of the others before then." I can barely finish before dozing off to sleep.
