Just another 2x07 fix-it, like everyone seems to be writing. Jon was less than a second from tears when his dad left the room after lecturing him about the drugs. What if Clark had stuck around for just a few more seconds?

Seven year old Jon and Jordan get in trouble for roughhousing, but Jordan starts having a panic attack. Jon gets an idea for how to protect his brother, but for some reason, his dad doesn't like it.

Every time Jordan closed his eyes, he could hear Jon's bones snapping, see the agony on his face. Feel it in his own knuckles. Dad must have known that that feeling was worse than any grounding. Maybe that was why he had let things go.

Pre-series. The twins are in middle school. Jordan gets bullied, again, and Jon looks after him.

While home alone, the Kent brother's hear the latest no. one gossip in Smallville. While heading out to figure out more and limit the possible damage for thier family, both boys learn more about the town and about themself than they ever expected.

Why is Superman evil? Why does Captain Luthor know that where Lois Lane is Superman is close by? What was the depth of Lois' relationship with the other Superman and Luthor? This fic explores the beginnings of this elseworld and these yet unanswered questions before switching back to the show's timeline where a desperate Luthor kidnaps Lois after finding out Clark's identity.
