Music Class,
Sonata and Aria stood in front of the teacher both of them flinching from their voices when they try to sing a single note.
"Girls. I told you, stop forcing it. You need to let the music flow through you." Their teacher said.
"We're trying, but it's hard to break the habit when we use to sing all the time," Sonata said.
The Teacher nodded, understanding why they keep doing this. Maybe it was time for something else.
"Well, instead of trying to sing for yourselves, how about singing for someone else?" The Teacher said.
Both Sonata and Aria looked confused.
"From what you told me, you two and your cousin always sing before losing your voices. But you kept singing for yourselves. Not for your fans, not for anyone you like, but for yourselves. It's time to change that mindset." The Teacher told them.
Both of them looked at each other, a little surprised by that. Sonata started to think about it. Could she really sing if she sang for someone else?
"Do you both have someone that you would like to sing to?" Their teacher asked.
"No," Aria said, sighing.
"I might," Sonata said.
"Then imagine that person sitting in front of you and think of a song you would want to sing to him. Remember, music comes from the heart." The teacher said.
Sonata closes her eyes and imagines a raven-haired boy with blue eyes in front of her. She opens her mouth before the bell rings.
"Ah, I forget about the time. Well then, remember what I said and don't forget to practice. And please, try to bring your cousin." The teacher said.
Sonata sighs as Aria held back a groan. They left their music class and saw Adagio waiting for them.
"This is pointless." She told them.
Aria rolled her eyes. She did see some truth to what the teacher was telling her but she really did care about anyone, other than her sister and cousin. Sonata pouted as she try to imagine the person she had before, only for it to fade away.
"We need an artifact to get our singing voices back," Adagio told them.
"Adagio, you keep mentioning that and I'll keep saying this, HOW and WHERE are we going to find one?!" Aria said, tried of hearing that.
Sonata turns away before she spotted Danny and his friends. Without thinking, she walked up to them.
"Hey, guys." She said, making the three turn.
"Hey, Sonata. Music class is over, huh?" Danny asked.
"Yeah. We not getting anywhere with how we normally sing but we were given a new idea. Didn't have time to try it out." Sonata said, sadly.
"Well, keep trying. I have to admit, I would like to hear your singing voice." Danny said, making Sonata blush.
He didn't notice it, but Sam did.
"Oh, right! I almost forgot. I ran into you sister, yesterday." Sonata said.
"Jazz? Really?" Danny asked.
"Yes, I was doing some shopping, and Paulina tried to throw me out," Sonata said.
Sam rolled her eyes at that one.
"That sound like Paulina, alright." She said.
"She grabs me by my hair and your sister steps in," Sonata said.
"Geez, I still don't get what I saw in her in the first place," Danny said, knowing Paulina's true colors.
"So, Jazz brought over the guard, and Paulina got kicked out," Sonata said.
"Sevres her right," Sam said.
"It must have been the guard that won't accept the A-Listers," Tucker said.
"So, what were you doing shopping?" Sam asked.
"Oh, I was looking for new clothes," Sonata said.
Sam didn't like that. Not with the way Sonata was acting. However, Danny was worried about something else. For some reason, the Ghost Gator said that Sonata and her family were dangerous but they didn't look dangerous. Yeah, Sam tried to find something about them, but Danny wasn't sure.
"Actually, Danny?" Sonata spoke up.
"Yeah, Sonata?" He answered.
"I was wondering if you would like to hang out after school," Sonata asked.
"Sure. My schedule is clear today." Danny said.
'Unless some ghost ruins it.' He added in thought.
"Great. Thanks!" Sonata smiles, walking away.
Danny smiles as Sam growls. Tucker notices and shook his head. Lately, everyone has been noticing how Sam was acting when she was around Sonata. They all saw the same thing each time a girl tried to get to know Danny. It was starting to be clear that Sam wanted Danny to herself and not let him choose his choices. Many were starting to rethink their option of Danny and Sam getting together.
"Come on, guys," Danny said, heading for class.
Tucker shooked his head and followed his best friend. Sam glares at Sonata for a few seconds before following her friends.
Lunch,
Danny sighs as he once again had a run-in with Dash. He was stuffed in his locker and dumped in a trash can. He had no doubt that Dash was trying to get him ready for his hangout with Sonata. He also started to notice that Sam kept an angry look on her face and it was starting to worry him.
"Sam, are you okay?" He asked.
"Yeah, I'm fine," Sam said, not sounding fine.
Danny raise an eyebrow as Tucker shook his head.
"You go on ahead, dude. I need to talk to Sam about something important." Tucker said, leaving no room for argument.
Sam glares at him but Tucker grabs her arm and pulls her away. Danny just blinks as he watched his two friends head out to the hall. Once they were at a place where no one could hear them, Tucker face Sam.
"Okay, Sam, this has gone on long enough." He said.
"Not not, Tucker," Sam said, getting ready to walk past him.
"Yes, NOW!" Tucker said, grabbing her arm again.
"I kept quiet out my safety but this has gone on long enough!" He said, forcing her to look at him.
"Just because Danny doesn't notice it doesn't mean everyone else has! I notices how you look when Sonata asked Danny if they can hang out. Everyone in the town notices how you act when a girl tries to spend time with Danny!" He said.
Sam rolled her eyes but Tucker groan in anonymous.
"Will you knock it off! You can deny it all you want, Sam, but it doesn't care the fact that you're jealous!" Tucker shouted.
Sam opened her mouth, but Tucker cut her off.
"Stop! Don't even think about it!" He said, covering her mouth.
"You always do this, Sam. It's gotten old! If you're not jealous, then why are you trying to drive every girl away?" He added.
Sam pulled his hand off her, but Tucker didn't let her speak.
"Everyone knows you like Danny more than a friend! Heck, even the A-Listers think you and Danny are going to get together before the school year is up. But, nope! You want to deny your feelings and drive Danny away. You've been doing this for a long time. Guess what, if you keep doing this then Danny will never admit that he likes you more as a friend. You're setting him up to be with someone else! He's not going to stay single forever!" Tucker told her.
Sam was about to say something but Tucker stop her again.
"I don't want to hear it! Just because you don't want to admit it, doesn't mean it's not true! Get over it, Sam. Another girl likes him because you refuse to admit your feelings. He starting to move out of your reach and you're trying everything to keep him in your gasp. You know who that sounds like? Your Parents." Tucker said.
That left Sam speechless. Tucker then turns away from her.
"Give it up, Sam. No matter how much you wish it, and I don't see Desiree around, Danny might as well find a girl that would understand him and accept his feelings if he returns them. Give it up and move on with your life!" Tucker said, heading back to the cafeteria.
Sam just stood there. Was she really acting like her parents? Was she really driving Danny into the arms of another girl? Was Tucker right? She just stood there, unsure of what to think.
Later,
Danny stood at the doors, watching as Tucker and Sam headed off. Through, Sam had a strange look on her face. Danny was worried, but Tucker told him to give her some time. Plus, he was going to spend time with Sonata today.
Hi, Danny!"
'Speaking of the devil...' He thought, facing her.
"Sorry it took me so long. Aria was trying to get Adagio to stop complaining that I'm wasting my time around you. I just was able to sneak away." She said.
"Really? Why does Adagio think I'm a waste of time?" Danny asked.
Sonata shrugs. She really had no idea why Adagio thought that.
"So, any ideas?" Danny asked.
Okay, this is short for a reason, but it's longer than my last chapter. I would like to hear what you think Danny and Sonata should do for the day before there are any ghost attacks.
I covered a bit of Sonata's and Aria's music class, and Tucker had enough of Sam's attitude. So how is Sam taking it? Well, it's too soon to tell. And I did get some ideas from the reviews about the artifact the Dazzlings could use and I'll think about it. And why didn't Danny tell Tucker and Sam what the Ghost Gator said? Well, he is unsure if the Ghost Gator is right or wrong. After all, he had only known them for a few days.
