When Yukine refuses to go on a routine housekeeping job after an argument, Yato of course gets himself into trouble and needs rescuing. Yukine is almost too late, and it finally hits home, what happened to Ebisu before. He's plagued by nightmares of what it would mean for Yato to reincarnate. Yato, of course, doesn't get it at all.

Hiyori's room is covered in photographs, some of them labelled with neat permanent marker and others captioned with playful inside jokes. With each picture that goes up, Yato knows he's a little more blessed as the proof of his existence in Hiyori's heart, and of their little makeshift family, grows bigger one photo at a time. When Yato develops heat sickness after working in the summer heat all day long. His friends worry for him, and try to comfort him in his time of need. But when a stubborn Yato refuses to lay down and relax, his friends and family have to deal with the stubborn god.

Father has decided it's time for his son to stop his silly rebellion and to return home, where his heart belongs. It's time his children learn their lesson. Making the good choices will get them the love they've been longing for all these centuries. And the bad ones will leave them - or those around them - sick or dead or just too broken to be put back together like before.

Kazuma never did understand Yato, but that doesn't mean he didn't try. He keeps coming back through the years, looking for a way to repay the life-debt he owes. He never quite feels like he manages, but he learns a lot along the way as he watches Yato transform from a magatsukami to something else entirely.

I just think it would be funny if Father's parents were perfectly lovely people and he simply was Always Like that.

Gods and humans aren't meant to be together, Yato knows this but the thoughts and emotions won't stay still within his heart. A short drabbled centered around Yato and Hiyori and a confession.
