This wasn't the weirdest situation Wirt had ever been in, but it was perhaps the one he had been thrust into with the least dignity. (In which the circumstances of a second fall into the Unknown demand a little flexibility vis-à-vis gender presentation. Featuring: a wish on a star; organized crime; a lavish wedding; and several very pretty dresses.)

Wirt blew out the Lantern, but took the place of the Beast to keep a balance. Now trapped in the Unknown, he faces the realization of his tasks. At least he has Beatrice. But the Beast had devoted followers intent on returning him. And the darkness that hold's the land refuses to let go. It wants to reclaim the power and fear. And kill the usurper.

This is Chapter 10 is the series. Wirt is wandering the woods in search for his brother, Gregory, who sacrificed himself in order to save his older brother. Beatrice, a talking blue bird who had been a part of the brothers' journey was caught in the blizzard and was fortunately reunited with Wirt, after being separated. They find Greg, but this story takes an unexpected ending.

We hear about shooting stars and how they don't come around very often. We also know how late at night people make wishes on them when someone is lucky enough to spot one... but when an angel falls from Heaven like a shooting star, can you still make a wish on them?
