ESL here so I'm not too sure about my grammer. I just wrote this for fun.
"So, you're telling me that some mysterious guy gave you this box full of videotapes, for free, and you haven't found any of that suspicious at all?"
"Well~ he was quite a fun guy you know? It's actually my first time, aside from my dad, to talk with someone who finds my jokes 'punny,' see what I did there? And besides, someone who jabs with puns and gives free stuff can't thaaat bad... but if these tapes filled with 'you know' then that's a different story."
A groan can be heard from Blake.
"ugh, I highly doubt someone would just give you some porn out of the blue. Unless some degenerate wanted to befriend or share his interest with you."
"Oh! Like when you open up to me—"
A book was thrown at Yang's face but was easily caught with two hands. She peeked behind the book she had caught just to see Blake blushing, which was cute as always.
Blake quickly realize that it was out of character for her to suddenly throw her book. dammit, she's regretting sharing her 'interest' with Yang because she's been getting teased a lot if given the chance.
Well, she could just frown at Yang and she would immediately stop. Yang's really good at reading expression when nobody's looking, but not perceptive at reading fake ones.
"Alright, alright, I'll stop. Anyways, what should we do with this box? I don't see any pranks in this or anything suspicious."
"...Let's wait for Ruby and Weiss. As much as I want to return this stuff back, there is some tapes that catches my eyes..."
She doesn't know why but it feels like she's drawn to it. Maybe it's because of her nerdy curiosity, and it would be a waste not to watch them. It was a gift after all.
Blake wasn't the only one that was curious, in fact, Yang was excited. She also doesn't know why but she can sense some of these tapes have action based on some titles of the tapes.
"W-we're home..."
"Speak of the Grimm! Welcome home Rubs and Ice Quee... Professor Goodwitch!?"
Yang exclaimed as load as she could. Oooh crap, Yang could already imagine Glynda's fury once she finds out how dangerously hazardous their room is.
Yang's panic was just as the same as Blake as she hurriedly went to her room, hiding all her questionable literatures which even an inspector would have trouble finding, she even arranged the (fake)bunk beds back to where It belongs.
When she came back to Yang, she was so exhausted that she just sat on the couch like her life was drained.
'That... was fast of Blake. She really didn't want her erotic novels confiscated, huh?' Yang thought with a little bit of admiration towards the faunus.
"Good afternoon Ms. Xiao Long, and Ms. Belladona. I do hope you have been taking care of your dorms well."
"O-of course. Uhmm, what brings you here today with Ruby and Weiss, if you don't mind me asking, professor...?" Yang asked in a nervous voice.
Instead of answering immediately, Professor Glynda scanned the room searching for something, and she found it.
She walked up to the box that was on the table, and used her Semblance to open it slowly, only to find that it was full of... videotapes?
"Umm, Professor...?"
"...Truthfully children, I came here because there has been a mailman causing havock in Beacon." A gasp can be heard from each the group. "You see, he's nothing dangerous of the sorts, but he has been quite a nuisance lately to your seniors and teachers. Almost like a certain crow..."
If looks could kill then Glynda fits the bill. Ruby and Yang gulped, somehow they knew who professor was referring to. Well, their uncle did prank them time to time when they were little, so could it be him?
Nah, It can't be. Yang was sure because his voice was more like...? The hell? She couldn't recall for some reason. And was he even dressed up as a mailman?
For Ruby, well, she knew that uncle Qrow would either prank them or their bullies so that's that. She can't imagine Qrow pranking some strangers.
While Yang was busy thinking, and Ruby eating cookies from a jar that she bought from a store. Weiss wanted to know more about the notorious prankster, and she certainly didn't want to become one of his victims.
"Um, professor. He's just dressed as a mailman right? Wouldn't it be easier to find him since it makes him standout in the Academy? Or better yet, we can contact the mail department to confirm if he actually works there so we can have him fired for disobeying the postal policy. Or have him jailed."
"Geez Weiss, that's pretty cold, your nickname isn't just for show you know that right?"
Yang said in a surprising tone, while she didn't voiced her opinion on the prankster, even she thinks going to jail is a bit much. The guy didn't used violence or anything so she doesn't really see the point of him rotting in jail.
She actually kinda liked the guy so it would be a pity if she couldn't converse with him in the future. And he has clever puns as well so maybe he could teach her some if they were to meet again.
Plus, she wanted to figure out why she couldn't discern his voice and features. It was getting annoying the more she tries to remember him.
"Um, Weiss. Maybe going to jail is a bit... you know, much? Sure, he does prank and stuff but it's not like he's on Nora's level, right?" Ruby said worriedly.
"That's... right, maybe I was a bit too cold. But I still stand my point."
As always, when Weiss declares that she's right with something, it would be near to impossible to convince her. But over the years, that tendency had lowered to which the group RBY approves gratefully.
Glynda sighed and replied with stern voice.
"Ms. Schnee, as much as I want to praise you for your approach, do please not to take us professionals lightly. We've already done all the methods that you've suggested in the past year and we still have not caught him. Headmaster has been on the edge because of this individual, but he proves to be harmless nonetheless, not yet anyway."
"A year?!" RWBY was shocked that there was someone other than Nora was in a pranking streak.
"Well now, children. I'll be taking this now—"
Glynda felt a shock when she tried to take it with her, the vein on her head was visible that it made the group of teens sweat. She tried again, only with the use of her levitating Semblance, to which it only amplified the shock more and blasted her.
"P-professor?! Are you alright?" To Glynda's surprised, it was Ruby that caught her and helped her up. Well, she did admire her after all, even though she left a bad impression on her when she first meet her. Perhaps she should give her a cookie after this incident.
"Thank you, Ruby. This box might be the first lethal prank the individual used... No, this amount of shock could've killed a Non-Aura user. Wait here, I shall contact the professor."
She urgently walked to the door and tried to open it, only for ot to be locked. She used an all purpose dorm key that she always brings with her, only to have it snapped in the keyhole.
Glynda was mad... She didn't have time for this nonsense. So she brought up her Scroll to call for the Headmaster, only to have it display "No Signal".
"That won't be necessary, Glynda."
"Headmaster Ozpin...?"
Behind RWBY was Ozpin. Somehow, the headmaster of Beacon Academy was teleported in the Bedroom. He explained Glynda the details in which he was confused as she was.
While the group RWBY was just sitting in the couch giving the teachers privacy. Blake was sweating bullets, oh dear, she does hope the headmaster didn't inspect their room.
"—And that's how I got here. Getting teleported here is nauseating to say the least."
"This man Oz... He's dangerous, for the past year he has shown different types of abilities. And not once has he been caught, do you think maybe he's—"
The TV suddenly turned on. Only to have it say "PUT THE VIDEOTAPE IN THE VCR ALREADY!!" and turned off.
"Y-yang, w-what as that...?" Ruby stuttering while hugging Weiss due to jump scare. "Get off me you dolt!"
"Idk, but it looks like i'm not the only impatient one here." Yang grins as he have Blake in her arms in a bridal style. She wanted to hug Ruby's cuteness but it looks like she already had a cutie in her arms~
Only in result to Blake scratching Yang's face like a cat.
"Yang! Get off me!" Blake hissed, technically it was her fault for landing on Yang's arms, but Yang just wouldn't let go of her so it's not her fault if Yang got cat scratches on her face.
"Calm down, children. For now, it looks like this individual wants us to watch these videotapes."
"Indeed, Glynda. It's the first time the notorious prankster of Beacon was gracious enough to give us a... gift. Oh, be sure to carefully pick one since we don't know what's inside."
"Yes headmaster!"
