Annabeth nervously tapped on her suitcase as she watched the cars come in and out of the carpark. 'Just breathe,' she told herself, ' you perform in from of thousands of people at stadiums yet you are nervous to meet a family friend!'.

Part of her nerves stemmed from the fear of being recognised. She desperately pleaded with her mother that she didn't want a bodyguard, but if she was to be recognised now that would throw a wrench in her plan and she for sure wouldn't be allowed out without one again.

Although, she hardly recognised herself as she glanced at her reflection in the airport window. She had layers of makeup, paired with a wig and sunglasses. It would be incredible bad luck if anyone did recognise her.

As she continued to glance around, a black pickup truck entered the carpark and came to a halt in front of her. A tall man, with black hair and sea green eyes stepped out the drivers seat and sent a grin in her direction.

'Ah! You must be Annabelle!' He said with a wink, using her fake name to avoid public attraction.

She sent him a nervous smile back ' Yes sir. Thank you for coming to get me!'.

His grin widened as he replied, ' Oh none of the Sir stuff, it's Poseidon, let me grab your bag - and hop in!'. He grabbed her suitcase and carefully loaded it in the back of his truck, whilst she hopped into the passenger seat. Once he returned to the seat next to her, he let out a big breath.

'It's lovely to meet you Annabeth, although i must say you look nothing like the pictures.'

She let out a laugh and shook her head, 'No don't worry! I have enough makeup on my face right now that i could put Sephora out of business. Couldn't risk being noticed on the plane!'.

He nodded in understatement as he began to drive, 'That makes a lot of sense, how was the flight?'.

They made small talk for the next fifteen minutes as they drove through all the country roads, passing fields of horses and cattle. Poseidon was super easy to talk to, and she could feel herself beginning to like him rather quickly. He laughed at her amazed face as she took in her surroundings, not being used to all the nature.

'You must be excited then? I know my son Percy definitely is!'

Annabeth smiled as she replied 'You live with your son? Mom didn't tell me much about this place'.

Poseidon chuckled in response, 'Yes, i have a son Percy, about your age i think - he can show you the ropes at school and what not. Although - ' He paused and leaned a little closer, almost as if telling a secret. ' He's a big fan, but you didn't hear it from me!'.

Annabeth grinned in response 'Scouts honour!' She joked and did a little finger salute, 'it's nice to know he's not a hater though, that would've been awkward!'.

'Seriously, i've never seen the boy clean so much! Its all i want Annabeth to like us blah blah and everything has to be perfect for Annabeth blah blah..' he mimicked in a high pitched voice, ' Trust me, he'll try to act cool but he is very excited!'

The car was full of laughter and Poseidon grinned at the girl, 'don't worry, he is a sweetheart though, you'll get on great.'

Annabeth smiled to herself in excited as he pulled into a long driveway. She didn't know why she was so nervous, Poseidon was so lovely! As he continued driving a large house came into view, and Annabeth thought that it was beautiful. She always had a soft spot for architecture, and the gorgeous white farmhouse that stood before her inspired her, she could already feel lyric ideas forming in her brain.

Poseidon honked the horn a couple times before reaching a stop. He grinned at Annabeth and they both exited the car.

She turned to grab her bag but saw Poseidon had already beaten her to it, grabbing the heaviest case. She stuck her tongue out at him and grabbed her backpack that contained her laptop and other bits she used to make music and spun back round to the house, where a young man had just opened the door.

She couldn't help gasp as she took him in. He was gorgeous. He had long black hair that hung around his eyes and a little grin that made her heart flutter. He was wearing a Nirvana t-shirt and loose black sweatpants. She was used to working with attractive men in films she had been in, but this boy made her heart stop.

So this must be Percy.

He walked over to with a nervous grin on his face. It made her heart melt.

'Hey,' he started, 'Um it's super cool to meet you, Im Percy.' He stuck out his hand before realising it was covered in dirt from chores and wiped it on his jeans.

She grinned at him in response and offered out her hand, 'oh don't worry i don't mind the dirt. I feel like i'll definitely get use it to considering I'm staying for a while!'

His face lit up with a smile and he hurriedly accepted her hand with a shake. She felt sparks when he touched her and it looked like he did too from the way he quickly pulled back.

'Is there any bags left for me to grab?' He asked, and peered into the truck.

'Nope' Annabeth stated, 'most of my stuff is in LA still i pretty much just brought the essentials'.

His eyes drifted to the bag on my back, where my plushie key chain hung. A chuckle escaped his lips at the sight of the teddy and he raised an eyebrow at her.

'The essentials huh?'

She rolled her eyes at him in amusement and began to walk to the house, 'Shut up'.

He quickly followed her like a little puppy.

Poseidon emerged from the staircase and told her that he had put her case on her bed, and after she thanked him said he'd leave her to settle.

Percy led the way to her room and smiled at her as she excitedly took it all in. He seemed hesitant to leave as he hovered by the door.

'I should probably leave you to unpack. My room is across the hall from yours but i'll be outside doing some chores, if you need anything come grab me okay?'

She smiled at him and he turned to leave, stopping when she spoke 'Oh Percy!'

He spun round to look at her. 'Thank you! I know it's probably really weird for you to have me staying here but im super excited and hope we can be friends.'

His eyes lit up and he send her a soft smile. ' Me too Annabeth. See you in a bit yeah?'

And with that he turned and made his way down the hallway.

She signed as she jumped onto her bed. This was going to be a fun couple of months.
