Moonglade, in the area that would later be known as Stormrage Barrow Den
Two humanoid figures were embracing each other among the underground temple/palace, the place of resting for many druids who enter the Emerald Dream. But despite being humanoid on a closer look it was clear that they were far from human.
The one with a female figure had purple skin, green hair, bright blue eyes and long pointed ears, the other beside her looked like a male version of her but with considerable differences as well. The male was much taller than her but that wasn't his most distinctive features but rather the various animal parts that made up his body. He had antlers upon his head, feathers on his arm and other animalistic features, while glowing blue bolts streaked his body.
They were Malfurion and Tyrande the rulers of the Night Elves.
"Must you leave me again?" Tyrande asked the sadness yet understanding in her voice easily heard.
Malfurion sighed "You know I must, the Emerald Dream must be healed and this war with the remanent of the Highborne delayed that mission".
Tyrande seemed hesitant for a moment "One night" she said, "one night with me before you return to your slumber".
A small smile made its way on Malfurion's face "Of course my love, a night with you is a treasure".
A night of passion then ensued, say what you will about immortals or long-lived species being aloof and stiff but when they decide to be passionate, they can be very passionate!
In the morning Tyrande could be seen exiting the underground barrow she stopped at the entrance and looked behind her "Goodbye for now my love, till you next awaken".

Nearly a year later Tyrande Pov
Uuugghhh by Elune this was painful, I had heard there were few pains equal to a woman giving birth, but I wasn't sure I really believed it but now? I think they understated it.
I bucked as another contraction hit me, I gripped the side of my bed even as I gritted my teeth.
"It's coming, I can start to see the head, one more push lady Tyrande" a female healer called Syrae Evencloud said.
"UUGHHAAAHHH" a guttural scream/moan exited me as one final big push gave way, as the child exited me.
"Congratulations my lady it's a girl" Syrae said wiping the child, wrapping her up and then handing her to me.
I nodded "Call Shrandis in" I said and one of my Sentinels who went to get my adopted daughter.
Shandris quickly entered the room "Come" I said my smiled with a pained expression "come and meet your sister" showing her the little bundle, who eyes were groggily opening and closing.
How I wished Malfurion was here, I thought but I could only awaken him if it was an emergency and while the birth of our daughter was an important personal event, it wasn't an emergency.
"What will you call her mother?" Shrandis asked looking at her new sister.
A good question but one I had already had an answer to "Calia, Calia Stormrage, my little storm" that would be her name as I saw the newly named Calia yawn and fall asleep.

Huh, I though groggily, what happened? Last thing I remember was some sort of fight after Shampoo had poisoned me with her newest concoction to win me over and then my rivals attacking me but then nothing.
I tried opening my eyes, but it seemed hard for some reason and when I finally got them open it was all blurry. Slowly my vision began to focus, and I saw...
My thoughts jarred as I saw a purple skinned, green haired, long eared, I'm not sure what!
Then another came over and for some strange reason I could understand them, Calia, they called me Calia? Then I realised what had happened as I noticed the blankets I was wrapped up in and the way that this woman was holding me, I had somehow become a baby, I was reincarnated, did that mean my rivals had finally managed to do me in after all?
Then I yawned as despite being a teenager this body was that of a baby and a baby needed sleep.
Well, I thought, I would figure this out later as I began to drift off to sleep.

This birth happens just after the Highborne later the High Elves exile so thousands of years before the First War and the main storyline but after the War of Ancients.
In terms of Ranma's second name I was unable to find out whether night elf children gain the second name after the mother or the father or perhaps a new one. The only thing I am reasonably certain about is that blood related siblings will share the same second name as shown by Illidan and Malfurion.
