Thanks for reading this, it means a lot to me. In just a month we have already hit almost 1500 reads. Don't be afraid of leaving a review or DMing me, tell me how I'm doing as a writer, and tell me what you think I should improve. Bear with me as I struggle my way through planning this story. This story will cover Kane chronicles, harry potter at a later date, once I can get the books and familiarize myself with the "verse", and assassins creed, through all the games.

Thanks for reading and enjoy.

Our train rolled into Denver on June 14th, leaving us seven days to find the bolt and return it. As soon as we got off, we went to a car wash to IM Chiron to update him on our progress.

I made the needed quarters appear in my hand to use the water. Ethan held the spout and turned it into a fine mist. I subtly kept the water flow steady and consistent. Clarisse took a Drachma out of her pocket and spoke, "O, Iris of the rainbow, please take my offering and show me Chiron at camp half-blood."

The drachma dissipated into nothingness, but soon the mist was changed out with an ovular rainbow. The center of which showed an image of camp half-blood. Chiron was running down the hill to break up a fight. Luke sat on the hill, watching everything going on.

We watched for a moment before Clarisse yelled, "Hey, Golden boy! Pass along a message to Chiron for us."

Luke jumped a little, obviously taken off guard.

"Shado? Clarisse? Ethan? Thank the gods you're alright; we were beginning to worry that you all perished. What's the message?"

"Tell Chiron that we are almost to the underworld. We have seven days left to get it, we will be okay."

A car pulled up near the end of her sentence, blasting music.

"What?!" Luke seemed to have yelled.

"We will be okay!" Clarisse shouted back.

Luke shook his head, motioning that he couldn't hear us.

I walked out of the booth and walked up to the guy sitting in his car, which happened to be a Black 1972 Dodge Challenger with a thick blue racing stripe going down the middle of the vehicle.

I tapped on the window.

The guy inside rolled the window, and my factory senses were assaulted by a wall of scents. Alcohol, drugs, cigarettes, sex, and multiple things shouldn't have been inside a car.

"What do you want kid?" The heavily tattooed man asked.

I put on my "sugar-coated voice," "Hi sir. I was wondering if you could lower your music. It's distracting to people, and my mom was wondering if you could lower it because we just put the baby down to sleep."

Instead of listening, the man rolled the window up and turned the music even louder.

I sighed to myself, "Why do mortals have to be so stubborn?" I snapped, and the car was unlocked. I opened the door to the car and placed my hand on the back of the now slightly afraid man's head. Instantly my mind was filled with memories of the man.

He was caught up in gang violence, gang bangs, homicides, drug rings, human trafficking, and multiple other types of crimes. The one that stood out to me the most was the arson of numerous orphanages, with the children inside of them, for that matter.

I pulled the man outside the car and pushed him to the ground. I made a gun appear in my hand.

The man now on the ground lying on his back looked heavily afraid.

I began speaking again, only this time I had a perfectly emotionless demonic tone, "A gun, such a good weapon, don't you think Carlos Rodriguez? After all, you did murder multiple people with them, didn't you? I've seen your memories, all of your crimes. Even your deepest darkest secrets."

With each word, the man's face turned to horror and fear.

"I mean, can you believe someone would have the gall to murder their own parents before forcing themselves on their twelve-year-old sister?"

Instantly the man's face turned to guilt.

"Oh, don't feel guilty now, I mean, you've already done the actions."

The man started to form tears.

"Since you've done these things. I doom you to an eternity of feeling every single piece of pain that you have caused. Only it will be twice as painful, and multiplied by ten."

With that, I shot his knee caps multiple times before I snapped, and he was placed in a cell next to Hercules in the void.

I walked back to the car and snapped. The smells were gone. The inside of the vehicle was now a four-seater. The seats were made from black leather. It was a hardtop car; the interior was like a standard 1972 dodge challenger. Well, except for the red button on the center console. The engine bay held a supercharged, twin-turbocharged, high rpm 8.1L V-12 engine. The car was straight piped; had three cans of fifteen-pound NOS. The vehicle was now personalized to your dreams. The vehicle's rear was an NRG Innovations - Universal 69" GT Style Carbon Fiber Rear Spoiler - CARB-A690. I turned down the music and walked back to Clarisse and Ethan. They were sitting with their backs to the wall. Ethan seemed to have tears running down his cheeks. Clarisse appeared to have tightly shut her eyes, possibly reliving a memory from her past or something.

The IM was gone, and I was ready to go. "Guys, come on. I found us a ride." I spoke to them.

Clarisse and Ethan's eyes burst open with surprise. They jumped up and tackled me to the ground. Ethan was openly crying now, and Clarisse had a few tears trailing down her face. Ethan clung to me like a child to his mother. Clarisse punched me in the arm and said, "Don't worry me like that I skiá mou(my shadow)."

I had a slight blush on my face that Clarisse luckily didn't see.

I coughed, breaking the comfortable silence. "Come-on I found us a ride."

Clarisse and Ethan nodded.

As we got into the car, Clarisse whistled, "Beckendorf would be so jealous."

I chuckled, "I know right, he won't be jealous if he doesn't know."

Clarisse laughed. Ethan just giggled in the back of the car.

"Alright buckle-up, the sound of this thing is going to be awesome."

I turned the car on, and the vehicle literally and figuratively growled.

I changed my appearance to that of a sixteen-year-old. I also created a license and insurance for the car so that if we were pulled over, we would be good.

Soon we were on our way.

Time skip Diner

We stopped in at a diner about an hour later. Families were eating food of all sorts, from burgers to homestyle breakfasts.

We were about to order our food when a man dressed in biker clothing walked in. Clarisse slightly stiffened next to me, but she held a calm face. Her hand grasped mine.

The man told the waiter that he would take care of it.

"So, your old seaweed beards kids, huh?"

I shouldn't have been surprised, but I was.

I could feel like my emotions would've customarily been acting up, but they weren't.

"Perhaps, why? What's it to you?"

Clarisse looked like she was about to say something, but the man raised a hand, silencing her.

The waiter unknownst to the four, had walked away when the man walked into the diner.

"S'okay," The man held almost an evil smile. "I don't mind a little attitude, just remember who the boss is, okay? You know who I am, little cousin?

"Okay. You're Ares God of War; you're also Clarisse's father."

Ares nodded. "That I am, that I am. So, I have a proposition for you three."

"What type of proposition for us?" I asked.

By now, the waiter came back with heaping trays of food. Burgers, fries, onion rings, chocolate shakes, and other foods.

Ares took a bite of food and spoke a moment later, "A favor. Precisely a favor that I don't have enough time to do myself."

"Okay, we could possibly do that."

"Good. I need you to go to the abandoned amusement park in town and grab my shield from the 'thrill ride of love.' My girlfriend and I were on a date, and we were interrupted. I'll give you supplies for the rest of your quest if you do this for me, including a never-ending supply of gas for your car."

I nodded, "We'll do it, Ares. Before you go, can I have a few words?"

Ares nodded and got up; I followed him. Clarisse and Ethan walked to the car and waited for me.

As we approached Ares' motorcycle, I noticed a bright blue bag on its front. I could sense two powerful items inside the bag. Touching the bag subtly, I used a small amount of godly power to subtly take the bag and replace it with another bag that was identical to the first.

I kept the bag that I took in a pocket dimension. I held out my hand to shake Ares' hand. Ares accepted and shook mine with a firm grip. Within the second that our hands were connected, I could feel a second presence within his mind.

I began speaking, "I know that under normal circumstances, we shouldn't get along, but I know you're honorable to those who respect you. Quite frankly, I would like to think that I have your respect since I have the respect of your children at camp half-blood. However, I know that you don't respect someone merely because your children do, so I would like to spar with you regularly to earn your respect. Also, if you wouldn't mind spreading the word to the rest of the Olympians, that would be much appreciated, my friend. On another note, I'm typically right when it comes to my assumptions, so if I find out you were or aided the thief then you will come to regret it. However, I hope I'm wrong because your daughter seems to like me very much."

Ares looked stunned for a minute. Almost immediately, his face turned to anger but then calmed to a mild and hesitant peace. "Of course, little cousin; I hope you're wrong as well."

With that, Ares left on his motorcycle.

After standing there for a moment, I turned and walked back to the car we took here.

Amusement Park

We stood at the entrance to the amusement park. It was exactly as it sounded. Abandoned, worn down, broken in several spots. The whole place was essentially a hazard to human health.

So, as any intelligent demigod would do, we entered the place. After an hour of walking across the entire area, we finally found the ride that Ares left his shield. The ride was in the very back of the park.

We were kind of just stuck looking at it. It was an empty pool about fifty feet across. In the bottom was a two-seater boat; inside the boat was a glimmering shield sitting next to a pink scarf.

"I'll go down there and get the shield."

Clarisse just nodded; Ethan just looked confused, staring at a sign that said: "Thrill ride, Tunnel of Love, this isn't you're parent's tunnel of love."

I walked down into the pool, careful not to get into the boat. I noticed a letter was carved into the side of it. The greek letter eta, "So Hephaestus wanted to embarrass Ares and Aphrodite hmm?"

I carefully picked up the scarf and shield. At the last second, my elbow hit a small unnoticeable tripwire. Instantly multiple cupid statues rose out of the ground and shot arrows with a celestial bronze rope attached to them. They quickly interlocked to make a net with holes just small enough that I wouldn't be able to escape.

With quick thinking, I commanded the water to burst from their pipes and burst through the concrete walls.

A cupid statue appeared with a camera and spoke, "Live to Olympus in one minute..fifty-nine...fifty-eight..."

The pool quickly filled, and I climbed onto the boat as it began to go its course. I was almost through the ride when I came to the ending; the boat was supposed to jump through an opening between two other boats. Unfortunately, the space was gone, one boat was submerged, and the other was broken in half.

I strapped the shield to my arm and braced myself. I felt the boat crack under the force of hitting the submerged object. I was consequently thrown forward. I was sailing through the air, and I thought about unfurling my wings to get to the ground, but the cameras had already gone live. Instead, I decided to put his shield in front of me and do my best not to crumple my body.

I hit the ground with a tremendous amount of force. The pavement beneath me broke apart. I pushed myself upwards away from the ground and flipped mid-air with quick reflexes. I landed softly on the ground as if stepping down from a flight of stairs.

I called out to the cameras that were undoubtedly focused on me, "Show's over now, thanks for watching." With that, the cameras short-circuited.

I walked back toward Clarisse and Ethan. I made a small self-sustaining fire right there on the pavement.

Clarisse looked confused. Ethan just looked awed at the fact I had just created fire.

I threw the scarf and shield onto the fire and spoke, "To Aphrodite I give you your scarf, and to Ares I give you your shield."

A moment later, both the items disappeared in puffs of white smoke.

We eventually decided to continue our journey and ended up driving westbound on a nameless highway for a while, finally stopping at a place called the Lotus Casino.

Now I know what you're thinking, why stop at the one place that would trap you for six days? Well, a particular god of the underworld wanted me to bring his children to the underworld, so he could get them ready for the mythical world.

We entered the casino and asked for a room to stay in for the night.

We were given an utterly massive room.

We slept for a good six hours; I told Clarisse and Ethan to have fun but not accept anything that the waiters would offer.

I walked toward the front desk and rang the bell to get the attention of the person behind the desk who was focused on another task.

"Hmm? How can I help you?" The lady asked.

"Hi, yes, could you tell me what room Bianca and Domenico di Angelo are residing in? Their father has sent me to collect them."

The lady hesitated for a moment before paling considerably.

"O-of course, sir, they are residing in room six on the sixth floor."

I only gave the woman a nod before I briskly walked away.

A few moments later, I was in the elevator ascending toward room six on the sixth floor, using the sixth elevator. An odd coincidence.

As the door to the elevator opened, I called out, "Alecto come forth please."

A few moments went by with complete silence. I was about to repeat it when a voice called out to me, "I'm here, I'm here. Now then, what do you need?"

"I found the helm, and I'm about to collect your masters children. However, since I'm not allowed to enter your master's domain just yet for appearence sake, I need you to finish it for me, if you would be so kind."

Alecto merely gave a nod and changed her appearance to a more kind woman of about thirty-five. She was dressed in a black dress that hung nicely in the spots that were needed. Her hair was blonde, and her eyes were a soft and kind brown.

The two of us approached room six, and we simultaneously knocked twice. The knock reverberated through the empty hallway, sending an unsettling chill down our spines.

We met each other's eyes in a brief glance. We were broken out of our glancing staredown as soft footsteps could be heard approaching.

A moment later, the door opened to reveal a short and pale ten-year-old with raven black hair and onyx black eyes.

He studied us for a moment with a calculating gaze that under normal circumstances would have disturbed me. He finished his stare and called out, "Bianca, it's for you." With that, he left the door open and walked away.

A short moment later, another child stepped into the doorway. She was a twelve-year-old with olive skin and silky dark hair. Her cold onyx eyes studied us carefully and cautiously. Her eyes didn't leave a spot on our bodies unstudied.

"Can I help you?" Bianca spoke out, obviously tired. She had probably just woken up.

Alecto spoke up, "Your father sent us to pick you two up and take you to him."

Bianca gave a hesitant glance toward her younger brother in the kitchen.

"M-my father died when I was young, same with our mother." She stuttered.

"Can we come in? Perhaps it would be easier to explain things." I asked.

Bianca gave a slight nod. We walked into the room and sat on the couch in the living room.

Domenico or Nico, as I had a feeling, he would like to be called.

"Okay, before we get into things. What do you know about greek mythology? No, I do not mean through card games or anything of the sort." I asked, giving a slightly playful glare to the ten-year-old.

Bianca and Nico gave a slight nod. "We know of the names of the gods, but that's it."

"Okay, that saves us some time." I continued a moment later, "So, what you may believe is that greek mythology is fake. Don't believe that, it is very much real, just as much as the couches we are sitting on."

Bianca and Nico held looks that showed that they weren't surprised.

"Now, if greek mythology is real, everything in it is real, including the gods, heroes, and monsters. In ancient times those gods fell in love with mortals, humans, and had children called demigods, or more commonly called half-bloods."

Bianca looked slightly disbelieving, and Nico looked like this was one of his dreams.

Bianca spoke up, "So are you trying to tell us that our father or mother was a goddess."

Alecto nodded and continued for me, "Yes, both of you are demigods. Your mother was mortal, a human. Your father was a god, specifically Hades, the god of the underworld, riches, and king of the dead."

Bianca and Nico looked both ecstatic and relieved.

"However, this is both a good and bad thing for you young ones." Alecto spoke gravely.

"How so?" Nico asked, confused.

"Your father is one of the big three gods in greek mythology. Around the time of world war two, there was a "great" prophecy foretold. Stating that a child of the eldest gods would determine if Olympus was preserved or razed. Consequently, Zeus, Poseidon, and Hades were under oath that they wouldn't have children any further. Since then, your father has been the only one to not break that oath."

Bianca looked confused, "Wait, how can that be. You said Hades hasn't broken the oath. If we are twelve and ten then he would've had to-" Her eyes widened.

"Yes, it seems that you've figured it out." Alecto spoke, clearly amused.

"Wait what year is it?" Bianca asked, fear starting to creep into her voice.

"The year is 2005." I spoke to her. Nico looked confused and scared.

"Now, I have been asked by Shado here to take you home as he isn't allowed to enter your father's domain just yet. Since Zeus doesn't know Hades hasn't broken his oath, he will try to kill you if he sends you to camp."

Bianca just nodded and began to stand up, bringing Nico with her, "Come on, Nico, let's pack." Nico just nodded, walked into the back room, and began packing.

Turning to Alecto, I held out an object, the helm, "Ares had it, but he wasn't the thief. He most likely caught the thief, and a presence commanded him to let the thief go. I am under the suspicion that it was either an eidolon or Kronos."

The second his name was spoken, the room's temperature lowered drastically.

Alecto grabbed the helm and inspected it. She nodded to me a moment later and put in her purse that seemingly appeared from nowhere.

A few minutes later, Alecto, Bianca, and Nico were ready to head away from the casino and to their new home.

They began to walk down the hallway, walking toward the elevator.

The elevator doors opened to greet them. They walked in and turned around, facing me. As the doors closed, Alecto spoke, "See you soon, Shado."

I gave a quick nod as the doors finally closed, leaving me in an empty hallway with zero other rooms on the floor.

Deciding to test out my godly power, I flashed away in the presidential suite section to our room. I found Clarisse and Ethan cuddled up on the couch.

I tapped Clarisse and Ethan on their shoulders, effectively waking them up.

"Come on, if my calculations are correct then we only have a day left to finsih our quest. We need to hurry."

Panic started to fill Clarisse's eyes, and she began to scramble around, grabbing stuff to go.

Soon enough, we were in the parking lot of the casino. Sure enough, it was June 20th, the day before the summer's solstice.

Oddly enough, our car was gone. In its spot was a note it read: Sorry for embarrassing you, friend. I'll keep it safe and upgrade it for you. There's a truck that will take you to Los Angeles.-H.

Sure enough, there was a truck. On its side was the companies title, The Kindness International.

We ran over to the truck and climbed in, closing the doors behind us. Inside were three cages, each was filled with an animal. The first held a deer, the second had a zebra, and the third held two lion cubs. One was albino, and the other was melanistic(the opposite of albino).

Instantly I could hear voices in my head.

"Free us, please." A high-pitched voice spoke, probably the deer.

"Release us lord." A deep voice spoke, probably the zebra.

Oddly enough, the lion cubs didn't speak, "Probably to young to do so."

"Clarisse, let the deer and zebra out of their cages. Let them have some freedom. We will release them when we come to a stop in california. We're keeping the cubs."

Clarisse just gave a nod and released the other animals.

We eventually fell asleep. Ethan hugged the zebra around the neck as he lay on the metal floor, sleeping. Clarisse was resting against the metal wall, leaning her head on my shoulder. I began to drift to sleep cuddling the lion cubs.

Dreamscape

I stood in front of a hotel. It was like any other hotel in the world, well, except for the large root-like branch leading up into the sky. It was obviously invisible to mortal eyes, or else any and all "secret organizations" would have been all over this.

Since I was myself now, I still retained the ability to move and interact as a dream is a form of reality. I moved forward and knocked on the door.

A few moments later, the door opened to reveal a man with a large beard that would require its own zip code and his hair looking like a buzzard that exploded on a windshield. He is dressed in a forest-green pinstriped suit.

"My name is Helgi. How may I help... you?" Helgi spoke.

"What are the Norse doing on earth, my friend? I do not remember giving the Norse permission to be here. After all, I only gave Yggdrasil permission to rule over nine realms. There are hundreds if not millions of other realms. Earth or Midgard as you call it was not of those nine."

"I..I.. uhm, perhaps you would like to speak with Odin?" Helgi nervously spoke out.

I gave a slight nod and waited patiently.

A short while later, a man with a barrel chest and massive arms came out of the door. He was dressed in a red shirt with a little name tag on his left peck, a pair of jeans on his legs, and a leather belt keeping the loose jeans up. On his waist was a sword. On his shoulders were two ravens. His face was lined with a militaristic look; his beard and haircut appeared to be sculpted in a pentagon shape. He wore an eyepatch as well, accentuating the military look.

"Helgi said you wished to speak with me."

I nod.

"What did you wish to discuss."

"Why the Norse are here." I spoke.

"And why would a sixteen-year-old boy wish to speak with me about that?"

"Do not take that tone with me, Odin Borson, descendent of Audhumla and descendent of Ymir. I may be in the body of a mortal teenager, but I was there when I witnessed the creation of what is now known as the universe. I was there, all those years ago, when Yggdrasil came into existence. Afterall, I controlled existence."

Odin looked scared.

"I'm here because the Norse shouldn't be here. I didn't give the world tree permission to be here on Midgard. I gave Yggdrasil permission of nine realms, Asgard being one of the nine." I continued, "You shouldn't be here. I will allow you to be here only under the circumstance that your people and gods do not cause harm or endanger this world." I spoke.

Odin nodded fearfully.

"If it wouldn't be much of a trouble, may I know your name my lord." Odin spoke.

"I am known as the Ancient One, the Ancient, Perseus as the given birth name of my mortal body, or as Shado for convenience. You may choose which to call me. Now you may resume your business Odin, Allfather." I spoke while moving away.

My corporeal body began to fade as I started the process of waking up.

Dreamscape end

I woke up in time to feel the truck jolt to a stop. I lightly shook Clarisse awake. "We're here, be ready."

Soon all three of us were awake. The animals are ready to go as well. The lion cubs lay perched on my shoulders.

I would have to think of their names at a later date.

The double doors to the truck door opened we pushed the doors open further and very quickly. The two employees who weren't expecting a surprise were promptly knocked unconscious.

The deer and zebra were released into the streets of Los Angeles, California. Coincidently the truck was parked just outside of the DOA Recording studio. By now, it was almost midnight, and we had just walked into the place that would help us finish this quest.

A man dressed in a lovely suit was on the far side of the room. Transparent figures could be seen all around us. The souls of the dead. We made it up to Charon, the ferryman for the dead.

I coughed, gaining the attention of the immortal servant of the king of the underworld. "We need an audience with Hades, if you wouldn't mind Charon."

"Are you three dead?" Charon asked with indifference.

"Enough with the pleasantries of business, Charon, take us to your king now," I spoke with a commanding power behind my voice.

Charon stood straight and took us to an elevator; he turned and called out, "Any souls that died from 1500-1506 come on. The rest of you wait your turn. If anyone touches my radio I will extend your waiting time by five centuries."

We eventually started our descent into the realm of the dead. The elevator had soon turned into a wooden ferry.

After an hour, we finally rode the Styx down to the floor of the underworld. We began walking through the underworld listening to the frantic screams of the dead and the crying of anguished souls.

We passed by Cerberus, who is actually a big softie for attention.

We soon passed through the gates leading to Hades Palace.

After walking for a few moments, we found ourselves in Hades' throne room. Hades himself was ten feet tall, dressed in black silk robes, and wore a crown of braided gold. His skin was albino white, and his hair was shoulder-length and jet black. He wasn't bulky like Ares, but he radiated power like no other. He sat on his throne of fused human bones, looking lithe, graceful, and dangerous as a panther.

We walked forward. I broke the tense silence that filled the room to the brim. "Uncle, thank you for allowing us to get here, and come here to make appearances meet."

Clarisse looked questioningly at me but remained silent.

Hades gave a slight nod before tilting his head.

"So Ares had the bolt, and Helm, who was the thief?" Hades spoke.

"A few campers went to the winter's solstice meeting last winter; only one among them was a son of Hermes, with such an ability to steal. That demigod would have been Luke Castellon." I spoke to my uncle.

Hades nodded and spoke again, "Okay, thank you for taking them from Ares, thanks for returning my helm. Thank you especially for organizing the safe return of my children who might I add, were born before the oath." He directed the last bit to Clarisse.

I nodded and was about to stand, but Hades quickly said, "Can I have a quick word Shado?"

I nod, "Wait outside for me, I'll be there in a second."

Once Ethan and Clarisse had left the throne room, it was just Hades and me.

"I wanted to reward you for bringing my children here, even if you did have help."

"I don't understand uncle, why would you wish to reward me for something that most sensible people would do?" I ask.

"Because it is a trait not commonly found among demigods, or should I say reincarnated ancient beings?" Hades spoke with a small smile.

My blood started to freeze as a slight terror gripped my heart.

"How did you know?" That was all I could stutter out.

"Despite common belief, I am not dumb like my idiotic brother. I am knowledgeable; I can see the illusions holding place over your wings. I can sense your body changing every day, and I can feel the ancient power rooted deeply in your being."

I could only stare dumbly at the lord of the dead.

"What do you wish to gift me, uncle?" I ask.

"I wish to give you my godly blessing to enhance the powers given to you through my bloodline. Secondly, to offer you training by using the souls of dead heroes." Hades spoke.

My face was filled with confusion, my eyebrows furrowing. "By use of the souls of the dead? What do you mean uncle?"

Hades sighed. "Even with your enhanced intelligence, you can't figure it out? I'll tell you then. I will, in essence, "give" you the souls of heroes from ancient times by "tying" them to your being. The reason being for you to train, fight with, to learn from, and for the souls to act as both warriors and "servants.""

I nod, slowly remembering the words carefully. "Which souls would you give to me?"

"Odysseus, Theseus, Perseus, Achilles, Orion before being corrupted by Artemis and Apollo, Peleus, and Jason. Do you accept this gift my nephew?" Hades asked me.

Thinking it over for a moment, I nodded. Hades started to chant in greek for a few minutes.

(I Hades, the Greek god of the dead and riches of the earth, the domain of the underworld, king of the dead, hereby give my godly blessing to my nephew to strengthen his bloodline and to adopt him as a son. To provide him with the ability to shadow travel, rule the dead, manipulate the earth, necromancy, power over the undead, the ability to summon and release souls, the ability to telepathically speak with the dead, sensitivity to death, the ability to sense life aura, ghost transformation, Osteokinesis, death trance, shadow manipulation, thermokinesis(cyrokinisis, and pyrokinesis), hypnokinesis, and Phobikinesis. I command the souls of Odysseus, Leonidas, Theseus, Perseus, Achillies, Orion, Peleus, and Jason to be bound to my nephew Perseus "Shado" Jackson, the Ancient One, to act as servants, teachers, trainers, and if need be, assassins and warriors. So it has been said, and so shall it be.)." A thunderous crack of thunder that shook the ceiling of the underworld sealed the gifting.

Hades extended his hand, and a glowing sphere of death black energy formed in front of his palm. It kept growing for five minutes before it was stopped and was pushed toward me. It was slightly intimidating to see a sphere the size of a small hut being pressed toward you. I extended both my arms out to accept the globe. The moment I touched the orb, it seemed to melt past my hands before seeping into my body. I felt like, under normal circumstances, I should have felt unimaginable pain.

After a good ten minutes, the globe of energy was gone, and I finally noticed that eight transparent figures stood around me. Each was different in stature, but all held the signs of being related to ancient Greece.

I stood standing from an unknown kneel. I nodded toward my uncle and walked away. I noticed that the eight dead heroes turned invisible as I walked through the doorway. "It would be difficult to explain to Clarisse and Ethan as to why I would have eight heroes souls following me." I thought to myself.

Clarisse and Ethan soon came alongside me as I continued walking. Suddenly a tiny rift in the air expanded into an average-sized doorway. A note on the side of the door said, "Use this; it will be faster than taking the long way to the real world. -The Moriai(The fates)."

Shrugging, we walked in the doorway, and we appeared on a beach.

Ares stood on the far side of the beach, only about fifteen yards away(forty-five feet or fifteen meters, give or take a couple). He was dressed in his leather duster and sunglasses, an aluminum baseball bat propped against his shoulders. His motorcycle rumbled beside him; its headlight stained the sand red.

"Hey, kid," Ares spoke, "You were supposed to die. That's their kinda thing down there."

"So I was right, Ares. A pity, to be honest I was hoping I was wrong." I spoke.

Ares seemed to nod for a moment, accepting a fact he knew would have been inevitable.

"I'm sorry, Shado, or Perseus or whatever your name is kid, but I can't let you take the bolt to Olympus; it's vital that I retrieve it." Ares spoke almost robotically as if he was being controlled.

I narrowed my eyes and did something only a son of Poseidon could do. I challenged a god of war. "I Perseus "Shado" Jackson, challenge Ares the god of war, battle lust, courage, and civil order by right of combat. The winner takes the master bolt." I yelled out so that even the Olympian council could hear through their Iris message.

Ares nodded before lowering his stance. His bat changed into a sizeable two-handed longsword. Its crossguard was held together by a hilt in the shape of a silver skull with a ruby in its mouth. I ran toward the god and jumped. In mid-air, I drew my spear in my right hand and gripped my shield in my left. As I came down at Ares, he held his blade in a grip for blocking. As I came down, we met in a clash of weapons, his sword to my shield. I went to thrust my spear forward into his side, but the god of war saw this coming from a mile away. He spun to his side and went for an overhead slash to my back as I stumbled to the ground. I rolled over in time to see his blade be stopped in mid-air. An audible sound of blade grinding on blade could be heard.

I looked around me to see that the eight transparent figures of the dead heroes stood around me protectively. I grinned softly, knowing I had a "trump card."

I quickly got up and switched my shield and spear out for a hunting dagger(a twelve-inch blade instead of a dagger which is eighteen inches, but not a hunting knife which is six inches(it doesn't give a reference in any of the PJO or HoO books)), and my sword Catastrophe(katastrofikos).

Ares was surrounded on all sides. Leonidas was equipped with his shield and spear, which was reforged in the forge of Hephaestus(it was broken in the battle with the Persians). Odysseus, Theseus, Perseus, Peleus, and Jason were equipped with shields and swords. While the uncorrupted Orion was equipped with his bow and arrows.

As Ares struggled to defend himself from all sides, he was quickly defeated. Ares stood there panting, golden ichor dripping from cuts and gashes on his body.

Ares suddenly fell back on the ground unconscious. I narrowed my eyes; a god of war with a long history of fighting shouldn't have fallen from that quick sparring match of a challenge.

Soon Ares was standing upright with his wounds healed and his breathing corrected. Nothing seemed wrong with him until I noticed his eyes; they were golden. Completely filled with a golden fire.

Ares surged forward again; this time, it was only me, the souls of the dead having disappeared for a short time. I knew that in skill alone, I would be defeated. So I would have to reveal a form of power, forced to reveal a clue to my true power. Tapping into my domain of annihilation, I began to match each of Ares' attacks equally and with a slightly more significant force. Soon, we were locked in a stalemate. I head-butted the god and commanded Kronos, the titan of time and agriculture and keeper of the ages, to leave Ares' body.

We were still in our stalemate a few moments later, but Ares was in control this time. Ares stood straight, standing as if he wasn't just in a challenge. "I forfeit this challenge, Perseus "Shado" Jackson is the winner, and will take the Master bolt to Olympus." Ares spoke, "I'll see you there, kid; speak to me after the solstice meeting. Those training spars are still on by the way, meet me in the arena at camp for them." He continued.

With that, he flashed away. Leaving us stranded on the beach. I walked toward Clarisse and Ethan.

"Come on, we only have an hour to get there, we can't get there by mortal means. Grab ahold of my arms." I spoke softly.

We stepped through a shadow of a tree quickly as mortal authorities had begun to swarm the beach in search of "two mad gunman duking it out."

After a few minutes, we exited in the lobby of the empire state building. We went to the front desk to ask for directions to Olympus.

"Excuse me, I need the elevator for the six hundredth floor, please."

"No, such floor," Was the nonchalant reply.

"Okay, I need an audience with Zeus; I have his bolt that needs returning."

The security guard paled considerably before handing me a gold

security key.

"Hurry up, and make sure no one is with you three in the elevator when you do swipe the card."

I nod and accept the key.

All three of us pile into the elevator and start our ascent to the godly city of Olympus. I was growing quickly agitated as the crappy elevator music played.

I was soon brought out of my thoughts when the ding of the elevator doors signified the arrival to the six hundredth floor.

Olympus was well, Olympus. It was godly, beautiful. Architecturally impressive, the decapitated mountain top was breathtaking.

So, without taking another glance back at the elevator, we began our trek to the throne room of the gods.

I pushed open the doors to the throne room. I immediately kneeled in the doorway as all eyes turned toward us, Clarisse and Ethan following. Zeus studied me carefully before his eyes drifted to Clarisse and then Ethan. His eyes quickly widened in rage and disbelief. "Poseidon, you broke your oath twice?!"

Poseidon answered with the same tone and volume of voice, "You have no room to talk, brother! You gave broke your oath twice as well with that woman, Beryl Grace."

Hera looked angry but oddly didn't yell or speak out.

Zeus grumbled for a moment before addressing the three demigods. "Enter demigods, let us hear your case."

And So we told our story, leaving out a few details here and there. I laid the bolt at his feet and finished recalling our tale.

"Hmm, Ares wouldn't do such a thing." Zeus commented.

"He is proud and Impulsive. It runs in the family." Came from Poseidon.

"If I may, my lords." I spoke, receiving two nods in return, "Ares was being controlled by a specific grandfather of mine." Zeus and Poseidon glanced nervously at each other. I continued, "I believe that Ares had caught the thief and was going to have turned him in, but was controlled into letting him go. I believe the thief to be Luke Castellon, son of Hermes, as he was here on Olympus during the winter's solstice. Although I don't have any physical evidence to show that Luke was the thief, I can say that all my assumptions and guesses, which have been educated, have been proven correct."

Zeus hummed in reply before congratulating us on this quest and all the formalities of being king of the gods. Then he flashed away with a flash and thunderclap of, well, thunder.

With that, all the gods began to flash out one after another. Poseidon caught my eye briefly, but there was an imperceptible answer in them, Talk to me soon. Clarisse and Ethan still stood outside the throne room. I noticed that Ares still stood in the room. I walked closer to him as he shrunk down to the size of a six-foot-tall biker.

"I wanted to tell you thanks for taking Kronos out of my head. I wanted to reward you a couple things, for making me better, and for watching out for and trusting Clarisse. Afterall, you've won her heart. Perhaps you're the one that will be able to unlock her beauty." Ares spoke.

I sighed. Being gifted by two gods on the same day would be tiring. I nodded and accepted the gift.

Ares started to mutter in ancient greek. Έτσι ειπώθηκε και έτσι θα γίνει.(I, Ares, Greek god of war, battle lust, courage, and civil order, hereby give my godly blessing to Perseus "Shado" Jackson, to strengthen his bloodline and to adopt as a legacy with the abilities of a child of mine. With this comes the powers of enhanced physical strength, superhuman durability, and agility, being a great tactiocian, Telumkinesis(control over weapons) this includes weapon conjuration and curses, Invulnerability for a period of twenty minutes in battle, the minor ability of necromancy, Odikinesis(the ability to manipulate the emotions of war, such as rage and hate) this includes a powerful scream that can induce pain and discomfort, and a minor ability of pyrokinesis. I also give you the ability to let you learn anything related to combat quickly and effectively. I, Mars, roman aspect of Ares, roman god of war and the guardian of agriculture, accept Perseus into the roman legion, since before time, and shall forever be apart of the legion till the end of time. He shall bear the mark of infinity as time served to prove his service to the legion. So it was said, and so shall it be done.)."

The same thing with Hades happened again; only the sphere grew for three minutes instead of the five.

I held my arms and hands out the same way, and the globe of blood-red energy melted into my body.

Ares spoke again, "Also, I am okay if you decide to pursue a relationship with Clarisse. The most important thing is that for now, you keep the Identity of the Greek and Roman camps separate and keep knowledge of the two separate."

I nod. A moment later, an SPQR tattoo was burned into my skin; the shape of a trident was in the center, with the rest of the Olympians, excluding Hestia and Artemis were, under the trident. Just above the letters, SPQR was a shield with a purple banner hanging on it, with an eagle perched atop the banner. Underneath the Olympian symbols was an infinity sign for my time served.

With that, the god of war disappeared off to gods know where.

Clarisse, Ethan, and I returned to camp after the quest's events. Our lives seemed to go back to normal.

I would spend my time studying tactics of all sorts, training with Odysseus, Theseus, Perseus, Peleus, Jason, Leonidas, Achilles, and Orion, and a weekly spar with Ares.

I would also train Ethan and the younger campers. Clarisse and I had gotten together but had to keep it on a down low, as relationships before the age of eighteen were frowned upon in camp.

Overall, life seemed to be pretty good, but a nagging feeling in the back of my head kept me from putting my focus into things.

Timeskip

I had just gotten done with my weekly spar with Ares when I happened to notice Luke, Annabeth, and Ethan walk into the woods. Ethan had a face filled with tears and fear. Summoning the eight heroes who have become like family to Ethan and me, we ran towards the woods where I had seen the group last. We entered the clearing to see Luke standing over a downed and pale Ethan. Luke spoke, "Pit scorpions, such a fantastic beast. Able to jump fifteen feet, and able to pierce the clothes on your body. You'll be dead within sixty seconds."

I felt unbelievable rage tear through me as the last two lines of the prophecy clicked into place.

You will be betrayed by one who calls you a friend.

You will fail to save what matters most in the end.

I ran toward Luke and Annabeth. Shortly after Luke finished his sentence, they had turned around as if they were expecting me. I drew Catastrophe and engaged in combat with Luke. His new sword looked odd; it was half steel, half celestial bronze.

Annabeth, meanwhile, was creeping toward the downed Ethan.

She took out her dagger and stabbed it into the chest of the eight-year-old boy that had become a special part of my family.

She left the dagger in his chest as she spoke, "It's time to go Luke."

Luke stopped striking at me and began walking toward Annabeth. He stood next to her and leaned down for a kiss as they disappeared in a ripple of darkness. I could sense Ethan's life coming to an end, his time up. Thanatos, the god of death, approached and took his soul away.

I fell to my knees, and the earth seemed to shake as if in a mighty rage. The ocean's waves could be heard crashing down on the beach, rain pelted the ground, and the ground threatened to split apart.

It seemed both my father and I were mourning the loss of Ethan. I could feel the combined might of our rage, anger, sadness, and despair wreaking havoc on entire ecosystems. This would definitely go down in the mortal's history books as an "indicator" of the apocalypse.
