In the Amazon Jungle Lab, Yumi and Ulrich were seen being chased by the robotic spiders before they were eventually surrounded as the pair stood back to back.
"And this was supposed to be a piece of cake…" Ulrich said.
Several hours earlier…
It was currently gym class as Jim, Vector, and Franky were teaching some of the young school group alongside Odd and Ulrich about Vaulting.
"We'll say it once more for those who were daydreaming." Jim said.
"One, run up." Vector added.
"Two, jump onto the springboard." Franky continued.
"Three, push off of the horse." Jim finished. "Four, pipe vault, and five, land feet together on the mat. You got that?"
"No, I didn't get it at all, Coach." Herb said. "So would you mind giving us a demonstration, Jim?"
"What's the matter with you, Pichon? There's nothing to it. Only a halfwit couldn't manage it." Jim said before turning to the course.
"One, two, three…" Kokichi counted.
Just then Jim let out a scream of pain as crashing was heard.
"He got to five without doing four." Kokichi said.
"Ouch, that must've hurt." Ginseng said as Jim was flat on the ground with his head and arms and legs in the air as some of the students laughed.
"Pichon…Funny, huh? Well, let's see what you can do." Jim said.
Herb then walked up to the start of the course.
"And don't forget those five golden rules." Vector added as Herb ran, only to face plant on the jumping pad and flying into the air before landing flat on his back.
"That horse ought to be in the rodeo!" Odd said.
"Della Robbia, front and center. It's your turn to fall flat on your face." Jim ordered like a sergeant.
"Okay!" Odd said as he took to the stage and did a handstand on the horse before jumping off and landing perfectly as the students were in awe. "Well, how was that? I guess you're right, Jim. Only a half-wit couldn't manage it."
Al smacked her hand over her face in annoyance. "Dammit Odd…"
It was after class that the group was talking.
"Come on, I don't believe it! I do a Vault worthy of the Olympics, and then BAM! Four hours of detention. Is that the kind of payoff I deserve?" Odd asked.
"Well, yeah. Kind of." Shun'ei said.
"Gee, maybe it was because of your braggart attitude?" Simon asked.
"Braggart? I don't know what you're talking about. No one is more humble than I am." Odd said.
"Yeah, right." Francisca said.
"He's right, Odd. Your middle name oughta be 'braggart'." Jeremie said as he and Aelita approached.
"That's for sure. I can't even remember one day that you didn't sing your own praises." Aelita added.
"Hey, that is so wrong, and I can prove it to you too!" Odd said.
"Alright then… I'll bet you a week of desserts that you can't go a whole day without bragging." Shun'ei said.
"You're on. I know someone who just won himself some yummy seconds." Odd said.
"Ooh, confident." Ash said.
"Well, now that you two have settled your bet. I think I should remind you that we'll be going back to the Jungle Lab after class tonight." Jeremie said.
"And Edward Cullen will be there waiting for us." Simon added.
"We all know a few certain someones that are ready for that." Shun'ei said. "And by the way… Edward Cullen? Who is that?"
"Shun'ei, my dear friend… you're better off not knowing." ZS said sincerely.
"Yeah… Let's just say that those kinds of movies are bad. Like…really bad." Francisca said.
"Oh big time." Simon added.
It was later after school that both groups prepared to enter the Replika as the group teleported directly inside the Amazon Jungle facility where Yumi and Ulrich were waiting.
"Well, what do you know, right inside the lab this time." Magnamon said.
"You ready for this, Magnamon?" UlforceVeedramon asked.
"Yeah…I'm finally gonna settle things with that bastard." Magnamon said.
"Then here we go." UlforceVeedramon said as they entered the lab to see it in some shambles with webs strung all over.
"Looks like the spiders have been busy." Tulip said.
"Yeah. They've clearly been sprucing up the place while we were gone." David said.
"Indeed." Phantom said as his radar scope was activated in his left eye. "Some of them seem to be patrolling outside the facility. I do not see ShadeMan though."
"You need to be cautious. ShadeMan was one of the more powerful robots Flux ever designed." Tails said on the comm.
"He's got a point. Sensing him would be too easy." Harumi said.
"I know. That's why I hope we can destroy the Supercomputer before he appears." Phantom said.
Magnamon was just as cautious before he saw something moving in Phantom's shadow. "He isn't further ahead. He's already here!" Magnamon said moving at Phantom as ShadeMan rose up from the ninja's shadow and blocked.
"What the heck?" Shiki said in surprise.
"So you figured out one of my tricks. That I can enter people's shadows." ShadeMan said.
"Yeah, kind of an old trick in your kind of book." Magnamon said. "Go deal with the computer. I can handle this guy."
"You sure, Magnamon? All alone?" Harumi asked.
"He won't get the better of me this time." Magnamon said.
"Hmm…okay! We're leaving him behind!" Zexi smiled.
"Alright… I trust you. Don't die on us, you hear me?" David asked.
"You speak to a knight of miracles. Avoiding death…is all part of the play!" Magnamon said.
The group ran off as ShadeMan stood against the Royal Knight.
"All this…because of how I treated your comrade?" ShadeMan said.
"Ulforce was more than just a comrade to me." Magnamon said.
"Useless. In the end, comrades end up dying at your feet in the name of ideals. I know that's how the robots of Nebula were…always dying at the hands of your little friends in the Dimensional Heroes." ShadeMan said.
"That's the part that you're the one not understanding, ShadeMan." Magnamon said.
"Understand…all of those fools who sacrificed themselves." ShadeMan said before he smiled. "Why would I care about those useless piles of scrap?"
"You really don't care about them?" Magnamon asked.
"All we sought was world domination. Be it one or many. If they lived, that's good. If not, then they were flawed and obsolete. Let them rust away for their failures in our group's name!" ShadeMan said.
"Is that so? Well, let's see how they would feel about that…" Magnamon started. "When you meet them in Hell!"
Magnamon and ShadeMan started a heated exchange as they battled across the lab.
"Hahahaha! You're really risking it all here." ShadeMan said as he saw some dents on his body as well as some scratches on Magnamon. "However…you aren't going to stand much longer." ShadeMan said before he breathed in. "WHEEEEE!" he screeched as the windows shattered.
"Gah! Not again…" Magnamon said.0
"Hahahaha! You fool! In the end…you were fated to…" ShadeMan said before he was hit with a side punch. "What? WHAT?!"
"Your voice…is really annoying." Magnamon said.
"But…how? You shouldn't be able to move after hearing that soundwave!" ShadeMan said.
"I had a feeling you might pull this again…" Magnamon said as he removed a pair of earplugs. "You know…we recovered some robot blueprints. Yours were among them." he said as ShadeMan's eyes widened in both shock and anger. "Yeah, that's right. You're not so unique anymore, are you?"
"Shut your damn…" ShadeMan said before Magnamon chopped off ShadeMan's left arm. "Gah!"
"You can't fly without your arms." Magnamon said. "Face it. It's over…you've lost."
"Lost? No! I refuse to believe that!" ShadeMan said as he took off running towards the supercomputer. "XANA is on my side! With the computer…I can be repaired! Then…I shall end your life!"
"Yeah… Good luck with that." Magnamon said.
"Hahahaha! I'll win! I'll win!" he said, opening the door before seeing the others about to destroy it. "No…you…you can't!" he said, rushing in to try and save it.
"We can, buddy. Now, ShadeMan… This is for Ulforce!" Alphamon said as he planted his sword right at the control panel.
"Sayonara." Phantom said, throwing a kunai into ShadeMan's other arm.
The Robot Master collapsed in a heap, turning onto his back to see Magnamon standing over him. "You…can't…" ShadeMan snarled in defiance. "We…were going to…" he said as his eyes blacked out as his arm collapsed beside him.
"You can repent for your sins in Hell, ShadeMan." Magnamon said.
"Let this be your final resting place." Phantom added, doing a hand sign. "Our mission is complete here."
"That was… suspiciously easy." Scarlet said.
"ShadeMan was indeed a strong robot. However…his greatest weakness…he underestimated the power of bonds." Magnamon said.
"As such, his fate was to die as he lived. Alone." David said.
"We should get going. Doubt it's gonna be long before the place goes up in smoke." Leonis said.
"Yes. Let's get out of here while we can." Harumi said.
They quickly ran out of the lab before large explosions could be seen from it.
"Man, I hope none of those spiders survived." Moltar said. "They'd wreck the food chain of this place."
"I doubt it, if they were connected to the supercomputer here, makes sense for them to be shut down too." Simon said.
"Besides, the food chain would've been the least of our problems." David said. "We'd have people from all over being ShadeMan's mindless slaves."
"Speaking of which, I hope our Ulforce feels much better now that ShadeMan is gone." Magnamon said.
"He's nothing but a pile of scrap now. He will not be missed." Kenshin said.
"That leaves FreezeMan and…more than likely CosmoMan too." Tails said on the comm.
"Yeah. But Reality Check was able to send us backup against FreezeMan. What's her angle in all of this?" David asked.
"I don't know." Sachiko said on the other line. "But it's like you said, it's going to take everyone available. And I bet she knows it too."
"But she's one of the Universal Prison's most dangerous criminals, right? Why is she helping us?" Kaito asked.
"Hopefully we'll find out when we near the end of this." Weisz said.
"Speaking of which, I hope Odd kept to his bet." David said.
"I… wouldn't be too sure about that, David." Double D said. "I just got word from Jeremie: it seems Odd managed to defeat William on his own."
"Heh. More sweets for you, Shun." Meitenkun said.
"You got that right. Though, in all honesty. I don't think we'd want Odd any other way." Shun'ei said.
"Yeah…good on you, bud." Kaminari said as they continued to head back.
"Reality Check…I wonder…could she be…" Lan said.
