Author's Note

The final chapter to Season 1.

Cue: Before My Body is Dry (Kill La Kill)

"Time to reawaken Shibuya and Honnouji's imaginations." Rindo declared.

"Everybody ready!?" Ryuko asked, everyone answering "yes" in their own ways. After everyone gets into position...

"Commence Operation: Awakening... NOW!" Rebecca ordered.

"Here we go..." Neku let out as he concentrates. "Focus..."

"Well, would you look at that. People are finally waking up here and in Honnouji." Uzuku mused.

"Welcome back, girl. Kinda feels like the fog's starting to lift for me, too." Kariya said.

"Oh, you've still got a long ways to go. Try a little harder, will ya?"

"Aye-aye! Never thought I'd say this, but I think it's time for me to get to work."

Coco keeps trying to hold back the Plague Noise and Heartless. "Um, can somebody explain how I got roped into this fricking mess!? Ugh. This is, like, literally the worst. I know I'm just irresistibly adorable, but can't you all just buzz off!?" She complained before Sho appears and defeats the Plague Noise and Heartless that were about to attack her. "Mini-moto!"

"Zero seven seven three four." Sho replied.

"Ew." Coco grunted before Sho leaves. "Hey! Don't just spout off numbers and walk away, you jerk!" She exclaimed before she sighs. "...Whatevz. As long as he's doing his job. ...You better do yours too, Neku."

With Neku, he starts feeling strained. "Hey. You good, Phones?" Beat asked.

"Neku? What's happening? Is everything alright?" A young lady with black hair and glasses huffed worriedly.

SHIKI MISAKI

"Yeah... Tell her I'm fine." Neku asked of Beat.

"Says to tell you he's good." Beat told.

"...Well, we haven't got much time left." Rhyme pointed out before Neku gets more strained.

"Need a hand there, partner?"

Neku looks over and sees a young man with ash-blonde hair. "Josh!?"

"Priss-kid!?" Neku and Beat respectively gasped.

"No one invited me to this little reunion." The man, Josh, said. "So I invited myself. I must say, this is quite the impressive scheme you've devised. Hope you don't mind if I stick around and observe."

"...Not at all, partner." Neku smiled before going back to concentrating. "Okay. Get ready, guys..."

"The fated hour is almost upon us. What happens next... is anyone's guess." Josh muttered.

Nagi groans. "Tis ceaseless... Thoughts stream into my head, one after another... Fair and foul alike..."

"Whoa, are you okay?" Shoka asked.

"Stay strong, Nagi!" Rindo exclaimed.

"It appears she's predisposed to absorbing negative imagination." Hishima hummed before a flash of light appears.

"...Hm? I feel fine." Nagi let out in surprise.

"Glad to be of service." Hishima huffed. "I rechanneled that depressive energy outward."

"Emotional redirection..." Nagi declared.

"In a sense." Hishima shrugged.

"Those Noise keep multiplying... Kaie, Tsugumi, Hishima, Nui, Hououmaru, let's go lend the bosses a hand." Shoka asked of. "We'll keep the Noise at bay, just do what you gotta do!" She ordered the others.

"Understood!" Nagi acknowledged. "I shall do my utmost! Open they minds unto me, and... pardon the intrusion!" She screamed before diving inside everyone's minds.

"Fret! Nagi managed to dive inside! You're up!" Rindo told.

Fret smirks. "Roger that, buddy!" He growled excitedly before he, Nagi, and Neku power up. "Time for a reminder... You ready, Shibuya and Honnouji!? C'MON, THIIINK!" He shouted, creating a large wave of reminding energy that covers the entirety of Shibuya and Honnouji. After that, blue drops of light appeared from the consciousness of everyone before they are sent to the sky.

End Song

"...It's time." Rebecca huffed.

"Yo, guys!" Beat called as he and Neku appear.

"Beat! Neku! Nice work out there, you guys~!" Mako complimented.

"The once soundless city is silent no more..." Nagi notified as everyone hears the thoughts of everyone passing by and through them. "The people's voices are returning to the Crossing..."

"Huh. Sounds like Shibuya's already looking a lot better from their side." Weisz smiled.

"We should be all set to intercept the Noise." Terra said.

"Remember: They're just mindless thoughts." Aqua reminded.

"Let's show them what Shibuya, Honnouji, and all the worlds we came from are made of!" Ventus exclaimed.

"Well now. Didn't expect you to have such an elaborate plan until AFTER you failed."

The group turns and sees...

"Tanzo Kubo..." Ragyo glared.

"Any minute now, the Noise in Rindo Kanade's pin will burst right out. Once it does, Shibuya and Honnouji are done for, no matter WHAT you try." Kubo boasted.

"We'll see about that." Ryuko growled. Just then, Rindo's pin glows red, making red and black bird-like Noise appear from it in a swarm of hostile energy.

"Right on time..." Kubo snarled sinisterly.

"Damn! How the hell'd they all fit inside that pin, man!?" Beat asked.

"Look skyward!" Nagi alerted, showing the blue lights fighting off the Noise.

"What's happening?" Fret grunted.

"It looks like they're... fighting or something..." Shoka guessed.

"...Hold on. That ain't right..." Kubo realized.

"Those souls lost to time are trying to take control, but Shibuya and Honnouji are fighting back." Neku commented. The fighting eventually comes to a sudden stop after an explosion of kinetic energy in the sky.

"They stopped!" Uzu exclaimed.

"All that still ain't enough?" Beat huffed in confusion, looking at the still darkened city.

"No. But it was enough to get us a good head start." Neku answered. Just then, the symbol of the Noise appears in the sky.

"I think I see something..." Rebecca hummed, looking at the sky.

"That is the Noise of Shibuya and Honnouji's demise! Even though you damaged it pretty well, you still don't stand a chance! Not against... the Phoenix Cantus!" Kubo boasted as the Noise appears in a ball of light before it descends and shows its form, a phoenix with flame-styled feathers.

"Sure is gaudy..." Fret grunted.

"All those Noise came back... and merged into one..." Shoka gasped.

"Like some nefarious phoenix..." Hoka adjusted his glasses.

"C'mon. LET'S ERASE THIS NOISE FOR GOOD!" Rindo galvanized. The phoenix Noise lets out an ear-piercing squawk before it makes two tail feathers appear.

Cue: The World Is Yours (NEO: The World Ends With You)

"Nazuna!" Michiru called as she uses her Photokinesis while flying around.

"Right!" Nazuna acknowledged as she uses her Umbrakinesis on one of the tail feathers. Once they destroy one of its tail feathers, another one appears and fires red energy pellets at them.

"That's cute." Aqua mused before summoning a large fireball that shoots out multiple fireballs at the tail feather. "Firaga Burst!"

Another tail feather appears and fires piercing shots that Terra deflects. "Meteor!" He shouted as he summons a meteor that falls on and explodes upon contact with the tail feather.

"Watch out for the attacks coming from below!" Nonon alerted as the group dodges the attacks that were coming from below.

"Here's a move I cooked up! Aquatic Hour!" Nina shouted as she splashes upwards, Keyblade in her mouth, slashing through some of the tail feathers.

"Hey, Kubo! THIS is what I think of your Noise!" Nui growled as she slashes away at each of the tail feathers. "STUPID! UGLY! INCONSEQUENTIAL! WASTE OF SPACE! AND MOST IMPORTANTLY... UNBELIEVABLY FUCKING GAUDY!" She screamed as she cuts down the last tail feather.

The phoenix approaches. "SNAKE!"

"DOG!"

"MONKEY!"

"TOAD!"

"UTTER VICTORY: SINGLE BLOW!" The Elite Four roared as they hit it with everything they got, making it explode. The phoenix, to save its skin, turns into a small rainbow bird which then transforms back into its phoenix form, but this time, with rainbow feathers.

"Mako!" Ryuko called before throwing Mako at the phoenix, causing her to punch it, sending it flying. However, it comes right back, but with a large dent in its face.

"Let's do this!" Rebecca galvanized as she, Shiki, Weisz, and Homura use their best attacks. "LEAPER ARCANUM!"

"MECHA MECH ATTACK: GRAVITY FIST FRENZY!"

"DRUM CANNON!"

"FIVE SWORD FENCING: LEOPARD STANCE: LEOPARD CLAW FRENZY!" Rebecca, Shiki, Weisz, and Homura respectively growled loudly as they sent out a large barrage of attacks that destroyed the tail feathers.

"ARS ARCANUM!" Ventus shouted as he wailed wildly on the phoenix, dealing damage to it. Labilia uses her Groove Pawn to have Mr. Mew deal some devastating punches and kicks.

"Let's do this, Satsuki!" Ryuko ordered as she was in her Senketsu Shippu form while Satsuki was in her transformed state as well.

"Junketsu Reppu!" Satsuki exclaimed as she turns into her own version of Senketsu Shippu. The two spin around before blasting their jets into overdrive as they attacked the phoenix, their two attacks dealing massive damage before they go through it.

"SEN-I-SOSHITSU!"

"One last hit! Everybody ready!?"

"VERILYYY!"

"Let's make it count, yo!"

"You know I will!"

"This is it!"

"No more Games!"

"We're FINISHED with you!"

"This fight is OVER!"

"You're done for!"

"WE'RE GONNA TAKE BACK OUR CITIES!" Fret, Nagi, Beat, Shoka, Neku, Akami, Tori, Teion, Kuma, and Rindo respectively declared before they all fire beams at the phoenix, Rindo dealing the final blow, destroying and erasing the Phoenix Cantus.

End Song and Cue: SCRAMBLE (NEO: The World Ends With You)

"...This... This did not just happen." Kubo gasped.

"What? The fact that we came, we saw, we kicked that Noise's ass?" Ryuko huffed. "Face it: You lost the Reaper's Game, Tanzo Kubo."

"...This ain't over yet. *I* decide when I'VE lost." Kubo growled.

"And you're going to make that decision now."

Kubo flinches and turns to see Ragyo, who spoke, Shiba, and Hououmaru behind him. "And if you won't say it... then allow us."

"We. Win." Everyone said together before Kubo drops to his knees.

"What a shame, Kubo." Shiba sighed. "I trusted you... and you threw that trust out the window of a skyscraper, came to where it fell, carried it all the way up to where you came from, and burned what remained. I have to thank you, though. I haven't felt that excited in a very long time. You, however, won't last to see me that way any longer."

"No... not now... I had... so much to do... Sir Cross... He won't let you get away with this...!" Kubo told.

"Your concern should not be with who will come to exact revenge on me. You should be concerned about getting erased. And you're about to get erased right now. You are no Angel. You are no Reaper. You are no Player. You are just a coward. And with that... I bid you adieu." Shiba sent off before erasing Kubo in the slowest, most painful way possible. "...That reminds me. We still haven't declared a winner to the Game yet."

"Shiba..." Ryuko grunted before falling to her knees, exhausted from the fight.

"Ryuko!" Mako called, running to her.

"I must say, I was heated for our final showdown. And I can only speak for myself here, but I'm not fit to fight at this point. I'm all burnt out." Shiba told.

"You and us both..." Rindo replied.

"With that said... Let's just call it a draw. ...This time." Ragyo asked of. "I hadn't given much thought to what to do in this situation, but I suppose that means it's Game Over. In other words, we're done here, everyone."

"...Just like that?" Ryuko raised an eyebrow, suspicious.

"Just like that." Ragyo nodded.

"Well, what are we supposed to do?"

"Go home. Back to the RG. Toss that pin and you're all set. You'll be home before you know it."

"Gotcha..." Rindo replied.

"What about you, Shoka, Nui? I'll let you rejoin our ranks, if you so desire." Shiba offered.

"Why would she do that?" Shiki asked back.

"Where else would they go if not back to Shinjuku with us?"

"Uh, back to the RG with us?"

"They couldn't even if they wanted to. It's one of our rules back in Shinjuku. Once you're stripped of your title as a Reaper, you're gone for good. So you wait, and when the Game finally reaches its conclusion... you face erasure." Shiba grimaced.

"What!?" The group gasped.

"That's the rule." Hououmaru told. "They knew what they were doing when they joined your teams."

"...Is that true...?" Ryuko asked Nui who nodded solemnly.

"If you wish to rejoin the Reapers, then I'll give you until the end of the day. The decision is yours." Shiba declared as he, Ragyo, and Hououmaru leave, Nui and Shoka watching them.

"...Damn... Sounds like you don't have a choice, huh...?" Ryuko let out, devastated herself.

"...Says who?" Nui spoke up.

"Shiba, Ragyo, and Hououmaru! You heard them!" Ryuko exclaimed.

"Well, what if I don't wanna go back? I'm sick of being a Reaper." Nui puffed her cheeks after turning to Ryuko.

"So you just disappear!?" Ryuko grunted.

"Pretty much. Shoka and I have made our peace." Nui shrugged.

"What the hell... Why didn't you say something...?"

"Didn't know I was obligated to. Be happy, Ryuko, the Game's over! You got what you wanted!"

"...No, I didn't. ...I... wanted to talk to you more. Have fun with you and our friends..."

"Huh...?" Nui huffed in confusion.

"I get that the Game has to end, but our friendship doesn't have to!"

"...Ryuko. If I return to the Reapers, then I'll be stuck playing that dumb Game forever. And I won't be able to see you. Not in person, at least. And... that would really suck." Nui said before bowing her head sadly then smiling at her with tears in her eye. "It's been fun~ And I'm glad we got to talk like this~ You make a pretty good partner-"

"Aw, parting is such sweet sorrow~"

End Song

The group turns and sees Josh approaching them. "Huh?"

"Wh-Who the hell are you?" Nui huffed and Ryuko asked respectively.

"Heh. The name's Yoshiya Kiryu."

YOSHIYA KIRYU

"But Mother and Father call me "Joshua"." Josh introduced himself. "I suppose you can call me Joshua too."

"Can we help you?" Nui hummed. "We're kinda busy having emotions right now."

"No, you can't help me, but perhaps I can help you. You may not know this, but I'm Shibuya's Composer." Joshua told.

"Composer...? As in THE Composer!?" Nui gasped.

"So you... write music or something?" Ryuko tilted her head.

"No, he's like... the Game Master's master's master!" Nui corrected.

"What say we celebrate this chance encounter with a little game?" Joshua "offered".

"What kind of ga-"

*WHOOSH*

Before Nui could finish her question, she disappeared. "Nui!? WHAT DID YOU DO TO HER!?" Ryuko shouted in anger.

"I put her and Shoka on the street with the other stray cats. Find her, and you win." Joshua declared.

"What!? She could be anywhere!" Ryuko complained.

"Good luck finding that "anywhere"... Ryuko. Rindo." Joshua wished luck before he leaves.

"..."I put her and Shoka on the street with the other stray cats"... Hey, Rindo. You don't think...?" Ryuko realized.

"Street... cats..." Rindo pieced together. "Ah!"

"Cat Street!"

After finding and locking the Keyhole...

Ryuko and her friends and sister were still inside the RG Shibuya, Rebecca and the others in her group ready to go.

"WAIIIT!"

Rebecca looks and sees Mako charging at her, glomp style. "Rebecca, don't leave uuus!"

*BAM*

Mako tackled Rebecca into the floor of the EDENS ZERO. "Ow... Mako..." Rebecca groaned in pain. "Wait... "us"?" She caught before looking. She saw Rindo, Ryuko, Satsuki, the Elite Four of Honnouji, Fret, Nagi, Shoka, and Nui with her.

"Hold on! Don't forget us!"

The above mentioned people look over and see Sho walking to them, with Coco, who spoke, running after him. "I like, totez wanna come to!" Coco declared.

"But, Coco, isn't Shibuya your home?" Rebecca pointed out.

"SOMEONE'S gotta keep THIS guy in check." Coco told, pointing at Sho.

"What does HE wanna come with us for?" Rebecca asked.

"Heh. Nothing you need to worry your head over, B-Cuber zeptogram." Sho answered. "All you need to know is that going to all those different points and the abnormal powers you all possess interests me." He said. 'If I could have that power... I could become Shibuya's next Composer... Heh.'

"...Well, Fret DOES have a Keyblade. He could keep you guys safe." Rebecca hummed. "...All right. But hey, where's Beat and Neku?"

"Beat and Neku are staying here. Shibuya's in their blood. They could never leave it." Fret winked.

"Wouldn't the same apply to you guys?"

"Guess Nui wasn't the only one who was curious~" Fret shrugged.

"Indeed. And I'm guessing that you thought that me, going to other worlds, would be the last thing that crossed my mind, yes?" Nagi guessed. "Well, I think you'd be glad to be proven wrong, Lady Rebecca."

Rebecca blinks... then smiles. "Welcome aboard~"

?

"...So. You come here after betraying me... Shiba... Ragyo... Hououmaru." Cross hummed, seeing the aforementioned trio.

"We have." Shiba nodded.

"And you didn't share the location of our base... because why?" Cross asked.

"They would find your base eventually. However, if we told them now, we would be sending them to their deaths." Hououmaru adjusted her glasses.

"...Fair enough." Cross admitted with a smile. "So. Are you three ready to be punished?"

"You sound as though we've angered you." Ragyo pointed out.

"I'm not angry. Just disappointed." Cross sighed. "I thought I could count on you three. ...Or are you doubting me?"

"...Heh. Perhaps I've thrown my monster side out the window... and became an actual mother for once in my life. I'll be counting on Ryuko and Satsuki to defeat you once and for all, Cross." Ragyo mused.

"So you KNOW you're going to die here... Why try?" Cross brought up.

"Because we're leaving it to the future, but you're stuck in the past. As your brother and sisters in arms, we are here to snap you out of it." Shiba said. "Now, my friend... let us set your soul ablaze!"

"...Heh. You always had great fire puns. That one... will be your last." Cross growled, pulling out his Keyblade.

END OF SEASON 1

Author's Note

Finally done with season 1. Hope you don't mind, but I'm going to take a little break until this coming Monday where I'll be working on the first episode of the second season.

What will become of Shiba, Ragyo, and Hououmaru? Well, as Cross stated, the trio KNOW they're about to die, so... guess.

Up next are gonna be some tougher worlds for our heroes as in those worlds... well... let's just say their respective powers will be... put on hold, if the saying fits.

Before I leave you with that, I have two questions for you guys, one of which is an announcement.
