Chapter 13
Author's Note : Lucas did not cheat on Brooke.
If you've been following since the beginning you would know that. They were not a couple when Rachel and Lucas hooked up.
Lucas's thoughts were racing. At that point. Years ago. Him and Brooke weren't a couple. They only were casually spending the night together every so often and free to date other people.
Something about seeing her happily engaged with other guys. Skinny dipping. Enjoying the arrangement she had put into place.
Gave Lucas the green light to have fun of his own. Which is when Rachel came into the picture. Their involvement spanned one night and he never saw her again.
Town gossip said. She was a model now. But with Rachel he never took things seriously.

Lucas found Brooke. He was so relieved she hadn't left yet.
"We need to talk." He insisted.
"I was interrupting you and Rachel in deep conversation."
"Who cares that my life is falling apart." Brooke proclaimed.
"According to Rachel. That night at the bonfire. Years ago. Resulted in her getting pregnant. And she just announced to me that i'm the father."
"That is when you walked in I had barely processed it."
"That's the truth." Lucas said.
Brooke gazed up at Lucas. Not sure what to say.
"You're a father possibly. That needs to be most important." She replied.
"What about you're news.?" Lucas questioned.
Brooke swallowed hard. "We'll get to that." She stated matter of fact.

When they got back to Lucas's office. Rachel was gone but in her place was a blond haired brown eyed boy. On the back it said Eugene Gatina. Current age 13. Along with that were DNA test results.
Which removed any doubt Lucas had.
"I'm a dad." Lucas said softly. As he grabbed ahold of the picture.
