Percy wishes he could say he spent a lot of time with Annabeth that day, but he didnt. In fact, after dropping her off at her lesson, he didn't see her until lunch, and it was impossible to get a seat next to her due to all the fans.

When she noticed him she sent him an apologetic grin, but he was just happy she was having a decent day.

He couldn't help laugh when he overheard the 'popular girls', specifically Drew, complaining how much attention Annabeth was getting, and how her movies weren't even that good. He's pretty sure Drew was wearing her merch just last week.

To say he was surprised when Annabeth rose from her seat and began to walk over to him and his friends was an understatement. She politely asked the fans if she could have a minute, to which most respected and turned to walk away, however some hung around the table.

'Hey guys!' She spoke to the group, smile beaming on her face, 'i'm really sorry i tried to come sit here earlier but they wouldn't let me, they kept asking about touring and the album and blah blah,' she paused and looked around at everyone, 'is everyone okay?'

The group beamed in response and Leo spoke up, 'Don't worry blondie, we're good! Although,' he paused with a grin on his face, pointing accusingly at her with the carrot he was eating, ' you do appear to have stolen my fangirls, see normally i have swarms of them following me, you know, trying to date me and all that'

Hazel broke out with a laugh from where she sat next to him, 'Righttt,' she drew out, rolling her eyes, 'Leo, usually they run to get away from you!'

Everyone round the table began to laugh and Percy gave Annabeth a little nudge

'See, i told you it wouldnt be bad.'

She smiled softly up at him and they looked at each other for a little longer than friends probably should, causing Jason to cough slightly. Percy glanced at him in annoyance, aware of how Annabeth's arm was pressed up against his from where she had squashed in the table between him and Hazel.

She opened her mouth to respond, but a phone ringing interrupted her. She smiled at the group apologetically and rose it to her face to answer.

'Hello? Yeah, no its fine, i'm on break, whats up?' She spoke, rising from the table and taking a couple steps away to talk to the person.

When she was out of earshot, Percy turned back round to the group, where he was greeted with 4 cheeky grins. He rose his eyebrows in question.

'What? Am i missing something?'

Frank smiled at him, 'Oh nothing, you two seem really close, is all.'

A blush crept onto Percy's face as he tried to stutter a response. 'Yeah, well, we live together so..'

Leo laughed slightly and looked the boy up and down, 'you sleep in separate beds i should hope, young man!'

That caused the group to burst out laughing, Percy resembling a tomato and Hazel fanning herself, flushed at the idea.

'Leo! Of course! What are you even..'

He was interrupted by Annabeth returning to the table, who glanced at the state they were all in with suspicion.

'What did i miss?' She asked cautiously, sitting back down.

'Nothing!' Percy yelled almost too quickly, causing her to raise her eyebrows in questioning.

She smiled and shook her head, dropping the subject. Percy thanked the lord and smiled at her softly, 'what was that about?' He asked, motioning to her phone.

'Oh that! Basically they want me to do a show at the arena this weekend, mom doesnt want me to get rusty whilst im away.'

The group looked at each other in shock.

'Wait' Jason asked, 'You're performing at the arena this weekend? Can we come?'

The group looked at her excitedly, making her laugh.

'Well of course! I need my hype group to cheer me on!' She replied, causing their little group to cheer in happiness.

She grinned at them as the bell for next period rang, eyes resting on Percy.

'Will you come?' She asked him, to which he grinned.

'Of course!'

She grinned at him before leaning closer to his ear 'thats good, Poseidon told me you're a big fan.'

Shock covered his face and he spluttered as he tried to compose himself, trying to think of something to cover. She couldnt help but laugh at him endearingly, thinking it was super cute how he was blushing right now.

'Don't worry!' She smiled at him, and in a moment of courage spoke, 'I think its really cute to be honest'.

And with that she spun on her heel and made her way to the next lesson, leaving Percy frozen at the table, heart pounding in his chest. She thought he was cute?! Him?

Frank and Jason chuckled down at his state, as Leo proclaimed loudly, 'Man! You are whipped!'.
