Chapter 1-
It was a rainy day in fuscha village, a man in a green cloak was running through the rain, it looks as if he had a toddler in his hands. The boy could only be described as big, by his facial structure he looked around 2 years old but he was already 39 inches tall! The man walked into a bar where a stunning young lady was cleaning, she looked up, "Sorry, the bar is closed right now". Then suddenly after taking a better look, " I-Itoko-San..?" She would stutter after recognizing this man as Monkey D. Dragon, "I.. I don't understand. Why are you here? Shouldn't you be with the revolutionaries?" The man would then take off his wet, green hood off of his head and look down at the boy. "Sorry Makino, I won't be long." He said to the woman now Identified as Makino. "My wife, Ali, died giving birth and left me with my son, Luffy. We tried taking care of him, but the timing was horrible now that this new era of pirates just started." He said while stroking the toddler known as luffy's hair. "What are you saying Dragon, you abandoned us long ago, you have the audacity to ask a favor of me?", "sorry Makino. I can't do much to protect him with my current status. I have things I need to do. Please take care Luffy for now, garp will take him later, whenever that is." Makino looks furious now, "You bastard, getting your father and little cousin to take care of your son?" You're lucky I need help around here. If you don't come over every so often I will call garp and tell him to take your kid and make him hate you. Get out of my sight!" Makino cried out. Dragon smirked as he laid his son down on a leather seat and walked away, disappearing in the thunder. Who does that garp think he is?? I feel bad for you Luffy, your father is a shithead.
3 years later
3 years later and Luffy as we know him is 4"5, growing quickly both physically and academically, Makino made sure for him to read books and study every weekend and help out in the bar on weekdays, garp and dragon would both visit Luffy every few months and teach him valuable life lessons and how to defend his self. Garp taught him the basics of the rokushiki technique whilst dragon taught him neutral ways of fighting like judo and jiu jutsu whilst also meditating with him at a pond. "Luffy will you please clean the table for the visitors?" "Yes Makino-san" Luffy rushed out the back of the bar and cleaned up the table with absolute speed, "man that kid's good at his job! Maybe he'd be a good marine! Who knows, maybe an admiral!" Said the guest "Thank you for the compliment! But I want to be free and not obligated to anything!" Said Luffy with a grin on his face. "You've got the smarts too! You've got a great future ahead of yourself kid!" The guest laughed, Luffy had left the bar and went to the back and fed some stray animals, he then walked to the docs of the town where he could hear the sea king, gurgling. "One day I'll be free to explore this ocean, you won't bind me for much longer!"

A big ship with their mascot being a skull with red hair and a scratch on it's eye has made it's way towards foosha village, it belonged to the red hair pirates led by red haired shanks, a muscular tall man wearing a white button up, gray shorts, a black cloak, and a straw hat on his head! Luffy had rushed outside to get a look as he heard screaming, Luffy had already grown to 4'7 and had long hair going down to his shoulders, he had become slightly muscular for his age having to do errands all over the village. "Wow! Makino-San look at that ship! It's so cool!!!" Luffy exclaimed with the most excitement, then he looked harder and noticed the captain of the ship, shanks, instantly he ran up to the ship and stared in admiration at shanks, who had simply jumped down onto a fencing post right in front of the boy, shanks saw the look on his face and chuckled, "hey there, names shanks, yours?" Luffy was dazed, "Monkey D. Luffy!", Shanks startled and winced when Luffy said "d" "Nice to meet ya, I'll be staying here for a while, mind showing me around?" Luffy had shouted with the most excitement in his voice, "Yes!" Everyone was suprised to see a pirate in town as it's the first time since 2 men had left that pirates had ever been here, it's usually the revolutionaries and the marines, on rare occasions, bandits and bounty hunters. it's usually on the other side of the island things get noisy. After Luffy had shown shanks around town shanks called his crew and headed towards Makino's bar carrying his new little friend, Luffy, on his shoulders. "So, why'd you come to this village of all places?", Luffy asked the redhead. "An old friend of mine lived here, now that I'm old enough to handle booze I might as well try it, he said it's pretty damn good.", "I see, Makino's bar has always been notable for a reason.", "Hey Luffy, what do you want to do when you grow up?", "I've never told anyone but I want to become the pirate king, the king of the sea's sounds like a fun thing to be.", "oh yeah? What if I told you my old friend was Gol D. Roger?", "Oh I already knew that. The back of your wanted poster says it all." The two laughed as they made it to the bar, Makino who had a worried aura asked "Luffy! Where have you been? It's dangerous at night!", "sorry Makino-San.. I was showing shanks around town.", Makino only sighed knowing that the boy had always liked pirates, "oh well, make sure you clean up for our guests, we don't want them waiting for too long.", "yes ma'am!", Luffy had rushed to the back of the bar and grabbed a rag and started cleaning the bar area, but then he stumbled upon a chest, it was like it was calling him, he opened it and there was a mysterious looking fruit, the fruit was clear with purple, black, and blue colors defining the sharp swirls, Luffy with a lack of knowledge on Devil fruits had been half into a bite when shanks had barged in suspecting Luffy to have found the fruit, hearing the sound of footsteps scared him so he quickly shut his mouth accidentally eating a chunk of the pineapple shaped devil fruit, little did he know he had just ate the mythical devil fruit which possessed the traits of the 2 strongest types of devil fruits, logia, and mythical zoan, the freedom fruit, model: justice, spirit : nika. Shanks had instantly tried to grab Luffy only for his hand to be forced back, he could hear an ominous voice through his conquerers haki ability saying "don't grab me", from what he knew about the fruit it was probably the sun god nika who had voiced that to him, from what he knew about nika, he was all about freedom and hated not being 100% free at all times, he then looked at Luffy and said, "Luffy! That fruit can cause you danger! It takes away your ability to bare water!" Luffy looked up and said "But shanks I feel more free now! It's like nothing binds me any more!" Shanks sighed knowing Luffy had adopted the traits of the fruit already, "Luffy it's not bad you ate the fruit, but now you have to live with it which is dangerous for a curious kid, luckily for you it takes away your ability to be hurt by ordinary people, but you're going to have to learn how to use that power now!", Luffy asked shanks how he's supposed to learn how to use it if he doesn't even know what it does whilst shanks who had never owned a devil fruit just shrugged. "You're a huge target for the government if they ever discover the name of your fruit, if anyone asks you, say it's a logia so you don't have marines trying to kill you everywhere!", Luffy still processing this information simply nodded his head as he didn't want to let shanks down, (skip 3 days later) Shanks and his crew are at the bar drinking booze as per usual when bandits come inside and demand 50 glasses of wine, shanks having the last one says "there's only one, you can have it." The bandit boss flips out and grabs the wine bottle smashing it on shanks' head Aggravating the scar on his eye causing a little bit of it to bleed, shanks gets down and starts picking up the pieces apologizing saying nothing else, Luffy seeing the bandit about to step on shanks while he's down rushes in with super human speed throwing a barrage of punches and kicks so fast that nobody could even see Luffy moving except for the members of shanks' crew who had observation haki, after Luffy finally stopped the boss flew back into the leather seat seeing Luffy appear with a cloud of dust circling under him, this only infuriated the boss and caused him to pounce at Luffy, Luffy attempted a judo throw on the airborne bandit which only redirected him to the floor where he slid to shanks' feet. The red haired pirates started cheering for shanks to finish him only for shanks to let them down and only stomp on the side of his head, "thanks Luffy, I probably would've gotten hurt if it wasn't for you. but now it's time for me to take care of this" Shanks flared his conquerors haki knocking out the bandit and his group, shanks who was planning on leaving the island that day took them to the ship and loaded them into a cell where they would later be turned in for money, the crew loaded up their barrels and goods in the shop with at least 50 barrels of booze and said their goodbyes, shanks having predicted the future of that day thought he was going to lose an arm but luckily didn't, Luffy who saw shanks was about to leave decided to go prove his toughness to shanks and maybe join his crew, "Hey shanks!" Luffy shouted. Shanks turned around and saw Luffy with a knife, he then stabbed under his eye, "I'm tougher than it looks, please take me along with you!", shanks sighed "Sorry Luffy, I can't put you through that risk.", "I knew you'd say that. Which is why I'm going to look just like you!" Luffy then cut the same scar on his eye then cut his hair like shanks' "Luffy you reckless little shit!" Shanks shouted but then burst into laughter when luffy's skin burned itself back together "you lucky brat, guess you need to complete the look huh?" Luffy gasped knowing what that meant, whilst the boat was deporting, shanks threw his precious straw hat to Luffy, Luffy who knew the straw hat wouldn't reach awakened his first ability, stretching body parts, he stretched his arm just enough to grab the straw hat, he then put it on his head as a way of comfort, shanks smiled and turned away walking inside his ship.
1 1/2 years later
Luffy continued his work at the bar and earned 30% of the bar's earning for his time serving, all the while utilizing his new devil fruit under the alias of gomu, he's learned how to control the flames that come with his devil fruit and now he can hide them by making them the size of a molecule, now Makino doesn't have to buy charcoal and is more than delighted about luffy's ambition to become a pirate, Makino is planning on opening a daycare and adopting toddlers. Dragon had visited last week and is the reason Luffy became proficient with his devil fruit, though Luffy has yet to master all of the properties he can control the insane physical boost that he gets from his devil fruit and incorporates it with his rubber ability creating moves that move insanely quick, the gomu bazooka, the gomu Gatling, the gomu bullet, the gomu whip, and the gomu pistol, he learned that using 3 of the properties at once creates powerful moves like the sun ray which uses the gomu Gatling and the fire properties, but Luffy is more than sure there is more properties of this fruit. Recently he's learned the name of his physical boost ability, Impulse. Today, garp will come over and take Luffy for training, supposedly, usually garp just lectures Luffy in the marine boat about doing what's right, Luffy has learned to listen to everything except what he says about pirates, hoping to learn about haki and correct judgement, he's always hated sengoku and his sugarcoated version of the world's history. Today, garp took him to Mt. Colubo where he met the bandit family, dadan, "Garp! You damned fool why do you keep on bringing kids over here! This isn't an orphanage!" Shouted the leader of the family, Curly Dadan. "Shut the fuck up and be glad I'm not arresting you, ugly bitch!", "We'll fucking kill you! Last year you dropped off rogers little brat, now this- who the fuck is that?", "oh this kid here? Introduce yourself" garp shakes Luffy urging him to introduce himself. "Yo, I'm monkey D. Luffy" Luffy says raising a hand, then he spots a little kid in the back, seeing as he wasn't a ginger he guessed it was the kid described as "Roger's brat" before he could think any further the kid glared at him and ran away, he was pretty fast but Luffy wanted to see where he was going so Luffy urged himself not to use shockwave, luckily enough this paid off and he wound up on Grey Terminal where he saw the kid and a blonde kid counting up money, so Luffy decided to give them a scare and grabbed a tree branch and used shockwave to suddenly appear next to them, like expected this did startle them but they quickly picked up pipes and tried to wack Luffy only to be stopped by his arms. "Tch why'd you follow me?", "I was told you're related to the old pirate king?", "what does it matter, and don't just say that. My name is Ace", "Ace who is this guy and what's he doing here?" Asked the blonde, "oh, my names Luffy and I followed Ace here, by the looks of things you're theives?" , "you're right, the names sabo, nice to meet you. Now that you know about us we can't have you ratting out our hideout so you'll have to join us!" Sabo said with a wide mischievous grin, "I'm not used to stealing but why not seeing as you both have scratches the people of this island are huge jerks." "Damn right about that" said Ace pointing at a large skull, "those guys are the ones who did it! We're going to steal from them and get them out of town!", "wait Ace we'll have to test this err- Luffy!", "you're right huh.. okay then! Go get us 10,000 berries from a noble!" Luffy sighed but nodded his head, Luffy walked down to a large house Ace and sabo identified as noble houses, Luffy broke through a window and ran into the bedroom where he knew a safe would be kept, like predicted, there was one under the nightstand, Luffy also knew a note would be kept in the nightstand with the safe code, Once again, correct. Luffy opened the drawer read the code and with the other arm recited it onto the safe and put all the berries in a bag, going through the window once more and ran towards grey terminal. Where they counted 1 million berries, "the nobles must be mentally Ill keeping all their money in one safe, let's wash it to make sure it isn't marked." Sabo said, "You know your stuff! Though seeing as the noble had very little expensive things in his home, the money is probably fake except for about 10,000. That must be just enough for the bills.", "how do you know so much Luffy?", Ace asked. I live in foosha village, all of the "rich people turned out to own fake money and were quick to move to the jungle side when they were exposed.", "I see, you'll be great help then! Hold on just one second." Ace walked up to their stash and came back with a bottle of sake and 3 small cups, whilst pouring the sake, "from today on we're brothers, we'll never leave each other's sides no matter what!" He finished pouting the sake, they all toasted and drank the sake though Luffy expressed immediate distaste for it, coughing it out. They all laughed, about 4 weeks later they have robbed many nobles and got them moved out, then they finally developed a plan to rob the base inside of the skull, "Okay, Luffy. You know what to do right?", "yeah, if anything goes wrong I will make the signal.", Luffy rushed in unleshing a gum gum Gatling from his legs taking down many bandits, he then used shockwave to quickly blitz the bandits in the way, until Luffy was stepped on by a giant, about 20 feet tall, 1550 lbs, the smaller general then picked up the boy who had blood all over his face, "You little shit, you're probably with those little brats Ace and sabo aren't you? Well use you as bait." The general said with a smirk on his face. Luffy was chained up and beaten for about 10 minutes straight, he then mustered up the strength to perform a signal, GAN- he screamed before being hit again, Ace and Sabo heard the signal and immediately snuck in there, knocking out the giant. Luffy saw this as an opportunity to use his devil fruit property and burn the chains and regenerate, this would catch the eye of the general who would throw a pipe at the regenerating Luffy, only to be blocked by Ace. "Luffy! Hurry up and do whatever you're doing! We need to stop this guy and we can't do it alone!", the general used the soru technique and kicked Ace in the gut, but this time he was in range of luffy, who was still using his flames. "TAKE THIS BASTARD!" Luffy shouted as he shot a big ball of flames at the general, this left a mark but did not take the general down, Luffy passed out. Sabo seeing his friends knocked down had finally snapped, he tapped into his royal potential and copied the soru technique and knocked the general upside the head, the general fell but didn't pass out, Sabo was screaming for Ace and Luffy to wake up but to no avail, after running out of stamina, Sabo was hit with a brutal kick to the face, Ace with blurry vision could do nothing but think. Damnit! I'm too weak! Sabo might die!, Luffy, barely conscious used his flames to regenerate Ace, somehow his body had a natual affinity for it, Ace woke up and grabbed the pipe he blocked, he was able to coat it in luffy's flames and rush at the unsuspecting general, hitting him with a BRUTAL swing to the neck tearing his skin leaving his neck decimated, luckily he didn't murder the general and could turn him in for money, he was thinking about that until he fainted, the dadans had gotten slightly worried and suspected where Luffy and Ace might be, only to find another, this time, blonde, kid lying near them, the dadans decided to take him in and get the trio medical care to the best of their abilities, for at least 2 weeks they had to wear bandages on their face while roaming the forest. The trio swore that from that day fourth they would become a pirate crew together.
10 Years later
After nonstop training for 10 years, Luffy had learned to heat up his already rubber body using flames going into a pink state, covered in flames, this would be known as gear second, in this state he further improves his abilities to be more cooperative to each other, after garp visiting more often, Luffy Ace and Sabo learned what haki was and how to unlock it, they've already started learning observation haki to the point where they can dodge a baseball thrown by garp using it. Ace went off for a year trying to figure out who he was and more on his father, he then found the flame fruit(Mera Mera no mi) on sixis island, Sabo decided to train with dragon for a year until Luffy turned 17 and was ready to become a pirate, Luffy decided that he wanted to learn how to cook and how to utilize his speed, for the 1 year he was gone he went back to foosha village where Makino would teach him how to cook and Luffy would go to the other side of the island to harness his abilities against the bandits. Even though he was training the hardest, he still lacked what they had, actually experience. Luffy had been doing the same thing lots of times, whilst Sabo was fighting some of the worlds strongest, Ace was fighting people all across the east blue. But finally via snail they decided to meet up at shells town where they would search for crew mates and establish their crew. While Luffy was riding his boat he got completely lost and his boat sunk in a storm, he got into a barrel and hoped he got aboard a good ship, luckily he landed on the ship of alvida, whilst stretching he knocked out two fodder level Crewmate, he awakened to a boy named Colby urging the two to open the barrel, Colby explained that he had been captured by the pirate and wanted to be free from alvida, Luffy adapting the traits of the freedom fruit swore he would take her down, "Hey you ugly old hag!" Luffy screamed, "Who do you think you're calling ugly?" Alvida yelled back, "You of course! You raccoon faced bitch!" Luffy teased, enraged alvida jumped down and threatened Luffy with her club, "you want to feel this you little brat?", "swing that at me and I'll punch you so hard you'll shit some of your weight out!" Luffy warned, alvida not having it swung her club at max speed, Luffy dodged with ease and like he promised punched her square in the nose and knocked her out, Luffy then knocked out every crew member who dared stop him, Colby admired Luffy and instantly changed his mind on his goals, he decided on following Luffy through every move he may make. Luffy then took control of the ship and headed directly towards shells town, when he arrived he walked into the bar where he met Ace and Sabo, they all sat down and instantly ordered cups of sake, and of course, juice for Luffy. Luffy instantly slammed his hand on the table and said he will be the captain of their crew, Sabo had no problem with it, he was used to being a commander, Ace however was about to argue but then Luffy said,"I've already gotten a Crewmate and stole a ship, I've even got a name already.", Ace instantly sat down and asked what he thought of, "The straw hat pirates, all of us wear a hat but it makes most sense of it's named after the commander, and I don't think 'top hat pirates' does us any Justice.", Ace who was predicted by the last part sat down and nodded his head, spotting a little girl with onigiri in her hands, "Hey little girl, come here.", "I didn't know onigiri was on this menu, or is it for vips?", "actually this is for a prisoner, he got arrested unfairly for protecting me.", Luffy winced at the word prisoner and tucked his head more into his straw hat, "where is he?", "he's being held at the marine base, he's being executed in 4 days but I doubt helmeppo will wait that long.", Luffy ran towards the marine base and jumped over the entrance gate dashing through any marines in the way, he saw a man with green hair and a du-rag, he stood there staring at him, about a minute later, Ace, Sabo, and the girl caught up, the girl walked up to him and tried to feed him the rice balls, helmeppo shot near her though making her drop the rice. "What's your name?" Luffy asked staring at the man, "Zoro, Roronoa Zoro.", "will you be my right hand man in my crew?", "I'm not a pirate, besides you can't even help me, why the hell would I help you, I'd rather die honorably.", "you consider it honorable to die like this? And what do you mean I can't help you?, what do you need?","first off I need to get off this Chan then I need my 3 swords, you can't get those because you can't defeat Morgan, it's honorable to die doing the right thing anyway." "Isn't it right to take down someone who abuses their power? I'll take down Morgan with ease. Where do you think the swords are?", "Get my swords and I'll swear my loyalty to you.", "alright then.", Luffy turns around to see a man with an axe as a hand and a scrawny brat behind him, "are you Morgan?" Luffy asked, "so what about it? What the hell do you think you're doing on my territory, fiend?", "Sabo, go in there and get the swords, Ace take care of helmeppo for me.", The 2 brothers both nod and dash off to do their respective jobs, "bold are you?", "...", Luffy blitzes on top of Morgan GOMU GOMU NO.. BURNING TALON!, Luffy would use the 2 properties and kick Morgan whilst igniting his leg on fire leaving Morgan on the floor, dead. Zoro would gasp as he just saw some random guy he just met humiliate a marine captain, Luffy looks back at Zoro with a smile "now it's just your swords, right?" He would laugh, Sabo instantly ran back with 3 swords, one with a white sheath and hilt, one black sheath with red dots in a line, then one with a red sheath and red ribbon tied around it. Zoro gasped seeing as he underestimated Luffy, after seeing how strong this man was and his duty to fulfill promises he decided he should do the same and keep the promise he had made with Luffy, "I am Roronoa Zoro, my dream is to become the world's greatest swordsman, nice to meet you, captain!", Luffy smirked and ripped the chains binding Zoro to the cross like post, "you've got a little girl waiting for you with some onigiri she made, don't put it to waste!", Zoro looked around to find a brown haired girl by the gate being protected by a pink haired boy, Zoro walked over to the little girl and moving the pink haired boy out of the way, he crouched down to the little girl, "thank you for always visiting and giving me food, if it weren't for you I would've starved to death.", "I-it's not a big deal, you protected me after all" she would say pushing out her plate of onigiri, meanwhile Ace is torturing helmeppo by dropping him from the sky and catching him, he then saw Luffy staring at him and decided it was time to stop, he grabbed the blonde by the back of his shirt and slowly flew down towards Luffy, Sabo, Zoro, and Colby. After Zoro moved Colby, the 2 brothers finally noticed him, "are you the Crewmate Luffy recruited?", "uhm yes, my name's Colby, I don't know if I deserve this spot but Luffy amazes me and I want to follow him forever.", "haha Luffy is that type huh?, I'll allow you to be my subordinate and I'll train you up to finally deserve the spot.", Sabo would say. "Thank you so much- erm..", "Sabo, the other black haired one's named Ace, and of course there's Zoro, Welcome aboard, Colby!", Colby would widely grin, Zoro received onigiri from the little girl, who then ran off back to her bar, the crew prepared to leave towards Orange town where they would scout out their next Crew member.
