(Last Time)

"Good, you come with me; with two of us flying around it should make the search easier," Harry said as he flew up, his sharp eyes moving from street to street as he tried to find where the girl had run off too.

Raven nodded as she understood his logic, rising further into the air she too began to search for signs of where the orange-skinned girl could have run.

Glaring up as he saw Harry move further and further away, Robin turned his attention to the other two. Come on then, we have a city to defend. Both Cyborg and Beast Boy nodded in agreement as they followed Batman's sidekick as he ran in the direction the aliens were headed.

Chapter 3

(- )

(With Harry)

Using the advantage of flight and the bird's eye view it gave him of the sprawling city below, it didn't take them as long as he originally thought it would to find the rogue, rampaging alien girl.

It was pretty easy. After all, all they had to do was follow the path of destruction from where they had last seen her, to where she was now; a small supermarket barely three city blocks from where they had started.

Flying into the store, with Raven following along behind him, Harry's eyes narrowed slightly as he once again caught sight of the orange-skinned girl, even as she continued ransacking the store, apparently oblivious to their presence.

"Huh, well I'm gonna hazard a guess, and say you're a little bit hungry?" Harry said, a slightly bemused expression on his face, as he drifted to the ground, Raven following along silently behind him.

The girl looked up at him in response, a prominent glare on her exquisite features as she dropped the chocolate she was currently chowing down on, and instead turned to face him, both of her hands were already covered in glowing energy as she seemingly prepared to either attack or defend herself depending on what he did next.

"Now is that any way to greet your new friends?" Harry said warmly, his gaze lingering momentarily on the dangerous energy that coated her clenched fists, before with a smile he put his hands up in the air, once again hoping to show her that he meant no harm.

Unfortunately, judging by the hostile and suspicious glare she was giving him, he could only assume that what he considered to be the international gesture for 'don't shoot', was not an intergalactic sign. That, or she was just a good judge of character.

"Friends? Why? For what purpose did you free me?!" The girl demanded, her eyes narrowing, and the energy around her fists flaring.

In response, Harry scratched the back of his head in an idle, instinctive gesture, his mind whirling as he tried to think up the best way to respond. He wasn't the best with people, or at least not with people he deemed as possible equals.

"You were scared and by yourself, he freed you because it was the right thing to do" Raven suddenly spoke up for him, her voice void of emotion as she looked at the girl. "The aliens attacking the city mentioned a prisoner, are you that prisoner?"

Harry looked over at Raven. He was slightly surprised that she had been so direct and upfront.

From what little he had seen and worked out about her, he had assumed that she was basically a gothic introvert. She definitely had a bit of the Goth vibe going on, what with the general gloomy attitude she seemed to have. That, and he had noticed the fact she had purple hair, dark eye shadow, and the pale, almost grey skin tone. On top of which she wore a black one-piece, and purple, hooded cloak.

Apparently though, his assumption was wrong.

Sure, she was still monotone and had an emotionless outer façade, but beneath that there seemed to be a lot more going on than he first thought, there was a sparkle in her eyes that he had missed in their first interaction.

He kind of liked that, it made her interesting, and he liked interesting people.

"No..., not a prisoner…, I am their prize. I was given to them, no, sold to them by my people, handed over as a tribute, the price of peace. The Gordanians, they were to deliver me to their citadel, and I was to live out my days as their… servant... their spoil of war, their plaything" The girl said, her brow furrowed and her glowing green eyes angry and intense as she seemed to struggle with translating what she wanted to say, into English.

Harry's expression darkened considerably in response to her words, his mind instinctively digging up unpleasant memories that he had tried to bury. He had experienced being a domestic servant himself, forced to do the bidding of others simply because they commanded him to.

And considering the connotations of what she was saying, or of what she was not saying for that matter. He could very easily imagine that the treatment she would have received at the hands of these Gordanians would be considerably worse than the treatment he had ever received at the hands of the Dursleys.

He wouldn't wish that kind of thing on anyone, not even his enemies. In fact, he would very vehemently, and violently, oppose anyone that tried to steal another person's independence. The mere thought of such a thing disgusted him to his core, it was repugnant.

He knew he was not a conventionally decent person; he lied, he cheated, he stole, and he manipulated others, but even so, he had a code. He had a line that he would never cross, nor one that he would let others cross if he could help it.

Glancing sideways, some of his anger must have leaked through to the surface, as he could see Raven giving him a surprised, almost nervous, look.

"Well, that just won't do, will it," Harry said with forced calm, even as his hands fell to his sides. Before a few moments later, they curled into fists as he reigned in his temper. "No one hurts a friend of mine and gets away with it."

The girl looked startled at that, probably both by the tone he used when speaking up in her defence, and also, he imagined, at his presumption of calling them friends.

Though he wasn't sure why, after all, as far as he was concerned anyone who kissed him like she had, deserved to be called a friend.

Before either Raven or the girl could say anything in response to his statement, the trio were distracted by an explosion tearing up the street outside.

Reacting in an instant, Harry's gaze flickered to the side, before a few moments later he raised his hand; a crackling, misty dome-like shield of green energy forming around the three of them, even as the wall to the store suddenly exploded, showering the room in rubble. All of which bounced harmlessly off Harry's solidified shield of psychic energy.

As the dust from the explosion dispersed, it revealed a group of the invading Gordanians.

There was a dozen of them in total.

Looking them up and down, Harry noticed that they were all squat, ugly, armed and armoured brutes, with an eclectic mix of horns, spikes and fins protruding from their armour.

As offensive as it might be to them. In his opinion, they all looked the same. They just looked like the nameless, evil NPCs that were common in some of the sci-fi, shoot'em up games he occasionally played in the arcade.

Narrowing his eyes and taking to the air, one of his hands splayed out to the side of him to keep him aloft, he ignored the way both Raven and the orange girl reacted, as he instead watched the liens physically push and force their way into the shop, their reptilian eyes locked on the orange-skinned girl.

Glancing over at the two girls at his side, Harry flexed the fingers on his hands in readiness, a grim look on his face as he came to a decision on what he was going to do next.

Normally, he tended to avoid unnecessary conflict with supernatural or powered individuals, after all, they were often more trouble than they were worth.

Why bother throwing down with some dangerous villains, annoying wizards, or do-gooder heroes, when you could instead avoid them and save yourself the trouble and the attention thrashing them would get you.

But today was different, not only were these things aliens that were invading his planet, but they had attacked him, which was a big no-no in his book. Perhaps more importantly, however, they were also hunting the pretty alien girl that had given him an angry snog.

Yes, he had his priorities right.

They had pissed him off, and thus, he now needed to vent his spleen on the fuckers.

"As I said before you inbred, space hillbilly, fucks," Harry said, cracking his neck, even as several more of the aliens swarmed through the hole in the shop wall. "No one hurts a friend of mine..."

Taking his other hand out of his pocket, Harry flipped a fifty pence coin he had pulled out in his hand, the silver coin spinning lazily through the air, garnering the momentary attention of the Gordanians and the two girls at his side.

"... And lives." Harry continued theatrically, as he raised his free hand, now covered in wispy green energy, and stopped the fifty pence coin mid-spin, before with a flick of his finger he sent it shooting at the nearest Gordanian, like a bullet.

The glowing coin made a whistling sound as it was propelled so fast through the air, that it became little more than a blur of green and silver.

The first Gordanian only got the chance to widen his eyes before a fraction of a second later the coin struck him in the forehead, tearing through scaly skin, bone and brain matter as it then erupted from the other side, leaving the alien to collapse to the floor, dead.

The coin, however, didn't stop there, as Harry instead continued to control it like a conductor would an orchestra. The first two fingers of his right hand flicking backwards and forwards as he propelled it through the side of another Gordanian's head, before with another flick of his fingers, it struck another alien in the neck, tearing through what he imagined were the veins and arteries of the creature, as it then went on to collide with yet another Gordanian's chest, exploiting the small gaps in the carapace, as it then exploding out the other side of the alien in a spray of black blood and a gurgle of escaped air

Within the space of ten seconds, the coin tore through all twelve Gordanian's before shooting back to Harry, where it spun in the air and fell into his open palm with a wet 'splat'.

The silver coin was now stained black with Gordanian blood.

What followed next was a round of thuds as all twelve Gordanian's fell to the floor dead, most of them not even processing that they were dead before they collapsed to the floor lifeless, like puppets that had just had their strings cut.

"Well, shit..." Raven said blankly as she looked at Harry in surprise, from what he could see, she had been prepared to leap into combat to help the two-random people she had just met in fighting off the violent aliens. It was admirable in a way.

Instead of fighting, however, Harry had robbed her of a chance, as now all she could do was stare around in shock at what had just happened.

The orange-skinned girl meanwhile, nodded at Harry, there was an odd gleam in her green eyes, it was difficult to identify due to the glow, but he thought it might have been something approaching, respect, or maybe, interest?

He honestly wasn't sure.

Either way, unconsciously, he felt a surge of pride build up within him, even as she nodded her head approvingly at his actions. From what he could tell she, like Raven, had also been preparing to fight the Gordanian's with her new allies.

Turns out the two girls were both battle fanatics, who knew.

Smiling slightly, Harry glanced back at the dead bodies, his smiling dimming slightly as he took them in.

This was the first time he had ever consciously taken a life. Sure, he had hurt people before, at times even grievously so. But he had never willingly killed. Not even the Dursley's, as despite his anger, what had happened had been an accident and a non-fatal one at that from what he presumed. A cursory glance at some old, local newspapers from around that time, a few years back, more out of morbid curiosity than concern, had not had any reports of their deaths.

Just now however he had killed twelve other living beings, and he had done it deliberately.

He didn't feel bad, though. He felt more surprised by how easy it was to take a life. Likewise, he was also surprised, and maybe a little concerned, by his lack of guilt too.

Maybe it was because they had been violent invaders, attacking and hunting innocents, that he didn't feel bad about slaughtering them?

That, or it could have been because they posed a direct threat to himself, which could mean that he had unconsciously written their deaths off as self-defence?

Or maybe it was because they weren't human, and so it was difficult to empathize with them?

He honestly wasn't sure.

Either way, he was struggling to find any remorse or regret within him as he looked down at their fallen forms.

If anything, he felt satisfaction and vindication.

Which, in itself, was worrying enough.

Tearing his mind away from his treacherous inner thoughts, Harry forced a smile and glanced over at the other two.

"You know… we still don't know your name," Harry said as he met the alien girl's glowing green eyes with his own emerald ones, giving her a small smile as he did so.

"In your language, it would be Star… Fire," Starfire said with a smile on her lips. "And you are friend Harry, and this is…?"

"Raven," Raven said with a nod of her head.

"Well great, now we are all introduced. I do believe we have a city to save from a rampaging horde of aliens." Harry said with a smile, even as he slipped the coin in his hand back into his pocket, where the rest of his loose change was kept.

"Shall we?" He continued as he flew into the air, before twisting around to look at the other two, expectantly.

The alien girl was the one they were hunting, now she had a bit of support in the form of Raven and himself, he assumed it only natural that she would want some payback.

Starfire, as he expected, nodded her head before she flew up to join him in the air, a large smile on her face. "Yes, we shall, come friend Harry, friend Raven, let us fight the enemy."

Raven nodded her agreement, as she too flew into the air and joined them. Unlike Starfire, however, she didn't grin or smile. Instead, she glanced down at the dead aliens with an emotionless expression for a moment, before then looking out past the building, to the rest of the city. After which, her expression turned grim as the sounds of explosions and screams filtered in through the shop's broken windows, and the large hole in the wall.

The aliens by the sounds of things were running rampant, as they hunted for Starfire, and from what he could tell, they cared little for collateral damage.

"Let's be off then," Harry said mildly, once the two girls had joined him.

Before they could fly off, however, they were interrupted by the appearance of yet another massive hologram, this one showing the image of the same alien as last time, or at least it probably was, most of the aliens looked the same. With the alien in question now towering over the city, his gaze alit with anger and malice.

Looking down at the frightened citizens of Jump City the hologram began to speak, its voice booming out across the bay. "Fools, you earth scum were warned; your insolence will be punished. Your city shall be destroyed!"

Once the transmission ended, the hologram disappeared and with its departure came the arrival of the large, orange space ship that had previously just hovered above the city. Only now it was in motion, looming at a downwards angle, even as its cannons started to slowly charge in preparation for the bombardment, and eventual destruction of the city.

"Well, that doesn't sound good," Raven said emotionlessly, as she looked up at the massive ship. Her purple eyes remarkably showed none of the fear or despair that gripped the rest of the panicking city, as she instead calmly analysed the situation and came to the logical conclusion.

They were fucked.

"True" Harry agreed with a nod of his head before he scanned the horizon. "I thought this was why that Justice League thing was created, to deal with shit like this so we don't have to?"

"Fear not friends, for we shall fly up to the ship and slay the monsters within!" Starfire said enthusiastically, her eyes gleaming, even as she pumped one of her fists up into the air.

As battle speeches went, it may be a bit cheesy, but not completely awful.

Raven looked over at Starfire, her lips twitching slightly in the faintest signs of amusement, "I can teleport us in."

"Even better friend Raven, we can take them by surprise." Starfire grinned excitedly, her green eyes locked resolutely on the flying spaceship. There was an almost hungry expression on her face.

Harry looked over at the two of them, as he heard Raven's offer, a grin on his face. "Sounds good to me, plus it means less work for us. Do you reckon afterwards, you could give me a lift to Gotham? Because, you know, I'm running low on funds at the moment and from what I remember, that skeevy shithole is crime-ridden, there should be at least criminals around that I can rob.?

"I am not a taxi, you know?" Raven replied blankly.

"Did I say anything about riding you?" Harry replied before his lips quirked upwards slightly. "Yet?"

Raven's grey skin flushed slightly pink as she showed some emotion for the first time since Harry had met her. It wasn't exactly a positive emotion though, as she scowled at him with a mixture of annoyance and embarrassment.

"I too would like to ride friend Raven, it sounds like it could be… what is the word… fun?" Starfire spoke up, oblivious to the meaning behind her words as she enthusiastically spoke to her new friends.

"Yes, it certainly sounds fun," Harry replied with a slightly dopey grin on his face. He could already picture it now.

"Do you want me to help you, or not?" A red-faced Raven snapped out, as she looked away from the grinning Harry and Starfire.

The stoic girl looked a lot sexier when she was angry, Harry thought, not that he was about to vocalise that thought out loud, or at least not now. He at least liked to work out people's limits, before he pushed them to it.

Sending Harry one last sour look, Raven waved her hand through the air and chanted several words. "Azarath Metrion Zinthos"

In response to which a large, crackling purple and black portal formed across the wall directly opposite them.

"Sweet, so this is proper magic," Harry muttered to himself, a prominent grin on his face as he and Starfire both followed Raven through the portal, and into the alien's ship.

( - )

(Several minutes later)

"Okay, I will admit it, your teleportation thing is pretty damn cool," Harry said with a grin as he and Raven walked through the giant alien ship. He kind of wished he could teleport now. Then again, considering what little he knew about his power, maybe he could. He apparently wielded a mutated, bastardized form of magic, if the wizards back home could do it, then why couldn't he?

It was food for thought.

In response, Raven shot him the slightest smile, before she pulled her hood more firmly over her head, hiding her face from him as she instead looked ahead.

Harry considered that a win, considering only a few minutes ago she looked set to blast him through a wall.

"Yes, it was very good." Starfire agreed as she floated alongside the two of them, her eyes practically sparkling with excitement. Before, a few moments later, her eyes narrowed as she turned on the spot and started throwing orbs of green energy from her hands, bombarding half a dozen Gordanian's that had been trying to sneak up to them.

The Gordanians did not last long under her onslaught, within a minute they were all on the ground either unconscious or dead.

"Impressive" Harry said as he twisted around to watch her work. Her battle awareness and senses were far more attuned to conflict and battle than his own.

Starfire sent him a bright smile in response, her expression flicking between excitement and expectation, as she then cocked a hip and looked at him expectantly.

"But I can do better!" Harry continued, his lips quirking upwards into a savage smile.

Raising his hand into the air as he heard the thudding of feet from around the corner, Harry raised his hand, swirling them through the air as he created and manipulated his wispy green energy, his expression still easy going.

Until, as a half dozen of Gordianian's rounded the corner, their weapons already charged and set to fire, he unleashed a solid green arc of energy from his hands, bisecting all six of the aliens at the waist with a spray of blood. With the arc continuing past the now crumpled forms of the aliens, the arc widened as it carved through several walls before it finally tore through the hull of the ship and dispersed.

A gust of cold, blustery wind and stench of the alien's tar-like blood filled the corridor, as he smirked and turned to look at Starfire.

Once again, he didn't feel a shred of guilt.

"Yes, very good!" Starfire said as she patted Harry on the shoulder, a warm smile on her face. Apparently, some cathartic violence was just what she needed to make her unwind. "Though, I am thinking slightly too dramatic."

"It is all about the presentation, Starfire. Any thug can fight, but a true artist fights and makes it look good at the same time." Harry said with a grin, his mood brightening as he saw just how eager and friendly Starfire now seemed.

The about-turn from the hostile, angry alien girl he had been trying to talk down twenty minutes ago, to the charming, flirting alien girl now in front of him was fascinating to see. It appeared that there was more alien about the girl than just her exotic, enchanting appearance.

"Don't you think killing them is going overboard?" Raven asked as she sent blasts of dark energy out of her hands, tearing apart a metal door that stood in their way as they left the site of Harry and Starfire's massacres, and continued their journey to the control room. Or at least to where Starfire thought it would be.

"They have several massive alien death cannons that they are charging up to destroy a city, a city filled with innocent men, women and children…" Harry said blankly. "I think what we are doing is more than reasonable."

He was new to this whole killing thing. But still, he assumed killing some genocidal alien maniacs in defense of an entire city of innocent people, was pretty reasonable. As far as ethics go, he was pretty sure both Starfire and himself were in the right in this situation.

Legally, he was not so sure.

Then again, he wasn't a lawyer, he might be a thief and now a killer, but he wasn't that morally bankrupt.

"Yes, the Gordanians are a cruel race and deserve nothing less," Starfire added on resolutely, her expression hardening slightly. "They kill, murder and plunder. On my planet, they are called 'Bakor Zinda Shakas'. In your language, there is no straight translation, but I think baby-eating, killer, death monsters, is as close as I can get…"

"Okay, I was just asking, it is not like it really bothers me," Raven replied, her eyes widening slightly at Starfire's vehement response before she shrugged and carried on following behind them.

And, from what Harry could see, she had told the truth, as she raised no more objections, or even batted an eye, as both he and Starfire continued to rapidly pick off any alien that got in their way.

Either through Starfire throwing her orbs of energy and blasting their heads off, or blowing holes in their armour. That, or she just used her monstrous strength to tear them apart.

Or, by Harry slashing or ripping anything that got in their way apart with his telekinesis. That, or he killed them by telekinetically impaling them with surrounding debris. Though at one point he did change things up by releasing some misty energy from his palms and forcing a small group of aliens to see their worst nightmares, which in turn led to them slaughtering each other, even as the three of them skirted around the outside of the bloodbath.

Soon enough they found themselves in the control room, all three of them were without a scratch as Harry destroyed a foot-thick metal door with just a flick of his finger. The remnants of the door rained down on those insides, even as several fragments were completely disintegrated in mid-air by the green energy Harry used.

"Who dares to defy the mighty, Trogan!" The now named Trogan, the alien from the hologram, bellowed as he stood in the middle of the control room, a glare on his face as he and his eight guards faced off against the three teens before them.

From beside him, Harry could hear Starfire growl.

She seemed pissed off.

"See ya," Harry replied before he clicked his fingers, his eyes glowing backlit with green light as he used his powers, and unleashed another, slightly smaller arc of energy.

With a roar, Trogan lunged to the side, dodging the crescent-shaped arc of energy. Only for his head to then explode in a shower of black blood as his lunge took him directly into the path of Starfire's superpowered punch.

"Gross," Harry muttered as he flicked several pieces of stinking black viscera off of his coat, before moments later unleashing another blast of energy, this blast completely tearing apart the eight Gordanian's in a particularly gory fashion.

"Has anyone ever told you, you are slightly overpowered?" Raven asked, as she looked from the grizzly sight in front of her and instead looked over to Harry.

Harry shrugged in response, his gaze moving from Starfire, who he could see was now stamping on the deceased Trogan's corpse, to the control panels in the room, which were even now sparking and smoking following the backlash of his attack. "Not really, considering some of the shit you hear about on the news. Besides, who cares if I am overpowered, I just like having a good time."

The sound of the console exploding cut off Raven's response.

"Huh, I'm thinking we should maybe go now," Harry said idly, as he created yet another dome-like shield to protect the two of them from the fire and shrapnel.

"Yes, I think that would be sensible." Raven nodded as another explosion tore through the ship. "I think in the future you may want to tone down your power."

"Maybe, but where's the fun in that?" Harry replied with a cocky smile, before looking over at the victorious Starfire. "Hey Starfire, we're going to head off. Do you want to come with us?"

Looking around at the carnage around her, Starfire grinned and nodded.

( - )

(Sometime Later)

"I take it the city is safe?" Harry said as he, Raven and Starfire descended to the ground. Far above them, black smoke continued to pour out of the now listing spaceship, intermittent explosions still ringing out, even as the remaining invading aliens flocked back to their mothership.

"Yeah, it looks like most of the aliens are retreating to their ship, even as we speak. The ones that didn't though, we captured them and will transfer them to the proper authorities later." Robin replied, a satisfied smirk on his face as he puffed out his chest and looked around at them.

It was like the brat was expecting them to all start praising him.

"Where they will no doubt be dissected and killed," Harry replied cynically, as he looked over to the other two, Cyborg and Beast Boy. "How are you two doing?"

"Good man, it was a pretty decent scrap," Cyborg replied with a shrug. "What about you, I take it you were the ones that stopped the cannon charging up?"

"Yeah, we infiltrated the ship and stopped the cannon from firing," Harry replied with a nonchalant shrug. "Starfire over there took out the big boss, and Raven and I just cleaned up after her."

"Nice one!" Cyborg grinned, sending Starfire a thumbs up.

In response, she grinned back and mimicked his actions, sending her own thumbs up back at him. "Yes, the one we had was nice."

"So, what happens to the ship now?" Raven queried as looked up at the listing ship. "Harry did a bit of a number on it. Most of the control room was wrecked, and from the looks of it, whatever technology it was using to stay in the air is failing…"

"Okay, first thing, rude," Harry said, pointing at Raven. In response, she smirked. "It was collateral damage, if anything it was their fault for dodging. Secondly, I've no idea. I don't know the whole procedure with alien invasions. This is my first time, I'm a bit of an alien invasion virgin, you know."

"Gross," Raven replied.

Beast Boy tried and failed to hold back a snort of laughter.

Oblivious to a joke, Robin shook his head. "This has happened before. The US has a law that states that all alien artefacts that land or fall within the United States, its waters or its airspace, belong wholly and completely to the United States of America and its government. This alien spacecraft, and everything on it, belongs to the Ministry of Defence and the government."

"Oh," Harry said, his brow furrowing in consternation. "Well, that's not cool."

With that said, his eyes now glowing a solid green colour, Harry on his power, wispy green energy rolling off his form, even as he dug deep and drew on the seemingly endless well of power he had within him.

With a grunt, Harry swirled his hands in a circle around one another, manipulating the energy and giving it form.

Ignoring the looks of askance from those around him, and Robin's sudden widening eyes as he clocked on to just what he was up to.

"Wait, what are you doing?" Robin shouted, moving to stop him.

He didn't get the chance.

Harry whipped both hands and unleashed a wall of swirling green energy at the ship.

The energy erupted forth from him in a torrent and crossed the distance between him and the ship in seconds before with an explosion it hit the ship head-on. The force of the blast sent the ship hurling up into the sky, bits and pieces of it falling off it as the smoke trail it left behind was dispersed by the wall of energy.

Moments after it hit, Harry flexed both of his hands and then thrust them out from his body in a single violent gesture.

In response, the ship exploded in a cataclysmic ball of fire.

Lowering his hands, and cracking his neck, Harry looked over at the others. "Now there's no ship at all. Probably for the best. I mean, can you imagine the mischief some irresponsible person could get up to with alien tech?"

"Very impressive!" Starfire said as she clapped her hands together excitedly.

"Dude! That was awesome!" Beast Boy cheered as he gazed at Harry with stars in his eyes.

"You couldn't have done that from the start?" Raven asked in a resigned tone.

Harry shrugged in response. "I was not sure how powerful that cannon they were charging up was, if I had done that, and it had gone off then it might have been too powerful for my psychokinetic wall to contain. Besides, considering the damage we'd already done, it really wasn't that difficult to overload and explode the fucker."

Raven looked thoughtful about his words for a moment, before a few moments later she nodded, seeing his logic.

Robin however had a different opinion entirely, as he instead stormed up to Harry and grabbed the front of his jacket and shook him. "What were you thinking!? There were people in there, and you killed them! Heroes never kill, I don't care who you think you are, but that is a fact!"

"They had a warship and had already threatened to wipe out the city," Harry said, waving the annoying Boy Wonder off, even as he easily broke the boy's grip on his coat with his enhanced strength and pushed him back a few steps. "Besides, as I said before, if I had left it, your government would have just taken the ship and weaponised whatever technology they could scavenge. I wouldn't even trust your government to run a bath, let alone take control of some potentially world-ending alien tech. This way, the alien ship is collateral damage, and no one gets their hands on it."

"That was not your call to make!" Robin replied angrily.

"Then whose call was it. Those who have power; i.e. people like me, Raven, Beast Boy, Starfire and Cyborg, sometimes have to make difficult choices, ones that others don't have to. When you grow up a bit more and see the world for what it really is, you will understand." Harry replied. He had very little patience for people like Robin. He hated those who enjoyed preaching and parroting ideals that others had forced on them. They had no real thoughts or opinions of their own, they were just empty mimics.

Cyborg and Beast Boy looked slightly uncomfortable with what Harry had said, but neither of them denied it or corrected him.

Raven, meanwhile, looked like she couldn't care in the slightest; in fact, she had taken a step forward, so she was standing shoulder to shoulder with Harry.

Starfire also did not look that bothered; instead, the rumbling of her stomach showed that instead of feeling angry or guilty, she was instead just hungry. "Hello friends, I am hungry. Can we go and do the eating?"

Harry shrugged at that as he turned away from the scowling Robin and instead met Starfire's excited green eyes with his own calm emerald ones. "Yeah sure, how about some Shawarma?"

AN: So what did you think?

Have to say I was a little disappointed that no one clocked onto just what his powerset is. I thought I had been a bit obvious, but apparently not. That said it is only based on that powerset, I have ideas in mind for how to adapt it to fit in the DC and HP world, and it'll be a doozy! I will say however, that it involves primordial elements.

Either way I am looking forward to writing more of this. Hopefully you enjoyed reading it, or continue to do so. If not then please tell what you didn't like, or what you thought could have been done better? Please leave a review, comment etc. If you have any questions or suggestions feel free to PM me.

Also I am on a discord with a load of other writers, so if you fancy popping over to ask questions or offer suggestions about this story, or any of my other ones, or to find new authors you might not have come across yet, please feel free to use the link in my bio.

Thanks for reading, and I'll see you later.

Have a very merry Christmas for those that celebrate it, and a happy New Year!
