Everyone was gathered in the cafeteria for breakfast as Odd was approaching with tray in hand before sitting down, and on his tray was dry toast and tea.
"Tea and dry toast, Odd? What are you, sick?" Yumi asked.
"No, not yet. But after I choke this down, I will be!" Odd said.
"Um, Ulrich? Clarification?" David asked.
"Odd was looking for his shoes and ended up breaking a handheld mirror." Ulrich answered. "That's seven years bad luck."
"Oooh, man… Yeah, I can definitely relate." David said.
"Okay everyone, here's the plan. You've got to return to the military base and destroy XANA's Supercomputer once and for all. I don't think it should be too complicated. That is as long as XANA doesn't have anything new up his sleeve." Jeremie said.
"CosmoMan is the only obstacle we'll have to worry about for now." Saki said.
"Yeah, and he only got us last time because he took us by surprise." Eddy added. "He won't pull that on us again!"
"Eddy, CosmoMan is a master planner. I wouldn't be surprised if he has many contingencies." Mayumi said. "He even kidnapped me because we took out all of his allies."
"Or in ClockMan's case, scared away." Kokoro said.
"Or at least, he assumed we did." David said. "Well, okay, maybe that was true for one or two of them."
It was later after school on the Galaxy King that the Digimon Storage was activated as the grou'ps second trip to the Desert Replika began.
"The coordinates for the base in New Mexico are already registered." Hermit said.
"Alright, let's finish things up and be done with the Supercomputer here." A2 said as the group entered the portal and saw Yumi already there.
"Sup, Yumi?" David asked.
"Pretty well so far. Just waiting for my partner to show up." Yumi said.
Just then Ulrich soon translated as he landed on the ground.
"Ulrich? Wasn't it supposed to be Odd?" Yumi asked.
"The translation program wasn't working for him so he's holding down the fort with Aelita." Ulrich said. "That's bad luck I tell ya."
"Well, considering how his day has been so far, I shouldn't be surprised." Leonora said.
"Yeah, I'm glad it's Ulrich instead of Odd." Yumi said. "Ready?"
"Yeah." A2 said as they headed to one of the outdoor elevators before something materialized before them as it was Kankrelats.
"What the? Kankrelats? In the real world?" Mayumi asked.
"A tower must've been activated on the Replika." X said, readying his X Buster.
"Yeah, this isn't the first time XANA brought them into the real world." Ulrich said.
"Well…it seems you all keep wanting to be captured." CosmoMan's voice sounded.
"Not by choice." Mayumi said. "Yeah, that's right. I still remember."
"You've…got a pretty good memory if you still remember that, Mayumi." Kokoro said.
"I will make sure you don't shut down this facility. You people are out of your league." CosmoMan said.
"You know… Back when we first met you and your crew… You would be right. A lot of us probably would be out of your league." Leonora said.
"Glad to see you agree. How about this? Agree to serve me and XANA and I might consider letting you all live." CosmoMan said.
"Sorry, but we're gonna have to make a hard pass on that one." Kokoro said.
"Yeah, instead we're gonna kick your metal ass to the curb." A2 said. "And destroy your stupid Supercomputer while we're at it."
"You're still fools. My Cosmo Ring can shut down your abilities in an instant." CosmoMan said.
"So what? I'm not afraid of that." Kokoro said. "My strength is more than enough."
"And she's not alone. I've got some beef to settle with you too." Mayumi said.
"CosmoMan… There is no denying that you are an acclaimed tactician." Leonora said. "But even the best of such have their off-days, as you will soon see for yourself."
"What are you talking about?" CosmoMan asked as his private quarters were broken in as Leonora's Dynasty Warriors stood there.
"As if right on cue." Leonora said.
"She speaks the truth. Even acclaimed tacticians such as myself, and masters Lu Xun and Xun Yu, know all to well, that not all plans are able to work." Jiang Wei said. "Some end up failing before the battle starts, without realizing until it is too late."
"What Master Jiang Wei is saying is that there are times where failure is inevitable. But it doesn't necessarily mean-' Xun Yu said.
"You know, I really don't care." CosmoMan said, tossing his rings onto them. "Now you cannot…" he said before being attacked. "What?"
"Unfortunately…we have no abilities." Lu Xun said.
"So that's why the girl sent you people my way." CosmoMan said as he recalled his rings. "Cosmo Planet!" he said creating a large planet as the warriors jumped out of the way as the room was destroyed.
"Whoa, that is a lot of destructive power." Mayumi said.
"You know, I usually try to keep my power in check because of the wide area of destruction is causes. But…since my rings won't work…I'll have to get creative, won't I?" CosmoMan said.
"Hm, you've got a good point there. Now it's getting fun." Kokoro said.
"Apologies, dragon lady. But whatever scare tactics you used on ClockMan will not work on me." CosmoMan said.
"Good. Wasn't my intention." Kokoro said.
"Fine…then I will crush you into dust!" CosmoMan said as he summoned three planets. "Cosmo Buster!" he said as they came flying at Kokoro.
Kokoro got ready to launch her fists into the planets, planning to follow it up with her flame breath.
"Gah!" CosmoMan said as he felt the flames. "Cosmo Planet!" he said, sending down another planet at her.
"Look out, Kokoro!" Mayumi said as she fired a rocket at the planet that was launched. Both exploded in midair, causing chunks to rain down on the base.
"Damn it…this keeps up, I'll end up destroying the base on accident." CosmoMan cursed.
"Sorry, can't help it." Mayumi said. "Packing a lot of firepower over here."
"Admit it. You're liking this too, aren't you?" Leonora asked.
"Of course…I've dreamt of this moment…when I destroyed you heroes. Succeeding where ShadeMan and LaserMan failed! You know what? Screw XANA!" CosmoMan said, creating lots of planets. "I'll destroy this base in order to win! Cosmo Prison!" he called out as they call came raining down.
"Not exactly the kind of spirit I was looking for, but… At least he's having fun, I guess." Leonora said.
"There's no way we can avoid all of these." Mayumi said.
"Well, if he intends to destroy this base. There's only one thing we gotta do." Kokoro said. "End this match with a bang. You two ready?"
"Well, whatever idea you have better be worth it. Let's do it!" Mayumi said.
"Yes, I am with you." Leonora said.
"The girls must be having fun." David said.
"Yeah, but we should probably go before we get caught in the aftermath." Glimmer said.
"Right. Fair warning to the minions inside, the 15 foot radius from this place is about to be a blast zone." David said.
Mayumi fires a rocket at CosmoMan, which has been coated in Kokoro's Dragon Flame and light from Leonora's rapier. The two of them battled through the incoming planets as they made their way to CosmoMan.
"You fools! There is no way you can survive all of this!" CosmoMan called out.
"We've managed to survive a lot of things." Kokoro said.
They continued to fight their way through before reaching CosmoMan.
"This can't be. I am the strongest robot ever created!" CosmoMan said. "I cannot be defeated by organic beings!"
"I don't know about strongest, but…" Kokoro said. "At least you went out with a bang." she said with a wink.
"A bang?" CosmoMan said before seeing some of the planets were redirected at him. "No no no!" he called out as they collided with him as a massive explosion occurred, taking out the entire base and spreading as far as a few miles. By the time it cleared, CosmoMan's body lied in the crater, no signs of activity coming from it. Completely lifeless.
"Guh… That was rough. You girls alright?" Kokoro asked.
"Yeah… I think I managed." Mayumi said.
"I didn't think we were going to survive that. I guess… I guess we just got lucky." Leonora said.
"Yeah…didn't expect a guy to sit back to have so much power." Kokoro said. "He really was one of Flux's most destructive robots."
"You got that right. I don't know how Miu is going to handle recreating someone like him." Mayumi said.
"I'm sure she'll manage somehow. In any case, that's another Replika down. And now, only FreezeMan is left." Leonora said.
"Miu is working on a plan for him. For now, we just need to contend." Mayumi said.
"Yep. Though, it's going to be difficult to explain these burns to Miss Yolanda." Kokoro said.
"Maybe we say it was an accident with a burner?" Leonora asked.
"Well, that's the best we've got right now." Mayumi said.
"Yeah…let's hope they buy it." Kokoro said as they headed off with the others back to the Galaxy King.
