Alec went back to the bar, not seeing Bella, but seeing a very concerned Simon and Clary. "Where did Bella go?"

"We're not sure." Clary said with a shake of her head. "She was acting strange. She saw the bass player and then bolted.

Simon was confused too. "I've got to get to the stage. Go check outside in the alley, she goes there to get air sometimes." He was feeling weird about Alec and Bella. Bella seemed to just fall in love over night with this random dude.

Alec frowned, looking up at the bass player Clary referred to, but he was more worried about finding Bella. "Thanks." He murmured and then left the bar area to search for Bella outside. He stepped outside the club and looked around the alleyway. She wasn't there. He had a bad feeling shiver up his spine. He looked at his watch, hitting something on it and it rang until Jace picked up. "Jace, Bella is missing from the bar area. I want Iz to do a perimeter sweep. Abandon the issue and prioritize on Bella." He said, his voice strong and certain, but inside he was panicking.

"Copy." Jace's voice came through the watch and then they were disconnected.

Alec went back to the entrance and looked at the bouncer. "Did Bella come through here?" He asked.

Boston, the burley bouncer shook his head. "Is she not inside?"

"No, I thought maybe she came through this way instead of the alley. I'll go ask Magnus. Thanks." Alec said and ducked back inside. Simon was already on stage, music started up and the show kept going on. He found Magnus at the bar, scowling as he spoke with Clary. "She's not in the alley." He said and looked at Magnus. "Have you seen Bella?"

"I haven't, but I need you to come to my office now." Magnus said, and looked at Clary. "Clary can you bar hop for a while?"

Clary nodded. "Sure. I'll take care of it." She said and let herself behind the bar while Alec went off with Magnus.

Once in Magnus's office, Alec spoke. "She's missing Magnus. I need to find her fast."

"She was taken minutes ago." Magnus said and pulled up the CCTV of the alley. "When Clary said that you couldn't find Bella, I checked."

Alec watched the screen, his heart slamming in his chest. "Who is that?" He asked, shaking his head. A blond haired man stole Bella from the alley. He used a rune of some sort, but all he could think about was that now Bella was kidnapped and in grave danger.

"That… Is Jonathan Morgenstern."

"What?" Alec's attention snapped to Magnus, his blue eyes taking on a frightening look. "He's dead."

"He isn't. I would know that face anywhere. It's clear that Valentine has taken Bella back. I'm working on tracing that portal that he took outside the club. I've got other warlocks working on it. In the meantime, I suggest you get back to the institute, alert the Clave that Bella is missing and we work to find her."

Alec ran a hand through his hair. "What if he hurts her and the baby? Magnus, I can't handle it if I lose her."

"Alexander. We will get her back. I promise you I will make sure of it." Magnus said, setting both of his hands on Alec's shoulders to help soothe him.

Alec just nodded, fighting internally with himself.

[Somewhere, not Pandemonium]

Bella felt a little groggy, but she started to come to. She blinked, looking around her. She was in a room, that had greying walls and pipes that led different places. She was laying on a cot and the room was lit decently. She shifted, testing her legs and felt that they worked, so she sat up, swinging her legs to the side of the cot as she looked around. There was a door that made her think of a ship. She tested her legs further when she stood, walking around the room. She was at Pandemonium and then she blacked out. She saw nothing before blacking out, which meant that whoever took her, drugged her. She moved her hands over her belly, her nerves fluttering as she thought about her baby. She prayed to the angels that the baby was okay. But she couldn't just sit there and wait for all the bad to happen. She blew out a breath, before closing her eyes and she thought about Caius and hoped, that Caius would hear her prayers and come rescue her. When she opened her eyes again, she was still in the same place and she sighed. She ran a hand through her hair before she searched the room, looking for any kind of weapon. She found a loose pipe that was tucked in a corner, so she picked it up and tested the weight in her palm, before she heard a creaking sound and the twisting of the hatch on the door, before it opened.

She raised the pipe in defense, and tried to make herself look fierce, despite feeling so scared inside at this very moment.

"I am faster and stronger than you." The man said, looking Bella over.

The man was tall, likely six foot. He was bald, his eyes were like pitch and it matched the scruff on his face. He was dressed in darker clothing, leather, like a traditional Shadowhunter and his voice was accented like Jace's.

"Who are you?"

"You don't remember me child?"

Bella studied the man, nothing coming to her, but she knew it had to be Valentine. "Valentine."

"Ah, so you do remember. I was hoping that we could have a chat. I don't wish to harm you. Put the pipe down."

Bella hesitated before she lowered her arms, but she didn't release the pipe. "Why did you kidnap me?"

"You mean, why did I take you back after those goons at the institute kidnapped you?" Valentine asked, arching a dark brow.

"They didn't kidnap me. I live there willingly." Bella said, trying to keep the tremor out of her voice.

Valentine smiled a sly looking smile. "Well, I'm sure they have told you how big and bad I am and all that. Let's cut to the chase. I need a very special item, in addition to you and then I'll have what I need to complete my mission."

"Controlling an army of demons is not a very smart mission." Bella retorted.

"Is that what they told you?" Valentine said, slightly amused.

"No, that's not what they told me. It is what Caius told me." Bella said, angling her face up, holding an air of defiance.

Valentine narrowed his eyes. "That is impossible."

"No, what's impossible, Valentine, is your little ploy. You think you can steal me away to complete whatever ritual you need, to open the gates of hell and flood earth with demons. Humans are not the problem; it's sick and twisted men like you."

Valentine wasn't smiling now. His eyes took on a dangerous look and he stepped towards Bella now. "You hold your tongue. You know nothing." He said, bellowing out the last part.

It startled Bella a little, causing her to flinch, but she didn't lower her pipe. She kept her stance. She would fight to protect herself and the child she was carrying. She tried to run through runes in her head, but nothing seemed to pop out to her yet.

The door opened again and in walked Jonathan, the man caught on the CCTV outside Pandemonium. Not only was he the one that kidnapped Bella, but he was also the son of Valentine and equally as evil.

Bella glanced between the two men now, her heart slamming in her chest harder.

"Father, we have an issue." Jonathan spoke, his tone was cool and monotonous. His dark eyes seemed dead or at least lost.

Valentine didn't look away from Bella. He just growled before leaving the room with Jonathan, locking Bella back inside the tiny room to herself.

Bella's arms lowered, her body shivering as she fought back the tears that wanted to spill over. This wasn't a time to cry, so she would suck it up and not give in to that pressure. She blew out a breath and thought about runes again. What could she use that would help her?

Suddenly the floor beneath her quaked and she had to use the wall to support herself so she wouldn't topple over. "What in the hell?" she muttered to herself, as she looked around. There were some shouting and loud noises that seemed to be happening topside.

It went on for several minutes before there was nothing but silence. It worried Bella now that there was complete silence. What had happened that made all that racket and movement?

When she heard footsteps rushing through the walls, she backed herself into the far part of the room, raising the pipe, gripping it tight in her hands, before the door twisted open. "You might be stronger than me, but I can use runes without a stele and I'll fuck you up!" She spat, but then her eyes widened at who through the door and she dropped the pipe, before she was rushing forward into Alec's arms. He caught her, hugging her against him. She inhaled his scent, the raw scent of his skin and the metallic blood of the people he obviously fought off.

"You're okay. I found you. I love you." Alec said quickly, his mouth finding hers and he kissed her hard and passionately. Tears actually rolled down his face as he kissed her. His heart hurt for several days as they tried to locate her. It wasn't until today that Caius, the angel, led them to her.

Bella was crying now too, as relief flooded her that Alec had come and rescued her. "I need to see the baby, Alec, I'm not sure what they drugged me with."

"Your child is fine." Caius's smooth voice entered the room.

Bella pulled back from Alec to look at Caius. He was dressed like a warrior angel, his wings tucked behind him, but still glorious. "Caius…"

"Yes, I descended from Heaven to save you Bella. When you woke, I could find you. Valentine and Jonathan are in angel custody now. Without you, we would have never found them." Caius explained.

Bella swallowed and nodded. "You've… taken them away?"

"We have. They'll be punished. The gates of hell will remain closed. You are safe to travel home." Caius said with a nod.

Bella looked back at Alec. "Alec…"

"Bella… baby, I'm so sorry. I should have been there… we could have-"

"It's not your fault. I uh… let's just get back to the institute. I think I'm going to be sick if I stay on this ship."

Alec just nodded and guided her out of the room and up to the top deck, where Jace, Iz, Magnus and many others were waiting.

When Bella emerged, there were gasps of disbelief that Bella was alive and, in the flesh, not because she was kidnapped a second time, but it was believed that Bella Herondale was dead.

Bella was confused as she looked at the faces of other Shadowhunters. Ones that were now kneeling before her. It made her feel awkward, so she cleared her throat. "Please don't kneel."

Alec ran a hand down her back and leaned in to whisper in her ear. "You are royalty. They regard you as a queen. It's custom."

"Oh, well…. I don't want it to be a custom, so everyone just stand." Bella said, her voice carrying louder than she thought it would. "I'm tired. I want to go rest. I suggest all of you do the same. Jace," she said and looked at Jace. "Can you take care of… things?"

Jace nodded. "I will." He said with a small grin, before he started barking out orders to the Shadowhunters. There were other men that were in captivity now, bound at their wrists. Men that were helping Valentine.

Magnus smiled and then opened a portal. "This way, m'lady. Get rest. I'll see you at the institute."

Bella smiled at Magnus. "Thank you, Magnus." She said, then grabbed Alec's hand and walked through the portal with him and it shut behind them. She turned and looked at Alec. "How long was I gone?"

Alec swallowed. "A week."

"I must have been sleeping… for so long. The Clave?"

"They know that you were kidnapped. That is why there were so many reinforcements."

"Do they know… about us? The baby?"

Alec nodded and took her hand in his as he looked at it, brushing his thumb over her knuckles gently. "They requested an audience with me after your retrieval. I have to go to Idris tomorrow to face my… consequences."

Bella frowned. "What? No. It's not your fault that I was kidnapped."

"That's not what I'm in trouble for." Alec murmured, his blue eyes reaching hers now.

Bella shook her head. "No, they can't do anything to you for falling in love. They can't break us apart. I won't stand for it!"

"Bella… baby, calm down." Alec said, his voice soothing. "Right now, I just want to take you to our room, get you in the shower and just take care of you. That's all. I just want to take care of you. Right now, I'm not the leader of this institute and you're not Queen of the Shadowhunters. Right now, we're Alec and Bella."

Bella felt tears prick her eyes. "They can't force us apart… right?"

Alec wasn't sure how to answer. He wasn't even sure what was going to happen tomorrow. "I don't know." He said, being honest. "Come on, please let me take care of you."

Bella wanted to stubbornly argue it more, but she gave in, not wanting to upset herself and Alec further. So, she followed him to their room. Where he took her clothes off. He was gentle, his hands moving over her body, washing over her. She felt fine, other than being exhausted despite sleeping for a week straight. She was emotionally drained and all she wanted was to run away with Alec somewhere. She leaned against him, the water cascading around them as she kissed him. It was soft at first, but it took on more, as she hungrily drank him in. She wanted more and he sense that in her. He shut off the water, getting them out of the shower and to the bed as he carefully laid her out.

His body moved over hers, his hands caressing her gently in all her favorite places, while his mouth kissed at her throat, at her breast, hip and thigh. She moaned, shivering in the sheets as he pleasured her with his mouth and his hands.

Her hips reached up and met his mouth as he drove his tongue against her clit, savoring every ounce of her. When her soul shattered and she orgasmed, she moaned loudly, before he was back at her mouth again, drinking in that pleasure, while his hot, hard cock dipped inside her. He was always gentle with her, the baby important to both of them, so he was gentle. She clung to him as he explored her depths, thrusting into her with passion. He clung back, not wanting these moments to ever go away. He found himself burying deep inside her, his shaft filling with his seed, before he released, his moans sounding in her ear as he buried his face in her wet hair.

He was careful not to put pressure on her as he slid from her and then they tangled together again, her head laying on his chest. Silence enveloped them as he drew small circles over her shoulder. His heart was calm now, after a few moments of laying together like that.

"Alec…"she murmured.

"Hmm?"

"I love you."

Alec kissed the top of her head. "I love you too." He murmured back.
