Hushed whispered could barely be made out as Vaggie and Kagome kept to themselves in the TV News Station. It was already too cramped to be there, but Kagome was dragged along so that she wouldn't be lonely at the Hotel. Whatever the fuck that meant. It was Vaggie's way of keeping her on a collar, but she didn't care. Not like she had been running around town or playing at the clubs much. She would go out occasionally to feed. But she was sure they didn't need the details to her nightly activities.
Angel was supposed to be stuck alongside her too, but that Slutty Spider slipped out early that morning. He mentioned something about a job and left without another word. If she was right, which she knew she was, Val sent him a job via text, and that's what he was dealing with now. In the last few weeks, she'd paid witness to a few interesting things in Hell, but so far, the most interesting had been last night. Something called the Cleanse. Demons everywhere closed their windows, locked their doors, stayed inside, and kept only those they considered worth their time around. Where had Kagome been during the cleanse?
"Fuuck! Val, more! More! AH! FUCK YEees~!"
Well...she hadn't been at the Hotel. Not until morning. By the time she arrived, everyone was starting to wake up, and Angel was heading out. The only good thing was, Vaggie and Charlie were too distracted with whatever interview Charlie had today to notice or care about her whereabouts. Alas, here she was, listening to Vaggie voice her soft-spoken worries and woes.
Turning her attention to the news, she watched from the sidelines as Cherri, and some guy named Sir Pentious went head to head with bombs and machine warfare. It was quite colorful and, of course, destructive. It always was where Cherri was concerned.
"Hey, Vaggie, it looks like Charlie is next." Kagome looked pointedly at the bored-looking demon holding the Stations schedule; his eyes were shooting down at the clipboard and then over to Charlie. Charlie, the sweet, naive, oddly-optimistic little duck that she was, was also wracked with nerves as she read over whatever script she had prepared. "What is this interview for, again?"
"I already told you, it's to bring awareness to the number of Demon deaths that take place every year during the cleanse and to reduce overpopulation by rehabilitating demons and helping them get into heaven."
Kagome thought back to countless conversations before she shook her head, "no, I'm pretty sure you haven't told me anything about an interview."
"It was either you or Angel,"
"Ah, must have been Angel."
Raising her hands, Kagome shook her head, "sorry, I must have closed our telepathic link during that conversation."
Vaggie waved her off and walked over to give Charlie a boost of much-needed confidence.
Rolling her eyes, Kagome pulled out her cellphone. Compliments of Voxxie. She and the television demon had a lot in common and could easily talk to one another. Not like Angel and her, but the more friends, the better. The better. She was in Hell. Of course, she didn't think more potential enemies was a good thing, but it did help to have a common ground with select individuals.
Reading over a few texts, she didn't pay too much attention to Val's, as he was demanding her time. Rather, she skipped over that one and messaged Vox back concerning an invitation to a movie in one of the other rings of Hell. Who was she to turn down an invitation to sightsee some of Hell's better attractions?
-Are you watching the news?-
-Should I be?-
-Something interesting is about to happen, tune in. (smiling devil emoji)-
Watching Vaggie grab Charlie by the shoulders, she heaved a deep breath, "this is what my life comes down to. What I wouldn't do to change some of those life-altering choices." Walking over to the two, Kagome held her hand out to the Demon Princess, "milady, kindly get off the table." Charlie took her hand and stepped off the table, though the comment dripped sarcasm. "Seriously, standing on the snack table...I thought you were a Princess."
"Hehe, oops~."
"Charlie, no singing. Focus on what we're trying to achieve. Better lives for your people, say it with me."
"No more time for motivating, Charlie," Kagome nudged her out of Vaggie's hands, "get out there and...uh... give em' hell!"
Vaggie brought her hand down on the back of Kagome's head, bringing out a pounding sensation and a slight headache. "Idiot."
Rubbing her head, she narrowed her eyes at Vaggie before moving to the opposite side of the room to get a better view that didn't put her in arm's length of the demoness with whom had no sense of humor. Her eyes drawn to the vivacious and neck-cracking blonde who was sassing her Princess, not interested, she thought about sneaking away.
"And we're live!"
If there was a chance to leave, she'd lost it. The whole studio had hushed as the show returned to AIR.

'She sang. I can't believe she actually sang a song live on Hell's News...' Kagome was dying! Albeit, not physically, but she was bawling, crying her eyes out in laughter. Vaggie looked like she was going to wring her neck. Oh, blessed premeditated positioning. The two tiny goat demons that followed Charlie around hovered in the background as everyone laughed at their Princess. Waiting for the go-ahead to attack anyone who may pose a threat to her. Hell, they'd joined her singing. In Kagome's book, they were just as much to blame for whatever backlash they received.
Glancing around, Kagome took notice of a tall demon dressed in a red suit, familiar. Very familiar.
"What in the nine circles makes you think that a single denizen of Hell would give two SHITS about becoming a better person!? You have no proof that this little experiment even works! You want people to be good, just because?!"
"Well, we have a patron already who believes in our cause, and he's shown incredible progress!"
"Oh? And who might that be?"
Shaking her head, Kagome could only think of how this would end. Turning away, she headed over to the snack table for a drink.
"Oh, just someone named...Angel Dust."
"The Porn star?!"
"You fucking would, Tom."
Grabbing her drink, she made way to a dark shadowed spot in the back and patiently waited for the interview to go to Hell. Of course, she imagined it wouldn't take much longer. OH! There it is. In breaking news! Angel Dust has joined the fight with Cherri Bomb against Sir Pentious, yes! 'I do believe that will shake things up!'
It did. Kagome saw a side of Charlie didn't know could ever exist. ALTHOUGH...in hindsight, it made more sense. She was supposedly the daughter of Lucifer, so unless she was just born with all of Lucifer's divine and angelic energy, this goody-two shoe act made absolutely no sense. At this point, Kagome didn't know what to watch. The turf war on TV or the BITCH FIGHT that was currently taking place on the news anchor's desk. Oh, it was fantastic! Then there was Tom, who was currently on fire...yeah... Watching him run by her, she tossed her juice out and watched it splash him across the face. "Stop, Drop and Roll, babe."

"Where the fuck is he?!" Vaggie yelled out as she looked for Angel from the inside of Charlie's limo. She turned her glare on Kagome, who hadn't said anything since the fiasco on set. "Call your roommate!"
Raising a brow, her tail flicked dangerously out before tapping the glass that separated them from the driver. The window rolled down, "take us downtown around to the Satanic Liquor and Toys shop." Her eyes never once left the screen of her phone as she schemed through a few texts.
"Of course, he'd be there." As the driver stopped, Kagome hopped out, "I don't know where Angel is, but neither do I plan to sit around and take your verbal assault all because your girlfriend fucked up her interview." Slamming the door shut with her tail, she walked off to where another vehicle was waiting, "my hero."
"Haha, bad day? I thought it would have been the opposite, considering that shitfest I saw on the news. Seriously, your landlord is one ballsy braindead bitch."
"You won't catch me saying otherwise. I did enjoy the front row seats to chaos, though. So," waving her hand about, "what show are we going to see, and how do we get there?"
"Well, Val's going with us."
She mentally growled, "Vox,"
"Don't give me that. He's been hounding me to get a hold of you, said you were giving him the cold shoulder?"
"I wasn't giving him the cold shoulder. I mean, fuck... he had me screaming out his name all night last night. What's one day without him banging me? I don't mind a wonton pet, but mama needs to rest too."
"You're a succubus, though, right?"
"You assume I don't need sleep?"
Blushing, Vox shook his head, "no, no, I was merely, no, never mind." He cleared his throat, Kagome laughing at his obvious discomfort and annoyance. His car pulled up slowly to the always loud porn studio. The door opened to reveal two people. One who she knew quite well, and another, she'd never met before. "Oh, what a fortuitous occasion, Velvet, meet Kas. Kas, this is Velvet."
"Oh! How exciting! I finally get to meet the girl both Voxxie and Val turned me down for during the fucking Cleanse!"
Scooting over to make room for the girl, Kagome pretended she didn't hear the danger veiled in Velvet's words. Besides, she wasn't the one who dropped her. She was just the cause. "What a treat. I was worried it would be little ol' me and an abundance of male testosterone for the rest of the evening."
"HAHAHA! Oh goodness, they can be a bit much! Oh, your hair looks sooo soft! Can I touch it!?"
"Sure, though, it's nothing compared to yours."
"You're too much! SMILE!"
Kagome was pulled close into a side hug, Velvets phone up and in front of her. She slipped her tongue out and turned, trailing it playfully along the outer shell of her ear. The light flashed, and Velvet grinned widely as she pulled away and looked at the photo.
"Val,"
"Kas,"
"..."
"..."
For a moment, Kagome genuinely thought it would have been better for her to go home with Vaggie and Charlie, despite the nagging she would have had to deal with. Her fault or not.

Me: Here is chapter six of Love, Lust, and Blood! I won't go into too much detail concerning Kagome's time spent with Val, Vox, and now...Velvet, but just know, she can handle herself with the three tyrants.
