Annabeth's heart dropped as the screen flashed colours, the creepy ghost like figures plunging from the darkness and grabbing at her.

Her whole body jumped and a little scream tore out of her, before she quickly paused the game and took her glasses off.

'Nope, nope, absolutely not! What the fuck was that thing! Hell no!'

She glanced at her chat that was spamming cry laugh emojis and shook her head.

'You lot enjoy seeing me get tortured i swear! I hate this game but i need to finish it! I don't want Magnus to beat me!'

With a deep breath and little laugh, she resumed the game and continued to play for hours. She gave a grin to camera and closed off her stream, completely exhausted.

She glanced at her phone. It was already 2.30am, she had to be up at 6.30am for school!

She groaned and chucked herself onto her bed, scanning her phone for texts from Luke.

She paused when she found it, clicking on it.

'Get off stream and go to bed. You're going to be dead in the morning isgt.'

She grinned slightly and quickly replied before falling asleep.

She woke up to a honk outside and rubbed her eyes, really distorted. Her eyes lowered to her phone. Shit! It was 7am. She rushed out of bed and quickly threw on a tshirt and cargo trousers, before running to brush her teeth.

Luke beeped the horn again as she quickly put on her shoes and ran sown the steps to greet him, lazily braiding her hair on the way. She slide in the passenger seat with an apologetic grin on her face.

'I am so sorry! My alarm didn't go off!'

He rolled his eyes at her and began to drive.

'I told you not to stay up, you're going to make me fucking late because all you do is play games.'

Annabeth frowned slightly and looked out the window.

'Im sorry.' She whispered, and he rolled his eyes and lit his cigarette, breathing it out the window.

'Whatever.'

They rode the rest of the way in silence.

They had started dating around the end of July, and at first Annabeth really enjoyed spending time with him. They would always have so much fun doing the dumbest of stuff, and they really got along. It wasn't until they started school again that he starting acting different. He never had a problem with her streaming before, and actually used to say it was really cool and impressive. Whenever she mentions it now, he always rolls his eyes and moves the conversation on.

Annabeth mentioned this to their mutual friend, Thalia, who shrugged slightly and said maybe he was just in a bad mood, but if that was the case, he had been in a permanent bad mood for over a week now. Whenever Annabeth had tried to ask him about it he would always raise his voice at her, and have called her stupid twice now, saying that he was fine and she was the one acting like a bitch.

She decided just to leave him to it. He would talk to her when he was ready, and she was scared she was actually doing something wrong so didn't want to mess up by speaking to him more.

So far, this year was going pretty bad. The only plus side, was her new friend, Percy, who she sat next to in science. She likes talking to him, and he was one of the only boys who made her feel like he didn't want anything from her. She finds it difficult to make friends. It feels like they always either want money or exposure from being her friend, or the boys just want to fuck her. It's disgusting, but hanging out with Percy is refreshing.

Luke pulled into the parking lot and Annabeth climbed out the passenger seat, glancing at her phone to see that they were on time.

She walked round to his side and gave him a kiss on the cheek.

'Im sorry. I didn't mean to be late and I'm sorry if i upset you.'

Luke softened slightly and grabbed her hand, squeezing it.

'Im sorry, i was in a shit mood. I took it out on you.'

Annabeth smiled at him and squeezed his hand back.

'Its okay! If you ever want to talk I'm here for you.'

Luke glanced over her shoulder and nodded slightly, eyes locking on someone who had just got out of their own car. Annabeth spun round to see their friend, Thalia, walking over. The bell rang, and Annabeth gave Luke one lass kiss before promising to see him at Lunch before walking into the building, not noticing the looks him and Thalia were shooting one another.

'God Percy! How is that even possible!'

Annabeth glanced down in shock at his test paper, where the result was largely plastered on top.

A D.

Percy shrugged shyly and turned his paper round.

'I told you i was bad at science.'

Annabeth frowned and glanced down at her own paper, where the letter A proudly marked the top.

'But i don't understand. We did most of it together.'

Percy lowered his eyes and played with his pencil nervously. She noticed he did that a lot.

She paused for a moment, taking in the situation before placing a hand on his shoulder.

'Do you want me to tutor you?'

His eyes shot up to hers, surprise marking his features.

'What?'

'Im serious! I could help you! It'll be fun, although it'll have to be after school and i cant do Tuesdays or Thursdays because of streaming but - ' Annabeth rambled.

'Really?' Percy interrupted, eyes soft as he looked at her. He had really gorgeous eyes, she noticed.

'Yes, really.'

He paused for a moment, thinking. Then, his face light up and he grinned at her.

'Okay then. Lets do it! Um, here -' he hastily scribbled his number down on a piece of paper, just as the bell rang. 'My number, just text me when you want to meet and we can sort it!'

And with that, he quickly gathered his stuff and beelined out the classroom, face red.

Annabeth stared down at the paper in her hands, grinning when she noticed the little smiley face he drew next to his name.

He was really cute, she thought, and her heart pounded.

Why is it, that she felt happier talking to Percy in Science than she did with Luke?

At Lunch, she sat with Luke and his friends. Her and Thalia chose to sit at the end of the bench, not wanting to listen to the boys complaining about football tryouts or practice.

Her eyes searched the room in boredom as she picked at her sandwich, eyes stopping when they reached Percys table.

He was laughing with his friends, two pretty girls (Piper? She thinks they have English together) and a tall blonde boy she recognised as Jason. He was on the football team with Luke.

But who she was really looking at was Percy himself. Sure, she always thought he was cute, but hes starting to be seriously attractive. She watched as his pushed back his long hair out of his eyes and looked at his friends. She couldnt help grin.

She took out the piece of paper he had written her and opened her phone, sending him a text.

'Hey It's Annabeth, forgot to give you my number earlier so here you go :)'

She watched as he reached down for his phone, and butterflies fluttered in her stomach as she saw him smile down at his phone. She watched as he scanned the canteen and his eyes to met hers. He gave her a big grin and thumbs up, causing his friends to look at him weirdly.

Annabeth turned back round to the table and laughed quietly.

Thalia glared between her and Percy.

'Umm? Whats going on?'

Annabeth glared at her, confused look on her face.

'What do you mean?'

Thalia rolled her eyes, not buying it.

'I mean, whats going on with you and Percy?'

Annabeth shrugged slightly and glanced up at Luke, who was still distracted by his friends. He hadn't even said hi to her since she sat down.

'Nothing like that Thalia, i swear, i sit next to him in science and i said i'll tutor him. It's not a big deal.' She replied, voice low.

Thalia raised her eyebrows at her friend, shrugging and leaning back into her chair.

'Okay, if you say so.'

Annabeth glanced down at her phone, happiness filling her when she saw a text.

'Actually might leak your number to your fans now. Bet i'll get some good money for it ;)'

She rolled her eyes but couldn't help the grin that entered her face. Why is it that Percy can make her smile so easily? She dreaded the answer.
