It was morning in the meal hall as mail was being handed out to all the students within.

"Ah, postcards. When you go to a boarding school, or…in our case, when we go traveling, it's always good to get stuff from our families and let each other know we're doing well." David said.

"Yeah, it's a nice feeling." Mari said. "It's a shame no one back home knows we're here." she said before quickly hiding her right hand.

"Yeah, it's a shame. I mean, we do know a few people in this timeline, but… I doubt most of them would be the type to send anything to us." Lloyd said.

"Besides, we're not too worried about that. I mean, the Lyoko Warriors still get their mail. That's something." David said.

"That is true, this is their homeworld after all." Marta said.

"Yeah…so read it and weep." Odd said holding a package. "Wonder what goodies I…" he said opening it to see two jars. "What the? All I get is dog food?"

"Makes you wonder who their real son is. You or Kiwi?" Petra asked.

"Don't they both have bottomless stomachs?" Saki joked.

"Hey…I won first place in a contest. A ride in a fighter jet with a live missile exercise. And it's for today, too! Hmm…weird…I don't remember entering." Jeremie said.

"You didn't. I entered you. Though to raise my chances, I sent in applications in all your names." Odd said. "And look, it worked, because Jeremie's name was drawn!"

"There's just one slight problem with that plan, Odd." David said. "The prize is non-transferable. Jeremie is the only one that can go on that flight."

"No, you're kidding. Dang, I didn't even think about that." Odd said.

"Besides, I can't possibly go." Jeremie said.

"If you're worried about XANA acting, we can keep an eye on the Superscan for you." Shantae said.

"Not to mention that we have others that can run the Supercomputer effectively." Francisca said.

"Admit it, Jeremie. You're freaking out. You're totally scared." Odd said.

"Yet you're the one who sent our names in." Ajna said.

"And for your information, I'd love to go." Jeremie said as the bell rang.

"Anyway, we gotta get to class. We really envy you, Einstein. You're gonna get the ride of your life." Odd said.

"Yeah, I'm gonna have one heck of a time." Jeremie said, looking at the slip.

The group continued their normal activities as Jeremie had gone off for the ride of his life.

"So…did you look into you-know-who?" Lan asked on the comm.

"Reality Check doesn't have any records other than the police record she was brought in with." Tulip said.

"It's like she doesn't exist." 9S said.

"Maybe not in this reality." Lan said.

"Ah, now I know why she's called Reality Check. Or…At least, I think." David said.

"Yeah…" Lan said. "Anyway, what about the police record?"

"Well…there's very few details, which is strange for a crook. Under reason for arrest it was listed as trespassing. But that shouldn't have made her a major criminal or even landed her in that prison." Tulip said.

"Hmm… There's gotta be something that happened that led to it." David said. "Something that, as I said before, might've gone…terribly, terribly wrong."

"What about the officer who arrested her? Who was it?" Lan asked.

"Arresting officer was…Nancy Flux." Tulip said.

"Flux's mom…" Hope said.

"This just keeps getting more mysterious." Ace said.

"We need to get more details from either of them when we finish up here." David said. "I have a feeling they're the only ones that can tell us the full story."

"That girl…she must be a…" Lan said before an alert went off. "Well…looks like Jeremie's getting the flight of his life." he said showing the plane Jeremie was flying was going way off the planned course.

"That's strange… I don't think that plane was supposed to…" Shun'ei said before a voice reached the comms.

"Hello? Can anyone hear me?" Jeremie asked.

"Let me guess…XANA?" Mari asked.

"He's taken control of the plane I'm in. The one with armed missiles, and it's flying towards the factory." Jeremie said.

"That means his target is the Supercomputer." David said. "How long do we have?"

"Based on the trajectory, the fighter jet will be in firing range in 15 minutes." Petra said.

"That is all you guys have to go to Lyoko and deactivate the tower." Jeremie said.

They hurried out of Kadic and towards the factory.

"Oh…I hope the factory will be okay." Miu said.

"Oh…I'd be more worried about Jeremie since he'll be blown out of the sky." Jet said on the comm.

"Wait, what?" Ajna asked.

"It's a military policy to blow all hijacked or rogue aircraft out of the air." Jet said.

"Necrozma and Salazzle said that Mayumi called it the 'Tango Contingency'." Zacian said.

"Basically Jeremie's in a fustercluck." Saki said.

"For…lack of a better term." David said. "Sorry, Jeremie. We should've believed you."

"Hey, don't worry about it. I didn't think XANA would attack either." Jeremie said. "The thing is…I'm actually really scared of flying."

"We understand, there's nothing wrong with that." Ajna said. "We'll deactivate the tower as soon as possible, so just hang in there."

"At that rate, we'll be in firing range in 15 minutes." Miu said.

"Miu is right. We should hurry before XANA blows this whole place sky high and everyone in it." David said. "Why do we have such an affinity for blowing places up?"

"Because we're adventurous?" Mark suggested.

"What does that have to do with anything?" Ethox asked.

"...Well, there's gotta be a connection." Mark said.

"It was a rhetorical question." David said.

They hurried onto Lyoko into the Ice Sector. As they ran to the tower, a number of Krabs were blocking their path.

"Oh look…our favorite seafood." Theo said as they started the attack. As they did, Aelita was approached by William and FreezeMan.

"Hello. We've been expecting you." William said.

"Why are we not surprised?" Harumi asked.

"Now…the girl needs to perish." FreezeMan said, sending waves of ice at the group.

"Been there, done that." Francisca said as she swung her axe to dispel the ice.

"Time for a dive!" William said as he tossed Aelita off the edge. However, she then activated her wings. "Rar!" he roared as he jumped after her and grabbed on.

"Pod." 2B said as 042 fired a beam at William, knocking him off Aelita.

"Supersmoke!" he called out as he turned into smoke and chased after Aelita.

"I'll give chase and provide backup for Aelita." 2B said as both flew right past as 2B gave chase.

"FreezeMan, just admit it already." David said.

"Admit what, organic?" FreezeMan asked as he continued to attack.

"That even robots are capable of expressing emotions." David said. "We've seen this a lot of times. ShadeMan, CosmoMan, even the other Robot Masters we fought. They all expressed emotions in their own ways. They all…truly felt alive when they did."

"Irrelevent. We machines are simply built to fulfill our purposes. Mine is to serve XANA." FreezeMan said.

"A shame. Because if you can't feel emotions…then you are already as good as dead." David said. "It's like you just…cut them out."

"Cut…them…" FreezeMan said as he had memories of CutMan fly by as he grabbed his head. "Damn it…why did he have to…" he groaned.

"He's…struggling." Harumi said. "Brother, I don't know what you did, but I think you got to him."

"I know it hurts, FreezeMan, but you can't run from this anymore. You have to remember." David said.

"Ah…" FreezeMan called out as he raised a wall of ice and ran.

"What do you think, Harumi? Do you think I managed to get through to him?" David asked.

"I don't know…" Harumi said. "But… The way he hesitated for a moment there…I think…his memories were conflicting with his directive."

"Then I guess all we can do is…push forward." David said.

"Yeah…" Harumi said as they saw 2B and Ulrich taking care of William as Aelita ran for the tower.

"That's our remedy for a swelled head." Ulrich said.

Aelita quickly ran to the tower as she deactivated it as the RTTP kicked in.

Later, on the Galaxy King…

"I see…it's possible XANA overwrote some of FreezeMan's more emotional memories in order to make him more obedient." Hermit said.

"That is just cruel. Wiping someone's memories just to make them subservient…" David said on the comm.

"Some of us know that feeling." Zero said.

"Fortunately, with my plan…I should be able to snap him out of it if he makes it to the real world." Miu said, flipping a switch showing six machines.

"CutMan, MagnetMan, ShadowMan, KnightMan, AirMan and QuickMan? These are all the former members of Gospel." Jexi said.

"You finished them already?" Sectonia asked.

"Well…not yet. But it shouldn't be too much longer." Miu said.

"Well, it's gonna be quite a tearful reunion for them." Alphamon said. "I can imagine him being filled with joy at the prospect."

"Speaking of joy, where's that spiky haired menace? I don't smell him on campus." Hitomi said.

"Oh, he had to catch a plane." David said.

Odd disguised as Jeremie was on the jet, scared for his life more than Jeremie was.

"I wanna go home!" Odd cried out.
