Chapter 1: A Night Out

A young, blonde teen sat with his face pressed firmly against a counter. The cold sensation seeping into his cheek helped sooth the annoying headache he was suffering from. This wasn't a feeling he was used to, certainly not over something as minor as this.

His vision was blurry as he opened his eyes, taking in a scene far from what he was used to.

Just why had he decided to come here in the first place?

A few hours earlier…

It was another night after a long mission for Team Possible, there had been an attack on some remote location. They'd made their way there as quickly as they could, from that point on things went as they usually did… Finding clues, trying to make sense of what was obviously a scheme cooked up by one of the baddies the pair fought on a regular basis.

The hacker of the team had informed them of a new location they'd have to pay a visit to very soon, in order to put a stop to the nefarious plan… as they always did! Nothing out of the ordinary, certainly not new by any means…

That was the problem, really. It wasn't a normal day… at least for him.

Ron Stoppable was just about ready to turn eighteen! It was a rite of passage, or so he'd frequently heard! He wanted nothing more than to try something new, with his best friend right there next to him!

Sadly, his plans almost never went as well as he'd hoped. Unfortunately, today was a great example of that.

"Sorry Ron, I have to go over the info we got from Wade… Maybe take the night off, REALLY check it out…" the redheaded heroine apologized, as they were both dropped off by their ride home.

The blonde sidekick wanted to ask what there was to even check at this point, hadn't they stopped the villain already? Had he missed something during the mission, while he'd been a bit distracted?

"What did you want to do?" she asked with a small smile, staring at her partner.

"Oh… nothing much, really. Just hit up Bueno Nacho, before I head home!" he quickly replied, slightly uncomfortable with his lie. How could he explain to her that he wanted to try something new? Kim would invariably want to know why. That would, in turn, bring up the uncomfortable topic of her completely forgetting about his birthday.

"Then you go ahead, Ron! We did some good work today, you deserve some time off to have fun!" the redheaded teen assured her friend. "I'm afraid I've got to look over the evidence we found today, just in case! Enjoy yourself, Ron!" Kim urged, her face slightly red. She bid him goodbye, walking off towards her house.

Ron Stoppable was left alone, out on the street. He had two obvious choices at the moment… Should he walk home and go to sleep, ending the day that was supposed to be special to him? Or maybe go and have some Bueno Nacho, before he hit the sack?

Both options didn't seem all too appealing to him… the blonde teen wanted to try something NEW! To go and indulge in something he'd always been hesitant about! Sure, he would have loved to try it with Kim… He just couldn't be that selfish, even when he felt that his indignation was justified.

Was this really how it was going to be? Ron, by himself, like so many times in the past?

'Wait…' his mind whispered. 'Can't I just go alone? Give it a try for myself?'

He started walking down the road, eyes firmly staring forward …and, for once, Bueno Nacho wasn't his destination.

The young Stoppable arrived at the very spot he'd wanted to celebrate his birthday with his friends. This was the first time he'd been in a real bar as a customer, not because of a mission.

The lights were dim, everything looked to be on the quieter side of things. Not edgy, or punk, by any means. It looked like an elegant establishment, all things considered.

Smooth jazz music could be heard playing clearly in the background, despite the many people sitting around. It was far from the clubs he and Kim had visited during a few of their missions… There were no rowdy crowds running around, or shouting at the top of their lungs, while drunk. The largest group he could see were four guys sitting at a table, drinking quietly while talking pleasantly about something.

This place was as chill as they came… with the only thing out of place being him.

Ron felt a bit lost as wandered over towards his best option, the bar. The blonde boy found himself grateful that he'd chosen to come here immediately after his mission. With his black shirt and grey pants, at least his clothes seemed to fit right in.

Ron sat down at the bar, a casual glance telling him that it fairly empty. Most people were drinking by themselves, or with a partner.

'Must be nice…' he mused looking around, the feel of the place was already calming down.

"Hey there… what can I get you?" a deep baritone quietly asked.

Looking up Ron finally noticed the bartender, he was standing over the counter and staring his way.

"Ah… I-" Ron wanted to answer, but was caught unprepared at the sudden question. This was his first (and probably last) time in an actual bar, he really wanted to make the most of it. Could he, for once, NOT look like a total idiot?

The blonde teen glanced at the different bottles arranged neatly behind the counter, before shifting his gaze back to the bartender. He was an older man, with gray hair turning white. A black blazer sat on top of a blue shirt, it made him look dignified and handsome.

"Give me… something strong…" the blonde requested, looking away.

The bartender glanced at the younger teen for a few seconds, before he smiled and turned his back. "Sure thing…" he replied, starting to mix something on the counter behind him.

After a few seconds the older man presented Ron a tall, slender glass with a clear golden liquid and a few ice cubes within. "Here you go…"

Ron inspected the glass for a moment before swallowing his fears and taking a sip, to his great surprise it tasted sweet and went down easily.

"Wow, this is really good!" Ron commented, he'd heard somewhere that only people with the highest tolerance could actually drink liquor and enjoy it like it was water. "What is it?" Ron asked excitedly, eager for the answer.

"Ginger Ale…" the older man responded with a smile.

"What?" Ron MUST have heard him wrong.

"It's Ginger Ale… you can even tell by the smell…" He noticed the look the blonde teen was giving him. "What did you expect it to be?"

"Something strong? Like I asked?" the blonde sidekick answered. Great, he was already making a fool out of himself… nothing new there!

"I figured that someone who's never had a drop of alcohol wouldn't respond very well to my strongest mix…" the older bartender shot back with a small smirk.

"Ah… I take it you could tell pretty easily…", disappointment hit the blonde teen like a ton of bricks.

"For me it was… So, what's brought you here tonight? Having trouble?" he prompted pleasantly, starting to polish a clear glass with a white towel.

Ron was silent for a few seconds, looking away in shame. It was very uncharacteristic for him to simply blabber out his inner demons, especially in a place like this…

"Look… I may be an old man, but I've heard and experienced just about anything you could have… Might as well give it a try, maybe it'll help…" There was no judgment in his tone.

Ron swallowed hard, he nodded once and talked.

"Mmm… I see…" the old bartender interjected, after listening to the blonde's tale.

"So?" the blonde sidekick asked tiredly.

"I'll be honest with you, Ron… Compared to all of the problems I've heard up to this point, yours is one of the more normal ones… Nothing too complicated, but still not simple…" The glass he was polishing was set down, next to a few others.

"So… any advice about what I should do then?" Ron could only hope that the older man wouldn't just make fun of him, or his simple issue.

"Advice? Sure thing, just talk to her about it…" The bartender smiled when the blonde sidekick shot him an annoyed look. "What? From what little you've told me… you and her seem like lovers-"

"Which we are not…" Ron bit out. The older man seemed to be hinting that there were some sort of feelings hiding under the surface, Ron was quick to dispel that nonsense.

"Which you are not…", the bartender smiled. "So… I don't see why it would do anything to harm the relationship between you two."

"But I-… I don't want to make it weird between us… I like the way things are right now, so…" Ron stated. Even if he wanted to complain about something, he wasn't quite sure how to describe it.

The older bartender stared at the young blonde. He pulled one glass out of the clean pile and grabbed a clear bottle with a golden liquid inside, pouring a bit into the glass. "My advice is still here, if that helps… and THIS may make things a bit clearer." He pushed the glass forward, before walking away to serve a new customer who had just sat down at the far side of the bar.

The blonde sidekick of Team Possible stared at the glass for a few seconds, the sheen of the drink reflecting the dim light of the bar. Ron's hand slid forward to take a hold of it, the cool sensation feeling pleasant against his palm. The strong scent it gave off clearly illustrated that it really was alcohol this time, he pulled it forward and took a small taste.

The flavor was strong to him, incredibly so… but for some reason he really liked it.

The feeling he got from it spread around his chest before reaching his stomach, lighting a fire inside of him. It was already enough to lighten the sour mood his earlier confession had left him with.

"That stuff hits pretty hard, doesn't it?" remarked someone from behind him.

Ron turned his head to the side upon hearing the female voice, looking at the woman. She was a slightly older blonde beauty, with a platinum streak in her blonde hair. She had green-blue eyes, along with tanned skin. She seemed to be slightly taller than him, from what he could tell. She wore a pair of high, white boots. A short blue skirt with a dark blue top hugged a slender, but curvaceous, figure. In all honestly, this woman appeared to be drop-dead gorgeous… by any standards.

Ron wasn't someone who'd had much luck with women. He was most likely about to say something stupid, or childish, any moment now… it was the natural order of things.

"It does, although it IS my first time drinking it…" Ron simply shrugged, tilting his glass slightly in her direction.

The older women smiled at his words. "Oh… so we're popping a cherry over here, huh? Mind if I join you?" the blonde beauty asked, moving to claim the free seat next to him.

'Huh? What?' his mind yelped. He took a glance at her exposed legs as she took her seat, the beauty looked him over.

"Aren't you here with anyone?" Ron managed to say, he put down his now-empty glass on the bar.

She smiled at him beautifully, "little ol' me? No… I'm all alone, for now… Why would you think I was?" she wondered, interest in her gaze.

"Well, a beauty like you by yourself? That should be considered a crime, pretty much anywhere…" His voice came out a bit differently than usual, gone was the stuttering and mumbling, much to his surprise.

Her smile swelled. "Oh! Not bad… not bad at all!" She giggled at his words. "For that alone, you get the pleasure of drinking with me…" She tapped a few times on the bar, the bartender noticing and moving over to the pair.

"I'll have the same as him…", she pointed at the empty glass, "and a refill…"

Two glasses filled with the golden liquid were presented. The older blonde grabbed her glass and took a small sip of it, a soft moan escaping her full lips. "The first taste is always the strongest…" She smiled before taking a bigger sample. "So, Cherry… what's your reason for coming here?" the beauty asked the blonde boy next to her, he took a drink as well.

"Cherry?" Ron asked with a raised eyebrow, he lowered his glass.

"Yep, seeing as this is the first time I've ever seen you here… Plus, you admitted this is your first time trying this-", she lifted her glass up just a bit, "…it just sort of fits…"

The blonde member of Team Possible wanted to protest her strange logic, he took a small breath before elaborating. "To be fair… it's not just that it's my first time trying this… it's my first time drinking…" Ron explained, feeling surprisingly good about correcting her.

The young woman didn't respond right away, then the smile on her face became even more prominent. "Well now, that makes me even MORE right than before…" She started to giggle, most likely at his expense.

Ron sighed, "I guess it does…", he wasn't sure why he failed to find her teasing offensive. He honestly didn't know if it was because of the drink he'd had, or something else entirely.

"So, Cherry, what's little ol' you doing here all alone?" She was clearly enjoying herself… if only at his expense.

"Well, you'll be disappointed to know that I only came to try out this kind of place… at least once…" His response had been honest, even if he believed that it would most likely put her off.

The beauty staring at him seemed to read him like a book; "Mmm… too bad for you that I'm not disappointed…", she smirked at him once more. "Besides, it doesn't matter who you came with… what matters is who you LEAVE with…" The beauty winked at him, before taking another drink.

The blonde teen could very easily see what the beauty had implied there but, for some reason, he didn't respond as he thought he would. 'Is it the drink?' he pondered. Why else would he be this comfortable talking to such a pretty woman, as opposed to making a fool out of himself (like he had every other time)?

In response to her comment, he simply smiled and glanced at her. "True… I suppose that the same applies to you, right?"

"Oh~! Cherry, if I didn't know any better, I'd think you're trying to hit on me." Despite her words, her tone was light and amused.

"I guess I'll just have to try harder then…" Ron took another drink, the two of them chatting as the night went on.

After almost an hour of conversation (and a few more empty glasses), the two blondes were now busily talking about a few random topics.

He'd discovered that his blonde partner was a student going on her second year for a degree in law, Ron had admitted how impressed he was.

The girl simply shrugged off the compliment, claiming that it was no big deal. More of a chore, than anything. "To be honest with you Cherry, I'd rather work on my art… But sadly, that's not really in the cards at the moment…" the beauty explained, she noticed the interest in his expression. "My father insists that I focus on something that would help me in the long run… I would have argued at the time, if he hadn't promised me that he would pay for my schooling until I graduate… He insisted that I could work on my art as a hobby, said it would make it more enjoyable… Something about keeping it separated from my source of income, making sure I wouldn't grow to hate it if things didn't go well…"

Ron listened intently, placing his glass down. "Well… I can't say I don't agree with the guy… It is a sensible thing to do, even if you should be able to decide for yourself…"

"Really now?" Her fine eyebrow rose up at his words, she seemed surprised. "Usually most people agree with me, not my dad… Are you trying a new angle here?"

"A new angle? You do remember it's my first time meeting you, right?" the monkey master chuckled, taking a taste from his newly acquired drink. "It's just that I can see the logic in his actions… He's worried about you, for sure. Correct me if I'm wrong, but he probably forced your hand… right?" She nodded for conformation and cupped her chin as she stared at him.

"Yeah, I know…"

"I can't say I'm not a bit envious of you…" Ron admitted, his drinking partner tilting her head to the side. "I would LOVE to get the same treatment from my parents… they're ALWAYS on vacation…"

"Still?" the blonde beauty commented quietly.

"Still what?"

"Forget it. Let's just toast to our dads… that think they know better!" She lifted her glass just a little bit, making him chuckle.

"I'll drink to that!" he exclaimed, they both clinked their glasses and took a sip.

"Oh, there you are… and here I thought that you'd gone home alone by now" a cool, pleasant voice interjected. Ron glanced behind himself.

He instantly spotted the tall, tan, brunette beauty standing there. Her light brown hair was paired with the same blue-green eyes that his new drinking partner had.

"Hey sis… what are you doing here?" the blonde bombshell next to him asked with a small smile, her tone light.

"Don't you 'sis' me, you didn't even pick up when I called you earlier…" the brunette growled, she held her phone out and gestured at it.

"Oh… right, sorry sis… I was busy." The pretty blonde woman pointed at her company.

Ron could feel the stare of the beautiful brunette. It didn't seem judging, or even critical, she honestly simply looked surprised.

"Who's your friend?" the beauty asked, her eyes locked onto his, as if trying to place him somewhere.

"I'm-" Ron attempted to introduce himself. Properly this time, that is… He was sadly denied, cut off by the blonde girl next to him.

"This is Cherry! He came up and hit on me… He was so persistent, in fact, that I was overwhelmed. To the point of giving in, and ignoring your calls!" the blonde woman explained. "So, I'm not to blame this time!"

The blonde sidekick was about to comment upon the fairytale he'd just heard, when he noticed that her sister looked even more skeptical than he did.

"Sure you aren't…" she lilted, stretching her words to show just how much she bought her sister's lie. "So, I'm guessing you want to stay for a little bit longer?"

The blonde woman nodded with a smile. "Yes! It's too early to let the night die out…"

"I figured as much…" The brunette sat next to Ron, both she and her sister on either side of him. "So… Cherry, was it?" She stared at him, as clearly amused by the name as her sister was.

"Sure, why not?" the monkey master shrugged, accepting the nickname he'd been given. He had a strong feeling that it was better to simply agree with the girls… at least it put them both in a good mood.

She smiled at him. "I like that… not one to fuss over the little things. Or, are you just thick-skinned?" she asked, ordering a different drink than her sister.

"A little of both, I guess? Nothing to get worked up about in the first place, and it's not terribly offensive…" He took another swig from his glass, before pointing the question back at her. "What about you? What can I call you?"

"I see… and you can-" the brunette started answering, watching her sister make her move.

"Sis! Why are you stealing my company?" the blonde asked, her tone slightly hurt.

"I'm hardly doing anything… I just asked him-"

"You just got here and you're already taking over! I see you take after Dad…"

"Now, that's low…", there was a slight edge in the brunette's tone. "I'm hardly like him and you know it…"

"…but you're not denying that what you're executing is a hostile takeover…"

The two sisters continued to argue and bicker. Not enough to cause a scene, but enough to make Ron lean back in his seat as he stared at them.

After a few moments of waiting he opened his mouth; "I hate to interrupt you…", his words made them both pause and look at him, "but I think it's best I leave for the night…" The blonde sidekick could see them about to protest, before he continued. "Not that I'm not enjoying the company of two beautiful ladies, but I do think that family- or in this case sisters- shouldn't fight with one another…"

The two girls stared at him for a few moments, before the brunette started laughing quietly.

"I'm serious here… I was always told that family is one of the most important things there is! It's how I've lived my life, up till now…" He reflected on how little his parents were around while he was growing up.

"See sis… this one is a good guy" the blonde woman responded, glancing at her sister.

"Sure looks like it", the brunette stared at him. "Don't worry Cherry, we're good… So… you mentioned something about two beauties…?" she prodded with a cheeky smile.

"I actually said that you two are beautiful ladies… and I doubt that there's a sane person who would disagree with me…" he finished, taking another sip from his glass.

"Oh… someone's confident. Feeling lucky, Cherry~?" the blonde bombshell cooed. She moved closer to the boy, leaning against his side with a wide smile on her face.

"Feeling lucky? ME?" Ron couldn't help but chuckle and smile. "Hardly… I just feel compelled to tell the truth at the moment…"

"Really now?" the brunette asked. "I wonder how long that'll last…" she commented, they kept drinking.

Ron's eyes opened up slowly, he blinked a few times.

The sun was much brighter than what he was used to, or it seemed to be, as it peeked through the creamy velvet curtains.

He was still tired after last night, especially with how warm he was at the moment. So pleasant and gentle, surrounding his entire body and making it almost impossible to keep his eyes open for more than a few seconds.

The blonde sidekick felt oddly refreshed after yesterday. He'd half-expected to be suffering a killer hangover, one that would make him swear off drinking ever again. But, Ron was pleasantly surprised to find that his experience had only left him feeling great! …even if he WAS still a bit out of it.

'Well, at least my birthday wasn't a complete waste…' he mused. He may not have been able to go out and experience the night with his best friend, but at least he'd met two beauties that had given him the time of day. 'Whatever happened to them?' the monkey master wondered, he felt something shift next to him.

As if prompted by his thoughts, there was suddenly a shift on the bed. Two pairs of long, smooth legs stuck out from the covers. Two sets of arms shot out to hug his chest and neck.

"Mmm… Stop moving, Cherry… go back to sleep…" groaned a tired, blonde woman (who was very much naked at the moment!). Her bare chest was mashed against his side, leaving nothing to the imagination.

"Wha-" His mind spun, even as words floated from his other side.

"You were amazing… I can't believe I almost let you go…" the brunette sister of the blonde girl reflected.

His mind nearly exploded when he heard a knock on the door at the side of the room.

"Lonnie? Connie? Are you two awake?" asked a female voice that sounded very familiar to the blonde sidekick.
