[Author's Note: This idea just sorta popped into my head this morning at 3:45am. What if in some way that Tony Stark and Pepper Potts resembled James and Lily Potter? So, I started writing. I will admit that I may have some misspelled words in it. Please enjoy!]
A Shocking Resemblance in Some Ways

Harriet Jayme Selene Potter had just returned from her second year of Hogwarts; when she was suddenly engulfed in a blue light.
The Dursleys saw this and were surprised by it but Vernon Dursley said, "Good riddance." Which his wife couldn't agree more.
For they could care less about what had just happened. However, they had no idea who or what had taken their niece, but eventually they will be in shock when they learn of it.
Moments later, Harriet was coming around and was completely confused. She looked around and saw that she was in a glass building, but what caught her attention the most was a picture in the corner on a end table. It was a picture of a man and a woman who seem to resemble her late parents a bit.
She had kept the picture of her parents with her and was stunned by how these two muggles resembled them in some way or another.
"Well, I didn't expect a twelve year old to be brought to me." A male voice said.
Harriet turned to see a man with black hair and unusual eyes looking at her then she asked, "Who are you? And where am I?"
"I am Loki and you're in New York." Loki answered.
Harriet seemed to blink with confusion. Then suddenly, Harriet saw a red and gold metallic man land outside. She watch as the metallic man was walking towards and what appeared to be metal arms taking away what appeared to be armor.
"So it's the Man of Iron?" Loki questioned.
Tony walked in and noticed a little girl. He wondered where she had come from; then he was stunned when she passed out at seeing him which he thought was unusual. However, this made it very difficult since Loki had a very young hostage; but that's not exactly what got him. She looked at him directly and said quietly to where only he heard her and said, "Dad?" then she passed out.
Moments later, Tony lunged towards the unconscious little girl and shielded her as the Hulk burst through the glass after his brief conversation with Loki. Tony watched as the Hulk smashed Loki into the floor several times then left.
Tony searched for any identification on the young girl and he was shocked when he saw a picture of a man and woman that almost looked like him and Pepper holding a beautiful baby girl; but the weird part was that the people in the picture were moving. He turned the picture over to see if it had been written on the back to his shock he had read:
Lord James Charlus Potter and Lady Lily Maria Potter with the their daughter, Harriet Jayme Selene Potter; November 1981.
Then Tony realized exactly why the little girl had called him dad, but there had to be more to it. He hoped when she came to that he could talk to her; but first he needed to get her to safety. So, he suited back up and picked her up and flew with her in his arms.
"Cap, we have a problem." Tony stated.
"What's that Tony?" Steve questioned.
"Loki, may have kidnapped a little girl and she may need medical attention." Tony stated.
"What?!" Steve said.
"I am bringing her down, Cap." Tony said.
"Okay, Hawkeye can check her for now and then we'll get her to the S.H.I.E.L.D Medical Staff." Steve said.
"Here we come." Tony stated.
Steve, Clint, and Natasha saw Tony flying down towards them with a little girl in his arms.
"Where did the kid come from?" Clint questioned.
"I don't know exactly. All I know is that Loki may have kidnapped her. Her name is Harriet Jayme Selene Potter and she's probably twelve years old because she was born in 1980." Tony stated as she started coming around again.
"Hello." Steve said.
Harriet clutched Tony tightly.
Tony noticed this and said, "Kiddo?"
Harriet looked at Tony and said, "Yes?"
"This is Captain America aka Steve Rogers, Clint Barton aka Hawkeye and Natasha Romanov aka Black Widow. I am Iron Man as you are aware." Tony stated.
"Nice to meet you." Harriet said but stayed close to Tony.
Tony looked at the kid and said, "Nat and Clint will make sure okay."
Harriet looked at Tony and said, "You wish me stay with them, Dad?"
Steve, Clint, and Natasha were stunned that this little girl called Tony, Dad.
Tony just nodded then Harriet hugged him and softly said, "Come back safely, Dad or Mom will fuss."
Tony returned the hug and said quietly, "I promise, princess."
They watched as Tony flew off and Steve said, "Miss, may ask why you called Tony, Dad?"
Harriet turned to Steve and showed him the picture.
Steve, Clint, and Natasha gasped in shock as the couple that was holding a baby girl in the picture looked similar to Tony and Pepper.
"Well, I guess I better do what your Dad asked." Clint said, "So let's take care of those cuts and bruises."
Harriet just nodded.
Moments later, Harriet looked up and saw Tony guiding a missile into the portal and the other Avengers watched along with her. She watched as the Hulk caught her father and brought him down gently the she saw Thor rip off his face plate. She ran towards them followed by the others just the Hulk roared.
Tony jolted and sat up when someone hugged him tightly; he looked to see Harriet and he saw tear tracks down her face. He hugged her back as well as apologizing to her quietly and Harriet spoke quietly to him.
Tony's teammates were actually stunned to see him acting like a father to this little girl. Then suddenly, two people approached them.
"May we help you?" Steve questioned.
"My name is Amelia Bones and this is Kingsly Shacklebolt." The woman said.
"So, your Harriet's friend, Susan Bones' Aunt that works in Law Enforcement?" Tony said holding Harriet's hand standing up.
Amelia and Kingsly looked at the man that just spoke and where in shock.
"Lord Potter! You're alive!" Amelia said.
"Not possible!" Kingsly said.
Tony didn't answer for a minute because he saw his teammates looking at him in confusion. Then Tony smirked and said, "Madam Bones, I am very disappointed in the Minstery of Magic of Britain."
(What no one knew was that Harriet told Tony quietly everything that happened so far and Tony decided to use the look alike to Harriet's late father to his advantage. However, something unexpected happened.)
"Why is that, Lord Potter?" Kingsly asked.
Tony looked at them both and said with confidence, "Well, have the wills been read? If not then mine and Lily's wills were not followed. My spirit is possessing this muggle man who is similar to me to tell you that Lily and I have always been watching over our daughter in the afterlife and we are not happy. "
Tony's teammates were stunned by what Tony was saying.
Kingsly was stunned to hear that the spirit of James Potter was possessing a muggle man's body.
"What about Lily?" Amelia asked.
"Her look alike is on the private jet of the man known as Tony Stark who is my look alike that I am currently possessing. This will be a secret from everyone including S.H.I.E.L.D; Natasha Romanov!" Tony said in James's voice.
Suddenly, Tony's phone rang and he answered it, "Hello!"
"Tony! Are you okay?!" Pepper said.
"I'm fine, Lily; I mean Pepper. I'll explain everything when you return." Tony with James's voice said.
Pepper laughed and said, "I can't wait to hear it, James, I mean Tony."
Tony hung up and then faced Amelia and Kingsly saying, "It's still Summer. Harriet will stay with Tony Stark and Pepper Potts for the remainder of it. You will allow her to return to them every Summer or Tony and the Avengers will come and get her. If Tony wishes to adopt Harriet then she will become Harriet Potter-Stark, daughter of Tony Stark and Pepper Potts. So smote it be!"
Amelia and Kingsly said, "So smote it be!"
Suddenly, Tony shook his head and said, "Why do I have a headache?"
"Tony, the spirit of Harriet's late father just possessed you." Bruce said.
"Aye and he's not happy with the Wizarding World of Britain." Thor stated.
Tony sighed and said, "Yes, I am fully aware and he shared memories with me apparently."
"Mr. Stark, we were going to take Harriet back with us; but Lord Potter made clear that Harriet was to stay with you and Miss Potts that he even suggested that the two of you could adopted her should you wish to." Amelia said.
Tony looked at Amelia and said, "Like he'll, you're taking her back! I would be honored to do so, meaning that I will adopt her; but first I would ask well more like demand that you take a look into the Dursleys because they abused Harriet. I will not trust Dumbledore because if he continues to put Harriet in situations then I will personally appear and give him a peice of my mind."
"How will you bring Harriet back for the school year?" Kingsly questioned curiously.
"We'll take my private jet." Tony said.
Kingsly blinked.
"Tony is a billionaire." Clint stated.
"Aye and Lady Potter-Stark will be safe with us during the Summer." Thor said, "Besides, I believe brother will owe her an apology."
"Who are you?" Amelia asked curiously.
"Thor Odinson, crowned prince of Asgard and my brother, Loki caused the mess; but I didn't expect him to kidnap Lady Potter-Stark." Thor stated.
Kingsly was still shocked that this muggle of a man favored James Potter. Then he heard Mr. Stark say, "Harriet, why don't you show him the pictures side by side?"
Harriet nodded and did as Tony asked and showed the pictures to both Kingsly and Amelia.
Amelia and Kingsly were both amazed that they began to wonder if Mr. Stark and Miss Potts could possibly be reincarnations of Lily and James.
Then they heard, "Cap, you've been awful quiet?"
Everyone looked at Steve when Tony said that. They noticed that he was upset over something.
Steve looked at Tony and said, "While you were possessed, Tony; you mentioned Dumbledore and the only Dumbledore that I know of is Albus Dumbledore."
Amelia gasped and asked looking at Steve, "How do you know the Headmaster of Hogwarts?"
"World War 2." Steve simply stated.
"You're the super soldier that Dumbledore mentioned with the allies that helped us!" Kingsly gasped.
The other Avengers along with Tony and Harriet were shocked to hear this as well as Kingsly and Amelia.
Tony looked at Steve and said, "So, you probably already knew that Magic existed? However, Cap, I would like your help with training Harriet not with magic but with self defense if she doesn't have her wand with her."
"I'll gladly help Harriet, Tony. After all, she's going to be your's and Pepper's daughter." Steve said.
Harriet was still standing beside Tony and looked up at him with a smile. Tony saw out of the corner of his eye at how happy Harriet seemed that he smiled as well.
Then Tony said, "Why don't we continue this conversation at Stark Tower away from everything?"
Everyone nodded and followed Tony to Stark Tower. When they arrived, Amelia and Kingsly were absolutely stunned at seeing the building.
Once inside, everyone sat down including Amelia and Kingsly.
Tony had Harriet sit beside him and said, "Jarvis?!"
"Yes, sir?" The AI said.
Amelia and Kingsly jumped at the voice.
"Record everything said here, so Pepper may hear the conversation later when she turns." Tony stated.
"Right away, sir." Jarvis said.
"Was that a ghost?" Kingsly questioned.
The Avengers chuckled.
"Not quite. It's Artificial Intelligence that I created." Tony said.
Hawkeye looked at the two magicals and asked, "How did you two know well find out that Harriet so fast?"
The rest of the Avengers were wondering the same thing.
"The Minstery keeps track of all underage witches and wizards." Amelia stated.
"That makes sense. However, Harriet didn't come here by her own magic; she was brought here by the magic of the Norse God of Mischief and Lies, Loki who is Thor's adopted brother." Tony said.
"You mean..." Kingsly said.
"The Norse gods are real?" Amelia said.
Tony made a face that said that he couldn't believe these people didn't believe that the Norse gods were real and yet they have magic.
Suddenly, Harriet finally spoke, "Mr. Kingsly and Madam Amelia, I don't know how you two knew my parents, but I will tell you this. But, being kidnapped so suddenly wasn't exactly on my list and the weirdest thing was that Loki knew something about me; which makes me think that some things are kept from me. When Mr. Stark was possessed by the spirit of my father; I was shocked by what he said but I didn't show it."
Tony looked at his soon to be adopted daughter with absolute pride which meant she was very intelligent; however, he wasn't happy that some things were being kept from Harriet.
Kingsly looked at Harriet and said, "Both Amelia and myself knew your father as he and your godfather were both Aurors working for the Minstery. Your father, James Potter was working through the ranks and became Head Auror eventually."
"So, that's how you two knew them then?" Harriet questioned.
Both Amelia and Kingsly nodded.
They continued talking about everything and when the conversation was done; Tony said, "Since Harriet will be staying with me and Pepper as well as the Avengers for Summer Holidays, she will learn how to fight without her wand in case something happens to her wand and she will catch up on her Muggle education as well regardless of what Albus Dumbledore thinks."
Amelia and Kingsly understood.
"By the way, when does Hogwarts start back?" Tony questioned.
"September 1st, Mr. Stark." Amelia said.
"Well, then it seems that we have a long way to go and a short time to get there." Tony stated.
Clint chuckled as he realized that Tony took that particular line from a song from the movie called Smokey and the Bandit.
Amelia and Kingsly were confused by what Tony said.
Natasha noticed that the two magicals were confused and said, "Tony has a huge movie collection and sometimes quotes the movie line but in this case he decided to quote a song lyric from a movie."
