Thank you for all your reviews! I appreciate it.

The next morning, Jack was walking down the school hallway, looking for Demetri. He needed to talk to him before school started. Luckily, Demetri always shows up to school really early.

He finally spotted him sitting on the stair steps, reading a book. He quickly walked up to him and tapped him on the shoulder.

"I need to talk to you." Jack whispered to him, voice urgent.

Demetri's head whipped up so fast, Jack half expected to hear his neck crack.

"Jack, what are you doing here so early?" The teenager asked, puzzled, but also happy to see his friend.

Jack ran a hand down his face, "I've got a problem. Cobra Kai confronted me yesterday at the skate park"

"What?!" Demetri hissed, his jaw dropping wide open.

Jack blew out his cheeks, and sat down next to the nerdy teenager. "Yup, it was Hawk, Tory and Kyler" He said, rubbing the backside of his hand.

"What happened? What did they want?" Demetri asked him, his grip tightening on his book.

"They want me to join Cobra Kai." Jack confessed, running a hand through his hair. His interaction with the trio yesterday affected him more than he'd like to admit. If he didn't join their dojo they'd surely take it the wrong way and target him for god knows how long.

Demetri's eyes widened in shock and fear? Jack blinked, and looked at the teenager in bewilderment. Why did he look so scared?

"You aren't gonna join them, are you?" Demetri asked him, voice small.

Jack's eyes widened.

"No! Of course not. That's why I came here to talk to you. I know once I reject their offer they won't take it well" Jack explained, shoulders sinking

Demetri opened his mouth to say something, but Jack continued before he could.

"I mean don't get me wrong, I'm really good at fighting and I'd be able to defend myself, I am a Karate prodigy for gods sake. But even I'm not undeafatable. How could I possibly take on a whole dojo all by myself, and even if I was somehow able to, it sounds so exhausting." Jack rambled and threw his hands in the air in frustration.

Demetri nodded in understanding, they both sat there in silence. Jack was lost in his thoughts and Demetri was thinking. A slow smile spread over his face. Jack frowned

"Are you smiling?" He asked, voice deadpan.

Demetri nodded rapidly, grinning now, "I got an idea. What if you joined my dojo, you could easily get in and you'd always have backup, in case you need it"

Jack raised an eyebrow, "Miyagi Do? But wouldn't that cause you guys problems, you know with Cobra Kai?"

Demetri shook his head, "It doesn't matter, it's not like they don't already mess with us."

Jack looked skeptical, "You sure?"

Demetri nodded, face serious. Jack hummed in thought.

"Okay, that could work. I'm not making any promises though" Jack warned, before continuing, "First, I wanna see what'll happen if I refuse, maybe they'll just respect my decision and leave me alone"

Demetri burst out laughing, "Good luck with that."

Jack tried to glare at him, but couldn't help but also laugh, as he too realized the ridiculousness in it.

Oh god, what have I gotten myself into. He thought, rubbing his temples.

oOo

Jack was sitting in his last class of the day. He was tapping his foot as he waited for the bell to ring. He waited another few minutes when the bell finally rung, signalling the end of the school day. He bolted out of his seat and walked out of the classroom.

He made his way downstairs and started walking toward the double doors that led outside. So far he hasn't seen any of the Cobra students. If he could just make it outside before they see him. Of course he knew that he couldn't just avoid them forever, but it would at least give him more time to think of a better plan.

Just as he was getting closer to the doors he heard someone call out his name sharply. He stopped in his tracks and turned around, only to see Hawk, Kyler and some guy he has never seen before walk towards him. Yup it's official, the universe hated him. He watched the random guy block his exit while the other two surrounded him from both sides.

He lifted his head and slid his hands in his pockets. Perfect picture of calm and nonchalant, as the guy he's never seen before stepped closer to him, lips set in a hard line.

"Time's up, are you joining or not?" The guy asked him, eyes squinted. Jack saw that most students had stopped doing what they were doing and were now watching them.

"Who are you?" Jack questioned, raising an eyebrow.

"Robby. Now answer the question." Robby responded, looking him in the eye. No one dared to move in the hallway, not even the football team. Cobra Kai were known as bullies and no one dared to mess with them.

Jack bit the inside of his cheek. He could stall for more time but what was the point. Might aswell just rip the band aid off and get it over with.

"No, I'm not" Jack responded firmly. His muscles tightened as he prepared himself for a fight.

Robby pressed his lips together. The tension was so thick someone could have cut it with a knife. Then Jack noticed Robby shift his foot slightly and nod at Kyler, and from the corner of his eye he saw Kyler throw a punch straight at his head, he ducked just in time and got into a fighting stance.

"Jack!" The teenager heard someone yell his name, he snapped his head to where the sound came from and smiled in relief. It was Demetri, he was running towards them with a brunette girl following him.

He saw the girl run at Hawk, and Demetri started fighting Kyler. That left him with Robby.

The two watched each other, daring the other one to make a move. Robby made the first move. He charged at Jack and swung his right fist at him.

Jack grabbed his fist and punched him in the stomach making the other teen stumble back. Jack tried to kick him in the face, but Robby blocked the kick with his forearm.

Robby swung his arm at his face. Jack grabbed his arm and threw him against a wall with all his strength, hoping to knock him out or at least to slow him down, but to his surprise the other teen used the momentum and jumped off the wall effortlessly

Suddenly, Robby started sprinting at Jack and the teen barely had the time to dodge, he dove to the right but Robby was already following him, pulling back his arm and swinging. The punch hit Jack's stomach, knocking the air out of him. He reeled back for a few seconds and Robby took the chance to swing again, but Jack managed to put his arms up just in time and blocked the punch before delivering his own.

They started trading blows and fought like that for a while. Jack was worried about Demetri and the girl, but he didn't dare look. Robby was better than he had thought.

Demetri was doing pretty good. He was able to block most of Kyler's attacks, and managed to deliver a few of his own. Kyler's defence was terrible. He kept blocking Kyler's punches, waiting for the right moment to strike. Just like Sensei Larusso had taught him.

Few minutes in, he saw a perfect opportunity, Kyler wasn't protecting his stomach area. Quickly taking advantage of this, Demetri swung low and hit Kyler in the stomach twice, making him stagger. Demetri didn't give him a chance to recover, he grabbed the other teen's arm and flipped him onto the floor, hard. Kyler stayed down.

He quickly looked around and saw that Sam had managed to flip Hawk aswell. The only ones left were Jack and Robby, he watched anxiously as they fought, Jack seemed to have the upperhand.

Jack was growing tired, where the hell were the teachers? Wanting to finish the fight quickly, he got on offense and started throwing punches left and right in an attempt to break Robby's defence.

Finally, he saw an opening and took it.

He sweeped down low and kicked Robby's legs from under him, making the other teen fall down. His back made contact with the cold, hard floor. Robby groaned and rubbed his back.

Jack expected him to stay down but surprisingly, Robby got up, albeit with some difficulty, and prepared to attack again. But he stopped in his tracks as soon as he saw Sam and Demetri standing next to Jack.

Jack saw the brunette girl shake his head at Robby sadly.

"You lost. Give it up, Robby" Sam said, and motioned towards his friends who were laying down on the floor. Hawk had gotten up but was still clutching his side in slight pain. Kyler was sitting against a wall holding both his sides.

"Fine" Robby growled and walked out of the building, the other two following him out, but not before sending Jack a glare.

The crowd was quiet for a moment before exploding into cheers. The three jumped, having completely forgotten that there was a crowd here in first place.

The adrenaline was flowing through their veins as they stood there. Jack glanced around the hallway, and looked at Sam and Demetri. "We should probably leave before the teachers get here." He suggested.

Sam nodded at him, a small smile on her face and they walked out of the school building. Jack bit his lip and for the second time that day thought,

What have I gotten myself into.
