Day 25- Anakin Carrying Padmé

By the time Anakin and Padmé reached her apartment building, she had practically fallen asleep in the passenger's seat of the speeder.

Anakin chuckled and shook her awake. "Hey there, darling. We're back home."

"That's nice," Padmé sighed as she struggled to get her eyes open.

"Come on," Anakin whispered, taking hold of her hands. "Or are you too tired from dinner to stand up?"

"Being professional takes a lot of energy," Padmé replied as Anakin helped her up. "I'm sure you wouldn't quite understand."

Anakin snorted. "Well, you can't be so tired if you're going to insult me like that. Let's get you inside, sweetie."

Padmé just laughed and allowed Anakin to help her along to the door.

They made it into the building alright, but once they were in the elevator, Padmé began to doze off.

Anakin sighed and wrapped his arm around her. "You sure you're gonna make back to your apartment?"

He only received a sleepy hum as a response. It could very well be translated to a "yes", but Anakin decided against that and took it as a very clear "no".

So, without much hesitation, he lifted his wife up to carry her in his arms.

"What are you doing?" she giggled.

"Carrying you the rest of the way," Anakin stated. "Because you were about to fall over. And besides, this is much more romantic, don't you think?"

Padmé sighed. "I suppose it is," she laughed wrapping her arms around his neck.

The elevator rang and they got off. Anakin strode down the hall towards Padmé's room. "Now let's get you in bed, sleepy."

"Only if you come with me," she countered.

"That's a good deal," Anakin chuckled and kissed her forehead. "I wouldn't miss it for the whole galaxy."
