A few minutes later, Martin and Raven were approaching the maze with the minotaur on their hills and everyone else right behind it but out of eyesight.
"Here, you only get one shot though," said Raven as she handed Martin something.
"That's all I need, now get out of here so I can finish this up," said Martin. Raven then used a spell to make herself vanish, leaving Martin to be the only one the creature could see.
"Come on ugly, keep up!" said Martin as he entered the maze with the monster behind him.
"Are you sure this is alright?" asked Apple as she and the other stopped chasing right outside the maze with Raven reappearing with them.
"It was Martin's idea, I'm sure he's got a plan," said Diana as Raven closed the maze's entrance by using her magic to make the bushes grow over it. Inside the maze, Martin was leading the minotaur deeper and deeper inside.
"Alright, this is the third floor," said Martin as he rounded a corner and found it to be a dead end. The minotaur was moving so fast however that it couldn't make the turn and instead slammed into the corner.
"Now!" thought Martin as he turned to face the creature in time for it to pull it's horns free from the wall, but one had snapped off in the process. As Martin charged at the minotaur he dropped to slide through its legs as if running home in a baseball game.
"Return!" said Martin while grabbing the horn. He then vanished in a flash of purple light, which angered the minotaur even further. Outside the maze, Martin had appeared in the same light before everyone.
"Thanks for enchanting this on the fly like that, Raven," said Martin as he handed the witch a ring.
"Any time, but I never thought of making a ring that can return someone to the source of its magic," said Raven.
"Never do something like that again, Martin Mystery," said Diana as she hugged him.
"Sorry Di," said Martin as he hugged her back, which confused Java as the two normally didn't do things like that.
"Now then," said the Sphinx as it walked up.
"It's my turn," it said while sitting down.
