The Phantom rabbit led Claire back underneath the opera house. He was furious at her, and he will make her pay for revealing him. If she won't love willingly, he'll make her love him with force. He kept dragging her deeper and deeper towards his realm.
Claire tried with all her might to get away from him. She struggled, kicked, but nothing would release her from his tight hard grasp.
He continued to drag her along, and started yelling at her.
Cody Down once more to the dungeon of my black despair! Down we plunge to the prison of my mind! Down that path into darkness, deep as hell!
The rabbit then rounds on her, bitterly
Why, you ask, was I bound and chained In this cold and dismal place?
Not for any mortal sin But the wickedness of my abhorrent face!
The angry mob Track down this murderer! He must be found!
Cody Hounded out by everyone! Met with hatred everywhere! No kind word from anyone! No compassion anywhere! Christine, Christine ... Why, why...?
Fee Your hand at the level of your eyes!
Foo... at the level of your eyes...
Voices Your hand at the level of your eyes! Your hand at the level of your eyes!
Fee He lives across the lake, monsieur. This is as far as I dare go.
Foo Madame Giry...thank you
Fee turns to go back up the slope. Foo looks at the water. He removes his coat and plunges in.
As the imp swam he's swims past a purple horse lady known as a kelpie who was eating a sandwich while sitting on a rock next to her was a sign that said the phantoms lair
Elsewhere The angry mob was at the top of the slope. They come down to the lake edge, their torches flickering
The angry mob down this murderer, he must be found! Track down this murderer, he must be found! Hunt out this animal, who runs to ground!
Too long he's preyed on us, but now we know The Phantom of the Opera The Phantom of the Opera The Phantom of the Opera
The Phantom of the Opera is here Deep down inside!
He's here, the Phantom of the Opera... He's here, the Phantom of the Opera...
They turn back up the slope. Perhaps there is another way in. The gate to the lair descends, as the rest of the lair appears
At the lair the dummy of Claire sits crumpled on a large throne. The Phantom rabbit brings who was now only wearing his black pants ruffled shirt and dress vest
The fox wore the wedding dress
Claire roughly out of the boat. She frees herself and backs away as he stares blackly out front. Braving her terror, she addresses him fiercely
Claire Have you gorged yourself, at last, in your lust for blood? Am I now to be prey to your lust for flesh?
She turns away from him,
Cody That fate which condemns me to wallow in blood Has also denied me the joys of the flesh This face—the infection which poisons our love
The fox turns back when she heard him talk about his appearance
The disfigured rabbit takes the bridal veil from the dummy, and moves slowly towards her
Cody This face, which earned a mother's fear and loathing A mask, my first unfeeling scrap of clothing
The rabbit then places the veil on her head
Cody Pity comes too late— Turn around and face your fate: An eternity of this before your eyes!
They are almost touching. She looks coldly into his face. He puts the ring in her hand
Claire This haunted face holds no horror for me now It's in your soul that the true distortion lies
The rabbit suddenly senses Foo's presence. Behind the portcullis, Foo comes out of the water
Cody Wait! I think, my dear, we have a guest!
Claire Raoul
Cody Sir, this is indeed an unparalleled delight! I had rather hoped that you would come
The rabbit then grabs Claire
Foo NO
Cody And now my wish comes true— You have truly made my night!
The imp pleaded as he grasp the bars of the gate
Foo Free her!
The rabbit just laughs as the imp pleads
Foo Do what you will, only free her! Have you no pity?
Cody Your lover makes a passionate plea!
Claire Please Raoul, it's useless!
Foo I love her! Does that mean nothing? I love her! Show some compassion...
Cody The world showed no compassion to me!
Foo Christine, Christine Let me see her...
Cody Be my guest, sir...
He lets go of Claire and he gestures to the gate, and it opens. Foo steps inside cautiously, but not cautiously enough. Cody spreads his arms, and smiles,
Cody Monsieur, I bid you welcome! Did you think that I would harm her? Why should I make her pay, for the sins which are yours?
So saying, he takes the Punjab lasso and, before Foo has a chance to move, catches him by the neck.
Claire RAOUL
Foo gasps, and tries to get away, but it's too late. Claire sees and gasps as well, she makes her way to the water, just as Cody straps Foo up to the gate, and pulls the lasso around foo's neck snug and he began to ties foos hands behind his back .
Cody Order your fine horses now! Raise up your hand to the level of your eyes! Nothing can save you now—except perhaps Christine...
The disfigured rabbit turns to her
Start a new life with me—Buy his freedom with your love! Refuse me, and you send your lover to his death! This is the choice— This is the point of no return!
Claire couldn't believe what was happening. Here she was thinking that this man would change and learn to love. But so far, the only thing he's capable of loving is the pain of others. Tears start to stain her face, as she cried out angrily to Cody the disfigured rabbit
Claire The tears I might have shed for your dark fate Grow cold, and turn to tears of hate!
Foo Christine, forgive me, please forgive me I did it all for you, and all for nothing
Claire Farewell my fallen idol and false friend
Cody Too late for turning back, too late for prayers and useless pity!
Claire We had such hopes, and now those hopes are shattered!
The imp could feel tears coming into his eyes, as he cried out to her,
Foo Say you love him And my life is over
Cody All hope of cries for help No point in fighting!
Both Cody/Foo"For either way you choose, he has to win/you cannot win!"
The rabbit began tugging again on the rope around Foo 's neck,
Cody So, do you end your days with me Or do you send him to his grave?
Foo Why make her lie to you, to save me?
Claire Angel of Music...Who deserves this?
Cody Past the point of no return The final threshold
Foo For pity's sake, Christine, say no! Don't throw your life away for my sake!
Cody His life is now the prize which you must earn!
Foo ( in tears ) I fought so hard to free you...
The fox had tears dripping down her face, as she sees Foo.
Cody You've passed the point of no return...
Claire Angel of Music, you deceived me I gave my mind blindly
Cody You try my patience—make your choice!
He pulls tighter on the rope around Foo's neck, making his point.
She looks sadly at him, and reflects for a moment. Then she looks up at Cody, still sadness in her eyes. She steps into the water, and moves towards him,
Claire Pitiful creature of darkness What kind of life have you known?
God give me courage to show you. You are not alone
The fox the suddely kisses him long and full on the lips. The embrace lasts a long time. Foo watches in horror and wonder. Then Claire kisses him again
The kiss deepens with such passion, that Cody cannot recall ever feeling something like this before. It made him realize what he's doing to Claire . He is holding her back from her true love… all because of the hate he has towards the world.
Because of this hate, it has affected the way he felt about her when she first came into his world. He felt tears of shame coming into his eyes, as Claire pulled back, looking at him with those sad violet eyes.
The start rabbit sobbing quietly, and turns away from her.
Then he takes lighted candle and slowly walks torwards Foo and holds it above Foo's head.
A tense moment. But the suspended rope suddenly falls harmlessly—the Rabbit has burnt the rope of the noose freeing the imp .
Resigned, he addresses Foo, as they hear the voices of the approaching Angry Mob
Angry Mob Track down this murderer, he must be found!
Cody Take her, forget me, forget all of this!
Angry mob Hunt out this animal who runs to ground!
Cody Leave me alone, forget all you've seen!"
Claire started untying Foo's hands needing no second bidding. Cody made his way back to land,
Cody Go now, don't let them find you!
The angry mob revenge for Piangi! revenge for Buquet!
Cody Take the boat, swear to me, never to tell
Angry Mob Too long he's preyed on us but now we know
Cody The secret you know,
After untying him, Claire embraced Foo tight.
Angry Mob This creature must never go free!" The Phantom of the Opera is there, deep down below!
Cody of this Angel in hell ...GO
Cody ( screams ) Go now and leave me!
Foo and Claire move off towards the boat as the rabbit breaks down crying
Then suddely the monkey music box began to play music and played the cymbals
Cody Masquerade Paper faces on parade Masquerade Hide your face, so the world... will never find you
Cody Christine, I love you...
Tears began to stream down the foxes face as she slowly slips the ring off her finger , His smile fades, as she places it in his palm then she gives his hand a squeeze, and hurries off
Claire then took one last look at the rabbit face as the boat began to pull away and the rabbit just nodded
She then tuned to Foo as he rows away and began to sing
Claire Say you'll share with me One love, one lifetime
Foo Say the word and I will follow you
Claire Share each day with me each night each morning...
The rabbit tearfully watches them disappear in the boat. He sighs and sings out, grabbing one of his candle holders
Cody You alone can make my song take flight— It's over now, the music of the night!
He soon starts smashing up all the mirrors he has in that room. Letting all his emotions out, as he smashes all the mirrors he's got and then the rabbit walks slowly towards the throne. He takes his place on it., he then took his cloak and placed it over him.
The Mob, including piri piri, appears
She starts looking around for her friend. She doesn't see her anywhere, but she something soon catches her eye.
She approaches the Phantom's throne and pulls away the cloak,
But he was gone the only thing on the throne was his white mask.
Piri piri picks it up. She slowly turns it over presenting it to the mob.
The rabbit was gone… forever. And he doesn't want to be found… forever…
Sitting next to the throne was the monkey musical box sitting there silently waiting for its owner to return.
Back to present day 1919
The auction was now over
Old Foo was in now at the Cemetery his nurse wheeled him torwards a grave
The grave had a picture of Claire on it saying Christine 1850-1917
The elderly imp the gentley sets the monkey music box on the grave of his long departed lover.
Foo just signs for a moment and then turns to leave, but stops upon noticing a red rose with a black ribbon tied around the stem lying on the ground with Claire's engagement ring attached to it
Foo just looked around the Cemetery torwards the daae crypt but there was no one else there.
But the imp just knows that Phantom rabbit is still alive and will always love her.
For love never dies
The end
