The following morning, Diana was sitting with Apple and Briar at breakfast in the castleteria. Raven had decided to sit with Cerise at another table across the room.
"Mm, I've never had food this good before," said Diana.
"I'm sure that the lunch lady would love to hear that," said Briar.
"Hey Di," said Martin as he walked up to their table.
"What are you up to, Martin Mystery?" saked Diana who did not trust her stepbrother's friendly smile.
"Oh, come on, I just wanted to see how you slept last night," said Martin while holding his hands up out of defense.
"Whoa, is that big foot?" he asked while pointing at a window. When the girls turned to look at the window, he quickly pulled a vial out of his pocket and poured something onto Diana's plate.
"There's nothing there," said Apple as they all turned back around right as he had put the vial away.
"Sorry, must be nervous, a monster could attack whenever," said Martin.
"Guess that makes sense," said Diana before taking a bite of her food. The next thing she knew, both Apple and Briar let out a gasp.
"What?" asked Diana while looking at the two of them with a confused expression.
"You… you need to see this for yourself," said Briar as she pulled a small mirror out of her bag.
"Martin Mystery!" screamed Diana as she noticed that her reflection had pink hair. The entire castelteria then stopped what they were doing and fell silent while staring over at them
"Hahaha, that potion was the best, Kitty!" said Martin through his laughter.
"You're welcome," said Kitty with a big grin before vanishing from sight.
"I can't believe you would do this after that whole bald incident I went through," said Diana.
"Oh, come on, the effect will wear off in a few days and it's not that extreme," said Martin. Before Diana could say another word, they heard a roar coming from outside.
"Sounds like our second monster is here!" said Martin before running out of the room with Java behind him.
"Some days I don't even know why I… gah," said Diana before heading after them.
