Sarah, contending over the imminent death of her terminally ill father, receives a proposition that sounds too good to be true. The life of her father, the eternal protection of a fae over her family, in exchange for her hand in marriage. In a moment of weakness, and too guilt-stricken to refuse, she accepts the proposal -but to whom, she has no idea. So long as it isn't 'Him'.

After a phone call from her estranged mother, Sarah is brought back into a world of goblins even if she is not ready to accept it. Guided by the Labyrinths ruler, Sarah is slowly forced to remember her past, and discover the truth behind her mothers abandonment.

Sarah is brought back to the Labyrinth to help heal the Goblin King who suffers from a mysterious ailment. She soon discovers his is a malady of the soul and heart, not easily remedied by conventional or even magical treatments. The Labyrinth was a time of transition for Sarah. It had eased her through the beginnings of a journey she should have started long before- the transition from girl to woman. This story will be set in present time. Sarah is 21 and is very successful writer who is in no rush to marry. But what happens when Jareth finds out Karen, (Sarah's stepmother) is sending suitors her way.

So deeply that perhaps, Jareth and Sarah will fall in love, even as imminent danger looms over them all.
