A/N: Did anyone see the finale of Big Sky with Jensen guesting as a temp sheriff? I think he's going to be a regular in season 3 this fall. I saw a little Dean coming out a couple of times. He was good and it's a perfect role for him. NC

Chapter 15

Bobby was in his office one morning going over some paperwork for the salvage yard when his phone rang. He looked at it for a moment before picking it up, hoping it might be the call they were waiting on.

"Singer Salvage," Bobby greeted the caller.

"Hello Bobby," Missouri replied.

"Missouri, good to hear from you," Bobby spoke warmly to her. "I hope you have some good news for us."

"It took some research and a number of phone calls and yes I do. The words were from an off shoot of French Creole and the symbols are a mixture of Romanian and Servian, but they're an older language. The witch that cursed the watch was using old magic I've not seen in this country. If I had to guess, I would say this watch came from Europe somehow."

"Maybe it was a family heirloom that got passed down through the family with no one knowing what it actually was or could do."

"That is a thought," Missouri replied.

"Let me go find Sam so he can here this too. Hold on, I'll be right back." Bobby got up and went looking for Sam to find him on the back deck sitting in the swing with Dean, reading to him.

"Sam, Missouri is on the phone," Bobby told him.

"The nice lady?" Dean asked with interest.

"Yes, the nice lady," Sam told him with a smile.

"Can I talk to her again?"

"Sure, but only for a minute, Dean. Bobby and I need to discuss some important things with her."

"Okay," said Dean jumping from the swing and running for the door.

"He really must like Missouri," Sam laughed getting up to follow.

"We washed the Im'la and I snuck up on Sam and sprayed him with water," Dean was telling Missouri when Sam and Bobby stepped into the office.

"Oh my, that does sound like fun. Did Sam get you back?" Missouri asked.

"Yeah, I fell, and he tickled me until I said uncle."

"I see. I guess the size difference was a disadvantage for you, but I'm sure you'll get him back when you get bigger."

"Yeah, I'm going to be bigger than Sam when I grow up. We gave Rufus a bath, but he gave me one too," Dean laughed describing what happened. "Do you know how to make pies? I like pies a lot."

"Why I do and next time you and that brother of yours is nearby, you better stop by and see me. I just might have a pie waiting on you."

"Sam we need to go see Missouri," Dean told him in a serious voice.

"Dean, go play in the living room while we talk to Missouri," Sam told him with a chuckle. "And we will go see Missouri soon."

"Okay, bye Missouri, I liked talking to you," Dean told her.

"Goodbye Dean and I enjoyed talking to you. You have fun with Uncle Bobby and Sam."

"He's gone, Missouri," Sam told her with a chuckle. "Bobby said you might have found something."

"I did and you're going to be surprised."

"How do we reverse it?" Bobby questioned.

"First I need to know the exact date that the incident happened to Dean. When did he first come into contact with the watch?"

"Hold on, let me look at my calendar," Bobby told her. He moved some papers around to look at his calendar as he pulled up the time when he got the letter from the storage facility and called the boys. "It was on the seventh of this month. Is that right Sam?"

"Let me think," Sam mumbled as he went over the time in his head. "Yeah, it was."

"Just what I thought. The reversal process will need to be done on the next full moon, which is ten days away. And you're in luck because it is a blood moon making it more powerful than a regular one. It should be done under the full moon. It's not complicated, Dean will need to bleed on the watch again and adjust the time forward five hours and stop. That five hours will put Dean back to the right age. Then you just need to wait until Dean goes to sleep and allow the process to reverse, like it did the first time."

"That's it?" Bobby asked surprised with the simpleness of it. "It does sound almost too easy."

"And there's no spell or ritual we need to recite?" Sam asked.

"I've triple checked everything to be sure about it. And no, nothing needs to be said. I do have to tell you Bobby, Sam, you only get one try at this. If it doesn't work, then I'm afraid Dean will have to grow up again the old fashion way."

"So, we need to be careful when we do it."

"Yes, do you need me to come up and help?"

"I don't think so. It's not that complex and there's no spell to actually perform. I think we can handle it," Bobby told her.

"Alright, but if you change your mind, you better call me."

"I will Missouri. We'll go over this to be ready."

"Good, and you let me know how things turn out."

"Of course, I will. But I gotta tell you, I think Sam will enjoy this extra time with his brother. I think he feels like he is paying Dean back for what he gave up for him. He knows Dean never really got a childhood growing up and this gives him that chance for a brief period of time," Bobby told Missouri while looking at Sam who sheepishly looked down at the floor as he talked.

"I know he will, won't you Sam?" Missouri asked him.

"Yeah, I'll cherish every minute I have with him," Sam told her in a shy voice.

"You were always a sensitive, gentle, caring person. And I know you'd do anything for your brother. Even give him this time to be a child."

"That he is and I'm proud of him," Bobby praised Sam. "Alright then, we'll set up to do it on the full moon. Thanks for all the help, Missouri. I knew you'd be able to figure this out."

"Thank you for your vote of confidence and I'll pray for a good outcome for Dean."

"We all will. Bye Missouri, we'll be in touch."

"Goodbye Bobby, Sam, and you take care of that feisty brother of yours."

Bobby hung up and checked the notes he had been taking to be sure he had what little instructions there were. He handed them to Sam to go over who nodded they seemed right to him too.

"Are you guys done talking?" Dean asked from the doorway. "I'm bored."

"Is that so," Bobby asked. "How 'bout you come with me to the garage, and I'll show you how to work on cars."

"Really? Can I Sam?" Dean asked eagerly.

"Sure, just don't get in the way and mind Bobby," Sam said giving Bobby a silent 'thank you.' He was finding out how exhausting it was to keep up with Dean, especially when he was going full steam. He was going to grab a drink and relax for a bit before going upstairs to gather their clothes and do some laundry. Dean seemed to go through a couple sets of clothes a day when he played hard, especially when he was outside. Sam hadn't bought him that many outfits since he knew he wasn't going to stay this little, hopefully that long, and Dean was running out of clean clothes.

A cell phone started ringing causing Sam to jerk awake and look around, realizing he had dozed off on the couch. He felt around in his pocket until he got his cell out to answer it.

"Hello," Sam said.

"Hey Sam, it's Jody," Jody greeted Sam in a warm, motherly voice. "I was calling to see how Dean is doing and if you have found anything out."

"Jody, good to hear from you," Sam replied. "We have made progress with the help of an old friend. We have ten days before we can hopefully get him back. It has to be done on the first night of the next full moon."

"That's good to hear. Would you mind if I dropped by this afternoon to see Dean? I have a couple of books and some more bubbles for him."

"I'm sure he would love it. He's taken a liking to you and it's not just because you made a pie with him."

"I don't care what age he is, he's a little flirt and so adorable, what's not to love. My shift ends at four, I'll come over then."

"Why don't you stay for dinner? I'm not sure what I'm fixing but you're welcome to eat with us."

"Let's do this Sam, I'll bring food for dinner tonight and you won't have to cook. I'll give you a day off from cooking."

"I couldn't ask that of you Jody."

"Nonsense Sam, I'd love to fix dinner for you guys. It's settled then, I'll be over around five or so. I'll need to run by the store and pick up a few things."

"You know Jody, Dean will be expecting another pie if you come."

"I'm way ahead of you Sam," Jody laughed merrily.

"Alright then, we'll see you later this afternoon. Bye Jody."

"Bye Sam."

The call was disconnected, and Sam smiled to himself at how it seemed everyone fell in love with Dean. His brother was a lady's man, no matter the age. Sam stretched and stood up deciding to go check on Dean in the garage, first he went into the laundry room to put their clothes in the dryer. Coming back through the living room, he snagged his water and took a few sips before strolling toward the door and out onto the porch. He drew in some breaths of fresh air and trooped down the steps, walking toward the garage.

Music was echoing through the door as he stopped in the doorway to look inside. Bobby was working on an engine and Dean was standing on a bucket, leaning on a pad on the fender watching what he was doing. Bobby was explaining things to Dean, and he was hanging on to his every word. He had a smear of dirt on his cheek and the tip of his nose, and he looked so happy.

"Hey guys," Sam greeted them as he stepped closer.

"Sam, look," Dean pointed excitedly. "That's a water pump, and the spark…plugs are right there and that's a radiator. Uncle Bobby is teaching me about cars."

"Wow! That's great," Sam nodded smiling at Dean's eagerness to learn. "Good news, Jody is coming over later this afternoon and is going to fix dinner for us tonight."

"She is? Are we going to make a pie? I want to help her cook. I like Jody a lot."

"Well, you'll have to ask Jody when she comes about that. But Dean, you need to stay out of her way so she can cook. I know you want to help, but there are some things you can't do," Sam told him.

"Okay," Dean huffed with a pout.

"I expect you to be on your best behavior when Jody comes over," Sam cautioned Dean, trying to be authoritative.

"I'm always good," Dean mumbled with a snort, not looking up at Sam.

Sam looked at Bobby perplexed with Dean's snide remark and Bobby snickered, shaking his head. Bobby didn't say what he was thinking; that Dean already had an attitude, even this young. He wondered what Sam would do if Dean started acting like a brat and disobeyed him. Would Sam be able to discipline him?

"You wanna hand me a cross point screwdriver Dean?" Bobby asked him.

"Okay," Dean replied turning around to look in the toolbox to find the screwdriver. He handed it to Bobby and leaned in farther to see what he was doing. He was engrossed with it all and didn't notice Sam studying him intently.

"Well, I'm not needed out here, I'm going to head back to the house, maybe sweep the kitchen and finish the laundry I'm doing."

"Good," Dean told him waving him away without looking in his direction.

"Guess I'm being dismissed," Sam commented, feeling a little hurt by Dean's remark. He left them in the garage and headed back to the house. Sam busied himself with washing what dirty dishes were in the sink, wiping down to stove and counters, sweeping the kitchen and living room, and folding the clothes when the dryer went off, they were done. He took them upstairs to put away and did a quick clean of the bathroom while he was up there.

Sam was in the living room when Dean came running in and headed for the bathroom as Bobby came in behind him. He headed down the hall to his bedroom to get a quick shower before Jody got there.

"What ya doing?" Dean asked Sam when he came back out and plopped down on the couch beside him.

"Just reading a little and resting," Sam replied wetting his thumb with spit and wiping the tip of Dean's nose and cheek of the dirt smeared across them.

"Ewww…" Dean grimaced in disgust as he rubbed his face and smacked at Sam.

"You forgot to wash your face when you went to the bathroom."

"I love you," Dean randomly said as he threw his arms around Sam's neck to hug him tightly.

"I love you too," Sam replied not sure what brought on this train of thought.

"You're an awesome big brother," Dean whispered into Sam's ear before hopping up already moving to something else. "Can I have a snack?"

"Just a small one," Sam answered wondering about Dean's motive to the complements. "Jody should be here shortly and you'll wanna be hungry when dinner is ready." Sam got up and headed for the kitchen to hunt a snack for him. They sat at the kitchen table so Dean could have his snack.

"She's here!" Dean cried out when the doorbell rang a short time later and ran for the door.

"Dean! You don't answer the…." Sam tried to tell him, but it was too late, he already had the door open.

"Jody!" Dean yelled as he wrapped his arms around her waist.

"Easy there, sweetie," Jody laughed as she juggled the bags in her arms and tried to keep her balance.

"Here, let me give you a hand," Sam offered taking the bags from Jody.

"Now, hello there young man," Jody told Dean reaching down to pick him up so she could hug him tightly. "It's good to see you."

"Can I help you cook?" Dean asked laying his head on Jody's shoulder. "Sam said I had to stay out of the way, but I can help, can't I?" he asked batting his eyelashes at Jody and snuggling with her. He looked at Sam with mischief eyes, like he knew what he was doing to get Jody to do what he wanted.

"You're such a tease and a flirt," said Sam shaking his head and looking toward the ceiling.

"You do know how to woo a woman sweetheart," Jody smirked. She looked up to see Sam had his cell out and was taking photos of them. "Of course, you can help me cook."

"Can we make a pie?" Dean asked with a hopeful look on his face.

"Our dinner wouldn't be complete without a pie. Why don't we go get to cooking Dean and you can be my helper?"

"Okay," Dean agreed, wiggling from her arms and taking her hand to pull her toward the kitchen.

"Easy Dean, don't make Jody fall," Sam insisted as he steadied Jody.

"I'm fine Sam," Jody chuckled. "Why don't you take a seat and enjoy a beer while Dean and I start cooking."

"Sure, fine," Sam shrugged deciding not to argue.

"It'll calm your nerves," she offered.

"I'll get it," Dean offered going to the fridge and pulling out a beer. He marched over to Sam and sat it on the table. "Here you go, it'll calm your nerves," Dean mimicked Jody making Sam choke and cough from the remark looking to Jody who had to turn away to laugh into her hand.

"Here you go, let's put an apron on you." Jody pulled out a small apron and tied it around Dean's waist before putting one on too. She began to unpack the bags with the ingredients for dinner. "Okay, let me move a chair for you to use Dean and you can wash the vegetables for me."

"Alright, I'm good at doing that." Dean waited for Jody to put the chair at the sink and knelt on it so he could wash the vegetables she put by the sink.

Sam sat at the table and just watched the interaction, occasionally taking a photo to save the memory for Jody and him. He could see how much Jody was enjoying the time with Dean and was happy to share his brother with her. It wasn't long before Bobby joined them and sat down beside him with a beer. They talked about random topics while Jody got the food cooking. She let Dean do small things to make him feel like he was helping too. While the food cooked, she joined them at the table. Dean climbed into her lap and made himself comfortable, getting all the loving he could.

"I love you Jody," Dean whispered to her and kissing her cheek.

"I love you too, honey," Jody smiled at him squeezing him and kissing the side of his face.

"Will you be my girlfriend?" he asked looking lovingly up in her eyes.

"I'd be honored to be your girlfriend," she replied looking over and Sam and Bobby to see an amused look on their faces.

"I have a girlfriend, Sam" Dean beamed proudly poking his chest out as he looked to Bobby and Sam.

"I see," Sam replied trying to keep a straight face. He took a couple more photos of Dean and Jody so he could be sure to include them in his album and note this is when Jody became his girlfriend.

A/N: Now they know what needs to be done and when. Only one chance at this or Dean stays this way and has to grow up all over again. Jody comes to spend more time with Dean. Thanks for coming along for the ride. I do like reviews/comments. NC
