There was a third hobbit on Mt. Doom that day. But no one likes to talk about that, now do they, precious? (AU. Gollum made a different choice at Cirith Ungol. And, awkwardly enough, he's not dead, somehow, so, uh, now what? Book canon. Not very compatible with the movies.)

As an Elleth trying to help save Middle Earth, I was far too busy to be looking for romance. Despite this, I ended up finding it with someone I would never have expected. A tale of a Ranger and an Elleth finding love despite all the challenges they will face. (Candaith/OC), Elrohir, Elladan. Crosses over with the game "Lord of the Rings Online", but stands well on its own.

The story Aragorn did not tell at the Council of Elrond regarding his search and eventual capture of Gollum. Contains some of our favourite elves, men, and orcs, and maybe even some newcomers. Aragorn, as always, gets a beating.

Not to long before the War of the Ring, a Ranger acquires some spending money in the Bree-land, and a hobbit-woman does him a favor. I'll be grateful for any comments.

However, since I just finished a prequel to it (A Red Sun Rises), I am currently rewriting all chapters to merge the two stories, with a little bit more emphasis on the minor characters and OCs. An elven woman is found, she cannot remember her name or where she is from. Or any basic facts about herself for that matter except for some bits and pieces of old traditions. Through some kind of curse, she also happens to have a mental connection to Sauron. She ends up joining along with the Fellowship, making new friends (and loves) along the way.
