Love Never Goes Out of Style/Ch 11
Betty stirred and looked next to her to see Daniel, sleeping peacefully in her bed. She had Daniel Meade in her bed.
The little girl with glasses and frizzy hair who wore the New Kids on the Block tee shirt over her swimsuit to Leslie Lavine's pool party actually had a guy like Daniel in her bed.
After an incredible night together. And he definitely hadn't beat a hasty morning after retreat. Quite the contrary. He was still here, sleeping. Naked. Part of her felt like doing cartwheels.
She took a deep breath, almost afraid to move, for fear she would wake up and find out it was all a dream again, like before. Was this really happening?
She couldn't help herself; she peeked. Yep, that was definitely him; every inch of him, alright. She blushed slightly.
As she got up to go take a shower, and pray he didn't disappeared when she returned, she felt a firm hand grip her wrist and she gasped, as Daniel pulled her back onto the bed and playfully rolled on top of her, holding her down, grinning.
"Were you actually peeking at me just now? Didn't get a good enough look last night, huh?" he teased.
She bit her lip, and stuttered, "I was...uh...just not sure I was really awake." She rolled her eyes at her own pathetic excuse for ogling him. Really, Betty? That was totally lame!
He raised his eyebrow, "Hmm...I see. So, you're telling me you've had dreams of me naked in your bed before?"
"No! Of course not. I didn't say that!"
"Well, yeah, you kind of did, Betty. You just said you thought you might be still sleeping. Which implies that if you were dreaming...you might expect to find me in bed with you, right?"
"I don't know, Daniel. I was just... confused, that's all. I'm...sorry."
He still had her trapped underneath him, "You don't have to be sorry, Betty. I don't mind; you can look all you want. I'm not shy.
But fair's fair. Don't I get a peek, too?" He started trying to peek under the covers at her, but she had pulled the sheet up tighter and eventually, he seemed to give up in frustration.
However, the second she let down her guard, he pulled down the sheet and raised his eyebrows on seeing her topless for a second. She pulled the sheet back up, embarrassed, "Daniel! Stop! Cut it out!"
He grinned, "Hey, I've seen them already, you know. Last night. They are fairly spectacular, though."
She blushed, "Uh...thanks, I guess."
"Betty, seriously, why are you so shy or whatever? I mean, do you have any idea how many women would give anything to have what you've got?
And believe me, if they did they sure as hell wouldn't hide them like you do! I mean, it's adorable that you're so modest and all, but...you don't have to be with me."
"I don't know, Daniel. I guess I'm just embarrassed because I'm so...used to being made fun of for being...big."
"Since when-high school? Come on, Betty, let it go, babe. Besides, bigger is sometimes better." he smirked. "I know it works that way with guys, obviously. And where it counts for women, too.
You've got a teeny, tiny waist, so it's not like you're big anywhere else, well, other than your huge ass, of course."
She hit him and he laughed, holding up his hand,
"I'm joking, You've got a great ass, too. You've got nothing to be embarrassed about, believe me, sweetie.
You're totally hot, Betty. Being short is NOT necessarily a bad thing. Unless you want to be a supermodel... or a basketball player maybe, who cares? I kind of like that you're petite. I think it's cute."
She smiled somewhat shyly, "Thanks, Daniel. That's sweet."
He put his arm around her. "So...how do you feel today? Weird? Hopefully, not having any regrets about last night, are you?"
She shook her head, "No. I feel good. Are you...having regrets?"
He made a face, "God, no! I was only afraid you would think we should stay friends forever or something. No, I definitely wanted last night to happen. Couldn't you tell?"
She smiled, "Well, you seemed...um...happy."
"Happy? Try freaking ecstatic! If I knew how to do one any more without breaking my neck, I'd be doing a handstand right now!"
She laughed, and her smile spread, "Me, too."
He traced his finger across her lips, "Really?"
She nodded, gazing into those amazing blue eyes of his, feeling herself get hypnotized, "Mmm hmmm."
He leaned down to kiss her, pulling her even closer to him.
She deepened the kiss as she wrapped her arms firmly around his muscular back and let her hands slide down to his backside. She found she couldn't help herself from glancing at where her hands were currently resting.
Daniel moved his lips apart from her slightly, still on top of her, "Enjoying the view, Betty?"
Wow, he kept catching her! Of course, it wasn't everyday she had Daniel's quite fit naked body on top of her, with her hands on his nice, firm butt, so perhaps she could be forgiven.
She started to blush again at first, but then gave him a small smile, "Actually, yeah. I sort of am...enjoying it. Do you mind?"
He grinned, "No. Not really. But if you keep looking at me, I'm looking at you, Miss Suarez. Quid pro quo."
He quickly pulled down the sheet she had been clinging to and raised his eyebrows. "Wow! Bellissima!"
He began kissing his way down her neck to her breasts and let his hands and mouth thoroughly wander and enjoy her sensuous curves for a while.
Soon, things began to heat up between them and they kissed fervently as they made love again. Just as they started coming down from their orgasm high, they heard a knock and grabbed the long discarded sheet on the floor.
Daniel looked at her, "Expecting someone?"
She shook her head, "No! I swear, Amanda or Marc better not have any more keys, though! Or I'm going to kill them both!"
"Yeah, me, too. I wasn't done by a long shot."
She looked at him, surprised, "Really? I mean... you were um, finished that time, though, right?"
He smirked, "Well, yeah, but I want more, Betty. Once is never enough, you know?"
She grinned, "I'm getting to see that with you. No wonder you're so popular with the ladies. You think like a woman. I thought multiple orgasms was our thing!"
He laughed, then scowled as the knocking started again. Seriously, if this was Marc and Amanda again...! They heard a somewhat soft male voice, "AB? Are you there?
I have a key, but I don't want to just come in. Are you home? Are you awake? I can't find Marc and I really need to talk!"
"Justin?" Betty panicked, pushing Daniel away from her and motioning, and whispering to him, frantically, "Go, please! Go wait in the bathroom while I see what he needs. Please?"
He nodded, and grabbed his boxers and a few scattered clothes from her floor and chair, wherever he could on the way.
She quickly got up and started dressing and threw the comforter back over the bed as she called out, "Hey, Justin! Hang on. I'm here. I'll be right there, honey."
She glanced back at Daniel and mouthed, "Sorry! I'll hurry."
He nodded, then closed the door, after grabbing a book to read, while he waited for Betty to see what her nephew wanted to talk about so much that he would wake up early and ride the subway into Manhattan on a Saturday morning.
"Hey, Justin! What brings you here so early on a Saturday? You said something about not being able to find Marc. Is everything okay?
What is it you need to talk about, sweetie? Are you having trouble dealing with your mom getting married? I...thought you liked Bobby, though."
"No, I do. It's not about him, really. At least, not what you mean. I'm happy for my mom, AB. It's not that."
She motioned for him to come and sit down in the kitchen and asked him, "Chamomile?"
He nodded, but chose to pace for a bit, before he blurted out, "Bobby saw me and Austin kissing! Now I'm scared to death he's going to say something before their wedding and I don't know if I'm ready for that."
Betty smiled slightly, not really knowing if she should pretend to be surprised at his admission or not,
"Kissing, huh? Wow! Okay, well...first of all, I wouldn't worry at all about Bobby saying anything. Did you ask him not to? Tell him you didn't know if you were...up to dealing with things right now?"
He nodded. "Yeah. He said it would be just between us."
She hugged her nephew, and shook her head, "Oh, Justin. Honey, you know, you have nothing to worry about, okay? You know that, right?
Not with your mom, or me, or your grandpa. We all love you so much. We're so proud of you. Of the man you're becoming.
The person you choose to love is a very lucky person, no matter who it is, Lily, or Austin, or...whoever."
She took the tea and handed it to him, and sat down as she sipped her own. He took a sip, then thought about what she had said, "I know. It's just...hard to say.
I feel like, once I say something, everything is going to change. My whole life is going to be so...different."
She nodded, "I know what you mean, Justin. Change can be scary. But different isn't always a bad thing. Sometimes change can be great. Really great.
You can't live your life afraid to step out of your comfort zone. You might be really missing out on some pretty amazing things if you do."
Justin nodded, "I know, AB. I guess I just don't want to steal Mom's thunder, for one thing. She's waited a long time for her moment in the spotlight.
She deserves this. I don't want to take that away from her. But me coming out, just before her wedding might upstage her a little. Just like you not wanting anybody to know you and Daniel are finally together just yet."
Her eyes snapped to his little smirk, as he nodded at one of Daniel's shoes on the living room floor.
She shrugged, trying to think of a lie. It was only a shoe, after all, not that incriminating, but then Daniel himself came out of her bedroom, in his boxers, and smiled, "Uh, hey, Justin. Sorry, I didn't mean to eavesdrop.
And I know you didn't ask my opinion, but I say, tell your mom. She loves you. She's going to be really happy if you are. It's nice to feel free to share your joy with your friends and family, right?"
Justin nodded, "I know. Maybe you're right, Daniel. My mom is pretty cool. I'm a lot luckier than Marc and Austin. Listen, I know you two want to be alone. I might call Austin and see if he can meet me in the city today.
Now I think I'll try to see if Marc is hiding at Barney's again, hanging out in the dressing room and that's why he didn't get my text. Have fun! Use a condom, though. I'm not quite ready for a little cousin yet."
"JUSTIN!" Betty blushed, as she ushered her nephew out. He hugged her then laughed, and held up his hands, "Kidding! You're so sensitive, AB! Bye, UD!"
"Bye Justin! Sorry to cut into your time with your aunt."
"No problem! See you at the wedding. I mean...Mom's, of course." he winked and left.
Daniel laughed, as Betty walked over to him and hit his arm, trying not to notice how nice his biceps were as she did, "Daniel! You couldn't wait a few more minutes?"
"No, Betty! He clearly needed male support. I really like Justin. I always have. He's a great kid! It must be really hard for him to figure things out right now. Being a teenage boy is really confusing."
"So is being a teenage girl."
"I'm sure it is. I wouldn't know. You'll have to ask Alexis there. And I...wait, I know he calls you AB all the time. Did he just call me...?" His eyes widened. "Oh."
She grinned, and handed him the carton of orange juice he had started to get. "Yeah, he did. Here you go, UD. Sorry, jk. I couldn't resist.
It's a teenage thing. You wouldn't understand. Being such an old guy. I was only a kid myself when he was born. So, Justin and I are really close."
"Old guy? I didn't hear you complaining about this old guy half an hour ago. Or last night. Twice. Four, maybe five times for you, miss teenage dream!" He backed her up to the fridge, putting his hands on either side of her, looking down.
She grinned, "Ooh, sorry, dude. I didn't know you were so touchy in the morning, Daniel! Do you need some coffee? Did I wear you out or something? Do you need a nap?"
He took a drink of the juice and slammed it onto the counter, giving her a challenging glare, "I don't think so. Wear me out? Huh! We'll just see about that! You're the one who's going to need a nap, Miss Suarez!"
