Sonata sighs as she enters a clothing store. While she was still confused about why she liked a boy, she had a feeling she should at least look nice. She found the woman's clothing and looked for clothes her size. She was lucky that she has done shopping before and knew what to look for. She notices a few shirts and walked over to the changing room.
"Let's see. Purple or Blue?" She said, hanging each one on her body.
Sonata has grown to like purple and almost always worn it. However, the blue was close to her normal color skin.
"Hmm? Should I let my hair down?" Sonata thought.
As she kept trying to make up her mind, she heard the door open and turns to see Paulina and another girl with her.
"Excuse me, you're in my changing room," Paulina said.
Sonata rolled her eyes. She knew of Paulina. She was no Adagio.
"I'm using it. Find your own." Sonata said, going back to the mirror.
"WHAT?!" Paulina shouted.
She then reached over and grabs Sonata by her shirt collar. She was yanked out before Paulina glares at her.
"No one speaks to me that way!" She said, stomping up to Sonata.
Sonata rolls her eyes. She cross her arms and didn't back down.
"So? I'm trying to find some nice to wear. This store doesn't belong to you." She said.
Paulina looked ready to crawl her eyes out, but the other girl spoke up.
"Paulina, calm down. Remember what happened the last time you got into a fight in a store?" She said.
Paulina then glares at her friend, forcing her to take a step back.
"As if! They can't kick me out and they know it." She said, turning back to Sonata.
"As you! I make sure you'll never step into another store again!" She added.
Sonata shook her head.
"All because I was using a changing room. That anyone can use?" She said, not liking this girl.
"I used this changing room since I started coming here! No one but me can use it!" Paulina almost shouted.
Sonata shooked her head again. Even Adagio shares the changing rooms. This girl thought she was a queen.
"I don't see your name on it," Sonata told her.
"I don't have to put a name on it! It's mine!" Paulina shouted.
"Sure it is. Now if you don't mind..." Sonata said, walking around her.
"Yes, I DO mind!" Paulina said, grabbing Sonata's arm.
Sonata faces Paulina with a glare of her own.
"Let go of me." She said, pulling her arm away.
"I don't think so!" Paulina said, grabbing her ponytail.
Sonata felt it get pulled and flinched from the pain. She tried to free her hair, but Paulina didn't let go. It looks as if she was trying to drag her out of the store before two hands shot up and grabs both Paulina's hand and Sonata's hair. The hands carefully pull Paulina's hand off of her hair and Sonata relaxed. She turned to thank the person before seeing it was Jazz, Danny's older sister.
"Jazz? What are you doing here?" The other girl asked.
"I normally don't like shopping, but I do know that Paulina can't kick anyone without a good reason." She said, crossing her arms.
"What are you doing here, Miss Freak-ton?" Paulina said.
"You've been hanging around Dash too long." Jazz said, rolling her eyes.
"I was just passing by when I saw what you were doing. Since Sonata is a friend of my brother, I decide to step in and help." She added.
Sonata blushed. She help her because she was her brother's friend. Paulina rolled her eyes.
"So? This is my store!" She said.
"Not what he thinks." Jazz said, pointing behind her.
Paulina turns and saw the mall cop walking over to them. This one knew all about her and didn't care she was rich.
"Ms. Sanchez. Trying to take over the store again?" He asked, crossing his arms.
Paulina huffs and was about to say something, but he cut her off.
"Don't. This is your second strike. Remember what your father said if you keep doing this?" He told her.
Paulina growls before walking away, with the other girl following after her. Jazz sighs before thanking the guard and turning to Sonata.
"Are you ok?" She asked.
"Yeah. Thanks." Sonata said, picking up the clothes she was looking over.
"What bring you here?" Jazz asked.
"Oh, just wanted to try out some new clothes," Sonata said, not looking at her.
"Really? Would it happen to be due to my brother?" Jazz asked, seeing her flinched a bit.
Sonata looks at the floor unsure what to say or do. Jazz heard the tales at school that one of the new girls acted all shy around her brother and it seems Sam wasn't taking it well. She was there when Sam had Sonata stand back to talk to her. She was about to step up when Aria beat her to it.
"Sonata, what do you think of my brother?" Jazz asked.
She blinks. What does she think of Danny?
"Well, he's funny. Great to talk to. I have to admit his dream to travel to the stars sounds really nice." She said, blushing.
"I see. Anything else?" Jazz asked, sitting down.
"Well, He doesn't put up with Adagio's bossiness. Even refused to give in her demand of taking us to see your parents." Sonata added, not facing her.
Jazz could read her body language. Sonata clearly had feelings for her brother, but she wasn't sure what to make of them. In fact, she was about to admit them before Sam cut her off.
"Sonata, Danny isn't the type of guy to turn anyone down without reason. But he is clueless when comes to girls liking him. That being said," Jazz said, surprising the siren.
Sonata turns back to her and Jazz contained.
"You don't have to dress nicely to get his attention. Just be yourself." She said.
Sonata blinks. Did Jazz just? She looks at the older teenager, who just smiled.
"But if you want to know something about him, his favorite color is blue." Jazz added before leaving.
Sonata just watched her. Finally, she looked at the blue shirt and raise an eyebrow.
"What was that about?" She asked.
Meanwhile,
Danny groans as he caught another ghost. He flinches as he grabs his shoulder.
"Augh. These ghosts are coming out of the woodwork. I don't know how much longer I can keep this up." Danny groans.
"Then let them leave."
Danny looks around as he heard a growling voice. Suddenly, something grabs him and pins him on the wall. It was the Ghost Gator!
"They should not be here. They don't belong in this world." It said.
"What are you talking about?" Danny asked, trying to get free.
"We are here to send them back to their world. The longer they stay, the more dangers will appear." It told him.
"Who?" Danny asked, more worried about the dangers.
"The Dazzlings." It said, letting him go.
Danny's eyes widen. He stood up, getting ready to fight.
"They are not who you think you are. The girl you protected, is not who you think she is." The Ghost Gator said before phasing back into the sewers.
Danny looks at the spot before raising an eyebrow.
"What was that all about?" He asked.
Another short chapter, but it's for a reason. I was trying to come up with an idea, but my mind was coming up blank. Dragonrule was able to give me an idea, and I thank him for that. But I had another problem. No matter how hard I tried, I COULDN'T THINK OF ANYTHING! It was like my mind was empty, and nothing will fill it up. It was like I didn't want to write. I was able to get something as you can see. Hopefully, I can do better next chapter.
